You can easily see the care & commitment from the instructors during Student Night. Just watching how the entire Rhum team interacts with the students shows you their passion and commitment to the musical arts!

I have been a student at Rhum Academy for almost nine years. All of the teachers are extremely knowledgeable about music, as well as music theory, composition, and performance. Everyone at the academy is very personable, and the quality of the instruments is astounding!! Rhum has given me experiences unlike any other when it comes to performing and improving as a musician!!

Rhum is a special place where students receive music instruction that fits their individual needs and is tailored to their musical preferences. When you walk in the door you can feel the passion for music-making; its contagious!

Rhum Academy has been a wonderful place for me and my family. As an adult musician, I know our music students need safe places to make mistakes and grow. The American Idol model of having to be perfect the first time is hurting the next generation of musicians and singers - Rhum Academy directly fights that. During their monthy student nights, even on their worst night, students recieve unanimous applause and compliments. I cant stress this enough - this is a SAFE PLACE.

Awesome place! Instructors are very attentive, supportive, and dedicated to letting you learn at your own pace. While most of the students are kids, I am an older student and having a fantastic time with it. No complaints at all, highly recommend it.

Ive known Gary for years and he is the best music teacher Ive ever been around. His passion for music and people are unmatched and is also contagious. I would recommend Rhums Academy of Music to anyone. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned artist/musician, you will grow.

My son takes guitar lessons there and his teacher is amazing! The owner always remembers my sons name and asks how he is doing frequently. Very involved owner! They also have a student night once a month so the students get the chance to perform in front of a small audience. We love it there!

If there is a place to watch music talent, buy instruments, get lessons, make friends, feel a community, then it must be Rhums Academy of Music. A wonderful place with wonderful people. Go to a Student Night on a Friday or Saturday if you dont believe me. Its only 5 bucks!

Rhum Academy is one of the jewels of the City of Kokomo. World class performances, teachers, and just all around great people. This is the kind of place that makes other places jealous and they should be. Gary Rhum and the Rhum Academy are world class. So lucky to have them here in Kokomo and to have access to some of the best entertainment in the Midwest.
