Always great. Wide selection of instruments. Layaways and payment plans available. Beautiful, clean store. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. This has been my preferred music store since I first learned to play instruments in 5th grade.

I never have to go to other stores, they always have what I want at great prices . There show room floor is set up with every instrument available. The owners are wonderful people, friendly, polite . And they stand behind there products !

This is definitely a five star music store. They have a very nice display of all types of musical instruments, amplifiers, and other types of gear. If they dont have what youre looking for they can get it. Ive been purchasing products from this location for quite a few years and have never once been disappointed. Prices are very good and the people working here are very knowledgeable. And if you feel like youd like to have more knowledge about music then this is the place to go because they have a great one-on-one instructors. This is a wonderful story you have built John, and you deserve this type of rating.

Everyone who even dabbles in music knows local shops are always gonna be a bit pricier than online shopping for supplies and gear. That being said, I support local businesses especially those ran by good people and those with roots like John and co. The people are very friendly, helpful, and just fun to converse with. I like to come in and check out whats on the rack and buy my go-to daddario strings. I do not mind in the least paying the couple extra bucks for them. Well-worth it!

I love this store! They have everything a musician could ever want. There is all sorts of instruments, instrument care supplies, replacement parts, and more sheet music and books than you could ever imagine! They also have lessons and a rock band training camp! All of their instructors are professionals, many graduating from Ball State University with degrees in music and education. They are very well established and they have a family like atmosphere. If your grandpa played an instrument chances are that he got his supplies from here.

Took a older saxophone in for a few repairs. It was finished in a couple days. The work done by Larry is amazing and well worth double what I paid. Larry also did previous work on this saxophone many years ago removing a very large dent in the side of the bell at the brand markings, after he was finished you would never have known that there was ever a dent.

Recently bought my first guitar from sound of music and I couldn’t be happier with the customer service and quality of what I bought. Special thanks to Bryce for going above and beyond restringing and adjusting my guitar when I brought it in today. I am a customer for life.

Lessons department is top notch as they offer lessons on guitar, bass, ukulele, banjo, mandolin, violin, viola, cello, drums, piano, vocals, songwriting...just about anything you can think of. Seems like staff genuinely love music and teaching. However, the selection is low midrange to midrange and fairly overpriced. Again staff seems very knowledgeable on music theory but not so much on gear. Owner can come across a little arrogant at first but hes a good guy just cares about his business which is a good thing.

TERRIBLE!!!! I took my Gibson Les Paul (not epiphone) guitar in for work and instead was asked to buy new. They dont want to work on anything. Only sell their over priced guitars. Even their trade ins are more expensive than anywhere. The old man is rude. When he finally quit blowing his nose in front of me (gross!) he basically insulted me and said good luck and walked me to the door like I was a thief. I had just gotten off work and was in work cloths. I have money you old fool!!! Save your time and dignity. 20% is too high for this fool. Id like to leave a negative 5 star.

Best selection in town

Was given terrible strings in an Ernie ball package. Broke immediately after every restring. Guitars are overpriced by 40% or more and I when I asked for suggestions on equipment they did not help at all.

Bad guitar strings which for there Ernie Ball strings they dont really break so them breaking stringing or putting the sightest pressure on the cord theyre ¢50 stings. So paying $30 for three packs which online I can get them for $14....pretty messed up....
