Top notch business. A La Crosse landmark. Owners are very caring and a delight to work with. Their magnificent, historic building is currently undergoing full restoration. Worth a visit for that reason alone.

Bought a piano here many years ago which has become a central piece. 4 kids all playing and stopped in for some sheet music while visiting the area. Everyone was still as friendly and helpful as ever.

A decently priced music store with a pretty good selection overall. The workers aren’t very enthusiastic but they seem decently educated. My only gripe is I bought an instrument they claimed was just tuned very painstakingly, and playing it after purchase, it was very clearly out of tune. Not an easy fix for a beginner to make, either, as the tuning mechanisms are within the complex instrument. It’s an alright store, but make sure you know you’re stuff super well so you know you’re making a good purchase.

Leitholds has been my music store of choice for years! I grew up taking lessons here and have purchased a couple of instruments and numerous music books from them. Always have a great experience!

We rented a trumpet for my son from Leitholds. Upon purchasing a trumpet privately from another person I returned the rental trumpet and was told ”we will stop charging your card now.” Apparently that is not the case. We were charged for another month. The owners response is beside the point because they were not supposed to charge my card again! The fact that the unauthorized charge they made is a “pending charge” is beside the point.

We lease two instruments for our kids through Leithold Music. They are quality instruments and the staff is helpful.
