Im tired of wasting gas when in search of a product the app says in stock but in reality is out of stock. Makes me mad especially with gas prices nowadays.

I moved to the area a few months ago and I have tried every grocery store in the neighborhood. This one is the best. The store is well organized and the parking lot is easy to access and always clean. The last three times I’ve shopped there I had a cashier/checker names Elizabeth. She is quick and friendly, and bags my groceries perfectly.This is one of the best Walmart’s I’ve ever been in.

It wasnt my best experience there however there were plenty of belted registers open which was awesome. Mid Sunday afternoon shopping therefore the store wasnt in the best of shape. Grocery aisles were really messy and unfortunately I was never greeted by any employee on the floor. There were actually plenty between employees that were stocking items and shopping for online customers and none of them greeted me.

Dont order delivery with Walmart plus and this store. 6 hrs then they canceled. Then called the store was given run around. Never will I recommend Walmart plus to anyone. They informed me it was the stores responsibility to fulfill orders and assign drivers.

It was pretty bad today. Usually fine, decent prices. The cashier was miserably slow and his boss was condescending and verbally undressed him in front of everyone.

Perfect day to shop Walmart! Few people, great service and a place to park my car in the shade.

This was my first experience with contactless pickup and that part didnt go so well. The associate I asked in parking lot was disinterested in helping me and sent me to the wrong place. However, each person I spoke to at the 800 number were very helpful and eventually we got it straightened out and I went to customer service to get my groceries which were for ready to be picked up. Next time I know where to go and Im sure it will go much more smoothly, but I just couldnt give it five stars this time around.

My first experience using the app for home delivery was easy. Juan the delivery driver was polite. My only concern is that my order was not complete. I was missing a block of cheese. I know just a Block of cheese but it was for my Easter brunch. Yes, I will continue with the home delivery, next driver will have to wait until I confirm my order is complete.

It had every food that I went out to get. The meat prices were a little to high for my liking but it is ok. The workers where really nice and helpful. I would shop there again.

Great prices, they have fresh corn on the cob, $.50 ea, fruits and vegetables are always fresh, the small melons are hard so plan on putting them on a window sill. Its not a huge place, like the big stores so you can get in & out fast with ample parking space.

During hard times, I must say it is hard to find good people. I lost my phone today, and some kind heart turned it in! I don’t know if it was a customer or an employee. Either way, you are awesome! I shop here often, and I will continue to do so.

Great way to grocery shop. Order online and drive to the Walmart pickup spaces alongside the market. They load the bags into your trunk. No contact. Fast and friendly employees. I havent had to wait. You get updates of items they may have run out of or have substituted another item for on email. Not obligated to accept the substitutions and they do not charge you a higher price even if the substituted product is higher priced than the product they ran out of. I have also used the Walmart grocery delivery, but I dont have high recommendations for it. They use Door Dash. Delivered to the wrong address twice! Drivers are not like Walmart employees. The could care less about you.

Store is very well-organized. Although I mostly order online and come to pick up, I still occasionally shop in person and am very satisfied.

Good prices. Good selection. I would of gave it a 5 star but checkout always takes longer than your average grocery store. Best place to swap out your propane tank. Only $15 for a swap. Its easy to exchange. No need to go in and pay. You can pay at the propane rack.

Ive been doing pick up of my groceries since Wal-Mart started offering this service. Always a fast and easy way to not have to deal with the crowds in the store.

Lately noticed alot of items are no longer available and Im having to go to The main WalMart at grossmont. Shame because these are primarily food items and having to travel there with no vehicle isnt the best way to find out I cant complete my grocery shopping

My first two times ever into a Walmart Neighborhood Market have been in the past week at this same location (following a nearby work shift)... and both shopping trips have been very successful!!There were several non-grocery items on my shopping List, and I was pleasantly surprised to find nearly all of them both sold here, AND actually in stock!! ...and my visits here were on Christmas Eve & on New Years Day! 😊I found this to be a lovely, cute/little mini-version of an otherwise-hectic sprawling Walmart store!Well done!! 👍

Easily reached from La Mesa, east San Diego, and west El Cajon. Plenty of parking. This market is really clean and well stocked. The ctr. has a Hobby Lobby, a hair salon, and a discount clothing super store.Nearby you can have your automobile serviced at a multi dealership, and a Discount Tire Store. Numerous drive thru food shops surround Walmart Neighborhood Grocery. And its a safe place to shop after dark.

Walmart Neighborhood Market is an okay place to shop in my opinion. Ive shopped worse. Of course there is room for growth and improvement in every business no matter how big or small. As for cleanliness I had to dock a star. During these COVID-times I believe its pertinent to keep all aisles presentable and clean. Didnt get offered any help either. Other than that all was okay.

When you see a greeter at the door they usually say hi, welcome. Not today....even after saying hi to her not only once but twice and louder the second time thinking she did not hear me. But the lady behind me must have been a regular because she seemed very happy to see her and engaged in small talk with her. JS Betsy!!

It was great. There was a lot of freight out on the floor but it was late in the evening. Otherwise I was able to find all my food needs. Staff was friendly as well and more than willing to help.

I really like this grocery store. While I live in Bonita, my daughter goes to school in La Mesa once a week so I plan my shopping around this.Produce is fresh, most everything is stocked on point and the prices are far better than Vons, Ralphs, etc. Thanks so much for the one stop shop at a great value!!

My parents get their weekly groceries from the curbside pickup. Theyve been doing this for years at this location and usually its great! We also go inside on occasion for random things. Today we went in and were having a lot of trouble using a gift card. We had tried to use the card at a different walmart and they just said we were out of luck. We had called and knew there was plenty of money on it but it just wouldnt work. Betty who was helping us checkout and then also her manager Colleen were not only able to help us use it but they were also incredibly patient and kind while doing it! On another occasion an associate (I forgot to get her name) was so helpful and sweet when I had an issue with self checkout. This is my favorite walmart to go to. I just wish they were a full walmart, then I would never have to go anywhere else!

This location has a few items that are limited to only a few locations. Its clean and convenient. The parking lot is always packed. Self checkout is the best.

Has products you dont find everywhere like chicken fried steak, in the frozen section. Has other yummy item in the frozen section too. Prices have gone up here since pandemic hit. Staff isnt always nice so that is hit and miss

Great mini Walmart that has all the essentials, in a convenient, easy to navigate store. Supports Walmarts Scan and Go in the app so you can skip the checkout lines.

I go here for the pharmacy. Otherwise, I wouldnt shop here. But it has mostly what I need. No bakery, deli, or fresh fish, though, and the produce isnt great. The prepackaged fruit is overripe and mushy. The vegetables look sad. Some items are fresh. Prices are decent, though. In typical Walmart fashion, there are huge varieties of chips, domestic beer, candy, and soda, plus tons of frozen meals. Not usually things I buy. Theres a lack of help, especially baggers (I bagged everything myself last trip--7 bags) and there are never enough checkers. There are self-checkouts, but some dont take cash, which bothered a couple people in line last time I was in. I do like the pharmacy, though. Good customer service, for the most part, and I will get text notifications when a Rx is due and ready.

Its convenient to stop if in the area. Inventory for online shopping is often incorrect, pick up for online shopping is a little slow on the service side, considering you have to set an appt time when you place order. All in all, same low Walmart prices and you dont have to go to the bigger store, which I appreciate.

I went to see their selection of alternatives to milk and food staples. I was very surprised that they have humanely raised turkey in very small quantities, as well as cage free organic eggs. They had 3 different kinds of almond milk. They also had fresh strawberries, Teavanna teas, copious amounts of coffee including mct oil and Bulletproof coffees, and 2 of the largest Aisles of frozen foods Ive seen in a walmart, teeming with healthy and delicious meal ideas. Item size and flavor or types can differ from a regular Walmart just as a warning. In my case the Mexican frozen foods were different flavors, but they still have them, and I found this to be a similar situation with a few other items available at a regular Wal-Mart.I went at 4:00 P.M. on a Wed. and they were almost out of (in my opinion) the best nutrition for your money in bread, the Great Value company, which they normally stock their traditional stores full of, down to 6 loaves and only one flavor. I have never seen Normal Walmart run out of these, in which they have a huge variety of. You can avoid this by checking their app and searching their stock.This store is better than a traditional Walmart by simply so much, I found my list doubling in items. If you go to a regular Walmart only to buy food, stop going there and visit this store. This is across the other side of the freeway in my case, less than 1 mile difference from the original.Picture attached is of the parking lot right as we left. Parking is huge and serves another large store as well.

I am hoping that there is some sort of legislation that gives frontline workers at supermarkets some sort of additional compensation. Never been a huge fan of WalMart. Like all giant conglomerates that screw over their employees, WalMart is at the top of the list of companies that can do more for their employees but choose not to.I shop here as a last resort and my politics aside, its WalMart. No gleaming reviews. Employees are as amicable as youd expect. In their defense they are working under strenuous conditions in regular times so I cant imagine the stress they are under now with a pandemic and dealing with maskholes that just dont believe in personal space or health of others. I do what I always do here Get in, get out, get on with my life. I cant write nothing crazy here, they just have more things I need than my local grocery store and thus why I end up here from time to time.

Large warehouse feel. Isles are narrow and congested. Not impressed with how grocery items are stocked in store. Felt like being on a scavenger hunt to find simple items like Lunchables and Pistachios. Definitely not a super center! Customer service area is spacious. Has separate/divided stations to accommodate Returns and miscellaneous purchasing (money orders, money wires, etc) to move line along and comply with social distancing. Good store to go to for general merchandise shopping...recommend staying with grocers ( Costco, Ralphs, Vons etc) for complete and satisfactory grocery shopping.

We ordered groceries online to pickup. We were supposed to pickup at 2pm to 3pm.We were there at 2pm and it took over2 hours to bring out groceries to the car. That place is a zoo. Some people were so upset they cancelled their order.

Not overcrowded and quick in and out. Shelves were neat and organized.

This is probably the only place I have been able to get the beef bacon my significant other can eat. She is allergic to soy, which will permeate the meat of the animals fed soy, and this beef bacon from grass-fed cows. Sadly, it is almost always out of stock.This is a very nice Walmart Grocery, the employees are friendly and the foods are fresh.Also, nine times out of ten, your Walmart grocery delivery orders are picked up by Postmates from this location.

Great for quick grocery shopping... Nighttime can be a little tricky because thats when they stock but employees are always friendly and try to stay out of the customers way while stocking the shelfs I appreciate that.

All the reviews of great selections, friendly knowledgeable staff, great location, fresh vegetables, well lit and clean store, and great prices are consistently true. However, I found out today, the staff is also the most honest and caring team anyone could ever hope for. Yesterday I had inadvertently left my wallet in the store after a customer service representative helped me with questions on receipt. Today they called me on my work phone and said they had some of my property with all my ID inside. Everything is in my wallet including my work information. When I returned to pick it up, they cheerfully retrieved it from the lock box and acted as if it was no big deal. As everyone knows, a lost wallet can be a life changing event in the wrong hands. The entire team at the La Mesa CA, WalMart Neighborhood Market is the best and they made it possible for me to resume my life. I’ll keep a better grip on my wallet going forward. Thank you!

Only one checker working and the line was wrapped around the inside of the building. Wanted to get a bottle of rum and pressed the button and the person unpacking boxes didnt even acknowledge us.

It is Walmart... There are many Walmarts just like it, but this one is ours. 😁Do wish some of the fruit (like apples) was better quality, but you get what you pay for.

They have more tea options and crackers without chemicals and added sugars.

The cat litter that showed online in store was not there, nor ANY TYPE. Checkout lines very long. Good prices arees why I go there, period. Staff is nice.

A huge selection of products at great competitive prices, along with a particularly extensive meat department (no deli!), frozen goods aisle, and pharmacy. With expedient self-checkout stations along with helpful cashiers, its sure to make any trip to get the necessities a breeze!
