Ooo yesss we found alot of pokwmon things in this store and last time we whent i found $34 in the ground jijijiji that was supper and i love that they are always supper nice to everyone..i always make sure that i put rhe cart back they have sooo manny great things here evwryone should go visit them..they just did a remodle inside soo they made it way better alot of Disney things alot of things really sheap..they sale fast..

Havent been here in quite a while, but last night my husband and i decided to go and holy moly we were impressed! They seemingly have everything. Something for everyone in the family! Sucks that we got there so late but were going back tonight =)

I went there today with my mother. I gave 60 dollars for a 33 dollar bill on accident. The cashier Xana gave me 6 dollars and 84 cents back. She never put the money in the register and was calculating something on her phone. When I asked where the other 20 was because I gave her 3 20s she lifghted 2 20s up and said no just these from the side of the register. Sooper sketch. Got to the car the receipt said cash rendered 60 dollars. She stole 20 dollars thinking I didnt remember giving her 3. When I went back the manager just gave me 20 bucks and did not seem interested that her employee was stealing. Seems like they all do this often. Id give no stars but thats not an option.

Havent been to this Big Lots in a while and they have done some changes. Face masks while shopping and much better check out area. I think they have done a great job.

Loved that the place was nicely stocked ! But the cashier completely ruined the trip for me. She was rude and completely out of line when we were returning something. I understand that working retail is hard and not the most rewarding job, but you dont need to act needlessly rude to customers because youre in a bad mood or whatever.

Nice big lots, larger than others. Typically clean and well maintained. The bathrooms are weird (2 toilets in female restroom but no stalls - pee with a buddy! 😅) but at least they are available. I was able to find lysol disinfecting products here during the pandemic for cheap ($2) where they were hard to come by elsewhere.

Very nice people working there...always ready to help....we have small grandchildren....buy lots of cookies...etc,, and, prices are so much less than the grocery stores... its a win win...

Their parking lot is huge and inside is very clean and well-kept. They welcome you Into the Store. They also have financing on beds and furniture from my understanding. Also when youre done shopping you can get yourself up a pizza from Little Caesars or go across the street to Jack In The Box.

Im a type 1 diabetic; I was in line with 2 people a head of me, my blood sugar was Very Low & I asked one of the employees if I could set my things down so I could look for my glucose tabs in my purse. She was extremely helpful, asking if I needed to sit down, then opened up a cash register to check me out & made sure I was alright before leaving the store. I was extremely impressed with the care & concern I was shown.

Went looking for a fire pit and they did not have one, but it was fun to look around. They had amazing christmas decorations although the prices werent great and sometimes did not make much sense. They had really nice mattresses for really good prices. The outdoor furniture was a small selection and very disappointing as well as pricey. Found some cute unicorn skeleton decorations that lit up for Halloween but the rest of the halloween decor was not great.

Well tonight my son and I walked to BB Big Lots and John our cashier was amazing,, excellent customer service, great job thanks again. My son loves the earphones; and to the petty lady running all over for answering all my questions we cant wait to build our Hersheys Gingerbread House.

Big Lots has always been a place that we shop. Stopped in today for one thing, ended up having to get a cart. We had between $75 & $100 in items in our cart, when we got in line to check out. We stood in line for 20 minutes and moved from 5th in line, to 4th in line. Waited another 10 minutes, watching all three lines that were open for check out and the one to the far left, checked out two people. The other two lines had not budged. We pushed our cart to the side and left the store. It was a complete waste of an hour, to then wait for 30 minutes to move one place in line...to leaving with nothing. One hour and 30 minutes, we will never get back.

This is always a reliable go-to store for cheap goodies, home goods and even Christmas and seasonal stuffs! The best retail still around next to what K-Mart offers. Would definitely recommend to a friend. Its exactly what you think it is. Five stars from me

Been shopping here for years and cant say Ive ever had a truly bad experience. You can get almost anything you need for a decent price and most of the time its relatively quick. Good place to pick up those last-minute items.Sometimes the line can get pretty long, but they always open up a new register when that happens. The staff are very friendly and helpful overall, as well.

If youre looking for really good stocking stuffer gifts or items for the office party raffle, this is the place to go. I usually buy items for $20 or under which are significant. Everyone really enjoys winning a prize. They also have really good gag gifts. Buy early in December as they run out of these items.

However, was severely disappointed to enter lake Murray location after purchasing planters (one cracked with plant in it) called store was informed they were closed to come in AM (bring your receipt). When I entered the store (lama) horrible reception. If your the manager it would be highly recommended for you to retake the customer service didactic!! Blessings. Praying for you🙏🏽

The coworkers at this establishment are often unhelpful and rude. I made a purchase today and presented my card and asked if I would be able to get my five dollar off discount. The employee assured me I would get my discount as long as they presented my card. Did I get the discount?. No. I don’t understand the membership details, but my big lots card went swiftly in the trash. I will not be returning.

Stores around town were all out of paper towels including Big lots. Had to go to a 4th store, Vons who had one package left which I was lucky to get.

Easy access and parking. Clean rest rooms. Good selection of house wares, personal grooming items and toys but a limited inventory of food and clothing. The fun is hunting for the good buys.

Bargains to be found, if youre careful. I usually wait until they have their 20% off everything on the store sales.

There was an amazing amount of hassle from the store manager when I tried to return a defective Christmas decoration that my wife purchased just 2 weeks before. I just assembled it, plugged it in, and half of the product didnt work. I decided to take it right back for an exchange or refund. We didnt have a receipt because we didnt expect to return or exchange it. We expected it to work. I did have the credit card statement showing the date of purchase, and I had a copy of the ad showing the price and date of the sale that agreed with our purchase date. Other stores have actually looked up a receipt with that information. The manager here said, I cant do anything for you without a receipt. and just left it at that. Even though the item was defective, and he acknowledged they sold out within a day of the start of the sale. He said maybe he could do something if I found the receipt between now and January 15th. Most of the other stores I shop at such as Costco, Target, and Sears bend over backward to please their customers. Service (or lack of) like Big Lots, makes me wonder why we ever shopped there in the first place.

Maybe I just havent had a bad experience yet, but I go to Big Lots in La Mesa probably twice a week. Maybe I am just treated differently than those who are not regulars. I have my Big Lots Rewards key chain card attached to my car keys, so I make sure they scan the card with every visit. If you do this with every purchase, you do not need to keep your receipt. I returned an item the other day without my receipt and told them to scan my card. The purchase appeared on their computer. They gave me a refund. Of course, I try to keep receipts but at Big Lots it makes sense to scan my card just in case. At Christmas, I was looking for a particular tree holder. I couldnt find it. The cashier had someone check and they couldnt find one. Then she said let me search for you myself. She did a thorough search of the store. I told her that it wasnt necessary. But she did and when she couldnt find it she offered to have someone call a larger store in Sports Arena area. I said, No that is too far a drive but thank you for searching for me. I know every visit may not be the best. People are not always at their best. But so far, I have had a good experience.
