Lowcountry Ace Hardware on College Park Road in Ladson is a reliable source for all things hardware and supplies. They have an excellent selection of items at a good value and I have always been able to find exactly what I w been looking for each time. I have been happy with all of the purchases that I have made from here.

We were locked out of our house by closing the front door. In the car I realized I only had my car keys, but had left my house keys in my pocketbook in the house. Immediately my husband mentioned going to Ace Hardware on College Park, this store is one we go in for help in purchasing things for our home. The owner, wife, and employees are always ready to help with any questions to get the right supplies. We went in told the wife, what happened in about 2 seconds she picked up the phone, to call a locksmith. By the time we got back home, the locksmith was parked in front of our house. The door was unlocked by the locksmith and we were so happy to enter our home again.

Very helpful staff and all very friendly, not much of a small talker but enjoyed speaking to all the gentlemen at the counter, helped me out with my roach problem and was very descriptive and saved me from destroying my baseboards with expanding foam. Good place to go for just about anything home improvement, it was great experience, even the customers were pleasant and helped out with buying a water tap for my home, and had only good things to say about the store. Highly recommend.

Im impressed by there stock and love how they price things, however they are really a different type of costumer service mind set than I like... What I am saying is that this place is the type of place that will pick and choose just whom they care to say Welcome to Ace Hardware, can I help you find anything type of mentality... I dont know what it is about me or my actions or possibly my appearances that warrants the type of attention that I receive. However in my opinion a person should never be judged by there appearances... Because of the way I was made to feel in this store, I will not be going back there if I have other choices. Even though I have to go out of my way to make it happen, I would rather feel better about my shopping experience even if I have to go ten minutes out of my way to do so....

I ordered the product from multiple locations for same day pickup. I only did this because I needed more than any 1 store had in stock. I immediately got a confirmation email. I waited 4 hours from 8 am to 12. Since I needed the items immediately, 4 hours was all I could wait. I then went to the store and picked the same items I ordered off of the shelf. It took me literally 1 minute to find the items as it was multiple of the same items. I then walked to the counter and explained that I ordered the product online and could not wait any longer to pick them up. It then took them 10 minutes to look up the order and tell me that I needed to wait to receive an email saying that they were ready to be picked up. I explained again that I have the itsms on my hand and that they were already paid for online. It was explained to me that I could not pick them up until they sent me an email so I just said Ill buy them again in person because I needed it right then for a job. I then paid a second time for the items I had already purchased 4 hours earlier online and left the store. Finally at 7 pm, I received an email saying that my order could not be picked up until 3 days from then. So it took 11 hours before someone actually tried to pick my order from 8 am only for them to realize I already came into the store to re-purchase the items at 12. 7 pm is not a practical time to receive an item purchased for same day pickup. I was really aggravated because in all 4 stores I ordered from, when I got there I had to wait 10 minutes for someone to locate the order then another 10 minutes listening to them explain to me that I had to wait until I received an email, and then still just ended up paying for the items again. None of the 4 stores were busy with customers, in fact, in ALL instances, when I walked in 2 or 3 employees were merely atnding around talking to each other and other employees that were actually working were stocking the shelves with new merchandise. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. If you need it right away, youre better off taking your chances and going to the store and picking them off the shelf yourself. The fact that they did have my hard to find part readily available is the only reason I would go back.UPDATE: To be fair, this was the only store that I did not have to re-purchase from, however, the order wasnt acknowledged until I was in the store to pick it up and I had already pulled the item from the shelf, which was 4 hours after the purchase. I upgraded the star rating for this one because they did try to make it right.

I MUCH PREFER THE PERSONALIZED Help at a Local Hardware store like this. So much easier for me to find what I need, in and out fast. Personalized service the employees seem to care more. I love Home Depot but just Prefer a local Ace for most things.

I was met at the front entrance, and was asked if I needed assistance. I sure did, and the sales association took me to each place I needed assistance and was polite very knowledgeable and made sure I was satisfied, and I was. I did ask him if Veterans still received a 10% discount by showing my ID card that’s listed online through the Ace Hardware homepages. He said, not really anymore, but we can give you a 5% discount by showing my retired military ID. I did and still satisfied, but the main Ace Hardware page should update their discount policies to certain organizations to fit all Ace Hardcore Stores/Franchises.

Horrible attitude for the lady at the counter. I went there for a Uhaul. Had the truck number and confirmation. The horrible lady at the counter told me that I was late and that my truck had been reserved by another customer. Horrible attitude and customer service!! I ended up having to drive to another location to get a truck. Let me tell all my friends helping me move that I will be late because Ace doesnt value their customers!! Horrible!!!

Came here to drop off our U-Haul trailer on a one way rental. We were able to drop the trailer after hours without any issues.We didnt have any problems after we dropped it. I broom swept the trailer. The paperwork was handled quickly and we were not charged for any other fees.

Ace is always my first stop when looking for tools and hardware for whatever project Im working on. The store owners are always there working and are some of the nicest people you could ever meet. Theyll go above and beyond to help make sure you find what youre looking for. If they dont have it, theyll take the time to find out who does have it for you. All of the people that work there are just as friendly and very knowledgeable. Its these things that make this store such a great place to shop. That and Id rather shop locally than go to some big corporate chain store.

I was working on some projects at the house and as usual, didnt have everything I needed, so I found myself headed to the hardware store. I decided to try ACE out and Im very happy I did. I was greeted warmly by a smiling face, something you definitely wont find at lowes or home depot, the staff was attentive to my needs and also knowledgeable about the products they were selling. The store was clean and well stocked with everything the average DIY expert could need. ACE has earned my lifelong business. Thank you for the great experience.

I needed a small part for my shower door and sink. If you do have the part you can take there makes it a lot easier but they really go out of their way to help you. Worked perfectly.

ACE Is the place. Love this place. Friendly associates. Down to earth people. Memories of the ACE HARDWARE where I lived. Bought my first home they helped me with everything . the store had a lower level main floor and upper floor they had everything you needed. I would rate this place on a scale from 1to10.
