A very friendly and honest automotive center in lafayette! I took my car there for AC issues and they were able to get me in day of! They offer some free services and a very transparent about next steps and pricing. They also offer a variety of automotive services themselves. I have been going to this mechanic for about the last ten years. I have recommended numerous people to call or stop up here. I have always got excellent work at a fair price, and have never felt like I was getting hit with unnecessary repairs. Jose also shares donuts with the customers sometimes. I came in because my AC wasn’t working, and the guy at the front explained what may be the cause of it very well for a non-car person like myself. Service was optimal and the chairs in the waiting room were so comfortable I fell asleep. The only thing that soured the mood was the kid of a worker who couldn’t play quietly.Will go back again!!

TLDRProbably the best auto shop in Greater Lafayette: honest and friendly staff, very competitive price, quality and efficient work.Because we are going to have a long road trip, I decided to replace the struts, brakes, and transmission oil with new ones for my old car. I quoted at 5 different shops in Greater Lafayette. While I provided my requirements in detail including make, model, and year of my car, and the parts I am looking for, some shops just provide a rough estimate such as replacing brakes is around xxx to xxx without providing more detailed information. However, the quote I got from Automotive Solutions is in a great detail and the price is very competitive. It is about 3/4 of the second most competitive one! Hence, I decided to go for it, and Automotive Solutions finished all of the jobs in one single day, i.e., I dropped off my car at 8am and was able to pick up my car at 6pm. Moreover, Automotive Solutions offer me an additional discount (on top of the competitive price) when checking out since I am a Purdue student. Automotive Solutions really helped me out of a tight situation. I was driving from Virginia to Minnesota (18 hours) when halfway through my trip my power steering in my 2004 GMC Sierra gave out. I could no longer turn into parking spaces or gas stations. I got there very early on a Saturday and explained the situation to them how I was nearly 800 miles from home and needed to get back on the road as soon as possible to get to MN for work on Monday. They were busy but quickly got my truck back and easily determined the issue with the power steering pump needing to be completely replaced. Arlene (I believe this was her name) was very upfront and kept me updated on the fix as I waited, and the price was fair. A few hours later I had a brand new pump and the problem was all fixed. I got to MN with no more issues with the steering! I definitely recommend.

SO, we moved a vehicle for this company from AR to IN, it supposed to be paid cash or check at the delivery point after the BOL is signed, in the mean time the broker switched the contract(payment method) from COD to broker pay, we are still waiting on this payment for almost a month, SO DONT TRUST YOUR CARS AND DONT PICK UP LOADS FROM THEM !

Took my mustang to replace 02senser and rear tire was loosing air and to put on mustang decals. They had the car for 2 days and said they didn;t have time to do the decals, when they said NO PROBLEM before.

Car broke down an hour away from my destination, Jim’s Garage ( amazing tow folks I had a husband & wife in the truck, super friendly and made it stress free) picked me up & took me to the Automotive Solutions and arrived around 3:30, they without me asking asked where I was going on a Saturday and offered to stay after (they close at 4) to get my vehicle fixed so my plans wouldn’t be wrecked. They were fast efficient and super friendly. Great group.

It was simple and easy! They are popular and do good work, but not overly busy. I had them order rear gate hydraulics the other day. I didnt make an appointment. I walked in a little after 3pm today and they were done replacing the lifters before 3:20.

This place is fantastic! They are very welcoming and helpful. Although they may be a little pricey on a few things, the service is definitely worth it! My car needed a new head gasket and they gave me several different options at prices and gave me recommendations on what the best plan of action would be. Would definitely recommend!

These guys are great. First, automotive repair is expensive, so don’t complain about prices. Second, these guys are honest. I have taken 5 vehicles to them over 4 years. Every time, they treat me and my vehicles with respect. I have trusted them with new and old vehicles. They have quoted my $xxx.xx and ended up only charging me half when they realized they didn’t need to charge what they initially said. When they did that, I decided to stick with them. Had my engine stalling while driving on 65 North. Got car to Lafayette and to Automotive Solutions. They immediately took my car in, diagnosed it, and searched for parts. They were unable to fix my car, but printed off my diagnostic code, made notes, and found similar repairs from other shops so I could take it to someone back home. And they charged me nothing!!! So thoughtful and helpful. I dont live in Lafayette anymore, but if I did Id go to them again. Thank you so much!

I recently had to have my car towed there, and I was having a ROUGH day. The people were very friendly and upbeat, which helped settle my nerves a lot. Though I was out of town while they worked on my car, they communicated through the process and gave updates whenever they tested/fixed my ultimate problem. Bonus: they even touched up a slight cosmetic detail inside my car. They were just nice all around, start to finish.

I had a radiator hose fail about a block away from them on a Saturday. Miraculously, they were still open until 4pm, and even more miraculously they were able to order and install the replacement before they closed that day. Jose kept me in the loop on progress, showed me the failed hose, and explained the cause. I was happy to pay the very reasonable bill at the end.

Price was great. I have been bringing my own oil and filter there and changing with $15 for 2 years. They did it good. They told me every time they do the oil change, they will also do simple inspection for fluid leak and brake pads etc. Now 20 days after my last oil change, I hear squeaking noise from wheels. They said brake pad is worn out, and also I need to change the rotor as it is worn too. Isnt it great? Now I need to pay over $100 more for their fault. The only thing I may do with them in the future will be oil change. NOTHING MORE. Maybe less.

They had to work on my car multiple times because the check engine light kept coming on. All I kept getting was we can replace this TO SEE if it will work. I took it somewhere else and they found out that when they put smoke into my engine, it came pouring out of the crankcase! Now, I have a $1300 bill I have to pay when Ive already paid these people over $1000 and they never even checked for this problem! I am so furious!

Hell nah, I came in at 10:30AM on May 15th, 2018 to get one bearing and one tire sensor changed. They told me it would be about a hour and thirty minute job. I decided to stay and just wait out the job. Its 5:00PM, later the same day, and they are still not done. I had already said something to them twice while I was waiting and they just kept making excuses about the maintenance. Ive personally been coming here for almost 5 years, never had I once had this happen to me. I, of course, was very very dissatisfied with my experience there. Im not sure as to why this happened, but if it continues I will have to look for a new mechanic. Very dissatisfing.

Professional but dishonest.I was so regretful about buying a car from one of the Joses friend. Jose did the mech check for the car and told me there was nothing with big wrong. Then later when I was driving the car almost killed me!And what I learned from Jose was that the problem in the breaking system is not consider a big problem!

I have spent $80 for oil and filter to change the oil myself on a deseil engine that takes 9 1/2 quarts of deseil oil. They changed my oil for $60! Cheaper than I could do myself!
