I didnt find enough computer books at hand, otherwise I would have give. It five stars. Lots of kids books and a lot of gift ideas to chose from. Just wish we had more computer 🖥 books 📚 to read to expand knowledge in the computer world 🌎.

Stopped in for some anatomy books for my sons school project and the location was incredible. The sheer selections are well maintained and plenty to choose from. There are even great gift ideas and gadgets throughout the store. Toys for the younger ones in our family too. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. Love this ace!

Its always so clean and nice here. The employers are friendly and helpful and the store is easy to navigate. Love coming back to browse the nerdiest stuff possible.

I was looking for 3 different books on 3 different subjects. Could not find any of them. It is mostly toys for geeks now.

Clean store, helpful staff, quiet and calm atmosphere. The coffee shop is good as well, a little slow but I’ve only ever seen one person working in there at once so that is understandable.

AMAZING selection of books, comics, graphic novels, manga, DVDs, blue ray, action figures, toys, games and lots of nerdy odds and ends! Love this place ..they serve coffee too!

I like Barnes and nobles more but this is a great bookstore just needs to be a little more organized but great staff wide variety of books a little less than Barnes and nobles but overall a good book store

Got to the store at 7:30 for a quick browse of the racks. The store doesn’t close until 8:00. The cashier eyes is as we walk in, no normal ‘welcome to BAM’ stuff. A worker comes over the intercom and announces that they will close in 10 minutes. Not impressive and quite rude. We left. Manga is cheaper on Amazon anyway.

I know things in this world is bad right now!!! But the lady followed me around like I was about to steal a book. I was on the bible row buying a bible for someone. I was shocked..then when she realized what I was buying she tryed to walk away. So I started preaching the word of GOD to here...the bibles I was looking at was to much for my budget but after I finished talking to her she led me straight to a bible that i could afford!!!!! So if I would of got mad cause she was following me around.....she would have never been able to be used by GOD to lead me to the bible I could have afforded....GOD is GREAT!!!!!!!🤴🏿

Store was well stocked and I was able to find what I needed quickly. Kids books in particular were plentiful.

Awesome experience. The employee who I checked out with won me over and convinced me to get a BAM membership card. She wasnt pushy at all. Explained the benefits, and how much I would save. Great job. Definitely will go back.

I forgot my mask and the store is empty, but they still would not let me in without. Well Amazon doesnt make me wear this ridiculous pad on my face, so I guess Im done with BAM. What ever happened to 6 social distancing? The whole store has like 2 people in it. Thankfully Barnes & Noble is down the street and they dont bother with this and I spend cash with them.

They are doing a great job at staying safe during Covid, insisting that all guests mask up!

Went there for last minute abook for school. Was there 30min before closing and I guess it bothered the cashier because we were greeted at the door with we close in 30 minutes -_- . She was kind of rude even though I knew exactly what I needed, just a point in the right direction. Was in there for like 5 minutes before checking out and her disposition of us did not change. Not saying I wont go back if I need but definitely didnt put a good taste in my mouth, might just try out Barnes and Noble next time.

Ive never had a problem at this store before until today. I come shopping for funkos here with my girlfriend and she always has her backpack on her. Today, we got stopped at the entrance and got told backpacks arent allowed in the store, so we walked around for a little bit and noticed multiple people in the store wearing backpacks. How are yall gonna single us out and not tell anybody else anything even though theyre wearing backpacks too? It doesnt make sense to me at all and yall should pay attention to yalls customers more.

Books could really come down on price... especially with the resources that we have at our fingertips!

Demanded I wear a face mask. Did not ask if there was a legitimate reason I was not wearing one. Would not allow me to get the books my sons wanted without a mask.

Food is hot & fresh 100% of the time. The sweet tea superb!!!

They will pressure you into buying their membership and lie about how much it actually costs. It’s a ‘six dollar membership’ and then suddenly your total is 25$ more. Would not recommend coming here.

Great store. Full of books and cute stuff. Very relaxed atmosphere. Cheaper deals than other bookstores around town. Especially if you have a membership ($25/year). Lots of variety in items. Only complaint is that theres not really as much of a selection of books as I would want, but still a great store.

This store has more than books. I went shopping for some different gifts for my grandson. Cute toys, back packs, gifts, and great sales. I really enjoyed shopping here and not having to walk a mile through uneccessary aisles! - smells so good too! (Coffee happiness)

Pretty good. Found the book I was looking for, however there is no organization that I could tell except by genre. Found two copies of the book I needed far apart from each other. Regardless it wasnt too bad. Cant vouch for the coffee shop since I didnt try it. The clerk was very polite. Ill be back until they do me wrong.

Im giving two stars solely for the decent non book merchandise they have. However if you are coming here to look for any book in particular good luck finding it as there is absolutely no organizational system. Dont see how hard it can be to organize by authors last name like every other book store/library like the rest of the modernized world.

Heaven on earth, truly my very favorite place to be

I had the worst customer service rep since I moved to La One person sourer my whole day. Her name Kristina I asked her name because I wanted to make sure I placed the blame on the right person. She was very moody, didn’t smile, very rude and just in general a bad representative of a book store. All other consider the store was clean very well lite. The young black girl was very kind and helpful and the general manager when I called back to complain ask me if anything he could do in fact he was so kind I almost forgot to write in to complain about Kristina.

Books a million has been one of my favorite bookstores throughout the years. The service is always great. The environment is very inviting for book lovers. I always find great deals for me and my children.The website is very accommodating, as well.

Its a nice place with a good enough variety of books, gifts, and geek paraphernalia to overcome its less than ideal location.I mention location as a drawback because, while high profile, it is isolated from all of the other nearby shops by a very large, very busy parking lot. This means that of you didnt leave the house intending to go to Books-A-Million, you probably arent going to go to Books-A-Million. This is shame as business would almost certainly improve were the store more accessible on foot.As I said, the store is nice, although it does lack the atmosphere of Barnes & Noble. Perhaps this is due to the lighting or the half-height bookshelves, but something is just.... different. I have not found the staff to be overly personable, but they seem to be readily available should you have the nerve to interrupt them making their after work plans.This is a nice bookstore to visit although it doesnt really lend itself to popping in for a quick browse.

Miss having this place in our area. We enjoyed hanging out here after church service drinking coffee. Also it was a great place to meet with friends after dinner for coffee, sharing information about books weve read and even catching up with old friends weve havent seen in awhile. Sorry it closed in our area.

Well organized, clean, and stocked. Nice selection of books and various merchandise to choose from. This location has a coffee shop and public restrooms located all the way in its back right hand corner

Ordered a in stock box set item for my daughter’s Christmas gift online and was notified a week later that the item was no longer available and is back ordered. I had to cancel my order because they said it wouldn’t even ship by Christmas and I had order this item back in November exactly one month from Christmas. Worse experience ever and the customer service rep didn’t even seem to care. Never again.

I feel like this Books-A-Million is way better than the Barnes & Noble in downtown Lafayette. They have a better selection of everything, especially the magazines. The only downside I can see is Im not really impressed with the coffee shop inside. Ive only been there once but the coffee was terrible.

Good deals for DVD theyre used but still in good conditions!

Nice place. The store is turning into a pop culture store instead of a book store but they forgot to tell the books. They are cramming vinyls and figures into spaces that would have been for seasonal and special promotions. But they keep them there all year round and they have to try to find space for those seasonal and specialty items. Other than that, the feel of the building is that it is a box/chain store and is quite bland. But at least it is being true to itself. The staff is always very nice and helpful. I would love to see a complete refresh or overhaul to make it look less crammed.

Warning: DO NOT accept the free magazine subscriptions!!!Back in December I was offered free magazine subscriptions and I was specifically told that I would NOT be charged after the three months. However, this weekend my husband and I noticed a $68 charge from Time magazine to our account. When we called to find out why, it turns out we WERE charged after all, even though I was told we wouldnt be. And then to top it off I NEVER provided my card info for the subscriptions, so BAM used my card info from the items I bought and gave it to Time WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. I will personally never shop at BAM again, but if you intend to do so, beware of the free subscriptions and do NOT give them your card.

Visited today for two books. I asked the clerk on duty where could I find them. Her response from behind the counter was first, did I look it up online and second, one of my books was over there (pointing toward the coffee)and my other book might be in the children section. Ok. Now im.at barnes and nobles, because thier customer service rocks!!

Id like to give this place more stars, as it is quite pleasant and the store has many interesting items... the problem is that its nearly impossible to find anything. The method of sorting the books is entirely mysterious. Generally, I will buy three books that I didnt initially intend to pick up, without finding the book I was searching for.Ive asked friends, and so far the opinion has been the same. My guess is that this is intentional. If it was easy to find the book, then the customers would have less exposure to other available offerings.

This was a sterling example of why online shopping will completely replace local business. So very sad and disapointing. The employees were far more interested in their social lives than their customers and had no knowledge of inventory. Unless you have all the time in the world to go through this mixed up mess literature looking for something, and dont mind less than zero assistance, shop elsewhere.
