This place has just increased their prices 250% post Covid. All books are donated and staff is volunteers. No reason other than greed for such an increase. Prices are still reasonable, but I will be going there a lot less and being much more selective. And I wont recommend them as highly.

What a delight! This is the most amazing ongoing book sale to benefit a library Ive ever seen. Many libraries have small areas dedicated to book sales...this is a full-fledged shop.Beautifully organized, well priced, with a wonderful selection that is varied and good quality - the cherry on top is the amazing staff is volunteers. They are friendly and helpful and clearly care about books. No matter what genre you prefer, theyre sure to have a selection.Street parking is easy here. Highly recommended to thrifty bibliphiles.

Fabulous book selection for all ages and nice pricing on donated books. Always have helpful volunteers and do an excellent job placing the books in categories and alphabetically. Also it is a great way of supporting the library.

Our favorite little book store! This store sells donated books for $1-$3 and the proceeds help benefit the Lafayette public library. The women who volunteer there are simply lovely and very helpful. Always enjoy scoring a bargain there.

Tired from our travels we just wanted a place to walk around and stopped here since we are a big fan of buying books. We walked in and thought the place was empty. Eventually we made eye contact with a lady sitting in the sun reading a book who told one of us to leave our backpack by the front door. We politely declined since said bag had a expensive laptop in it, hence why it was not left in the car. Said lady told us to leave it under a desk then. There were no signs posted of this and i doubt theres a written policy. Wonder what the legality of this is? Will they take full responsibility for my property should it be lost, stolen or damaged while in their care? I doubt it. Im pretty sure this falls under the 4th amendment which generally allows people to be free of unreasonable search and seizure of property. But we declined and decided to leave. Which is a shame since we really do love to read books, support local books store and since i was looking for gardening books in general, I was likely to buy something. Its odd especially since this really doesn’t seem to be a bad area to have such a paranoid policy.

Fantastic selection of secondhand books at super reasonable prices. Theyre always having sales, too, but, even without the special sales, the prices are great. Only open until 1 on Saturdays,, but open in the afternoons on other days.
