We found them to be honest, friendly people with customer satisfaction a priority for them. We went Shopping for a guitar for our teenage Grandson. The salesman took his time with us and offered my Grandson the opportunity to play as many guitars as he wished. The salesman told us if we wanted to continue looking elsewhere he was fine with that too. He followed up by saying it was more important for him that my Grandson was satisfied by finding the right guitar for him with the right feel. We found the perfect guitar and to our surprise the salesman asked us to pick out a new set of guitar strings which he used to re-string the guitar that we had selected. The salesman then tuned the guitar. For the new strings and the salesman tuning the guitar there were no additional cost added to the sale. The salesman said that is a service they do for their customers. Thanks for a Great job and helping my Grandson find the perfect guitar that is beautiful in appearance and sound.

I had an big and heavy Adcom amp with one channel out. Ive had it 18 years, and was worried was going to have to replace it. Dropped it off at the store in Lafayette.Problem was bad solder joint on the RCA input jack. CM repaired it within a couple of weeks.Outstanding customer service, friendly staff, professional repair. The store personnel (Sorry I did not take down your names) said did not have a tech in Lafayette, but could get it to New Orleans since the area manager would be in that week and he would transport it.Im (I hate to admit it) old. My expectations were exceeded in every respect. Service like this reminds you of what the internet cant replace. Good people. Thanks C&M!

I had shopped here before for one of my kids who plays guitar. I dropped in to see if an old guitar given to my family worked. The guys here fixed me right up, and helped me out with an amp and gig bag. They were totally helpful and completely fair on price. I would highly recommend this store for anyone in the market for guitar or other musical gear or service.

I understand some other peoples reviews, but I must say my experience couldnt be better. If you talk to the manager, his name is Chris, he will treat you like royalty. He bends over backwards to make sure I have all the information I need and he doesnt hesitate to go the extra mile. Example: I walk in the store - and not only does he greet me - he says oh Im glad youre here - check this guitar out - I thought of you when it came in. sure enough I love it -- two weeks later its in my living room. I like working with these guys and you have to make sure to treat people with respect -- do that and youll get service like this every time. Guaranteed

I live in the state of Washington and I cant overstate the professionalism and service of C&M music. Buying a Martin guitar on-line and over the phone is a stress in itself when you consider sending over a grand on PayPal to a store youve never heard of and for a product you only have pictures of. The manager, Chris alleviated almost all that stress and made the purchase a enjoyable experience. He answered all my questions, made me feel comfortable and the product EXCEEDED the written description!!! Its comforting to know that you can TRUST a stranger who understands what the word service means. I spent over 30 years as a marketing executive and believe me, there are more companies that throw around the word service and dont know the definition of the word or choose to ignore it and just use it as a catch phrase. C&M Music understands, and more importantly backs it up! Chris even offered to throw in a Martin T-shirt (he must have run out of XL), but maybe Ill stop in sometime to pick it up. My husband brought his guitar in to have repaired. He was very satisfied.

Used to love going to this place but they absolutely do not care about customers! My husband and I bought a pedal from here and one of the cables that it came with was bad so we called them and they told us they would replace it in 2 weeks. We have called them multiple times in the past 2 months and they tell us the same thing every time! It’s ridiculous and I will NEVER shop here again!

The expert musicians in the place have seem to forgotten that they work in a retail music store. You can barely get someone to acknowledge you when you walk in the door. And when you do ask a question they are so condescending and arrogant that you would like to leave the store immediately before considering doing bodily harm.Brought my guitar in to see the FENDER LICENSED GUITAR TECH. Well the tech never touched my guitar, barely glanced at it before he decided he could do nothing for me. So it appears this licensed tech can change your strings for you but thats probably about it. I have not walked into that store in over 2 years, and after today i will burn every guitar I own before i make that same mistake again. To the people that work at C&M, you may be better skilled musicians than 90% of the people that walk into your doors but the truth of the matter is your success is no better than any of those customers. WHY? CAUSE YOU WORK IN A MUSIC STORE. Get some professional courtesy and act like your customers are your money and not a pain in the ass.

I Went by the Lafayette store a few Saturdays back around 5:25. I learned that they close at 5:30 on Saturdays. The doors where open so i walked in. They had a guy strumming on a guitar and asked if they could help me. I asked if they had any bass compressors, the guy said yes, i asked what was the price ranges he said he didnt know. I was fixing to ask if they had other parts that i needed and was told there is an guitar center up the road before i could even ask if they had the parts i needed. If you were fixing to close then locked the door. And yes you are right there is an guitar center down the road in which did have the compressor i needed, the parts i needed and a few other things. People are always demanding that we musicians buy local from local owned businesses but after this i will do what i was told, and shop guitar center or buy online. By the way i left a message on facebook with my number and was never called or contacted back, i guess you guys dont need the business.

I bought 2 systems from this company. The first was a Mackie system. Was told by manager that if any thing went wrong they would takr care of me with great customer service, which would include a loaner if my speaker would be sent off for a long time. Well, the sub failed within warranty and it took an act of congress to get it taken care of. I wasnt offered a loaner after asking for one. I had to drive to Baton Rouge to have the amp replaced so I good do a gig the same night. Next, I bought a complete Yorkville system with the same great customer service . Could have bought it online for $400.00 cheaper but wanted to try to keep money local. One sub went out and contacted C & M . Cant get to talk to manager and rest of sales people dont seem to care. I have left messages for manager and have yet to receive return phone call. I had to take care of warranty on my own. So much for customer service. I will NOT be buying any more equipment from C & M Music.
