Bought a Onewheel XR, super painless process. The dude who ran the place was very knowledgeable and helpful about my purchase. Not to mention he threw in a charger port cover for free! 6/5 stars!

Found the place as wanted a Yamaha electric and Kevin took his time to explain everything. He is excellent mechanic as well as I’ve gone over 4,000miles and only thing I’ve done is a tube replacement! Cool shop, cool owner and knows his stuff in terms of electric components in my opinion. Will be back when need tires and brakes.

I ordered a Yamaha E Bike from Kevin recently. There was a little hiccup in the shipping but he was right on top of it and Im stoked with my new bike! Ill definitely be doing business with him again!

This shop is the only shop within 50 miles of me that has a Onewheel+ XR in stock. I called to ask if the guy could hold it for me since i live all the way in San Diego and he gave me an abrupt and snarky NO and laughed a bit like i was joking or something. I mean what shop would turn down selling an item for 2000 bucks? After looking on their web page i see this on the onewheel page they have up Onewheel+ XR is now in stock at Electric Cyclery. Call to reserve yours. Did i not do something correctly? Was i not calling to Reserve a onewheel? Cmon man, get it together and stop being rude to customers. Giving one star just because this guy was pretty rude and just gave me a NO. Im pretty sure its a great shop and a great owner but my experience was not.

Kevin rented us electric bikes to explore the town. He was friendly and went the extra mile to make the experience relaxed and enjoyable. Even has an old pinball machine in his shop that is almost more fun than the bikes!

There was no music in the store and the staff was out to lunch. The bike Iwas ordered was not in yet and I ordered it a year ago. High performance? Yeah when it was lunch time they all left at the same time and said have a nice day.All in all what you would expect from a local store that the locals love. I give it a 10 for service, 10 for interest, and a ten for fasted out the door for lunch. The bike?I dont know my wife took off and havent seen her for a week. Last she was seen was rocketing down PCH at 70mph with parking enforcement in hot pursuit. They had never seen a parked vehicle go so fast. Of course I am kidding. Its a great store, a great staff and the mint juleps are out of this world.

I had a wonderful experience here. I needed to get a bike for commuting and I came here because of the prior reviews. The owner truly loves what does and is immensely knowledgeable. He pointed me in the right direction for my needs, introduced my to magnetic clip helmets, and gave me a discount for the purchase. He is also delivering it!Pretty excited about my new Evo City!

Am in PA. Bought a Bosch ebike 4amp charger online - because these guys had stock (they had the mini 2amp charger also!). Nobody on the east coast either had it, knew when it was coming in... Or had the right plug (?! Eh ? I can get a converter but those guys sounded confused. No buy! ).Spoke to Kevin on the phone a bit - great bike enthusiast - ask him questions!! ordered online - cheaper, better and faster - including shipping - than the east cost guys.

Rented a bike on their website. When I called the owner answered and said he was closed and would refund my account. He yelled and bullied me for wanting to bike ride during the pandemic. The man is certainly out of his mind! Two weeks later he still doesn’t return my money.

Kevin at Electric Cyclery recommended the perfect ebikes for me and my husband, He also assisted us in getting them shipped to Hawaii. The ELBY bikes are the perfect ALOHA BIKE! I will definitely do business again with Kevin and I appreciate his candor and expertise.

They shipped a hard-to-find part for my old, european electric bike up to me in NorCal, and somehow it got lost in transit.I spoke for just a minute or two on the phone with them, and they sent me a replacement immediately!Couldnt be happier with their customer service and thankful they exist as a place to get service parts for my older e-bike!

I recently ordered a Bosch 500 WH Haibike Battery from Kevin Penrose of Electric Cyclery.While no one else in the U.S. had one for sale, Kevin had several (I think he said 6) he just received. I thought fantastic.When I got the battery I inspected the outside case and noticed some strange file marks and it looked like it had been opened. I then decided to weight the battery. The Bosch website lists battery dimensions, weight, etc...The battery Kevin Penrose of Electric Cyclery sent me weighted almost 9 pounds, while the Bosch website lists the 500 WH batterys weight at 5.73 pounds.BEWARE!!! Electric Cyclery might be selling fake Bosch Haibike batteries.I also contacted Bosch.

These days there are electric bike shops sprouting up everywhere but for many years there was only one place. Electric Cyclery. Kevins been in business for a long time and he knows Electric Bikes inside and out.Im a disabled vet and I bought my first EBike from Kevin almost 10 years ago. In that time he was always happy to help if there was any sort of problem or question.When the battery from my first generation BionX finally conked out I checked out all the other ebike shops that had sprung up in that time but when it came time to lay down the cash I ended up back at Electric Cyclery.Theres no junk and no hard sell. Just a dedicated guy selling products he believes in.

After checking out the limited selection of folding bikes at the larger bike stores, we were impressed by the selection at Electric Cyclery. Staff was knowlegable and they had a good cross section of Dahons and Bike Fridays and even some new hard to find performance models. It was useful to be able to test ride a few different bikes before deciding. Parking tip: PCH parking is metered and the local enforcers are over-achievers so park on the side streets for free.

The best in the US. Kevin knows his stuff and is passionate about Ebikes.

Ive purchased a BionX Montague full-size folding Ebike in 2006 and two of the latest E-Motion Neo Ebikes this year, including the lovely Neo 29er. Kevin does a nice job making good on any special requests or mechanical issues you may have. Also, his assistants are just great and have gone above and beyond for me on a few occasions--even with another bike brand! This shop has an above average selection and the location in Laguna Beach is nice. Suggestion: buy the Neo 29er and put a Thudbuster seatpost (Amazon) on it, or one from the shop. Its as comfortable as the full-suspension model and will save you $850--and you get the hill climbing ability of a 29er bike!
