This place has fantastic coffee, and the spicy avocado toast is the bomb! Fabulous breakfast menu! I read some reviews about the service. They were perfectly friendly. Im sure they get some rude tourists at times...all good

Seems like they are short staffed. Ive ordered takeout (coffee and a toast) through their website a few times and my order hasnt been ready on time for any of them! For someone working from home on a 10 minute break, it matters to be able to pick up your order on time to get back to work! Kind of pricey but everything they serve is really good 👍🏼

The Vietnamese coffee is out of this world! I have had a multiple times in the past but this was absolutely phenomenal. Normally its way too sweet but this was outstanding

Coffee is decent, service is horrible! Staff seemed to be bothered by any requests (such as one napkin). Theres no shortage of coffee shops, were never coming back.NOTE TO OWNER: Lack of proper training on good manners and customer service breaks any business! My family owns many coffee shops in a major metro area, it has been my familys business for 4 generations. Theyve been very successful because of superb customer service and attention to detail!

Typically dont leave reviews, but I had to here. 1. Never have I once experienced a friendly happy employee at this location. Everyone always seems to have a chip on their shoulder, why? No clue. If you happen to ask a question they will become more un-friendly with you.2. I ordered a bagel with creme cheese and avocado. Its called the CAB. This cost with tax $9.15. That is insane to me. A regular creme cheese and bagel is $3.75 and avocado and lemon pepper cost $5!?. Definitely a rip off. They dont even have specialty bagels or specialty creme cheeses. Just plain for both and an everything. Cant charge people that much when your items are so basic.

Came for a weekend walk and walked into this coffee shop. Small with limited sittings both inside and out. Friendly customer service, good coffee, and good breakfast. Had their quiche, avocado boat (scoop of tuna in half avocado, spicy Mayo sprout, cracked pepper, and bacon bits) and delicious latte (which I added some cinnamon powder on the top). Free wi-fi available too.

So good, love the iced VFM. Owner said, you might not sleep tonight 😅😅

Cute atmosphere, delicious coffee, and good options for both drinks and foods! We stopped by here before hitting the beach and got two large coffees, but one came back small. They remade it but didnt notice until I flagged someone down and asked. Ill definitely go back if Im in the area though since its delicious!

This location is tucked away on PCH but is such a delight.. The workers are sweet and overall the food and drink quality is high. Coffee isnt my favorite drink but the LVTM is a great choice for people like me!!

I was just looking for a coffee place near the beach with parking. I ended up finding this on google maps as the closest coffee shop near me. The cafe itself is very clean and modern. Lattes are my favorite and I noticed they had one called the Laguna Latte. When I saw them start making the drawing at the top of the latte I became concerned that this place would just end up being a gimmicky coffee shop. I was very wrong. The Laguna Latte is by far the best latte Ive ever had. Its like honeycomb in latte form. Definitely coming back.

Black Dot Coffee is my favorite coffee shop.If you need to REALLY wake up, get the Vietnamese Coffee. Thatll do it .I prefer it iced, but its tasty either way.

Vtm black coffee. They add a touch of syrup so it has a slight sweetness, no creamer needed for me. Definitely will wake you up, highly caffeinated!

I love the location of this place. It is away from the busy part of Laguna Beach. Sometimes during the day parking might be a problem. The staff is always smiling and service is pretty fast. They have a small selection of fresh pastries. I tried croissants several times and they taste fresh and not too buttery.

Love the coffee and generally the people. However, they have decided that masks are not required, despite the regulation in Laguna requiring masks be worn in retail establishments. Went in Saturday and found many customers there without masks. Asked the staff and they told me they no longer required masks no matter what Laguna said. I turned to speak with a customer without a mask, asking why no mask, and was told by the staff to stop hassling the customers. Was then called an a-hole by one of the male customers....Anyway what happened next is another story. But no more Black Dot for me.

The ladies that work here are very pleasant and helpful have great attitudes and sense of humor

Blk door is a sweet spot. Neighborhood cafe with excellent Vietnamese coffee prepared as your favorite espresso drink - my flat white was superb. I didnt try their pastries, but the various breakfasts on farmer toast are delicious and ample.My go-to place in Laguna Beach.

Its great if they ever have anything in stock. I called today, instead of the 5 pervious times I went physically to get a bagel, they have fantastic breakfast options, but they are always out of stock, so today was the 6 time in a row they were completely out of bagels. How can you have a store that is always out of things.

This is by far the best coffee in laguna beach!! the light vietnamese is amazing both hot and iced, with just the right amount of coffee flavor and sweetness. you can taste the quality. please dont wait to try it like i did! get some amazing coffee in their cute shop and youll be so happy you did

What a great little coffee shop with friendly employees and a great selection of Coffees and Teas. I didnt have any food here but they have a great healthy selection of various toasts, sandwiches, and some pastries. Also a few grab and go items on the side. Not a lot of sitting space but I was able to claim a table and set up my workspace and hung out here for about 2 hours. Will come here again if Im in the area and need a spot to set up shop

Feels like a locals spot with authentic Vietnamese coffee and home baked pastriesMust try - BLK Dot Ice Coffee (speciality Vietnamese coffee - just imagine harnessing the power of 5 energy drinks combined with the deliciousness of melted coffee ice cream). Secret - Order the large and take it home to save and enjoy over a period of a few days (it refrigerates well).The prices some some of the speciality drinks and pastries a little high (hence the 4 stars compared to 5). Nevertheless, this place is definitely worth visiting and adding to your radar!
