Kids meal was generous with two hot dogs. Omelet was good but not fluffy. Home fries are ok. Nice to be able to get breakfast for dinner. Cant sub a pancake for today. Im told the turkey dinner was very good and the stuffing was excellent but I didnt have it. Nice waiter, efficient.
Went here this morning for our wedding Anniversary and had an excellent breakfast, huge portions. Ricardo was awesome, he came back several times to ask how our breakfast was and kept our coffee cups full. The place is absolutely spotless. Thank you for a memorable start to our special day. Will certainly be returning for breakfast, lunch or dinner soon.
Stopped for late night snack on way back from the city. Always a great stop. Walked in 20 minutes before closing and was greeted with smiles and friendly service.
I eat at many diners. Its no secret that the best diners are all on Long Island. In my opinion, The Lake Grove Diner is the very best of them. Its the most consistently good, and everything they make is amazing. The management have been the same staff for over 20 years that Ive been eating here, and the wait staff are exceptionally pro and friendly, and I never see the kitchen staff but I do know that this place is exceptionally clean and healthy.
Great food! Very clean, professional and absolutely top of line servers, staff and management! Check out the salads! These alone are magnificent but the menu is huge, options for anyone, anytime of day, including Gluten free. Comfortable bright atmosphere. My favorite Diner on Long Island!
Best diner on Long Island! Never a disappointment no matter what I order. Order the sweet potato fries, and for dessert splurge with an amazing Almond chocolate crescent cookie.
Went there for breakfast & met up with a couple more patrons. Was courteously met & seated. Water was brought immediately without asking.Never rushed. Drink orders were immediately taken & was asked if we wanted to order. We answered a few more minutes & waitress came back happily later . We ordered (specific diets) & all food was served hot & correctly.Bill was left on table with a no rush comment from our waitress.We left about a half hour later & 2x during that time we were asked if wed like anything to drink even tho we were already t presented with the bill.
Good food.Very good service.Plenty of parking.All of the basics are well covered.Truly better than most other diners...definitely a step above.Prices reasonable for what you are getting.We are not regulars there because we live far away...but in any case...we will gladly go back.
Got the French Toast, enjoyed it. Big portion. Parents got a club - absolutely huge. Menu is impressive - has just about everything you can want.
Was ok for a dinner. Big side salad. Bread basket not really a bread basket. Prices were decent but food could be better.
Very clean and quiet... service was courteous and accurate. The menu is jaw dropping...and my order was perfect. Coleslaw was delicious as well as the pickle.

Food was very good. Got everything the way we ordered. HUGE portions. Good service. Clean throughout the building. We were there for a late lunch (1:40ish) and it was still pretty full. Got out in plenty of time to see our movie.

During Covid we got takeout from there and it was great. Now vaccinated we eat inside and it was great. Amazingly friendly staff, great portions and well priced. Its our new diner of choice now, and we dont live nearby.
The menu, atmosphere, look etc remind me of what a NYC dinner should be. The food was cooked to order and perfect. The staff were friendly and attentive. The menu had everything you could ask for as long as you arent asking for current faddish type foods.Loved it and when back in that area going back.

The food was really good, and they are good with allergies, unlike a lot of other diners. It isnt too expensive, and it is across the street from a shopping area, so you could spend an entire day in the area, and still have stuff to do, or stores to go in.

This was my first time coming here it was your typical diner breakfast however not as greasy which is definitely a good thing the service was good. My only complaint was that I had my four old with me and there was no booster seat offered maybe there weren’t any available.
Usually everything is fine. Tonight, I got water with ice when I requested, no ice. The appetizer platter had wings when we asked to substitute more mozzarella sticks for wings. Instead we got the wings & no clams, & not sure if there were extra mozzarella sticks or not. Nothing terrible, just poor listening/attention, I guess,, by the cook, etc. We were given clams soon after. Would eat there again.

The food was underwhelming, management was very stressed and unwelcoming—they mistook us for customers from yesterday. We ordered piña coladas from the BOGO happy hour menu, and they told us that wasnt included in happy hour, even though it was advertised (see below).We brought our two small dogs with us. One of the waitresses brought them water without us asking. This was really kind. As she was placing them down, the manager snatched them out of her hands aggressively and dumped them empty on the patio. Unprofessional and unnecessary.Then, we found a maggot in the broccoli. We pointed it out to the manager and he did not try to repair the situation. As we were leaving the manager apologized about the dog incident, saying that dogs are not allowed by the state. That isnt true. Dogs are allowed on Long Island in outdoor-setting eating areas. We were shocked that he came to apologize about the dogs, and not the maggot.I would give 1-star, but the wait staff is the restaurants saving grace. The waitresses were very personable and friendly, though they could have checked on us more.
What ever you do, dont take those little round treats in the bowl when you leave. There like so encredibly old and stale. The parking is like full of them.from ppl throwing them out as they leave .

This menu is so huge as is typical of places like this ... theres something wrong with you if you cant find something you like. Portions are generous, service is Swift and friendly . However the prices are definitely New York prices. Pictured here is a Chicken Caesar Salad, and the Moussaka. A little heavy on the eggplant, and the sauce was a bit bland, but overall pretty good. The chicken caesar salad had more than an entire chicken breast sliced up on top.

Excellent food! Have ordered takeout 3 times now. From their salads to steak and burgers. They do not disappoint! Food is ready quickly and always hot when delivered. One of our favorite diners and will continue to order on a regular basis. Once the crazy ends will look to dine on location.Highly recommend! Bad service. We were literally the only table in the restaurant and had to go looking for the waitress because the order was incorrect on top of being rushed for our order.
Service was great and they were quick in the preparation of the various orders. Portions were generous and tasty. They were very covid conscious and sanitized each table chairs and booths after each use. Despite all the draconian measures they had to implement they remained extremely friendly and helpful. Looking forward to our next visit.

Very good place for weekend breakfast with friends & family. We ordered waffles & mushroom omelette, both were excellent. Actually waffle was the best I have had in 20 years. Simply awesome. Coffee & tea was served hot. Food came pretty quickly & the servers were very curtious & really friendly. Dinner was very clean & had good ambience. Will definitely come again.

Horrible food. Everything on the plate was cold and looked like leftover food. Diner fries are expected to be hot and fresh, not cold and squishy. It makes me think they just gave us old, cold fries. Also ordered a slice of cheesecake and it tasted like foam, which also makes me think it was old. Would never come here again.

So nice to have a clean safe and comfortable place to have a bite out of the house during this time of CoVid.The staff was quick, informative and efficient ..The food was hot, tasty and out in a flash ..It was a bit slower when we stopped in, and we felt very comfortable relaxing for a few extra minutes .. it gave me time to look around and see some of the extra precautions they are taking to keep us all safe ..Go there in comfort and enjoy all your options.

It was pretty good, the service excellent, but the food tasted like a greasy spoon?And then we had mixed drinks 😂, my brother had a margarita, they served it without ice! And I had a long island ice tea... Which was so strong that I could barely drink it.So... If you dont mind the food tasting 😜, and getting very buzzed... Its the place to go!
