Owner and staff have always been friendly and helpful. I run a business and stop in frequently. I was just checking their hours and saw the low ratings. Im shocked by all the people expecting free labels, tape, and other things... they should realize these all add up for a business owner. Youre not dealing with the corporate giant (UPS), youre dealing with a small town small business owner (store owner) who has to absorb those costs. If you can print at home, or go Office Depot to get your own supplies, then dont be mad when you get charged $3 for a service. Anyway, great service, nice workers, and convenient location!
I travel and use UPS Store’s extensively. Today 6/25/2021 this store proved how bad it has gotten within this brand/chain in Texas. There’s a NEW manager and several new employees. There was only one employee able to help the long line of customers. The other employee was at the other computer assigned to assist cable/modem returns; which always goes slow. There were two additional employees standing, and talking about cookies. I’ll take the levity in stressful situations anytime. Anyways I asked for the new manager since everyone is new, like the manger herself, she acquiesced to allowing what has been accepted when things are insanely busy at this store. Then she added a retort saying they are doing things by the book. Who’s book are you talking about? I came in with my key to the mailbox I have paid a year in advance for. This is news to me. If your going to implement change, introduce it when hours are back to normal. And you have more computers than two available to assist all customers. I came in to pick up packages and I signed the printed forms found in my mailbox. I do sign for them digitally when this store has a computer available for digital signatures in addition to the paper receipts found in my secure mailbox. Other stores do not require a digital signature and just use the paper print out found in the mailboxes. It’s safe and secure. I get my packages and the store has a physical paper with customer signature for their records. I didn’t need the passive aggressiveness. Definitely a spirit over this UPS Store based on previous reviews. As I left the person returning cable/modems was still there. I was there for a little over 10 minutes just to pick up packages, key in hand to open my safe and secure mailbox.
The worst (and most extortionate) UPS store Ive ever been to. I wasnt able to print my label at home for an urgent (2 Day Air) package so I called them before heading over and they said they could do it there no problem. Once I got there they printed it and then charged me $3.25. First off thats an absurd fee for literally one sheet of paper and a plastic sleeve. Second, it would have been nice to know this before they printed it (like maybe even over the phone when I called them and asked about the service) so I could go to the Office Depot down the street and print the exact same label for 25 cents (a reasonable price for the single sheet of paper used) and then use a FREE UPS label sleeve that the stores usually provide. I did unfortunately end up paying since I had no other choice at that point, but this sort of behavior is very upsetting. This is blatant price gouging and extortion. 0/10, would not go here again. I would literally go anywhere else if possible. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Great costumer service! We drove all the way to lake Jackson since we had a horrible experience at the pearland location, the staff here where very friendly and helpful, the manager came out and said she would assemble a box to fit our huge package using two boxes since they don’t have boxes the size of our package. they looked to be pretty busy and they still took their time to help us with the package we had which was huge and heavy and fragile, thank you!
Not for sure what happened to the crew they had before but they were the best..Crew they have now are lost went to pick-up mail and two packages from Amazon. When I got home I opened my packages and found the item I had them return to Amazon over a week ago was never returned they gave me the package back. LOL..OMG! hours have changed 10am to 4pm and no longer open on weekends..UGH now have to wait until Monday..
The worst customer service experience in all my life. They make a major mistake and will not fix!
Honestly love the store, everyone who works there are complete sweethearts .
Does not provide tape to even seal up the top of you box. Also will not print labels or anything for you. 3 dollars for 15 minutes of computer time and 25 cents to print a label. I have NEVER been to a UPS store like this. The lady behind the counter acted like I was inconveniencing her by asking questions. I will happily drive to a different store to not deal with this store. Read the reviews they aren’t lying. UPS should really come out here and do something about this franchise location, they won’t but they should.
Bad customer service. AC is out at this location and employees arent happy about it. I called to see what the hours are because last time I came, they were closed early. When I asked when hours would be back to normal, the lady sarcastically said, when the AC is fixed, thanks for calling, then hung up on me.
My son has been trying to send a package for three days, and this store is never opened. They are supposed to close at 6:00 today, and he went at 4:15 and they were closed again.
I have to say every time that I have came in here and the lady is at the counter she has either been rude to me or rude to others. I will gladly drive to Angleton before coming in here and having to witness the hatred towards other people. I also see by other reviews I am not the only one thinking this.
Everytime I have been to this location the manager is always rude. The last time I went there the customer service from the manager was so bad that I just gave up on this location all together. The other employees are usually pleasant and greet you when you walk in.
I had to ship out a package and needed a return label included with it per the very specific instructions of the agency I was supposed to send it to. I mentioned twice to the cashier that I needed to have a return label included and even showed her in writing. She seemed irritated and unwelcoming with my questions but I wanted to get it shipped correctly the first time so I had to ask. I made sure with the representative named Allison if the label was in there. She said it was. This was the first time I had to send something via UPS like this so I trusted her since she obviously does this more than me.Lo and behold, I get an email from the agency I sent my package to saying in bold, underlined, italicized, and highlighted text that they received it without a return shipping label and to do this right this time.Someone said theyre rude but get the job done. Nope, not in my case. They didnt get the job done. I wouldnt have cared about her attitude if she would have done the job right.
Thanks for nothing! Appreciate the helpful service at a time like this. Welcome to Lake Jackson, I guess! Everybody is just out for themselves these days. These people probably wouldnt piss on ya if you were on fire.
The store sealed my package in front of me, then when the package arrived at the destination it was empty. The manager would only say “this store is not responsible for anything you will have to contact UPS.”Will never do business with this store again.
The staff are friendly and welcoming. The store is always clean and organized as well. They happily accept pre-paid UPS packages (Amazon returns for example) and provide drop off receipts. They also provide packing services for a fee and also have a full range of packing materials for sale if you wish to do it yourself.During the busy holiday season lines were common but they handled customers quickly which meant only a little time was spent standing in them. They may have a corporate store name but they operate like a local business when it comes to working with the community.
The manager Nanci was very rude today. I asked a couple of questions because, I didn’t understand the process. I guess that made her mad. When I called her out on her rudeness she just stared at me very meanly. I left and took my business to the post office. I won’t go back unless I absolutely have to.
I just went in to pick up a package( a pair of jeans) and one of the staff member (Nanci) who is apparently the manager, which makes it even worse, was SO RUDE. We opened a box here 3 weeks ago with mine and my in-laws names. Ive been in several times to pick up a package and it’s never been a problem. Nanci made it so hard for me to pick up my package and lied directly to my face saying my name wasn’t on the ‘list’ after I had already shown her my drivers license which matched the name on my package!! She was stubborn, unprofessional, and unnecessary. I apologize to anyone who had to deal with this lady.
Unacceptable business hours
Customer service sucks. Guy talked to me so ugly to me. Unless you just have to, don’t go there.
I was very impressed, especially after reading a few of the bad reviews. I was greeted with friendliness. My questions were answered & my business there taken care of swiftly.
I have had Fed Ex beat there shipping price every time. These stores are individual franchises. The store owner has negotiated prices with UPS and they set their mark up on the shipping price you pay. They are nice and friendly and they are the only game in town as far as I know if you want a store to turn key package and ship something. If you dont mind the extra stop I usually pay them to package it and then take it over to Fed Ex to ship it.
I ship items for a living with UPS and have had experiences all over the country with different UPS Stores. My experience at the Lake Jackson store has to be the WORST I have ever experienced. The employees are outright rude. Today, I made a simple request for them to add a sign to the door that does not open. It can be difficult for customers carrying packages to open doors and when the door you pull on is locked, it make it more difficult. The response of the store employee was to give me a dirty look, drop my receipt on the counter and walked away. She didnt even respond or acknowledge my suggestion.Rude does not begin to explain these employees; its to the point Id rather drive to Houston than deal with this store ever again.
I had an amazing experience with Misty, Stefani, Keenan. They helped me repack my box and sanity. WITHOUT these wonderful people i would had a hell of a time!
Literally the worst ups store ever bad management bad customer service I have never left a review anywhere for fear of being a Karen but this place was bad
This ups in lake Jackson, has the very bad Costumer service. No greetings, no nothing. Ups should do something, it’s the brand name you guys are spoiling. Being nice to people doesn’t cost you any money. Have a good day.
Went in today to return my satellite equipment. The lady behind the counter was so rude. I needed a strip of tape to seal the box & she told me I would have to buy a roll. Isnt it a shipping location? Dont ever go there if you want good service. They suck at it!!
One star only because it won’t let me write a review with no stars!!!!The sign on the door says all packages must be opened and inspected before shipping but then they won’t tape it back for you. They require you to buy a roll of tape from them.I need about 4” of tape to secure my package.I will never return to this location.
I had the same experience as others. They refused to put a 2 cent piece of tape on a box. I thought they were kidding at first. Really? Is the 2 cents youre saving worth the money youre losing from customers who will NEVER again visit your business??
Dont go here for notary service. I went to get a copy of my diploma and my TEFL notarized, and the lady on desk refused because theres no place designated to notarize it. Of course there isnt. They dont give out diplomas with little notarize here signs.Id already had my diploma notarized and apostilled in Austin, I just had to do it again because I needed a color copy for my Chinese work visa application. So I showed her that as an example. She said, they shouldnt have done that, its against the handbook. I feel like the Secretary of States office knew what they were doing when they accepted and apostilled it, but sure, you know better. When I insisted on talking to the notary, she suddenly realized oh, the notary had just gone out for a while. I took my color copy and left.
Called 8 times today and no answer.
Not even 1 star would I give them. They lost my package, I feel very certain it is still sitting at the store and now they wont answer the phone. Not good at all.
The two employees I dealt with couldnt have been nicer or more helpful! They exemplified customer service today. Thank you!
They make the experience quick and easy for you. So friendly they will talk with you and build a relationship instead of you being another receipt.
Now (04/07/17) the manager closes the account at 5:45 PM so she cannot take anymore packages even though the truck doesnt leave until 6:15. Understand she needs to leave early to start her weekend, but the store hours should be reposted. Expect random store closures (e.g. 03/18/17).
The staff here were fantastic and helped us package and ship highly fragile items across the country at a fair price and promptly... would come back here any time to use their service!
Horribly rude the whole staff .....the lady would yell at people
I was greeted by an older lady that seemed friendly but the girl at the counter needs customer service training. She was very rude .
Why do they exist if they can’t return a package to the sender? Might as well close. I had to drive 20 minutes to Angleton!
Horrible service woman was agitaded when i asked her questions.Told me to go somewhere else .would not recommend to go here.
Today i went in there for rhe first time, and is was a bad experience, one of the ladies had a very bad attitude, she was mad she talk to people very rude. And she was talking to costumes about anothers costumers. I dont know was is her problem but if she dont like her job what is she going there, because she is getting paid i dont think she is doing it for free.
They are the rudest people I have ever dealt with!!! They yelled at me and other customers in line!
Very bad customer service will charge for computer even if you only take three minutes. Cashiers are rude.
Decent UPS. The staff is rude, but they get the job done.
The worker would not tape up an 11 inch envelope for me, saying that the drop off must be taped up and ready to go. What a service!
The women working there today had no knowledge of how to pull up their phone claim shipment details and came off as extremely racist with their comments and I became uncomfortable and left
These folks are AWESOME!
Always friendly and helpful
They will lie to you on price and charge you something else when you show up
I have a P.O box there, very friendly staff.
Terrible customer service!
In this location you are not a number but a person
Get it together UPS
Awesome staff!
