Im so thankful they had the part I needed to fix our refrigerator in stock so I didnt have to wait for shipping. Fridge broke and running again in 2 hours. Its worth the little extra money buying local and getting it quickly.

This is a great local resource for DYIer! So my AC went out during the holiday weekend... And not only were they open when everyone else was closed... They had all the parts I needed, or at least I thought I needed, in stock! Turns out the motor I thought I needed... they recommended that perhaps I didnt need it... and to only replace the capacitor. They could have easily sold me a part I didnt need for over $160! Instead I was only out $60! Great guys! Great service, great advice!

This guy charged me double for an igniter than a different vender had less than an hour earlier. Was desperate for a cooling fan for my Jenn Air refrigerator. discovered it wasnt working late afternoon and called Electric Appliance Parts as soon as I could. The South Cedar store was open but it was 4:42 pm... They had the part.. I was on the Northwest side of the city and told the employee I would try to make it before closing. Got on the highway and cruised to the southeast side of the city. At 5:01 called the store and the employee answered. Told him I was at the stoplight on Penn near Cedar. He said he would wait and he did. Put in the fan motor and the refridge is back on line. Couldnt have done it with out the service provided above and beyond... Thank you fall for your help!

Huge thanks to the crew at Electric Appliance Parts! On one of the hottest days of the year our Central Air system went down. A quick call to the after hours number and they opened the store on Sunday to save us from the heat. What a relief to have a company care enough for their customers to go the extra mile to support their needs. Both of their locations (Lansing & Pontiac) are great to deal with, they seem to carry a great assortment of parts and all of the staff are very knowledgeable!

It was a Friday night when my central AC stopped working and I needed a condenser fan capacitor, called electric appliance parts they were open in Saturday until 12:30 and he said that he had what I needed, I told him that I would be there in 30 minutes when I got there he was helping another customer, showing him how to connect what he was buying. And when it best my turn he had the part laying in the counter for me. You dont find this kind of personal service any longer.If you need a appliance parts call electric appliance parts first, you wont be disappointed.

The guys were so very honest, my dryer quit working and I thought it was the motor. The guys talked me into testing some other parts and told me that if I did not know how to test them that they would test any part I brought in for free. It turned out to be a thermal fuse 20.00 part and not a 140.00 motor. The guys could have just sold me the motor I wanted, but due to the honesty they saved me a lot of money. My stove igniter went out 5 days ago. Called this place they had one. Called today and said I would be there by 5 pm. I got there at 5:03, due to traffic. The door was locked and the employees just looked at me when I showed them the part I need. They shrugged their shoulders and ignored me. So I guess Ill take my money elsewhere. Wont be getting my business ever again.

The guy who helped me was awesome. He helped me figure out what I needed to do even though it meant buying a new washing machine from someone else instead of parts I didnt need through him. I will be buying all of my appliance parts here from now on.

These guys know what they are doing and they are honest. They wont sell you a part that you dont need. They helped me diagnose my washer earlier in the year and they just helped me figure out what was wrong with my dryer. Instead of paying a repair guy big bucks to come and look at my dryer, I fixed for 37$ and an hour of my time!You can trust their integrity and their knowledge of appliances. I call them first when I have a washer or dryer problem. They are helpful, kind, and patient. I highly recommend them!

I needed a dryer part on christmas eve and got to their door 20 minutes after their holiday hours closing time. The guy inside saw me, let inside, and sold me the part I needed. Great customer service!

Well my AC Unit stopped working on thursday and i absolutely refused to pay a HVAC guy 150 dollars just to come out and tell me whats wrong, around 600 for a motor (which i found online for ~150, but wasnt 100% sure it was correct) and that wasnt even including labor or other parts!So i did a little research and found out what i thought i may need. I called around a few places and the first 2 people i called were wholesale only, but both referred me to Electric Appliance Parts.I called and spoke to Jim. I told him i had no idea what i was doing but i had been researching it for a few days and was ready to give it a shot. I explained that i thought my capacitors were bad and he asked me to bring them in. I also explained what my fan was doing, and he confirmed what i thought, that i needed a motor as well. He tested my capacitors, both bad, and I bought what i needed ($220 for a motor and capacitors), headed home and got to work. I took pictures prior to taking everything apart, but i wasnt 100% sure about a few things. I called Jim to ask him for advice. 3 times in a 4 hour span! (poor guy) But he was SOOO helpful. Obviously he told me that what i was doing was at my own risk, but his advice worked! He saved me hundreds, or thousands of dollars! I cant thank him enough. I will be shopping here for any appliance part i ever need. Great customer service! 10 out of 10!

In a time of need and trying to resolve an issue during the cold weather, they are willing to sell everything at a jacked up rate. Suggest extra things it might be, but when the problem is resolved they refuse to return the over priced components they suggested to by just in case. very poor service and business model.

I had searched the big-box stores for the exact furnace filter I needed, but had no success. When I got to Electric Appliance, they not only had the filter I needed, but they installed it in the complicated plastic sleeve it needed to fit in! I had expected to pay twice the amount they charged for the filter so that was a nice surprise, too. Oh, and they did not charge to install it for me...they were just nice, knowledgeable guys enjoying their work! Thanks! Ill be back for any future needs. JC

Always able to help. Advise of other things to look for to solve problems. I thought thermostat ($290.00) they recommended checking heat coil. Found broken wire(no charge). They had in stock a switch for a GE range Ronald Regan sold to the previous owner of our cottage. Thanks Craig.

These guys are great. They were extremely helpful when I came into the store, ensured I got all the parts I needed, instructed me on how to install, and even helped out when I called back asking further questions on how to install parts for my dryer.

I had trouble with my Whirlpool refrigerator, so I went into the Lansing store and described what it was doing. Jim was behind the counter that day and he asked me a series of questions and concluded it needed a temperature control sensor. They had one in stock and even talked with me about how to install it. I installed it myself and the refrigerator started running again like it should!I would recommend this business to anyone needing parts. They may carry everything you need to make repairs, but the older gentleman could have cared less about helping me get what I needed to help my client who is widowed with a handicap child. I had to keep pushing then found the part on the internet with a part number. Reluctantly he found the part.

The guys at electric appliance parts really care about there customers. I have a gas oven that would not heat up. I went to them to buy a new igniter. They tested the old one for me first to determine that i needed one. they also helped me trouble shoot my problem after it tested good all at no charge. These guys really cared in fact when i had to run back there I arrived after they had locked up for the day. They were kind enough to let me in after close and get me the part i needed so i could finish. You cant find service like that to often. I was very impressed with electric appliance parts. Not to mention they were the only place in town to get the igniter i needed.

Conveniently located just a stones throw away from Auburn Hills, Clarkston, or Waterford, it’s my “go to” place for heating and cooling and appliance parts.I’ve saved a thousand dollars easily over the course of a few years by doing my own repairs. The staff is very knowledgeable and are more than happy to assist you, and help you diagnosis your problem, so that your appliance back in working order in almost no time at all. They’re like heating and cooling, and appliance technicians all rolled in to one; they want you to succeed.I thought my igniter was bad on my Maytag Neptune dryer, they checked it, and informed me that I needed to change my coil packs. Two sheet metal screws and two plastic clips later, and now my dryer’s working like new again. The coil packs were only 38.00 $, and I didn’t have having to wait around for a repair technician. Who has time for that? Plus you get the satisfaction and sense of accomplishment by doing your own repairs.Amazingly, they always have the correct part, in stock; they’re first rate and professional, I highly recommend them. The next time one of your appliances starts “acting up” call them first, and start saving money!

Exceptional service ! Got home from work to find my furnace wasnt working. Its January and the outside temp was about 10 degrees and inside the house it was 55 and dropping fast. I did some checking and quickly realized my furnace igniter was the problem. I found Electric Appliance Parts of Lansing on Google but it was around 6pm and they were closed. I called the emergency line and the owner said he was almost home, but he would turn around and come back to open up the store for me. It was a terrible night with awful driving conditions but he said no problem. There was a $40 extra charge but i was happy to pay it --- very fair, and way better than freezing all night . Got home and plugged in the igniter and heat is back on !!! I cant thank these guys enough. Incredible service !

Bought a drain motor for my washer put it in washer still didn’t drain had to call a repairman come to find out the part was bad so on top of paying a repairman they wouldn’t give me my money back for the faulty part even with the receipt and the invoice from the repairman not good business practice wouldn’t go here ever again
