Great coffee to go. Cafe Miel was superb. The indoor seating could have been better, but it suited my needs.
Really good basic coffee drinks, but the flavored ones taste odd. I think they’re using oils and it just ends up tasting like soap a lot of the time. If you stick to the normal drinks it’s really nice.
Blue owl never disappoints with any of their specialty coffees. They have a variety of interesting flavor combos that always land perfectly on your pallet. They dont just try to throw flavored sugar at you to make you think it tastes great (like most of those other places...). They go the extra step to really balance interesting flavors with some complex ingredients. This is where I go when I want a special treat for sure.
If you want an amazing chai latte look no further. Always a good spot to come for all your caffeine needs.
Good coffee but food is not fresh, I ordered a breakfast sandwich and while the outside was hot the sausage and egg was still partially frozen. Cappuccino was on point though.
Good iced coffee! Good service. Recommend adding an outdoor water bowl for the dog walkers.
If I could give 100 stars I would, Literally the cutest little coffee shop I’ve ever been to. The employees are very welcoming, and the environment has the perfect aesthetic. You can’t beat their prices! And their cups are so cute ☺️ thank you blue owl coffee shop for an amazing experience. I will be back again!
A really chill spot to hang out. Their shakerato is a great caffeinated cool drink for a hot day (espresso shot with cream and ice).
I’ve never gotten a bad cup of coffee here 💙
I go to Blue Owl to work because I work remotely and it makes my day so much better :) Good coffee and cool baristas!! Lots of windows to sit by and plenty of outlets
This two-person group had a fantastic time.
A nice calm place to work. The coffee is fairly average. Destroys Starbucks and beats Biggby, but not too far ahead.
First time visiting, I really like the atmosphere and very cool coffee shop in the Lansing area. Decided swing by to grab good coffee before go to work in the morning. Baristas are smiling and make you feels welcome. I chose brown sugar flavor latte and OMG that was most delicious latte ever I have but there are more flavors to try next time I come back. Definitely coming back.
Based on staff recommendation, I have been loving a lavender mocha lately...yummy! Staff are always helpful for first timers. I just love their cups :)
Cute little hole in the wall coffee shop. The coffee is amazing too
Loved this place! Nice atmosphere, great service, and the coffee was delicious.
It is a really good place. The interior really matches that of the Reo Town; quaint, eccentric and pretty. They have more than just normal coffees. We had their Olblue and Copanna. Olblue was something really different. It was coffee with orange. Kind of like blue moon but with coffee. Something worth trying once. Their Copanna was amazing. I definitely would go their to have it again. The only reason i gave them 4 stars and not 5 is because I think they can really spend on some better furniture.
Shout out to great coffee and even better customer service! Corbin was super helpful with a recent large take out order for my office. He made sure everything was ready for pick up on time and I can tell he cares about the customers of Blue Owl in Reo Town. Thank you very much!
Their lattes are really good! Something about their flavors taste more natural
The coffee alone deserves full stars. But the guy who “manages the store” (even though I didn’t ask for that info) is oddly combative and condescending. So, three stars. Everyone else I’ve met there is awesome though, so I might keep going. Because it’s only that one guy who makes me uncomfortable.
This quickly became my favorite coffee spot in Lansing. Creative drinks, awesome employees, and a welcoming atmosphere lead to one hella cuppa joe.
I had their cortado and their non alcoholic espresso shot- the cortado was pretty good, but the shot (I got the Dubliner- which is cream, espresso, and spice). The drink was way too spicy for me- it’s a hit or miss when cinnamon is involved in drinks. They also had some baked goods- got the peanut butter cookie. It’s a big cookie for one person, but tasted good.
Super delicious coffee and wonderful suggestion from the staff! Def check this place out!! Always great drinks
Double shot espresso. The best this side of Miami..
Great little coffee shop, no food, great place to rip out a few emails or study. Good atmosphere.
Good coffee and cordial staff
This is a good spot for remote work. Its a neighborhood place, not a library, but I find its easy to be productive. The coffee, service, and music selection are consistently excellent.
If u feel like having a social coffee...
Friendly staff! Great pour over. Actually found a 16oz pour over.Try Saddleback BBQ right next door!
Blue Owl has such a cool and unique vibe. The aesthetic is very cool-casual but with a focus on supporting local art. They do open mics and host artists in their local spaces, all while providing excellent coffee.Im preferential to the iced mocha, but they have an extensive mocktail coffee menu that has literally something for everyone.Theyre a community-focused business with a great atmosphere and delicious coffee.
It was great! Yummy vanilla latte with my friend Susan 😊
Its just too expensive for my taste and the taste isnt that good. Great atmosphere though.
Love this place. My favorite is the American Beauty with rose petals on top. :)
I dont usually go to these small coffee shops. They are always too intimidating for me. I never know what to order. The owner of the Robin Theatre, Dylan, told me the places was good so I thought I would check it out.I order a hot cocoa... and it was the best I ever had. It was sooo good, I had to go back twice in one week. One of the times I took my wife because I wanted her to taste the goodness of Blue Owl. She ordered the holiday latte (or something like that) and she said it was one of the best things she had. She just hated that it had to end. This shop has great coffee and is a nice addition to REO town.
Great local coffee place, really cool vibe and most importantly, great coffee. Their cold brew is very well done and the coffee cocktails are work a stop in.
My favorite coffee shop in the Lansing area. I visit at least once a week and have always had a great experience. The employees are super friendly and you can tell that they take pride in what they do. A great place to study or meet up with a friend. I highly recommend it!
I love this place. The have the most original recipes in town and Ive never tasted one I didnt completely love. The atmosphere is friendly and open and inviting. You can see people working on school projects or writing a book, or theres a large table in the back if you want to hold a small meeting. The staff is awesome and seem like theyre truly glad to be there. I get coffee here anytime Im in Reo town. Its an awesome place I just wish there was more locations in town.
The barista was friendly, the shop has a nice vibe, social distancing measures in place, and the cold brew was decent.
Very nice place. Require masks to keep employees safe. Had a delicious breakfast sandwich and a cup of coffee.
Great cold brew
Great experience, helpful staff, cool decor, a great place to grab a well crafted coffee.
I can see why Google asked me to review Blue Owl Coffee. After all... I googled the hours and then used my Google maps to get me there. But Google... You are mistaken, we didnt go IN Blue Owl. Because even though my wife and I REALLY wanted some good coffee for our date night, when we arrived, it was closed. Yes, theyre online presence said they were open. Yes, the hours on the door said they were open. But they werent. Glad we wasted our date night time driving there. I DO like their coffee, thats why I wanted to have my wife experience it. So, Im still giving them 3 stars. In this age, I shouldnt have to call ahead to see if a place is open.UPDATE:After seeing this review, the Blue Owl quickly reached out, apologized and discussed the issue. While I was disappointed to not get my coffee fix... Reaching out was great customer service; the kind I expect from great local businesses.
Best tea. And other things apparently, but Im still stuck on the tea after several visits so Im sure I will be moving forward at some point. This seems to be a favorite location for the collage-aged crowd, and offers plenty of menu items from pour overs to their own special version of the affogato. Pretty laid back atmosphere, although you may struggle to find a seat on the weekends if youre looking to stay a while.
The coffee here hits different! the people are so nice and the vibes are great ☕️🌿
I ordered a mocha and it was chocolate coffee deliciousness. The service was great, fast, and easy. I also had a raspberry iced tea near the end of my visit and it couldnt be anymore refreshing!
Had a great experience with my order. Cool decor and atmosphere inside.
I was very pleased with my visit! Coffee was delicious. I had a muffin that was to die for! Not your typical dried out coffee shop muffin. I loved the decor and atmosphere. It was pretty busy, but the back room has a few spots that are quieter and tucked away from everything else. I would highly recommend.
With specialty coffee shops being a dime a dozen in todays city life, Blue Owl Coffee provides a truly unique experience. My favorite quirks of this shop is their cold brew menu (with several vastly different options available) and their cocktail-inspired signature drink menu. Those two aspects alone make Blue Owl a breath of fresh air in a market where great coffee can be found on every corner. Next time youre in Lansing, check out Blue Owl!
Delicious coffee + lots of art! There are various art forms throughout this entire coffee shop. They have paintings/photos on the wall for sale and every stool at the window is a different kind. The tables are pieces of old doors. VERY COOL! I have been here twice and both times have had yummy drinks.
We stopped in for a quick drink between sets at the Robin Theatre. The atmosphere was inviting. Next time, I would like to sit and read a book or play a game here. I am intrigued by the coffee cocktail menu and draft coffee options.
I love this place. It has such beautiful and expressive decor. The drinks are unique and delicious. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Has a strong hipster feel to it. Seating is usually open, but its rarely ever void of costumers. Drinks that do not appear on the menu board can usually be made upon polite request. This is a perfect place to bring your laptop and get some studying done, or read, or just have some good chill time. Live music is provided some evenings. WiFi is available.
I have been to it once and it was for visiting my cousin. On my way there I stopped and got some very good coffee. Lavender mocha iced coffee. The people there were super nice and were very helpful to help me pick a drink. Will come back next time Im in town.
Great coffee, great atmosphere! What more can ya ask for??
Great place for coffee, muffins, and group meetings. The table in the back seats six but you can squeeze a few more in as needed. Great place to work remotely too. Such a charming coffee shop!
Super chill spot. Has had live music a few times I’ve been there as well. Coffee is great and staff is very nice. You’ll catch me reading at least once a week here as it’s my go-to
Nice selection of beverages. Good baked goods and snacks. The hot beverages are really hot liquid so please be careful handling them, especially with to go cups.
Really delicious, unique lattes. I had one that was so good--I think there was lemon involved. Great spot to do homework or meet up with friends.
I Can say if you want to enjoy a corner bar that does not have a attitude this was a great view! It was great service and coffee was perfection. They have many choices and they TALK Beans. With you! So I will be back when I need a place to feel cozy and totally immersed into my Digital world. Best Kept secrets in South Washington, Reo town!Pops not anymore!
Good. Pretty crowded, but definitely enough room. Didnt quite have as chill of a vibe as I enjoy, but I could still focus on conversation.
Excellent service, coffee beans, and a double cortado!
Blue Owl is one of my most frequented coffee shops in the Lansing area and for good reason. I love it here.
Very casual atmosphere. Music, staff were great! Cant wait to go back!
Not my favorite place to go. The coffee pour-over was very bland and two other times when I have asked for tea all they had was Earl Grey. For a good brewed coffee you will have to go elsewhere. Seating is not comfortable. It does have some interesting open mic nights, but seating is very hard to get then.
Was here for the first time tonight taking part in a creative writing reading. Great venue, friendly crowd and a delicious latte made it a very enjoyable experience.
Great vibe! I love the large table in the back and tonight there was a DJ. Great atmosphere and better coffee.
Coffee is the best! Try the varieties and get turned on to taste sensations. If you dont know where to start, ask for a pour over and they will show you 4 coffees to choose from.Super friendly staff.Clean.WifiBusy! No tables available last time I went.
You have to have particular tastes for this to be your kind of place. Im a fan of the Italian style coffee/espresso. I.e. dark, nutty, rich and creamy. Owls style is the opposite. They do not even offer actual cream: milk only. Light roast is all the rage. To someone whos used to coffee in Italy, the latest American hipster coffee trend is thin, weak and sour. Just cant do it.
