Went in for laundry detergent, dish soap, body wash and tooth paste. Then I saw all of the holiday decorations on display! Christmas trees, turkeys, fall decor, lights. Affordable prices and quality products. Big lots also has furniture. I brought my love seat and recliner in 2015 and still have those pieces. I have a couch on lay away right now. I wish the rewards were easier to accumulate so I could redeem them on my purchase today. Otherwise, great experience overall.

Store has been updated a bit and reorganized. It was clean and products were easy to find. Staff is helpful and check out was easy. I can always find something that I need at a great price and fun unusual snacks too.

Much more organized and cleaner than in the past. They have really ramped up their grocery offerings. Can get yummy, unusual finds there. Only downside is you may never find it again! Good place for home goods, cheaper quality but you get what you pay for. Was slightly disappointed in their seasonal dept, it was not as robust as usual but they may have been switching from Spring to Summer?? Good place to get a good bargain, definitely a step up from Dollar General or Family Dollar.

This store has come along ways. They have home decor that is affordable and you can always find great saving on everyday items.

Lady that worked in the furniture department was rude! Literally assisted another customer but when it came to my fiancé and myself she stared through the double doors like she seen no one waiting for assistance. Young lady in the front at the register literally wasn’t helpful and acted like she didn’t want to be there. Please have employees that are ready to assist. We shouldn’t have to wait over 20 minutes to be helped.

People in the furniture area were great and especially the two guys who took my recliner and loaded it up in my small SUV which I thoughg I would have to make two trips to get it home and they assured me they could fit it in with no problem and no damage they were a great bunch of guys sorry I didnt get there names but still the best customer service by far

There prices is reasonable And the mattress i brought still hanging in there, Stowels and sheets i would recommend my family and friends about going there. And it stays clean

Big lots (as a whole) has changed and progressed through the decades, becoming more streamlined and department store like, with a bright crisp much cleaner look, gone are days of digging around and finding super cheap bargains on odds and ends. They still offer low priced products but prices are more in line with Walmart etc

I found great deals on food, most of the house hold items are priced so I can get everything I need at home.

Shelves were almost empty. Bathrooms need some help. On the positive-workers were friendly and helpful.

They post a sign saying things are on sale but then nothing around that sign is even on sale, they are very unorganized

Very good they actually carry baseball cards is a hot item that is hard to find not Meijer Walmart or Target ever have any insect but I went there today and they had baseball cards unbelievable get it together all you other stores does the hot selling item

My friend and I went into the store on Lansings West Side. She needed assistance but the staff was very aggravated with her for asking. There was only one cashier and a long line: the woman working the register called for help and a young man finally came up. When my friend asked again they both scoffed at her and said youll just have to wait my friend said she understood that there was a line but wondered if there were any employees in the back who might be able to help. At that point the man said loudly youll just have to wait. At that point I walked out. We could see they were busy but there is usually more assistance available. Disappointed in the attitude and general treatment.

Staff wad just hanging in the aisles. Cashier was pleasant but coughing and sneezing.Product was easy to find.

This is usually a pretty good store with generally friendly staff. Tonight, however, was shooed out of the store by an employee (taller, middle aged, slightly balding male) right as he walked past us at 9 pm (which is when they close). He rudely said Just so you know, were closed now. There was no announcement made over the speaker system in the store like there normally is. Had a pretty good amount of product ready to head to the checkout, but after that... just ended up leaving the store since his treatment didnt deem my money worth being spent there. As we were on our way out, there were no less than 3 other customers in the store, just strolling the aisles... but apparently that didnt bother him. Again, usually a pretty decent experience at this store which is why i went with a higher rating. But they should really watch their employees, otherwise consumers have no reason to continue to shop at their store. (P.S. That isnt something you ever tell a customer, aside from it being announced over the P.A. system. You let them shop and spend money to help ensure the success of your store.)

Better prices on select items. Yet seem a little disorganized in the juice area and hand soaps. Mixed items put on wrong shelves. Wrong price tags on the shelves

Its big lots.. i mean. I used to go to them for things faithfully when I was young. This one is bigger plenty of stuff. The lease program is great so far. Reasonable prices. Beds are cheaper than, furniture stores and good quality. If you are looking for some bunk beds and cool bed frames def go check them out!

Found some new powdered drink mixes to put in my water. They are Margarita, Strawberry Daiquiri, and Pina Colada should be very interesting and tasty and they were only $1.00 for 6 in a box.

Store is clean and well organized. They dont rearrange too often so it is easy to find your favorites. They have a 20% off entire purchase coupon day every month or so. This makes a lot of my favorite item even cheaper than the dollar stores. Just be careful which lane you get in. They have one clerk that is profoundly slow. It will feel like a lifetime commitment.

Bought 2 cabinets on Christmas Eve. There were only 2 people in the store besides us. We did have to wait about 15 minutes for the guy in the back to make sure the cabinet was in stock but they were, we purchased it, drove in the back to pick it up and off we went. Product was better than I expected. We did have to put it together but all parts were in the box and it looks nice in our kitchen as pantrys.

Very unorganized.... checking out was at a snails pace because they only had one little old lady ringing people up and she had to count change back at least 3 times. I waited in line for 35 minutes and the 2 people in front of me only had about 5 items each.

I was there yesterday and wanted a Christmas tree . but the only one they have left is the display which they dont have the box for it. The manager Hailey told us she can give us 10 percent discount. My bf and I told her well think about it. After doing some research we found out that they acutally make bags for christmas trees. So today we went back and ask one of the assistants for help and explain her the situation. She then went and got the manager to explain our situation (she was a diff manager. Older skinny lady). All the lady said was no, we dont give discount for displays. And walked away without even assisting us further. Rude!! I get it the tree came with the box but there was no box for the tree and that means I would have to spend more money on a tree bag.

Worst Big Lots store that I have ever been to! They have a racist staff who are extremely unprofessional. If you call in to store, the phone rings forever. They do not return calls either. I would never go to this store ever again or recommend them to my worst enemy.

Great selection, great prices, but really unimpressed I could tell I was being profiled on my apperance that I was a shoplifter. Really lame considering I dont do that, plus I was just seeing what the store all had and was hoping to find more gardening/home items. Get bent.

Was looking for a futon mattress .They only had 3 different and wasnt color I wanted.

I was in the store on W. Saginaw, and was greeted by a very rude and condescending manager..... that was obviously not willing to seek me a sectional sofa. He was very argumentative and didn’t make me feel welcome. Won’t be shopping there anymore.... customer service score -10,
