Cashier was rude, unprofessional, and unfriendly .Shopped at store 3/31 at about 6:15 pm.Cashier’s name started with an S.Cashier didn’t greet me, or seemed interested in even being at work. I get it . Times are rough . I don’t need to be someone to be overly happy, and bubbly to greet me . But I am spending money in your store, the most I’ve ever spent at a dollar store ( $54) I could have drove 2 miles to a Meijer for better service ..You are expected working with the public, to handle yourself as a professional, and still give somewhat of a “ I care about customers “ kind of attitude.. fake it if you have to..which she clearly does not have that mentality.I asked a question about a product, if they carried it . She said “ I don’t know “ .I said ok... is there someone here that DOES know?Clearly no effort to try to figure it out, it was a simple laundry thing I couldn’t find going up and down the aisle myself for 10 min .She yells out a name and points, she can help you.I asked the person who I assume was the mGr If she carried the product, she went back to look, came back, and brought something different, not what I was looking for . Ok. No problem . I thanked the Mgr for her effort. She clearly understands giving effort .I’m sorry you have employees that don’t care for your customers . Your still paying them a wage, and they are your front face of your business. You should be more selective of who you hire . She’s in the wrong position to be a cashier . Hide her in the back stocking where she’s not in contact with customers . Just my opinion.She never said have a great day.. thanks for shopping ... come again ... nothing . She said nothing . Close out the sale . “ have a good one “ . “See ya . “Say something . She said nothing. I grabbed my bags and left.Cashier definitely needs more training!

I went in one time and was treated so rudely at checkout I asked to speak to the manager. The lady informed me that she was the manager. I will never return. It’s unfortunate because it’s on my way to work, but I’d happily drive a little further to Gorman’s and pay more than every step foot in that store again.

Female manager is really nice that being other manager not friendly but cleaner then other Dollar general...location not favorite

They usually have everything i need. Sometimes its a bit messy and they have a problem stocking quickly. But everyone is pretty friendly and wont hesitate to help you.

The place has okay merchandise thats getting too expensive but their employees only get worse. Stop raising prices until you work on the customer service aspect. They arent worth the time, the way they treat you there.

Brand new Store...open and ready to save you money....💰....all of the most wanted items easy to get to and convienent....free parking out front....they sell ICE ...pop... beer...clening supplies....bug spray....candy...decent selection of food items.....T shirts and underware

Easy to find what I needed

The store manager, Kevin, harassed me about the purpose of my service animal for several minutes, demanded paperwork/proof and was very unwelcoming/accusitory/rude.I let him know my service animal was for social anxiety as well as ptsd, and that he rides on my shoulders to provide comfort to me so I can leave the house without feeling overwhelmed.He accused me of being a fraud and created a spectical within the store, which, in turn, made me feel extremely overwhelmed, anxious and unable to remain in the store.Catch that? He rides on my shoulders. He does not touch their floors and he has does not interact with other people.His rude line of questioning and argumentative position basically undid what my dog is there for, and nearly sent me into an anxiety attack.Their door has a sign that specifically says service animals welcome.Under Michigan law business owners/managers/employees may NOT harass (I.e. demanding paperwork, proof and/or identifying leash/harness, and/or I.d. card).Acceptable questions one can ask are, is this a service animal and what purpose does your service animal serve - even if it is a borderline encroachment of privacy, its legal.Long story short, do not expect them to know the service animal laws at Dollar general, and do not expect them to be kind to the disabled.

Store is clean, always short handed but the customer service is always excellent

I called to see if they had an item before i drove across town. I was told they can not leave there registars to check to see if they have an item. Funny a cigatette break must not count.

Has stuff you need

There was stuff everywhere messy store and the cashier didnt v even say hi. Smile nothing. But normally i get someone friendly. Never seen this guy before.
