Installed large window in January. Minimal time with open hole yet job was well done. Polite and knowledgeable workers. Will hire again!

Lets face it: With these reviews either customers really love the business, or they really dont love it. Trying to avoid the word hate. Taking into account for covid, my 17 window order took longer to arrive. Oh, well- just another work around that needed to be scheduled. Chuck and Mike did a nice job on the install. They were very patient and deliberate while adhering to my three main expectations I shared with them at the beginning of the job: Common Sense, Due Diligence and Following the Reasonable Person Standard. Sales person, Tom, knew his job too. Hes another good person from Window World. James (owner) came to the house, performed all measurements and made sure all my questions were answered. I really felt well taken care of and would recommend this business to anyone who truly wants value for their dollar.

Tom, the salesman was great. Friendly and looked out for our best interest. Ordered 7 windows, a slider and a storm door. Because of the pandemic they said it could be 8 weeks before windows came in. Never got an update, had to call in 9 weeks later to find they were ready to come out and install. Which they said would be done in 1.5 days. They came out on Friday and only installed 2 of the windows because of lack of supplies on hand. (Contractors fault) They came back Monday, still not done. Came back on Tuesday to finish up to find out the contractor didnt have the expertise to install our storm door. He said someone will contact me within the week. 9 days pass and I have to call them once again go get scheduled. Spoke with Devin and scheduled me for next week. Immediately got a call back saying my appointment will have to be postponed so they could finish another customers job. So I explained my frustration that they are postponing my appointment to finish someone elses job when mine has now been postponed over 2 weeks since initial install. Would also like to note, the contractors were great guys, but the caulk job is terrible and they left J-channel and pieces of siding throughout my yard. Our slider only locks half the time. You really have to slam it in order for it to lock. Which being a new door, there shouldnt be any issues. I was also charged for a door stop on my slider and it was never installed, let alone ordered. They said itd be another 2 weeks to get that ordered or I could get a refund. So they issued me a refund for that. If I wouldnt have said anything, I wouldve been charged $80 for nothing. So since they first started installing, itll be 4 weeks for them to complete the job. Leaving my 2 star review as is unless window world decides to make it right for my family and I. As of right now, I would not recommend.

Sales person came out he was very nice but lacked some knowledge, he said if i was interested I would have to call back and the owner would, have to come look at one specific window to finish my quote up. I have called many times and left messages and spoke directly, Sales person returned my call ONCE and left a vm because I was working but he never called back after that even with me calling him many times agian. I was all set to pay for the contract and get on the schedule however its been over 6 months now and still no response. Also cant ever get a hold of a local office some times you will get the call center to call you back saying they had a missed call but other then that poor communication . BTW owner never did come look at the window i just was going to go ahead anyways.

Windows World did an awesome job! From the Sales Rep. to the Installers they were professional arriving promptly and ending with cleaning up their work. We definitely will be using them again.Thanks Window World for making purchasing Windows Easy!

I was referred to Window World of Lansing, MI by my son, I called and the representative came out, very nice explained everything, he gave me an estimate for a front door with panels on both sides with decorative glass.I called him a few days later and ask if there was a better color chart the ones in the brochure, they had some and he would send it right out. A week later I texted him saying I had not received it yet, three day after that, I called him and left a message, No Response, Three days later I called his office told them I had $5000.00 to pay for the door and installation I just need a better color cart. they apologized and they would get in contact with the representative and it would be taken care of.Now it has been more than a week and I have not heard NothingI guess they do not want my MoneyCarey

Window World of Lansing replaced every window in our house last month. It was a great experience. Tim, our salesman, was very knowledgeable and not pushy. We went to the showroom and were assisted by the owner, James . Prices were very competitive. Installers were on time and cleaned up after themselves. Would highly recommend this company.

Called Window World prepared to pay for 11 new windows. Tim, my salesman, reviewed each window and said that I only needed 3. Wow, a company that you can trust. Micheal, the installer, did a great job installing, explaining, and cleaning up. Ask for them. Super job. 5 stars

The sales person never showed up for our scheduled appointment to provide a quote. Neither he or the company called with an explanation or to attempt to reschedule. Due to this lack of communication and professionalism we wont do business with Window World.

On the day of my appointment, Tim arrived on time, and after looking over my project as well as listening to what I wanted, he stunned me with his recommendation to hire a glazier to repair my panes instead of replacing the windows. He could have easily kept that idea to himself, but he chose good old-fashioned honesty, which resulted in considerable savings for me. The next time I need to replace windows, Window World will definitely get the job. I highly recommend this business.

Horrible company to work with. We wanted a BAY window and explained that to the salesman. He orders us a BOW window. They never sent us pictures like they said they would in the paperwork we signed, they just order the windows. It came and the window looked awful. Thought the owners would make it right and replace it, we didnt even tell them to give us a discount, we just wanted the window we told the salesman we wanted. They finally agreed to replace the window with something they wanted. And every time we schedule an appointment they either cancel or dont show. I hope if anyone decides to do business with them they have a better experience than us. Because we still have a window in our house that we hate :(

Everything from our first appointment with Bill, to the day the windows were installed was excellent. The installation crew did a fantastic job. They made sure we knew all about the features, including the ease of cleaning them.We would highly recommend Window World of Lansing to anyone considering replacement windows.

My overall experience with Window World of Lansing was very negative. I ordered windows in May and installation began in late July. The job was suppose to take two days, but with a small crew of 2 people, they spent 6 business days installing my windows and did not complete the job then. They then quit showing up to finish wrapping the windows, and the owner James would not return any of my calls. They would promise to come out to finish the job, but then the workers would never show up. It took until early November before my last window was installed. The installation with the windows was not perfect either. The wrapping was cut too short, and unnecessarily large amount of caulk was needed to deal with this; the caulk also began to separate later. During a heavier rain at the end of August, every single window that was installed had water leaking through them. When we contacted James about the water, he ignored us once again. When I purchased the windows, I really believed Window World would do a fantastic job, but unfortunately they did not nearly live up to those expectations. I would not recommend Window World of Lansing to anyone, and Ive heard they are being sued for other lowly work theyve done.

I loved working with James from Window World. I met with several different window companies. Another Lansing local company was nice but the price came in high and their solutions were not really good. James took the time to help me maintain the character of our mid century modern home while finding me affordable windows that brought in a lot of light and increased energy efficiency.We love the way they open and bring in light with room and breeze with the screens. Excellent work.My advice: Never work with one of the bigger well-known companies like wall side or Andersen. If anybody ever tells you that they in order to talk to you they need your husband to be home you know you’re dealing with a scam company.I highly recommend James from Window World.

Terrible customer service. Came out gave speech and estimate. Tried to call several times to order.... nothing. Called one last time, asked for manager or owner again not a word. If you act like this when Im trying to give you money, what would it be like if I had a problem??. #lessthan1star

We had windows installed last week and couldnt be happier with install and windows..I had a large bay window removed and replaced with large 3 window double slide and the guys trimmed and installed huge window along with 8 others on second floor ..It was a fantastic experience from initial estimate to finished job..The cost and quality could not be matched by the other 5 ir 6 companies I called..If I knew of someone looking for windows I would tell them to not waste a lot of time calling around like I did and make one call to Window World..I will be calling late spring for our siding to be done and will not call any other companies..Thanks again James, Tom Chuck and Mike for the great job..

Very pleased with the process from start to finish. The salesperson was not pushy and extremely helpful. I informed him I wanted to get another bid which I did. I found Window World to be $1,000 cheaper than the bigger companies and the window itself to be every bit as good. The crew that did the installation was very prompt and professional! Kudos to Joe for being very through. The improvement to my home not only will add value and a better environment but looks great!I would say you couldn’t find a better deal if your concerns are quality, customer service and reliability.

Had kitchen window installed 11/24/17 and came broken, week later got a replacement installed fast turn around right? But does not latch right, you open window a little and does not line up right, called few times and waiting for a inspection, I have had trouble with two other window companies in the past and looking like this is the third window company that’s going to be trouble to get stuff right, I guess I’ll take a loss on this job too, so far I can’t find a decent window company to get stuff done right and in a decent manner, do not recommend using window world, just getting the run around!!! If a company wants to make a job right they should not put you at the bottom of the list, should make it right as soon as possible. I will change this review as fast as I get my window done right, as it looks won’t be any time soon.

Quality in every way. You will not find a better window or business.... for style, function, skilled installation, craft. Did all the research. These people, all of them, really delivered! A great product/great result.

I just had an estimate from this company and chose not to get work done by them for the following reasons:Quote was way too high.He estimated that total work area would be 55 squares of siding but when I got it done from an honest person it was only 29 square of siding.My recommendation get the job done from an honest person.

Window install okay but crews who do sofit/fascia roof venting very poorFew weeks after done pieces of sheet metal falling off house. Called and chuck (person contracted to do job)Came out and said just missed a nail. They reattached it. Few months later we noted another piece sliding off front of house. Called window world twice no calls returned. Now in back of house a whole piece of sheet metal hanging down. Called window world end of February and was told they would have to check when they could get a crew out.. waited a week no follow up call to inform us when someone could come out to fix. Meanwhile the whole piece of sheet metal flew off house. Had to call corporate office and file a complaintWe received a call after corporate contacted window world of LansingThey sent someone out on Tuesday, March 7th. Was told that the nails used were too short to grab wood and they would be out on Saturday afternoon to fix. No show on Saturday and no call to inform us whyCalled window world twice over w/e about no show. No calls returned.Monday I called office and was told they had just arrived at office and had no information. After. placed on hold was told the repair crew said they called us on Saturday and left a message informing us their truck broke down . We had no messages left on any of our phones. Now being told they will come out on wed or ThursdayReally poor business would pay extra and get better company to do your job correctly and honor repairing mistakes in timely manner. Ok, they said they should come at 9 AM, its now 12 PM and not here. They said they wouldnt be coming on the day they scheduled and then they had to find the doors we had, then they would get the doors later, then they havent heard from them, maybe they got in a car accident?

Order windows from a contractor

This company, has to be the worst company on Earth. After months of waiting, the great day comes for installation. Steve was suppose to install. Every time he was suppose to be here, he texted he was sick, next week, he had cut his hand, next week, his wife was sick. I forgot the Fourth week excuse. I called and spoke with Betty, the owners mother. She said yes, she knows, Steve has problems. So Sent out John to install, John said he could not do it as he did not know construction. It is not construction, it is taking wood out. Anyway, two weeks later Betty sent out Mike (who is professional ) But, also Charles, he was stoned he ripped out the wood too far.. In the window opening. The windows were to big, and measured wrong. Brought the wrong color J-Channel. Left my window in backward, left the vinyl siding loose. I called to ask them to fix the siding, and was told by Betty, no We will not be doing that. Tim who originally came out calls me and said oh, you want buck board and trim added now. No, according to contract it was suppose to be just like the ones on rest of the house. LOL, After this complete CLUSTER f**k, I was told they would not reorder the second windows and would not continue with the job as they have been out here too many times, Speaking to Betty again, I said and whose fought is that ?Dont even get me started on Deven, He is completely incompetent. Never had answers, could not answer one question. All in all, RUN as fast as you can from this company.. Per the owner James, they will not honor the contract. I find this extremally unprofessional. After so many mistakes and being out here so many times, I was at my wits end. I called and cancelled, call back and left a message to go ahead as I was upset with all of this. Never called me back .

From meeting with Tom initially to having Chuck and Mike do the installation, we were very happy with our choice in using Window World of Lansing. Once the installation began, they were, quick, professional and very accommodating. I would definetly recommend them.
