Went in to buy groceries and wine for a cooking recipe. Old woman also asked for my girlfriends ID (which she didn’t have on her), who is 1) of age 2) not buying it 3) will not be consuming it. She refused to let me buy it. Just an inconvenience because I simply went back in and bought it in a different lane. Not sure what they think they’re accomplishing, but I will not be returning. The place pretty crusty and Meijer’s better anyway.
Old garden sales area in front of the store close to the entrance and sidewalk is used as a smoking area for employees . Too close to the entrance and sidewalk. Smoke out back. Also the same garden sales area is also used by street people to hide alcohol or whatever else. Why are there empty liquor bottles in the the so called employee break area? Why is the gate not locked? I was told by a mouthy employee that corporate wouldnt buy them a lock . Store manager is also incompetent . Said he completely agreed with me. So why not fix it? Outside lights are never turned on. Looks closed after dark. The store is totally trailer park. I wont shop at another Kroger . Particularly the frandor Kroger . Unsafe conditions for shoppers
From the stock staff to the manager and everyone in between, they are always friendly and helpful. I can usually find what Im looking for. It has a descent variety for a smaller Kroger store and reasonable prices. The restroom 🚻 is more like a truck stop than a grocery store, but at least they do let you use it!
Went to Kroger for bottle return with my fiancé We went straight to the bottle return area, once the bottle sorting was completed, I grabbed bread nearby in the aisle directly across from the bottle return. After, I stopped through self check out when the return was completed to purchase the bread and redeem the bottle return. My fiancee decided to go on out to the car with the extra bottles that were not accepted at this location, there was no store browsing, it was a straight forward trip. Upon attempting to leave he noticed his cart stopped and would not budge when he pushed it, he gave up and was about to get another cart to put the bottles in when security came to him and told him that they stopped the cart, remember, this was a straight forward trip, no browsing, i was the only one of us who went to get bread in the bread aisle. But my fiancé went in, straight to the bottle return and straight to the exit once the return was completed. He did nothing for them to assume he did any wrong, yet they assumed he was a thief, with no proof, no one saw him do anything wrong????? They saw that he had nothing but old empty bottles in trash bags. It was embarrassing, security did not apologize, and my fiancee left and waited for me at the car. This was simply profiling and there was no reason at all to assume that my fiancee took anything when he only went to bottle return and attempted to leave directly afterwards. He works hard 10+ hours a day. Do they stop everyone coming in for bottle return??????? Maybe move bottle return from inside of the store to outside to avoid this happening to honest customers.
I was at the Kroger Store in Frandor and went to the courtesy desk to get help with how to figure out the digital coupons and Jen was so nice and completely fixed the problem I was having. She was kind and so helpful and she ought to get a raise😊
Went to Kroger to cash a check today, get there and the service desk is closed. Why would they have the service desk closed it is always something at this location I will not be back! When I asked why it was closed no one could answer SMH
I don’t write reviews a lot but this one seemed worthy of one. Cashier Susan is just straight up a great person and worker she was about to closer her land but let me in she was super friendly and polite even though she had already put the we closed sign up after me there was a guy with three items and she waved him on sayings it’s just a few no worries. Great work ethic
Great range, organic options, and friendly staff
Found gluten free bread on clearance!
This Kroger is my least favorite in the Lansing area. The selection isnt great, the store isnt as clean and stocked as the other Krogers, and it has the highest bum per shopper ratio Ive ever seen, especially in the winter time.In terms of friendliness, the service is normally good. The only complaints are around the way they treat vendor partners. Its one of the only stores that will not even consider letting their young partners into the store to sell cookies during the extremely cold days. The only other store Ive experienced with a blanket no exception is owned by Sam. Granted, I realize they communicate that clearly and there should be no expectation. To that end, a decent Kroger.
There was 2 carts for the store and I went 30 minutes into their open hours, the whole aisle of lunch meat and bacon was empty. This is the second time in 4 weeks they have had very little in the store and few sale items. Very disappointed in the downhill course of this store.
Says closes at 11 got there at 10 and their closed such a shame cant even go to a grocery store anymore without them either being out of stuff or closing early
Most pathetic grocery store in State
The assistant manager is very rude and not only refuses to listen to the shopper but will yell and swear at you on the phone then hang up when there is an issue. My family won’t be going back and Ive been sure to tell my family and friends who are doing the same. Don’t stand for bad management and bad service!
I love the prices and all the different brands. My favorite is the organic/vegan section . I like how it is a smaller store its less walking for my daughter and it makes it easier for her what to choose. I love the seasonal products they display in the front also and the flowers .
These are cc rib chops from Kroger at Frandor! These are the best looking cuts I have seen. Great job to a great meat dept. Thank you. Gloria S.
Staff: Generally seem nice and ready to help, but their morale seems a bit low. This could be a product of management or just a coincidence on the few times Ive been here.Products: This is a smaller Kroger, but still has most of the essentials. Dont expect a large variety of organic/natural products, though. Produce is very concerning because much of the greens are very old--wilted and browning. This is very disappointing that individuals in this part of Lansing arent being provided high-quality produce. In this regard, the store needs significant improvement.Vibe: Its pretty typical, but I would suggest that the store needs to be cleaned a little better. Floors, shelves, and just everything generally feels like it is seldom cleaned. Lansing residents deserve better.Overall: Acceptable location for the sporadic visit, but I wouldnt want this to be my regular grocery store.
Usually I don’t do these negative reviews on poor quality customer service, but this one was over the edge for me. The other day I was buying some stuff from and I checked out at the cashier lanes. I drove home and as I was taking stuff out my bags, I found cigarette ashes laying on my items inside the bags. I didn’t catch the name of the guy who bagged for me but he was an older looking employee. It’s going to be a while until I come back to this Kroger.
Go to the Lake Lansing location instead if it is an option. This one needs a facelift, more staff, more checkout lanes and a better layout. But if this location is close to you, then it is a great option with some drawbacks. I hope it eventually gets updated, not closed. Other nearby grocery stores like Apple Market and Better Health might be better just to find stuff on the shelves.
Another great place to shop
So normally an mediocre grocery store (inconsistant with what they stock, small produce) but I was there 7/10/2020 around 4:00pm and there was a woman vomiting on the floor while stocking shelves near the deli section. I brought this to staff attention but nothing was done. This woman wasnt even wearing a mask. I later saw the managers standing outside away in the parking lot, which I believe is odd considering there is a clearly sick employee potentially exposing others to sickness. This is disgusting and irresponsible not during a pandemic but after seeing this I will not be returning and advise others to do the same.
Staff is really cool with me. They always r so nice and welcoming! Im a 3rd shift Security officer and I com. In first thing in the morning almost everyday and they always r so nice and helpful with me.
Food was really good. The cheese sticks were good just not cooked long enough. I had a cheese burger & onion rings. Waitress needed to check back sooner n offer refill. I will go back again.
Fairly clean, nice workers.80% of people are compliant w masks but, for the 2nd time, I found out of date food on the shelves. Dated for exp was: Dec 2019!!!
I was at Krogers this morning helping a senior friend do her shopping. #1 we were looking for toilet paper and the shelves were empty. #2 when we made our purchases and went to leave the automatic door closed on my friend. She has a walker and the door pushed her and the walker ahe didnt have enough strength and was falling. I had to grab the door to stop it from completely knocking her down. Her hip is sore and bruised. The lady behind us tried to push on the door as well. When we called to let them know the manager said there is a warning sign on the door. We didnt see any warning sign..but we wont be shopping here again!
This Kroger is ok if you need to pick up something real quick. Doesn’t have a great variety or much of anything.
So convenient! And I love when the, long time employees know who you are. Nice store, good produce great people.
Its not a clean store. Selection is limited and sale pricing is based on club card membership. There are far better options for groceries in Lansing than Kroger.
I love this store it is clean and the people are respectful
I dont need people who work there getting into my business that doesnt add or subtract from the stores business.
Cashier was so helpful. He helped me find some drops that would help with my dry mouth (sugar-free ricola by the way) which is much better than having to suck on sugary lemon drops ALL DAY (gag!) like the doc suggested.
Really good supermarket! Great service, very good selection. Reasonable prices.
Normally my favorite Kroger to go to. But lately Ive had a lot of issues with rude cashiers. Not all of them, thank god. But a few of them dont know a thing about customer service. I highly recommend going to the one on Coolidge
Sometimes things get out of stock, but a Great place with greater staff.
I was there on Monday April 8th at around 8:30 am. Virtually no other customers were shopping which I loved. I was able to purchase Kroger brand ground beef, cheddar cheese, eggs and doughnuts plus other items for less than $25 bucks.
Just your average grocery store, nothing special about. I didnt require any contact with any employees besides checking out to establish the level of service. Its a little small, but they had everything I was looking for. Checkout went fast, prices were fair.
Older Kroger. They have a limited selection as compared to other Krogers. When we were there a lot of the lights were off, including in the produce department even though we were there about 2 hours before closing time. Not a terrible store but definitely could use an update.
Great deals on basic food products. Friendly people. Good place to shop
The young male worker named Anton Karl is always very happy and nice when I go in and is always willing to help.
I saw 3 customer people not wearing mask. They still let people in
Alot of things that aren’t priced right your double compared to other kroger every Kroger should be the same prices
Not only did they have what I hoped for the pricing was fantastic! Curtious Employees, very helpful and CHEERFUL!! 😁😁😁 Giving this store a ⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐ rating!
Love the store and the people that work there. Wish the parking was safer ..but thats not Krogers fault
Need a reward card for some of the savings. Parking lot is very congested and hectic.
The store workers are helpful and courteous . Scuffles are normal everywhere on this planet, are they not ? And we all have them for they (refering to the aliens inside us) see to it . Keep your heads up Jesus is helping everyone with that !
Krogers Is A Great Place To Grocery Shop.
Easy in and out. Always have what I need.
The staff were nice, I went there around 6:30 am before work. The bathroom was disgusting and it smelled horrible. There is only one bathroom with a single toilet for shoppers
Pretty decent Kroger, kinda small and not great produce section. Prices are always great though
The produce doesnt seem very fresh here, the selection is lacking, and the Frandor Shopping Center is notoriously difficult to navigate into. Theres a bigger, nicer Kroger a few minutes north of this location on Coolidge. Id only go to this Kroger if youre already in Frandor and need to grab some quick groceries.
Easy in and out. Clean. Well stocked. Cashiers are very friendly and helpful.
Always helpful and friendly even the stick people greet the customers. Very caring people work there.
Went in this location to pick up some cookies for a party and used the self check out. The items didn’t show correctly on the screen so just wanted to void them out and needed assistance from the employees to do so. 5 employees standing in the self checkout ignoring the machine saying help will be with you. Had I say excuse me 2 different times to have an employee even acknowledge us standing there. Got an eye roll from the employee who had to stop her personal conversation to come help. I work for customer service all day long 13 hour days. This by far is totally unacceptable. This is not how a customer should be treated while there to spend money. Definitely will not be returning to this store do to rudeness encountered.
The store was clean I like the fact that everything was fresh
Has a good selection just a bit more expensive than other stores.
Great place to shop! Very convenient
The service here is excellent. Im a morning shopper and everyone is always extremely nice and helpful.
Love going there, everyone is so helpful. 🎉
Most of the staff are very friendly, especially the manager. Abundant choices of products, more than enough for basic college student survival. This is the only grocery store within a walking distance from MSU campus. However, the store in general looks kind of dirty and...sad?Very limited selection of meat and vegetables, especially beef and seafood. They also often run out of Haagen-Dazs/Ben & Jerry’s ice cream rather quickly.
Kinda dirty. the kid working there looked angry, like he was stuck in detention. Just didnt like the feel of the place at all. I grew up going to meijers, and this is the 1st time I have shopped at a Kroger store. I was thinking I would switch, but this store definitely changed my mind.
Excellent Customer assistance . polite and clean store
Ive worked at a Kroger and this is the most revolting one Ive ever been in. When you walk in it smells like straight up sewage and the floors as well as the produce trays were disgustingly filthy! If there was a 0 stars option id be giving it just that!
Quick, convenient, friendly. My only gripe is they dont carry as much as the other Krogers around town. Likely because its a smaller store.
Nice Kroger...pleasant employees....great selection!
I decided to write this review because for the second time in recent history some of my paid for order did not get into my possession. Each time I called after I got home and unloaded groceries to find it held at the service desk. They want me to come back to the store and pick up the products. They will not give me a credit card credit for the items over the phone. I HAVE to return to the store. This is a terrible scheduling inconvenience not to mention the costs involved with returning. It doesnt do much for meal preparation either.
You will NOT have to wait in long checkout lines here! Pleasant employees!
Not as good as Meijer in terms of variety of choices, but better than Whole Foods and Fresh Thyme.
There are a lot of great people that work here
It is a fast easy place to get the food I need. It does not have everything, or the best sales, but it is faster.
This Kroger is a pretty nice store its In east lansing and fairly busy. I did get in and right out after getting what I needed.
This store was spotless and our cashier Amber was very nice.
This is not a store to shop if you need to also return bottles. The staff thinks they know more than they do. Even the guy at 1800krogers in VA knows more about bottles laws in MI then they do here. I was refused bottle returns because they dont clean and maintain their machines. They went out of their way to hassle me, the customer. They said they dont have a way to count or store bottles when the machine is down. The manager stood there with a blank stare on her face and no clue what to do. She is in the wrong position! They finally called Sara and were not happy when she told them they have to accept bottles whether the machines work or not (MI law).
Today I was very disappointed bc I went thete to get red rasberrys and blueberries and they were all gone, wow people its only tuesday and if your gonna have stuff on sale maybe you should make sure you have enough of it to last all week
I could find exactly what I was looking for quickly, even while I wasnt familiar with the store.
I am a Kroger guy! Shopped at Frys in Arizona. Very good stores.
This is inferior to Meijer in just about every conceivable way. The fruit is always gross, the prices are more expensive, there is less selection, the employees seem to hate it, there is only a self scan checkout at night, there are fewer hours, it always seems dirty, lots of food seems almost expired, etc etc etc. But then again, I wouldnt expect anything less from a company founded in Ohio, the worst state in the nation. The only reason I ever go here is because I am in the Frandor area already and need to shop. I always regret not just taking an extra 10 minutes and driving to literally any other store. Even Wal-Mart has better food than them, and I cant believe Im saying that.
This Kroger is essentially a walk in refrigerator so they tend to have good fresh fruits and vegetables.
What is wrong with everyone saying Kroger is bad. Everything is miles cheaper and a lot of the products have buy 1 get 1 free sales. I save at least 40 dollars every time I go to Kroger instead of Meijer. The produce is decent to be fair nothing to wow you over for but if you are going out to buy canned goods or bagels or anything like that I guarantee youll save money at Kroger.
Clean store nice employees fast service
I wish i could give 0 Stars. Ur Manager is Rude and i was ripped off by Krogers Again. All because ur Manager wouldnt let the cashier show him were to go to bring up my coupons. The cashier tried to show him and he ripped My phone away from her. He wanted me to go to the service desked and stand there for a hour for him to go through every thing. All he had to do is bring my coupons up that simple.
Great selection, organic selections, great staff
The Kroger in Frandor has been my go-to grocery store for over 30 years - which should tell you something right there.
Really small, but Ive never had any bad experiences here.
Im from Texas & Kroger is my favorite Houston shopping stores here in Lansing Im visiting my mom, krogers here are totally different I dont do much shopping in Lansing dont like the stores nothing better than Houstons super stores
Easy to get to. But sometimes dont open and close the same hours posted.
Didnt have cheesecake crumbs but got a deal on Philadelphia cream cheese.
Had a good experience. Friendly workers. Was asked a few times if I needed help finding anything.
Never ever under any circumstance buy Kroger brand meat. Every time I do, it smells funny, some meat has already started browning before the expiration date. Its sketchy. Aldi has even better food than this place- Walmart too smh.
Dont shop here much, but its a nice store to check out. Good sale prices.
Worst Kroger ever. Unless all you need is milk and eggs and such You should take the 5 extra minutes and go to the Kroger on lake Lansing by the meijer and Maru. It is 100 % better and worth the extra distance.
Decent location. Good selection, and clean facility.
Very kind and generous people.
Customer service was great. Thanks Tammy.
Really sad when you stand in front of the deli with three people working and cant get any service.. We wont be back!
Always a good stop on my way up north.
I love groger
Not bad. Well, retail clerk was just very rude to me!
Great products and excellent service
Smaller than a normal Kroger, doesnt have an extensive selection. Helpful employees though and a convenient location.
