Ive been waiting in line in their drive-thru pharmacy for a long time, and the line has barely moved. Between only serving one customer at a time and doing that abysmally slowly, I am very much regretting switching my prescriptions here. It would have been far faster and less frustrating to stick with driving to Destrehan each time.

Pharmacy is one of worst around I hate that it’s one of the only ones we have to use in our area after hours. They are rude and they don’t know how to run the orders correctly.

The district manager whom oversees this store location in Laplace, LA needs to be aware of the continuous arrogance and rudeness that the pharmacy staff displays to customers. Lack of professionalism and lack of compassion is an understatement. I called at noon today on 1/27/21 to inquire if my prescriptions were ready and i was advised they had just received the scripts. When I asked approximately when they would be ready I was told Youre in the system and itll just send you a message. I never received a message and called at 6pm to inquire on the status. I was advised it was ready and the staff has no answer and completely ignored my question of why I didnt receive a notification earlier. I advised l would be coming through the drive-thru to pick up my prescriptions and was given a prompt hang up and disconnection. I drove to this location and the drive thru was closed and shade pulled down at 6:15pm on a Wednesday night. I feel an action plan is needed for this store and some diversity/inclusion training classes for the management and staff wouldnt be bad idea either. This is the third time I have experienced issues with the pharmacy staff and it is very disappointing and discouraging.

Wait time in pharmacy is bad. You would think that they would work the new comers in the morning when there isnt much business and put the veterans to work in the evenings. Waited almost an hour in line last night with only 4 people ahead of me. The bright side, the new employees are nice.

Allegedly the medicaid billing line was down and only my primary insurance was available. I waited and hour till i gave up and just borrowed the money for my medication. That i didnt have. The pharmacy tech was amused at the frustration and pain patients were in waiting for medications. It’s unbelievable i was discharged from the hospital after having surgery and needed to be on this medicine on a timely manner. If not then my pain could turn into worse pain overall. The pharmacist explained to me she could only keep trying to get it fixed. The pharmacy tech asked me if i wanted to wait. Im in pain i could not wait any longer i had four incisions for me to even get out my car to have to get this medicine was not recommended. But i had to get it and i will be returning tomorrow to get a refund once my medicaid covers it. Bc i will not be taken advantage of it seemed like these four pharmacy techs under the pharmacist did not want to work. Smh. Which is sad because thats an amount of a team.

The Manager refused to honor a price that was clearly marked under the product. If I could give it a no star for satisfaction I would. I shop at this location and I’m very disappointed in what took place today.

The pharmacy at this location is horrible. The pharmacist was very rude, disrespectful and unprofessional, and I was wondering why the customer ahead of me blew up on her and the tech. Ethics? The treatment of the sick and elderly?

The person answers the phone should know the answers. If not on hold you are transferred several times and still have to hang up and call back.

Terrible pharmacy service. If I go through drive through, I turn off my car and wait at least a good 30 min. Inside, I stand in a long line and wait about the same.Ive considered switching pharmacies because of how long everything takes.

I recently moved to the area from cabot Arkansas. I needed to get my prescription transferred. I called them at 830 am with all the info that they asked for. They said they would get right on the transfer. I came in at 430 and it wasnt ready. I was told they couldnt get in touch with my pharmacist back home to complete the transfer until about an hour before I arrived. Little did they know that my friend back home was my pharmacist and he told me they didnt call till around 4 pm. Why lie Walgreens? Very disappointed from a new customer

Went to the pharmacy tonight to get a prescription filled for my sister who was in a lot of pain and couldnt walk on her leg. I was told that I could not get it filled due to the prescription wasnt for me. I told them that I have gotten precriptions filled before for her and now telling me I cant do it. Now I have worked for Walgreens before and I know the policies you can have a prescription filled for someone as long as you have a valid drivers licence and telling them how you are related to that person. This lady had a bad attitude and was very rude. This is why I use the Med Shoppe but they were closed by the time we got out of the emergency room. You really need to teach your employees the real rules of how to do things and make sure they do there job right. Now by her telling me wrong information my sister has to wait 3 hours to get her prescription instead of twenty minutes which I might add she needed because she was in a lot of pain and couldnt walk. She has to suffer now because someone who dont know how to do there job thinks they know more then others. Let me come back to work for Walgreens i sill show you a true employee that actually does know what they are talking about and know the real rules on how to work anything in the store.

I really wish I could give zero stars. There is so much wrong with this pharmacy thats not even funny. I chose a different pharmacy, and left this place alone. -SIGH- Where to begin??? The wait times are ridiculous and theyre all but one young lady are unhelpful, rude, and spacey. The persons working the lobby were completely unhelpful. I went to the drop-off window to be told it was closed and to go the pick-up window. 😒 After waiting over 5 minutes an employee called up another person who was standing in line behind me.😡 I waited longer to have the woman at the counter tell me she couldnt take my drop off because I had to use the drop off window, and she STILL refused my Rx after I told her I was sent to the pickup window! She just walked away from me! How professional is that?! 🤬 I just went to the drive thru and dropped it off there. I had to wait 2 hours for a prescription to be ready. After that 2 hours, I had to wait 45 mins in the drive thru (I literally timed it), and the prescription still had to be put together after I got to the window. SMH! I had a migraine waiting for the meds to help me with the migraine. I didnt need extra stress levels added to it! The pharmacy will leave you waiting in line SICK AS A DOG for a prescription that had to be ORDERED because they FAILED at communicating the medicine was out of stock at the time! The store part is no better than the pharmacy. This ENTIRE store/pharmacy needs an overhaul. They need employees well experienced in customer service, and who understand the customers are sick patients who dont have time for foolish runarounds! Completely unacceptable!
