Really big Academy Sports. For the most part the store was really organized. Most of the staff was busy, so there was really no one available to help at the moment. Other than that, the store was clean and presentable.

Ammo and reloading supplies are hard to find I get it. I understand the “limit 2 boxes” of ammo per person. But limiting reloading primers, especially without a sign, isn’t right in my opinion. Put a sign up or let me buy what I want to buy. Don’t “make a deal” with me to get me out of the store. If there isn’t a sign telling me if a limit, I think I should have been able to buy what I wanted. Other than that the store was nice. Clean and people are somewhat friendly.

This is the best out of the 2 stores in laredo, Henry the Manager is always easy to talk to, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. The staff is always happy and will go out of their way to help you out.

Apparel staff either lied or did not know their department that well so thankfully I read their noncaring body language correctly and found shorts their in my own without their help. Look at pictures as proof!

The North Laredo store was my go to place for the athletic clothing for my daughters for both birthdays and holidays. After a bad experience with manager Alonzo I will be giving my business to the store by the mall or go to the outlets. This person was rude and argued about a credit. He was not polite and didn’t even say thank you afterwards. Where do these managers get their customer service training. ?The item returned was originally $22.00 with tags they wanted to give me a $6. Credit and then he says a $15 gift card . Rapidly he changes to 20% off next purchase. When I was ready to pay he wanted to give us the 20% on a $20.00 purchase which obviously it would be $4.00 . Come On!!!! After I argued about it he gives the $15 credit and walks away upset. These people forget that they have a job because of us the consumers.Please train managers to be polite/courteous.

Sadly but the Acdamy store on longer carries Fly Fishing supplies. This Laredo, Texas store is not a good sporting store. Because you need to travel 150 miles or more to get Fly Fishing supplies or order on line.

Found what I needed, and much cheaper than Walmart.

The only person that greeted and acknowledged me was the guy at the entrance . Very polite and courteous. The guys at the shoe department just stared I was looking for some shoes and no help . Gun department is always the worst . This store used to be my to go store now its not Im just going to avoid the gun and shoe department for good . The rest no problem .

Best customer service. Was helped by Freddie and two other team member I didnt catch their names. No name tags. Organization was good, Cleanliness was pretty good. The staff were helpful and didnt give the feel that is normally given around Laredo. The sense of inconvenience to help the guest. Academy I give you kudos.

A good place to find sports equipment and any outdoor hobbies, you might be into. With an OK of friendly staff, but need to be available more for customer service, in all section, Rather then being just in front of the store. Furthermore, they need more common verity of shoes.

I was here Friday 12/14/2019. Pretty good Store for Metal Olympic Weights which I needed for my workouts. I would visit again too.

Big selection in everything, from bikes, clothing, shoes and everything sporting. Had a great experience with a young man named Joseph. He was extremely knowledgeable about his dept and just about everything else in the store if only there was more people like Joseph T in the world.

This store has such a better selection than the other location. The employees are very pleasant with the exception of the elderly woman cashier, I didnt get her name. She was short with me and didnt hand me my receipt or bag. Ive never seen that in my life because they have to pull the receipt out of the machine anyway. She actually placed it on the counter. Terrible service I wouldnt allow her to handle customers.

Very nice supermarket style store full of sporting goods.I wish they had in stock more small-medium size clothing and shoes. they have tons of XXXL that remains unsold for long times and I would have bought a lot more in my visit had I found my size.Specially in this city that is devoted to people coming from Mexico, this is an issue and they could make better money out of visitors.

Manager was willing to give credit to use in store. Neither store has a magazine to hold BULLETS.. They say they can ORDER.

A little light on on inventory right now for ammo and guns but that is everywhere right now. Nonetheless the staff on hand looked everywhere to make sure what I asked for was really not available. Weights and accessories are coming back too.

Great spot to find your favorite workout gear and supplies. Good selection of fishing rods and reels. Firearm counter guys are helpful and always point you in the right direction or correct parts you may need. Plenty of cooler, tent, and camping articles to choose from.

Great prices, I was helped doing the process of gun licensing and purchasing, and I was also pointed to training places, and recommended means of safe storage.

Horrible experience today. According to their website they price match and give you 5% off. Ive had coworkers get the price match on a pistol but they didnt today. I was trying to buy a firearm and they couldnt price match. They couldnt really explain why. It appeared the sales person and manager had no clue or explanation. First time I get bad customer service from there.

I purchased a 30 quart turkey fryer this past weekend in Laredo at this store ( I live in San Antonio) opened it up today and a few key parts were missing (gas regulator, turkey stand and lid handle). the package was obviously re-packaged. I commend you and your employees for the generous lack of oversight to your quality control procedures, thievery, and deceitful repackaging from your mischievous employees and supervisors that allowed this to happen. Good store for all things outdoors. I wanted to buy a shirt and they didnt have my size. I asked two employees for help since the store has signs that say if you cant find your color or size we will order it for you. The first employee just told me they didnt have it in stock in that store nor in the other store in town. I asked a second employee and he told me the same thing, and he also told me it was unavailable online, he told me to go and check at the store again in the next week. I decided to go the the other store anyway and they had 2 shirts my size in stock. I bought it in this other location. This store has good products, but some of their employees are lazy and incompetent.

There were limited sizes and colors of most options. Some of the brands they carry are the mens line only. Staff was helpful, but ended up not finding what I was looking for.
