I had an excellent experience with all of the staff at Sunray Marine during my recent trade-in and new Avenger purchase. They offered me a great deal on my trade-in and gave me a great price on the new purchase. All of the accessories (trolling motor, GPS, Powerpole, etc) that I purchased to put on the new Avenger was reasonably priced and they did a nice-looking, professional install. I went to trade in my bayliner sport because of an issue with my motor or so I thought. John told me it didnt sound like it was the end of it and bring it in.Their service department diagnosed a bad impeller and water pump and bad alarm and fixed it at a fair price. My point is they couldve probably told me it was a bad motor and yes absolutely trade it in like a car sales man but they didnt. They lost a sale but earned a customer the right way!

No other Marine dealer does more for the community or Veterans! Very few places deserve your business the way Sunray Marine does. Their service department is top notch and the sales force are very knowledgeable and honest. I couldnt recommend them higher!

Honestly they are friendly people but they just tell you what you want to hear . Bill was supposed to call me and my wife back we have over 30k to put down for a boat with a 710 credit and we keep calling and ken keeps taking our number down and says bill will call back never met nice liars before but I guess they must be so busy they don’t care for our business . It’s literally over two weeks of us calling to reach bill and he’s always in a meeting and always suppose to call us back but I guess he’s stuck in his meeting still 😊

I really like these guys! So hard to get great marine service in a timely manner, but Sunray always comes through! I just have a little Boston Whaler with a Honda outboard, and they service it perfectly. I wish they had dockside service for my big boat, Id use them in a heartbeat!

Sunray installed a new Stryker GS900 T-Top, Electronics Box, updated the electrical system from fuse to circuit breakers, installed a new SIMRAD GO7, a new stereo system, refurbished the fiberglass and gelcoat, and detailed my 2006 Key West 2300SS Bluewater fishing boat. It now looks like it just came off the showroom floor. Doug (Service Manger) kept me informed and achieved every commitment made to me regarding quality of work, schedule, and price. Sunray’s Rigger (LJ) did a meticulous job (both electrical and mechanical) that would be expected in aircraft and military equipment. Highly recommend Sunray - Picked up a used Pioneer last weekend, love the boat and the people at Sunray. I could not have asked for a better experience while purchasing and after. I am embarrassed to say I was out on the water yesterday and did not pay attention to my batteries while playing the radio at the sand bar...yes, yes, I know. After no luck getting someone to help out I called Bill at Sunray. Luckily, they had a boat going for a sea trial and went out of the way to bring by a battery jump box to get me going. I know they cant do this all the time, but still shows you how they stand behind their customers. Thank You!

Great group of guys. Picked up a new Sea Pro 219 in May. Just had it in for a 20 hours service and could not have been happier with the attention to detail and turn around time. It is easy to earn a 5 star rating when everything is new and perfect. That being said this is not how they earned my rating. There were some issues prior to taking delivery of a brand new boat that strictly had to do with the manufacturer. They bent over backwards to keep my business. Ken Robertson and the owners of this establishment kept their promises to me. Given the situation and result they earned every star from me!

I bought a sea pro 208 with a 175 Suzuki in April 2018 Ken the salesman was very personable and professional. He even called me back with answers to my many questions on his days off. The service department was awesome as well. I brought it in for its 20 hr. service and they did a great job. I had a minor issue with the trailer and they went above and beyond to make sure it was better than new. Walter was great. This is by far the worst dealer I have ever encountered when buying a boat. I found the boat at the St Pete boat show and the sales associate was good salesman at that point. After the sale of the boat it has been a complete nightmare. The owner has not been helpful either. I have had issues with the paint no help from them. I have and still have issues with fading of paint and have contacted the Manufacturer Pioneer and got now where with them either. This has been a nightmare of a experience for me. Keep yourself from having the same thing happen to you. DO NOT buy a boat from this dealer. 8 months later I cannot even get a phone call back from the service dept. Pathetic if you ask me, I cannot believe they are still in business.

Arranged with Art to bring my 2015 Bay Sport in for a 100 hour service. Service was done and both Art and Walter were professional, helpful and friendly. Tech discovered a problem with my tilt and trim and Art worked with Suzuki to not only repair but get authorization for a complete system replacement. Recently bought brand new boat here..unfortunately...promised several times full tank of gas detail with purchase...didnt get either. However Michelle and Art are a saving grace here. Had something in the contract, we did not initially recieve and she took care of it right away without incident. The owner did call from his vacation to apologize. The boat itself is awesome. I would deal with Michelle if you can, just get everything in writing before you pay. thanks

BEWARE!! I bought a Sea Pro boat from them last year in July. Had many electrical and plumbing issues, I fixed myself. Not Sunrays problem but Sea Pros. But heres my issue with Sunray. I brought it in for gel coat cracking and some rust concerns on 6/17/19. I called to check status of repair 2 weeks later, and was told gel coat guy was ill. I called a week later and was told someone would get back to me. They didnt, so I left a message explaining that no one called me and I was really missing my boat after 4 weeks. Still no call. So today I showed up to to grab my boat and a customer of theirs was extremely upset with them because of the same issues with his 2 month old Sea Pro and misleading pricing from Sunrays staff.In my mind comunication is key. If they returned my phone calls, I could of worked something out. Such as taking boat and returning on a repair day, but I was ignored instead. I believe Sea Pro is not living up to quality they advertise, and there for dealers are going to have there hands full with these problems new boats shouldnt have.

If I could leave these guys six stars, I would. I had a small budget for an old used boat, no experience, and expected wherever I went to not want to talk to me, try to sell me a boat that was a multiple of what I had to spend, or sell me something that was in rough shape and would be costly to own. Sunray Marine was the first dealership that I went to and I ended up purchasing the very first boat that I looked at. I didnt buy it that day and I felt absolutely no pressure from the sales manager. I spent days going to several other dealerships and got the exact treatment that I had initially expected. I returned to Sunray Marine and purchased the boat. I have since put over 40 hours on it and I absolutely love it. The post purchase support has been wonderful as well.

This place sucks! Had my boat for 2 weeks and didnt touch it. I brought it in for warranty and maintenance work, also wanted a trolling motor mounted. They did nothing. They have bad customer service and Art could care less about customers or making money for the company. Total waste of time and effort. They dont even deserve one star.

My husband and I purchased our first boat from Sunray Marine and couldnt be happier with our experience! From the moment we went to Sunray, everyone has been extremely helpful in making our boat buying experience one of a kind. We love our new Pioneer bayboat and have already caught a boat load of fish since we took delivery a couple weeks ago! We had one tiny problem, if you even want to call it a problem, but we had a tiny scratch in the pretty paint. The manager called us and told us to bring the boat in and they buffed it out in minutes, no questions asked! Im not quite sure why there are bad reviews on here, but I guess people like to complain more than they like to commend. All in all, I would recommend Sunray to anyone looking for a new boat. These guys are the best!

Had our boat serviced and new batteries put in. When we picked our boat up our garmin 541 wouldnt turn on. It worked fine when we took it in. So the mechanics went all out jumped in and fixed it. Didnt charge anything. I was very impressed. Thank you Sunray Marina

Had a great experience with Sunray Marine. Was shopping for a 115 Merc 4-stroke and they were hands down the best price I could find in the state. Gave a deposit and motor was there within a week. They performed the initial check, bleed the fuel system and gave me some tubing for a water pressure gauge at no additional charge. I strongly recommend you try them first before you try any other places. Especially the Stuperstore. Great communication, customer service and price.

Sun Ray has always taken the best care of our new Berkshire Tri Toon 250CL. From the great service department to the awesome sales team we have always had a great experience. The boat is awesome and performed just as we were told it would. Everyone we have on board rave about the space and comfort. I really enjoy watching the faces of the center console guys when we go scootin past them on the water. The Mercury 250 is very quiet even at speeds of 40+ We also offshore fish, 12-15 miles out, from the boat and have plenty of room to move around and she handles the water better than our Sea Ray ever did. We can fun up and down the gulf or intercostal all day and use half the fuel our V hull used. 3200 rpm, 23mph seems to be the best cruising speed for optimum performance fuel usage and comfort. The power assist steering is almost like autopilot the boat just tracks along not wavering back and forth like a v hull. We could not be happier. The boat also tows pretty easily on the interstate or city streets.

I have had nothing but a fantastic experience. Michelle and Art have both be great to me.

Ive done business with Sunray on Ulmerton, Rd Since my uncle and I purchased our then new 2007 Sea Chaser Bay Runner with 250 Suzuki and Continental Trailer. I can say nothing but good things about the Service that Ive received throughout my relationship with this Dealer. Joe in the Service Department is the Best. I dont think I would have owned this boat for as long as I have if it wasnt for the great service that Ive received from this Company. Like any relationship its a two way street. youre going to have good and not so good things happen while owning a boat, so it takes cooperation between the owner and the dealer. you cant blame the dealer for being stupid, but you also need to let them know that you appreciate it when they help, when you need them most. Nothing but good things to say about Sunray Marine in Largo they treat me with respect even when I made a bone headed mistake. you may save a few dollars going somewhere else but in the long run the place you purchased your boat should be the place where you take it in for service.

Purchased a 2015 epic boat over a year ago from them. Have had issues with the boat from day one, which is not the dealers fault. But what makes sunray a terrible dealer is the fact that Ive been trying to get warrenty work done through them and have not even had a phone call back from them. I have several emails saved that we never got a reply from them. The owner Paul even gave us his personal cell phone and we have left several phone calls with him and again no reply at all. Please do your research from purchasing a boat from sunray marine, sounds like Im not the only one with issues with their lack of costomer service.

I bought a brand new Pioneer 197 Sportfish with a Yamaha 150 4 stroke from here. The sales part of the transaction was alright.I have owned my boat for 13 months now and I have had to take it in, going on my 4th time now for the same two problems. Problem one being after I take the boat out offshore a few times I start to lose power and RPMs, losing up to 3000 RPMs and not being able to get on a plane WOT. Every time I take it in they blame the fuel. I put non-ethanol fuel in the boat, have a good fuel/water separator, with a drain reservoir and I have drained fuel myself to see if there is any separation, which there is not. I also attempt to take my boat out several times a month, in which the boat never sits for very long. Regardless of this they continue to blame the fuel without actually finding and fixing a real problem.Second problem is the lights on the trailer never work. So I take it in, they fix the lights, and after I dunk the trailer a few times the lights stop working. So I finally unscrewed all the wires and looked for myself. All the grounds were corroded and rusted badly, which tells me they took very little time and effort to fix the problem. Which leads me to believe they are treating my Yamaha 150 the same way.I take very good care of all my equipment, boat and trailer. I clean and wash the trailer/boat very thoroughly, and usually flush the engine for 15 minutes.Every time I have taken my boat in it usually sits in the shop for over a month.I would not recommend purchasing your boat from here. The customer service is poor, as is the service department. Until they actually take the time to fix my boat properly I will continue to have a resentment for this dealership, and I will certainly not purchase another boat from here.

I brought my boat into sunray for a diagnostic review on my motor. I was told by Justin my boat was out of gas, Now knowing i just put 25 gallons of gas and only drove it for 30 miin something just didn`t add up. So i questioned him about it and was yelled at and told if i didn`t like what he was telling me to come pick up my boat. Not good customer service Justin.
