This is how a business should be run. Saturday morning at the boat ramp, the Rude would tilt down, but not up. So what do you do with your used new boat and know idea who to take it to for repairs? Research. Showed up at 8:30 to unhook fully expecting to leave it for a month. Bob walked out, asked what was wrong, and said, Just a relay switch. I can do it this morning if you dont mind waiting. In between pickups and dropoffs, Bob replaced the relay switch, got me the correct kill switch, and re-spliced my trolling motor wires. Paid up and Bob asked, Ever seen a diagnostic? Went out and ran the report and said, You got a deal. This boat has been under-utilized. Told me what to be watch for with the motor in the future. Bob and Kendra are good folks. I found a repair shop I can trust and use. Thank you, Bob & Kendra!!!
Kendra is the best. They run a very good place that take care of its customers there. This is a Yamaha dealership, i went there to buy an outboard for my small boat and was guided and versed in the subject, even though i ended not buying it
My son ordered a part from the parts department and was given 2 options for for next day delivery, $77 for morning delivery or $10 for anytime next day. Part didn’t arrive on the next day, so he called to get a refund of his $10 dollar. The incompetent parts representative told my son that it was UPS’ problem and to contact them. After contacting UPS they referred him back to Suncoast to resolve the issue since they had told him it would arrive the next. He then called Suncoast back and was told it wasn’t their responsibility. He asked to speak to a manager and was given someone, who claimed to be the owner. In my opinion, the most dishonest and disrespectful business owner that I’ve ever had the dishonor to speak with. As an owner of multiple boats, I can assure you that I would never do business with nor would I recommend this business to any of my boat owner friends. They should be ashamed of cheating a minor out of his hard earned money. I fully expect the rude and unprofessional owner to dispute this review, and not do the right thing because that is apparently who she is down to the core. A dishonest cheat that only cares about making money and not about taking care of customers or doing what right! Customers beware!!!
Suncoast Marine Center always makes things easy. I recently ordered a prop from them that I had tried to find at another local place first...after several delays I call Suncoast. They were much faster and called me the day it arrived. Thanks for being a great local resource for supplies.

This use to be my go to place for parts and service for many years for me and for family. I am now officially done with them. They dont care about customer anymore. 0% Im not sure if they got bought out or what, but they dont call you back when you order parts and no one seems to care on the phone. Ive tried to order parts 5 times and was promised a call back and never a return call. Ridiculous! Im a long client that has had my boat serviced there and spent thousands in parts and in service. On to finding a new dealer.
Suncoast marine is great. Brought my boat in September 30 got back December 13th was hoping the 2 month time estimation would have been correct but worth the time because everything done correctly, checked and double checked. Rebuild of transom, adding of livewell, 100 hour motor maintenance, whole boat check for safety. The service team was outstanding always there to answer questions any time I asked. Suncoast Marine is top shelf for service. Theses folks really know what they’re doing. They’re not low budget shade tree mechanics, but you do get what you pay for and you’ll get the work done correctly. Excellent company.

I am a newer customer but I am writing this because I have been very happy with my service. Brooke is the main person I have been dealing with and she is extremely helpful. I like to work on my boat myself, I enjoy it, but if I get in over my head I will gladly take it for repair to Suncoast. I have had nothing but support on parts, things to look for while doing a repair and even a mechanic who also gave me a few pointers. The main thing I would want people reading this to know is that they have always treated me with respect as a DIY boater without being condescending. Please note they service all makes and models of marine engines and also sell brand new ones.

These are extremely hard working people. Bob even takes the time to call after business hours to keep you up to date. There work is impeccable. Most important they are honest. The final bill was half the estimate because they realized the labor and parts weren’t going to be as high as originally thought. And they found out my brand new motor wasn’t even registered yet and got me the longer warranty.

Outstanding customer service. After placing an order online through BRP Evinrude directly my part was sourced to Suncoast as they had stick of this item. Due to my part missing the UPS truck James and staff took the initiative to make contact with meimmediately knowing I am a guide and realizing each day off the water costs me money and actually hand delivered the part to me in Spring Hill. Dropped $2k+ for a repair for an engine. Got the boat back and the trim stopped working. Took it back to have them take a look and was told they wouldn’t look at it for 3 weeks. Horrible customer service after the fact. Fix probably would have taken 15 minutes.
Bob Burke and Gene Lewis are professional and beyond helpful. I could not give the star rating enough stars. They are the best in the business, and I should know, I operate a similar business in another area. It is not a matter of your being satisfied, its more of how amazing these people are in their industry. I strongly recommend you use their services.

We brought our boat in for a repower and essentially got a brand new (old) boat back! We worked with Keith from start to finish. Everyone from the mechanics in the shop to the help in the front of the store were outstanding. If you are looking for honest work at a fair price, this is your shop. Not a great experience. I waited three weeks for an appointment, four days of requesting an update and/or a return call, with no response. I went to the shop on day 4 to see what had been accomplished to repair my motor. The service manager was defensive when he should have been apologetic, it was obvious they hadnt looked at my engine as he had nothing to report. He said his head mechanic was out of the shop, but would be back within the hour and I would have an update by days end. I decided to wait ... after three hours of waiting with my boat in plain sight, nothing more was done to the boat that I witnessed. I paid a $250 inspection fee and left with my boat. Suncoast did a great job of getting me into the shop, and confirming the appointment ... but I would certainly never return or recommend.
Old establishment. Open Saturdays if you need parts and accessories. Typically they keep parts instock to maintain your old Johnson and Evinrude outboards. If diy type. Service department is highly skilled mechanics. I have dealt with them for twenty years. Best place for bulk oil. Bring your Evinrude container to swap for a refill.

These guys are great! Took my boat in for repair. They did all around check of my whole boat. Sent me very nice detailed report on what was needed. Took it out last night ran like a top. These guys are my new best friends
Keith and his guys were great, the entire staff was helpful, courteous, and friendly. My issue with Suncoast Marine happened when I went to pay the bill. The bill included $3.75 worth of shop supplies. Normally, I am accustomed to service repair shops splitting the items between taxable and non-taxable and then only applying the sales tax to the taxable items. I was a bit surprised to find that the service portion was also being taxed. When I brought this up to Keith, he was understanding but said there was nothing he could do. He introduced me to the owner who stood behind this billing practice and told me that I wasn’t the first person to point this out to him. Then he bolted out to the yard to stop the guy who was hooking up my boat trailer until the “bill was paid in full.” I had no intention of trying to skip out on his bill. So sad, because otherwise, I would have gladly given these guys a much better review. I hope anyone who is considering having work done at Suncoast Marine Center reads this post and considers these billing practices, it can get expensive.

I took the family camping this week and brought along the pontoon boat. Well needless to say our picture perfect vacation came to a holt the 2nd day in. Dead in the water as they would say. I googled mobile boat mechanics in the area and went down the list. I was finally given the number for this place. So as i sat in the truck with my 5 young children, not understanding the situation, i began to explain to Brooke what was going on. Her eagerness to help and knowledge of boats is what sets this company apart from their competitors. I ended up driving to their store and had Gene(a master mechanic) do a quick diagnosis and told me what to fix. They sold me the parts and in less than 30 minutes i had the boat working again. We ended up boating all week without any issues. Thanks to their expertise, i was able to enjoy our family vacation. If Google allowed you to add an extra star for going the extra mile this business would get it. Thank yall from the bottom of my heart.

The one on one customer service is fantastic, they will explain in detail how to prevent common issues and what maintenance is required for the engine you currently own, if you want to Re-power your current vessel or are looking to get into a brand new Evinrude or Yamaha, this is the place to come, with over 20 years of experience this group knows their product and stands behind their work! They will create a custom setup for your new rig if you need it and can also recommend which engine would perform best with what hull. Not sure the prop you have is getting you the most bang for your buck, come in and try out one of their test props and get the most from your current engine. - If you have been unhappy with service at other dealers stop by and give this place a try, you wont be disappointed! - The Dunn Family
My first impression was that these folks really have their stuff together. The showroom is beautiful with lots of engines to see, and the shop is enormous. The people were very friendly and seemed eager to answer all my questions.
Bob is the BEST! we had a problem that his shop wasnt able to fix, but he was able to connect us with someone great that helped us out. Going that extra step makes such a big difference, we own two boats and havent needed any servicing yet, but I would highly recommend and use Suncoast Marine.

Where do I begin... They could have invented the outboard motor, and Id have no idea. I got run around after run around. All I wanted was my PowerPole installed. Got a quote for $300 for them to do it, and Keith said they were scheduling a week/ week and a half out and that no one was in the front office to schedule it and hed have someone call me the next day. So by the end of day with no call, I called them. I was told Keith was already gone, but he would send him a note. So I had to go out of town and am back today...2 weeks from the last call with no call back. I called today; No Keiths not here. I told the guy the story and was told...Well, we have 35 boats in the shop ahead of you... No Sorry, we didnt follow up; hey lets see what we can do...nothing.I specifically contacted them because their ratings were so high. Mustve been the way I was cordial on the phone by saying yes sir/ no sir to his questions that decided I wasnt worth remembering. Guess they showed me.Like I said; you couldve invented the outboard motor, doesnt mean your front office couldnt learn a few things about customer service.

My experience w/ Suncoast Marine Center was outstanding. Had my boat in for gearcase work on my E-Tec as well as a re-wire of the entire vessel. They went over the entire vessel, presented an overall condition report, fixed my gear case and the re-wire was better than I have seen from other newly rewired boats from other shops. Every bare metal terminal in the new wiring system was preserved. Money well spent.

Asked to check gas tank when getting a new motor. when I went back I had no gas in my tank. change mind on motor would not replace gas or pay for stolen gas be careful when dealing with will screw if given a chance
Running from Goodland to Marathon, one motor “stopped” 30 miles away from the dock. We limped in and I called at 4:55 Friday afternoon. Bob and the crew helped me diganous it over the phone with pictures, that I spun a hub. They called around shops and contacts in the Keys for me for a replacement prop with no luck on Saturday with no luck. They then overnighted me a loaner set of props so we could be back on the boat Sunday morning. Kendra actually called me Sunday morning letting me know they’ve been tracking the package and it arrived. Bob got on the phone when I was replacing the props to ensure they were correct. All that after only two annual services my boat! They have me for life

This place goes above and beyond for honest customer service...Called Suncoast Marine about an issue I had with my outboard. Was told service department was busy but if I leave my number someone will definitely get back to me. Now I’ll admit I honestly didn’t think I’d get a call back, my past experience with other shops was I’d have to call back myself but was I ever wrong...Keith called me back and it wasn’t one of those calls where he’s busy doing other things and he just going down the list oh nooo. My guess is he was sitting at his desk so he could better give me all his attention. He asked me about my issue I was having and then we began to discuss it. It was probably a 45 min convo, he was polite, helpful, honest and even asked me to email him pictures of my powerhead. He eventually recommended how I could save myself some money if i could remove my powerhead myself. He then referred me to a machinist that would be able to take care of my issue if i could bring my powerhead to him. I contacted this machinist but had no luck in getting a call back. I was aggravated, emailed Keith about not being able to get a hold of machinist. He then replied with 15 mins and referred me to Clearwater Cylinder. They knocked my issue out within a couple days and I got my powerhead back. I couldn’t be happier!!!!I’ve never meet Keith, I’ve never even been to Suncoast Marine but if your looking for an honest marine shop that actually cares about your issue and is looking to actually help you and not take advantage and take your hard earned money I highly recommend Suncoast Marine!!! Smart, polite honest marine techs are hard to find. Keith is definitely a rare breed... 💯💯

I just got a new Yamaha 250 outboard engine for my Prolene 24 feet boat,at first I was somewhat nervous as this was the first time I repower,( its a very expensive investment) a boat, after a couple of meetings with Keith Skutley, I new I was in the right place to do business and I would be taken care in the best professional way. The work was impeccable, the boat pick up and delivery was on time and everything was Perfect. I wouldnt hesitate for a minute to recommend their services.

I had Suncoast install a new Evinrude ETEC G2 on my boat. These guys did a fantastic job and even dealt with my abundance of questions as it was my first time through a repower. Keith walked me through the process which was quick and easy. On delivery Keith walked me through all the processes, electronics, techniques, you name it very patiently. The install is very clean and the engine riggers there seem to really know what they are doing.

I was having a problem with my 2001 Evinrude 225 HP motor. I had taken it to two other shops closer to were I was staying with no results. I called here and made an appointment to get it looked at and see if they could diagnose what was wrong with it. They found the problem, and fixed it ! My Bass boat didnt run this good when it was Brand New !! I cant recommend these guys enough ! THANKS Bob and Gene and the rest of his guys for all there help. If you own a Evinrude or Yamaha these are the guys to bring it too. John.

Where do I start!? I impulsively bought the Titanic of pontoon boats off of Craigslist like the moron I am. Keith and his crew of honorsble marine assassins diagnosed that my purchase wasnt exactly water tight. Rather then just roll me into a repower they diagnosed all issues, and truthfully came to me heart in hands stating that theyd love to sell me a motor but that they just couldnt for that boat in good faith. Ladies and germs this is truly a remarkable thing in 2016. Keith truly cares. they provided me with proper written estimates, kept in perfect communication at all times and were really just good friendly professional individuals. I ended up returning the vessel to the crook from Craigslist and never went thru with the repower. But the honesty and integrity of Keith and his crew will keep me forever singing their praises. My 96 even rude 150 is leaking gas out of the carb so i showed them a picture of were it was leaking and the mechanic explained to me how to replace my float bowl and he also explained the best way to do it and how to do it, they also had the part in stock, he told me i could just use nail polish to temporarily plug the hole, so this place is good,
