They have good selection. Prices are OK. But the thing that left me unsatisfied was the rude cashier that basically said “next time you should read before you press the green button because we charge 40 cents extra to use credit cards.” Like I was supposed to know that.

A quaint and fun place to peruse the shelves and discover something new. Had a fun chat with the cashier even if I didnt end up buying anything for myself.

Awesome store. Picked up some Spawn issues I’d been tracking down.Has a great collection of comics and action figures.Some of the figures on display weren’t in the best shape and priced way too high for what they are actually worth.It’s an awesome store, just asking too much for certain items if the person looking is informed.

I love this place with a passion. The employees are always welcoming and knowledgeable, they never try to upsell, and they are happy to order anything that they dont have on hand. Zane and Hiro are amazing sales staff. They give great recommendations when asked, and I never feel pressured or coerced.

My favorite game store, a wide selection of comics and helpful staff! Always have enjoyed going and if they dont have a book availible they are always willing to look up to see ordering one is an option!not a wide manga selection in store but We order can order our manga here!

This is a great comic and toy shop. This is only one of their 3 locations as well. Ive been to all 3 and my experience is the same at every single 1. Knowledgeable friendly fun staff and a great selection of everything you would need from comics to toys to games. I love coming to the shop and just looking around at what they have. Ill always find new gems every time I come. I cant recommend them enough! I will definitely be back time and time again.

FYI: they close at 7pm not 8pmWe got there at 6:30pm and the door was locked, even though the lights were on and there was an associatebehind the counter. After standing there for 10 min the associate finally came to the door asking what we wanted, he wasnt going to let us into the store if we were coming to browse. Apparently a live steam is more important than letting paying customers come into the the store.I shall not be returning due to this experience.

Its been a few months since Ive visited this location so I thought I would come in and see whats new. Normally the staff has been very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, today was an entirely different story. I was greeted upon entering (so far so good) and a few minutes of browsing I asked if there were more of a particular set of figures. I was meet with what seemed like hostility and apathy. He said, what you see out is what I have. I pushed further, what about other locations. He then said to the effect of I dont have access to that information and I should message the FB page or email the company to see if there were more of this series in stock. I was taken aback for sure as I have had several interactions were the would call the other locations in order to find what Im looking for. I understand that sometime people have bad days and I hope that today was just such an anomaly, but in these uncertain times business cant afford to take too many steps back.

Felt a bad vibe there, with the person that was there at the time towards me, not to sure if it was because I am Hispanic and had an LA hat on, from which am very proud of, perhaps to the Caucasian community its the best place but i felt very unwelcomed there. Just saying this because I can read people very well with the type of job I do for a living.And for your info, we are the MAJORITY NOT THE minority..... facts......end of conversation..........

Very friendly and accommodating staff as well as a great store to get your nerd on. Plenty of selection of comic books, a little too much for me, D&D stuff as well as some other games. A serious lack of D&D figurines but the lady behind the counter was very helpful in getting it from their other store by the next day.

This place has incredibly good service. I usually buy MtG cards online, or wherever I can find them the cheapest, but I prioritize this place now. Whenever they dont have the cards I asked for, instead of sending me away, they help me rebuild my deck so I dont need it. Im not the most familiar with the game, so this is incredibly helpful.

The Ogden store is my go-to comic book shop, but I have stopped at this one a handful of times. They had a lot of cool comic books and collectible action figures. The staff there were very polite and helpful. I felt well taken care of!

Fosters a good community. This was the first shop I started going to for my geeky needs and their quality of service is what kept me coming back. Their staff is usually knowledgeable enough to give some good insight on things, especially when it comes to mtg.

BUYER BEWARE:Decide before you go in how much above market you are willing to pay for what a card/product is worth.Business are free to charge what they wish, and marking up prices is an easy way to make money off of less experienced players.Know what a card is worth, know what youre willing to pay, and know what less expensive options are available to you.Not all treatment from staff is terrible, it really does vary depending on who is behind the counter. Ive had some pleasant experiences here, but the service and treatment suffered from the owner is disappointing.Ive had friends decks stolen at this location, and very little was done.Issue was approached with a condescending Sucks to suck smirking attitude from the owner.Its just unfortunate.

Love this game store. Ive only bought Magic cards from here. They have plenty of those. The people are awesome. The folks there took the time to explain everything to me and answer every question. Its fun just going there. They also have Magic tournaments. Just ask them or follow on the FB page.

We bought an expansion to a game from this store that we were really excited about. However after opening it and reading the rules of the game we realized that it was the third expansion and we needed the second expansion to play it(which we didn’t have). So we brought the game back to the store with the receipt to exchange it for what we needed. They would not refund our money or give us any store credit because the plastic on the box had been taken off. Nothing inside the box had been taken out of its original packaging. The game is useless to us and we are just out the money we spent. When we tried to return the game (not when we purchased)we were told all sales are final. I understand that this is your policy and that is fine. But if you won’t exchange/refund people because the shrink wrap is taken off the outside of the box and nothing else then everyone else is better off getting these things from Amazon. The prices are the same and they have much better customer service when it comes to problems with products and returns. I like the selection of games this store has and most of the employees are good. However, I will not shop here again and will suggest the same to anyone who asks.

I enjoy coming to this place to buy card sleeves and stuff for magic. My recent visit however there was a guy behind the counter and greeted me. I asked him where the card sleeves were and he explained they got new shelves and were currently putting them back and I was OK with that. However I walked up to him again a few minutes later and asked him where the card protector boxes were. He must have misunderstood me and got frustrated at me telling me he just told me. After that I just left. Will I come back? Yes, as long as that guy is not behind the counter...

Awesome store! I come by at least once a month to check out new comics, and the staff are always very kind and engaging. Some of the best books in my collection have been recommendations from the staff. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Layton Heebeegeebeez to a friend!

People there are super helpful unfortunately didnt have what I was looking for but I will be back if I ever have a game need again... most likely will!

It has recently come to my attention that this store is currently still in operation, which defies all logic and reason. Under no circumstances would I ever recommend a friend of mine to ever step into this store. I attended this location and only this location once and will never attend it again.I went there to play a two headed giant tournament on a Sunday (Sunday events are fairly uncommon for this region). The tournament started 2 hours late, while we waited for the owner to show up to play. There were more employees than customers in the event, and it was drastically over priced and abysmal prize support. I should have guessed as much, because people there didnt play in favor of playing some legacy with proxies, even talking about how ridiculous the prices are at this store.I have never had a worse experience at a store in my life. When I left there I felt like the store would be closed in a week and turn into a Subway or something that provides more value to the customer. I had to leave after round one because it was almost my kids bedtime, which I thankfully left at home or I might have been accused of being a bad father like the other customers who posted here.

Jon with this company went out of his way to try and help me find some Pokemon cards that I am looking for to expand my collection. He has been very respectful with excellent customer service. I would recommend Heebeegeebeez highly for a great experience.

They have a great selection of comics and vintage toys. The store was very well maintained and clean when I visited on 7/14/18. The employee working at the time was friendly and helpful.

Dont ever come here!! This was our first visit today and they are 30 minutes late opening the store they have a restroom however when I went to go use the restroom the door is broken there was no toilet paper anyway or soap in the bathroom or paper towels the only guy that was there had to leave get toilet paper he took my husbands drivers license in order to leave the store as COLLATERAL this was my first visit and only visit I will NEVER come back!

You need any kinda comic book these kind folks will find it for you.They have a grs as the selection of new comics; but to me they have a crazy selection of silver and golden age comic books.The staff is super friendly and always happy to help you find that special comic book.Highly recommended!!

Ive been going to the Ogden and Layton stores off and on for the last several years. The staff have always been friendly and genuinely interested in helping newcomers and regulars alike.Staff was more than willing to patiently help and teach my 9 yr old son MTG and Heroclix on several different occasions. They were also sensitive to his age and recommended good age appropriate books and games to play.If youre looking for a good community and helpful, friendly staff/managers/owners, this is a great place to go.

Such a fun store and great knowledgeable staff. They didn’t have an item in stock but the team member tracked it down at another location and I was able to pick it up!

Not the worst but definitely not the best. Often I would see workers and sometimes the owners neglect people waiting to make purchases. Prices for magic cards are higher than other local places. The comic and figure selection is great and the events are okay.

My first visit: I called ahead to get a price on an Iconic Masters booster box and was told one price. When I got there they were rude and told me the box was really $25 more than quoted over the phone.My second (last) visit: I couldnt find a specific card at several game shops. I found it here but at a price around $5 more than other shops sell at. They also gave me terrible store credit for some premium cards I brought in.

This store sells MTG cards as well as comic books, but their inventory is small and the play area is also pretty small.

This place has helped create a lot of good memories, and I will continue to make more there! Be mindful, prices on Wizards of the Coast products seem higher than some other stores.

I first started going to heebeegeebeez a few years ago to pick up my first comic book, I love the Layton location for its selection and wonderful staff! The clerks have come to know me by name and are super friendly and helpful, they are also always on the look out for new things I might be interested in, I found a new favorite series off of recommendation from them. This store can seem small and out of the way but if you give it a chance you will make new friends and always be satisfied with wonderful product!

Pretty neat store. Im a like the occasional comic, and boy do they have a ton of stuff outside of DC and Marvel (a lot there too). Ive always gotten solid recommends from the two dudes Ive seen work the counter. Im a big magic and DND guy, which they have a ton of. I hate flipping through binders and they have their stuff all categorized and inventoried, so theres no wasting time searching for something that might not be there. Definitely love the place! Keep it up!

I came in looking for a playset of cards of which I didnt know the exact name, but I could describe the attributes. They found the cards under 30 seconds and were nice to deal with. I dont agree with the $5 minimum purchase, but I also understand the fees that come with operating a payment gateway credit card machine. I bought 2 dominaria booster packs to help support out a local business, and ended up pulling a mythic.

My friends and I walked in today for some D&D books. We didn’t know what we wanted, and needed to decide which module we wanted to play next. We stood in front of the book selection for less than two minutes, and had flipped through a total of 7 books between the three of us when the employee said, “Guys, I can’t just let you stand there and read the books.” I said out loud, “How do I know if I want to buy it if I can’t flip through it?” The employee gave no response. We immediately left, and drove the 20 min down to Bountiful Game Haven where we bought four books and several miniatures, and they were happy to have our business. This is the first and only time we have ever been to Heebeegeebeez. We usually go to End Zone in Clearfield, but they are closed on Sundays. Bottom line, we won’t be returning to Heebeegeebeez. Period.

To the guy who says that they charge $15 for a game of Magic, you dont know what youre talking about. I go up there weekly and dont have any problems with the employees. And to those who say that the regulars are annoying and rude, have you tried getting to know them? And you want to call them immature? Its a comic and game store! Do you want them dressed up in business attire? All in all, its a good place, the atmosphere is nice, not too competitive, and theres pizza next door. Win.

If there is an option to post for negative I would. The owner is a joke. Everything in the store is OVER PRICE! Some of the workers are a joke. If you like to be little by the (some) staffs an rip off go here. There is other places like Game Den or Game grid that is better price on MTG etc...

It has a great selection of comics and collectables (such as old action figures), but there are so two significant flaws. The staff have also been friendly both times I visited, but I subtracted one star for discrepancies regarding store policy. They carry Warhammer minis and books, and upon my first visit was told they could order anything from Games Workshop (the manufacturer) for 25% less than MSRP. When I went in the 2nd time to see about placing an order, I was told by a different employee that they hadnt heard anything about that discount and would have to ask the owner (when he came in on the weekend). I subtract another star for their overpricing. They have several Warhammer models for sale (both old and current) that are anywhere between $10-15 more than the going rate (including Games Workshops price). Even their Warhammer 40k codexes are $10 more than Games Workshops prices. It makes me wonder how overpriced the other merchandise is. Of course the business owner has a right to sell his inventory for whatever they like, but it certainly doesnt motivate customers to make a purchase.

Heebeegeebees is a down right cool store, lots of awesome collectors items I have never seen anywhere else! Their selection for Magic singles and sealed product is better than most local game stores I have been to. Joey, the guy behind the counter most days, is one of the nicest guys you will meet. The stores regulars are most definitely rowdy, emotional, fun loving, and above all great to get to know. Overall, it is a mix of all these things that keeps me coming back to Heebs day after day! Keep up the good work guys!
