First-timer ... When I first entered at 7:15am I found the atmosphere kind of cold and the music was loud making it difficult to concentrate, despite earbuds and the stream I was watching. I paid $14 for a yogurt parfait and an extra caffeinated Wake Up Call - $$$. On the plus side, I found the staff welcoming and friendly.
I had the honeycomb Frappuccino, it would the bet coffee drink Ive had. Light honey taste with vanilla, got to the bottom and it wasnt all ice that was hard to finish. The staff was very personable and it a nice atmosphere. Hope to stop again next time Im in the area.
Had an iced latte not too long ago and it was INCREDIBLE. Not too sweet, not too bitter, could definitely taste the coffee (in the best way!). I will definitely be going back the next time Im in the area!
Easily one of the top coffee places in Leawood area. The people are kind, place is well maintained and coffee is good. They have lots of options as well.
Hands down BEST coffee I’ve ever had. I’ve even taken the roasterie tour downtown and it was amazing! Best coffee to get is betty’s recipe. Best latte is the honeycomb.
Friendly staff, easy parking and awesome coffee to go.Love the cold brew.
I think it was a bad day.Couldnt distinguish what the coffee s even were.
First time here, what took me so long....best coffee shop Ive ever been to in KC...And local....had a brooksider bob...yum like liquid minty chocolate mocha goodness....Ill be back....went for their be mine special release coffee got some Bettys too....LOVE THIS PLACE
Great coffe and friendly service
Liked the place, the coffee and the ambience
The service was terrible The guys behind the counter would look out the window while they were waiting on a customer they had no interest in customer service whatsoever
Great coffee, great place to work on the road.
Fantastic drinks and a nice, cozy place to hang out. I dont drink coffee so Ive only had tea and hot cocoa from here, but everything Ive tried has been excellent. Their choices of pastries and snack items have also been great. Its usually busy but Ive always been able to find a table.Staff has always been friendly. I really enjoy coming here.
Free smells. All the drinks were great. Paper straws can cause issues though. Perhaps have your own reusable one.
Good coffee place to go study
A very polite staff with an abundance in coffee creations, and a series of sweet treats too!
Great coffee selection, seasonal flavors and assortment of baked goods, all really good, staff was good, witty and courteous even when crazy busy. Will be back again frequently.
I didnt like coffee before The Roasterie. Admittedly, I still only like the sweet drinks, like mochas (frozen, chilled, or hot) and London Fogs (which are tea, not coffee), but I cant stand anything thats too sweet. They strike the right balance with theirs. Aromatic and tasty as heck.I agree with comments on the layout; it could be better, although Im not entirely sure how with the structure they have to work with. Regardless, I make it a weekly treat for myself to pick up something on the way into work, or to sit and have a chat when possible.
Delicious!
Im a bit confused how the reviews are so glowing. The quality of the brew is the worst my wife and I have had. Its literally coffee water. We ordered multiple specials, such as the Brookside Bob, Crunched for Time and Flavored Lattee. There is no flavor at all to any of these. Did we just get a bad brew? This is the second time weve ordered and swore it off when our Cafe au Lait tasted bland as well. Something is not right because the reviews seem to be loving the place. We are avid coffee drinkers too and have tried all the places in the OP area, so I know its not our taste buds! Weve tried in-person and through delivery (Grubhub), so again, no idea. The hot chocolate was good...although it tasted like Swiss Miss :) . Sorry for the negative review - were just bewildered on it all!
Great coffee!
Absolutely fantastic Roasterie Cafe in Leawood! No complaints and they have Coke there!
I have a location near my house but I hadnt been to this one before. I found the layout was kind of cramped and didnt feel like there was a good place to stand to wait for my drink. I also think the menu was a little disorganized, and there were apparently some gluten free poptarts in the bakery case but nothing was labeled as gluten free, so that was a little frustrating. However, I do highly recommend the seasonal Blackberry Cobbler Latte - it was absolutely delicious. We also got a Rosemary Vanilla Latte, which also good but had more subtle flavors.
Love the coffee here!
The staff is great there, my kids love them. They are always nice and actually care about doing a good job. The coffee is excellent as well.
Had the best honey lavender iced latte in the midwest made by a friendly barista named Darrington! Keep up the fine work
Roasterie is good coffee. In Kansas City area, I havent found better coffee. Topekas Classic Bean is far more superior coffee than the Roasterie. The best coffee Ive ever had is Gravel City Roasters in Emporia, KS. The coffee there is well worth the drive. He starts w/great beans & the beans are to a light roast. That way youll taste the hints fruit, caramel & chocolate that coffee beans naturally have. Most roaster over roast their beans.
Great staff and atmosphere.
I was able to sample the cold brew selection and the Nitro stood out as my favorite. It was smooth and got me going (every coffee drinker knows when that we build a high tolerance for these things). Im excited to try out their new flavors. They always seem to have something new every single time I pop in.
Just like the old days, except the social distancing, as always the BROOKSIDE BOB, was a winner
What a let down. The barista knows absolutely Zilch about coffee. Recently over heard some people raving about the Betty coffee. When I asked the barista about it all she said it had a mocha in it.... Does this mean how its roasted, where its grown? She had no clue. We left.
What a great place to casually sit down inside or outside to have a cup a coffee. The atmosphere was great with so many coffee choices to order. I like you can buy different beans than whats available in the local stores, a little pricey although. We sampled some of the chocolates which were tasty, not cheap but they were very good. The coffee and service was excellent, so I went back the next day with friends and they also enjoyed the coffee.
Excellent coffee and staff. The baked goods are first rate and Christopher Elbow chocolates are great with a pour over. Highly recommend!
Decent cafe located in a good neighborhood. Visited by quite a lot of people during every hour of the day.Met a friend here for some catching up. Too loud to talk sometimes unlike most Starbucks. Their brewing machines have off the charts noise. Might wanna stick to Starbucks or B & N for longer chats or meetups.Overall good coffee. Quite a few choices. People are alright too. Good for a change from usual Starbucks.
Good coffee
Just the best
The Roasterie is in a convenient location in Brookside and has some decent drinks and food. The setup isnt the greatest, and the chairs arent as comfy as Id like since its an otherwise good place to work or hang out.
Darrington and Eric were awesome! Cool vibe, and I got a great drink.
Ok, I am a espresso nerd as a heads up. I ordered 2 single origin Ethiopian lattes. The shots sat for extended periods of time and the milk was frothed with less care than Starbucks. Espresso tasted under extracted with huge foamy bubble dumped on top...no thought of latte art entered their mind...dumped it in the cup and served. Sorry, I was excited about the real deal and was hugely disappointed
Just watch them prepare a pour over coffee and youll see just how seriously they take their work. They measure and weigh everything throughout the process and are happy to chat with you while you wait. They also have an awesome selection of high quality coffee. What more could you want?
Great place to have a cup of coffee or a tea, staff is friendly and the products offered are good quality. Having that said, as a frequent customer, I am very disapointed by the out door seating space - the tables wiggle(top and base) and it is a challenge to keep drinks from not spilling; often the tables and ground are dirty. Hopefully we will see a better maintenance of the outdoor space as we plan to keep visiting Roasterie.
I’ve been traveling in and out of Leawood for work this month (I live in Texas) and have stopped in for coffee and a muffin everyday I’ve been here. I keep coming back because the staff is always warm and welcoming and the coffee is excellent.
Best freaking coffee in Kansas City! Try their nutty Irishman, that is my favorite drink.
Great local coffee, fast service, good ambiance. Food options are limited, so its more of a coffee shop than cafe, but they do have Christopher Elbow chocolates!
Another great KC staple added to the Town Center area. Offers plenty of room to meet friends or get some work done. Their chai latte is one of the best made in town.
Great service, good coffee, great snacks. Toddler-friendly place to grab a coffee and quiche. Both baristas and patrons alike were super friendly. As an added bonus, you can people watch from the sidewalk. 😉
Great place to meet business associates, friends, or family. Really laid back, local atmosphere, and not a bunch of loud, snobs like Starbucks. Delicious drinks and great service.
The best air roasted, hand crafted perfection! The fact that they use shatto milk in their mochas is the best. Blackberry mocha is where its at!
Love the place, love the service and definitely love the coffee. Im a frequent customer there. I would recommend it to everyone.
I keep coming back for more mocha coffee. It is definitely the best in town .
Love, love, love their coffee. Staff could be a tad more friendly however, they were super busy. Still did a flawless job.
I love that this KC business supports other small business! Quality product and friendly staff too
Nice place to study. One of the only coffee shops to stay open late. (Past 8pm) like what Im used to in Texas.
Fantastic coffee. This place is a bit pricey since its in the most expensive part of town. But they are fantastic
Coffee is great. The Baristas are awesome. Fast service. Usually easy to find a table. Enjoyable
Great coffee, good location, prices are a little high, but overall very good. Especially the Nitro brew! Smooooth! Nice to have a local coffee shop serving great coffee.
The best pour-over Ive had in the Kansas City area so far. Sure... it was ~$6, but the Nepal reserve was simply amazing and the pour was spot on.
Cold brew growlers! Love the cold brew. Try the nitrogen infused.
Had a nice visit loved the guy that was singing and dancing behind the counter. Great drinks
Probably my favorite Kansas City based coffee. The Roasterie manages to make rich, tasty coffee without being bitter or overpowering. I have not tried many of their specialty drinks but their regular coffee with some milk and cream is absolutely delicious in my opinion.
Great for a quick coffee or a visit with friends. Its always nice to have an outdoor seating option.
Love that I can get Christopher Elbow chocolates here. Coffee is similar to Starbucks, but a few are even better.
Recently visited over the weekend. I am confused at the changes taking place as far as cleanliness and customer service. Dont get me wrong coffee is good but, this place has changed.
Best coffee in town. Love the Brookside Bob, minty chocolate flavor. Air roasting makes a difference and gives the coffee a mellow flavor. Andre chocolates featured too.
Delicious coffee. The place was packed full the day I was there, so they must be doing something right.
I love this place. Super friendly staff and a great Expresso.
They actually know how to make a real and good macchiato
One of the better coffee shops in Overland Park. Really great coffee and some tasty pastries. I recommend the cinnamon role.
Great customer service!
These are the best coffee shops in KC but I like the team at Leawood. They are friendly and make great drinks that get me through the work day!
Good place with good seating. They used to serve Mocha drink which is mixed with chocolate shatto milk which make it the yummiest drink ever.
Great smoothie! Did not receive good customer service. I walked in while the man at the register was having a conversation with a group that was seated. When I approached him I asked him how he was doing and I was ignored. He impatiently waited for me to decide on what I wanted to drink.
The best coffee in Kansas City! I love their Mocha, its made with Shatto chocolate milk. They are always fast and friendly. This is my go to coffee shop!
This was one of my favorite places to study in College. Great coffee and great snacks. They have tons of outlets and the Wi-Fi is good too.
Great coffee and quick snacks to go with it. A nice quiet place for working away from the office or a meeting.
Love their coffee. Delighted to find their shop welcoming and clean.
Nice place, clean, coffee is comparable to Starbucks, and like Starbucks I wasnt impressed with their lattes. Could use better toilet seats, they dont like to sit evenly on the toilet.
I was worried about finding coffee in the Overland Park area because Im picky about my coffee. This place was excellent for coffee. I didnt see much in the way of breakfast food but there are plenty of other places to get sandwiches. Their coffee just wont be as good.
Very smooth, low acidic coffee. Best coffee Ive had in a while!
Fresh baked cookies and really well made coffee. No complaints!!
Sullie is the best and Joes ight lol awesome place great coffee and best of all great service. Much appreciated guys!!
Many of u might remember my one time review at the roasterie ...Here’s the thing there’s a few employees who are absolute rockstars and one of them that just ruins the bunch. Management never reached out to me about my complaint when I was humiliated by a barista. In fact I deleted that post because the next time I came in he apologized and I was just happy to be able to tell him that he wasn’t being professional or nice. But hey I should’ve know better... bc after that when he was the only one working he put my name as “gay” and was smirking luckily he had me sign a receipt with proof he wrote that.
This place is a true 3rd wave coffee shop, probably the only one in a large radius (I can only think of Kaldis at 75th St). Good quality coffee, great and knowledgeable baristas, freshly roasted beans and exotic brewing equipments. I love how they set up the pastries from different pastry shops in a neat way, so you can either browse them all or go straight to the treats from your favorite baker.
Great coffee shop to go or to sit and talk. The atmosphere is excellent with plenty of room for conversation, study or business.
Fast Friendly and Good service. Coffee was also great.
The services is friendly but i like my coffee strong and added 6 shot still to weak for me
Ordered through the app, store never knew. Stood there for a while looking like a moron. Still good.
Love the iced coffee. The staff are super friendly and theres plenty of seating.
One of the best 8oz Almond Milk Cappuccinos & Lattes in Kansas City.
Quick service. Love the London fog.
Great coffee. Much better than must large chains.
Great coffee, great staff, good ambience, 4 stars because the seats are really uncomfortable.
Great service everyone was very helpful and welcoming!
MAreen is the best evrrrrr number 1 barista!!!!! Roasterie 4 lyfeeeeee
Love to come here. Great atmosphere, place to study and be with friends.
Good coffee, but the pastry case was nearly empty when I went.
Starbucks who???? Its all about the Roasterie. Delicious coffee, great atmosphere and great service!
