I foolishly ran out of diesel and was not able to prime the fuel while on my Minnesota to North Carolina trip. After getting me safely off the freeway (a huge relief just by itself!), I feel he went waaay above and beyond by sticking with me until the pickup was up and running properly again. Worth every single nickel and more, I would recommend this company to anyone - great service cannot be faked.

John J came and lifted the back tires of my RV out of a ditch at a campground so expertly without doing any damage - he was awesome. Besides being so professional and great at his job he was so very nice to work with.

I call on ITR almost daily for tows for my customers and help around our facility. I have done business with them throughout my 10 year career in the area and they are polite... professional...and as prompt as you can be in our industry. Their pricing is also competitive. I know that if I tell a customer to use them they will get good service and their trucks/livelihoods are in good hands.

We had a car towed by the city of Mt Juliet on Saturday evening. I called to see how much it would cost. They told me 225 on Monday Morning. So I went there Monday afternoon. I was then told it was now 287.59. I asked the guy how that was. He couldnt figure it out either so he called someone. They never could figure out those numbers. He got a hold of someone and then they said there was an administrative ree. How did an administrative fee come up all the sudden because it wasnt picked up by 2:30. This is the most outrageous thing Ive ever heard of. I finly paid 282.50 so I could get the car and go.

Called at 4:00am on a Saturday to get a truck unlocked with keys inside it. Matt answered right away and had someone out quickly to get it unlocked. Good to know there are companies like this to help when you need them.

My Semi broke down on West Main St. In Lebanon. Took an hour and half to get there would be my only complaint, but as a driver I realize you can only get there when you get there.Do not remember the drivers name, but he was polite and professional. He was hooked to my bobtail rig in 15 minutes and had me to the Pilot 15 minutes after that. Happy with his work sorry I didnt catch his name. 👍

My experience with this company was horrible. They were very rude with us and kept putting off when my car would be brought. Horrible service and whoever we talked to on the phone was very very rude with us. She kept hanging up and not wanting to talk to us. Told us she didnt have time for this and was just very bad. They may be very nice the others who work there but the people who handled our car wreck was awful to us.

My opinion of this company is that this company is a joke. They rip people off by not telling valuable information to consumers. I have advised others not to use this company for they did me wrong and did not handle the situation professionally. I also did a review online of my experience and i hope that others do the same if not completely satisfied. I made a mistake on calling this company. I regret that they made money off of my mistake. I am only accepting the response because BBB has taken too much time to get a resolution. It has taken almost 3 months to get an answer. Apparently just word of mouth works best.Stay away from business with this company.

Heavy Operator, Darron, came to the house this morning to tow the motor home from the driveway. If he went the extra mile, he went three extra miles to get it out of an extremely tight spot, at no extra charge either. There was an issue with the air brakes, but his ingenuity helped him plug into the air lines enough to release the brakes finally, as well as actually finding a point to hook it up, while in the driveway which was a job in itself. Hats off to my man Darron! Thanks for hard work!!

My son had a rollover crash on Stewarts Ferry Pike at 2:00 in the morning back in Aug. Independent towing is the company that retrieved my sons car after he was transported to the hospital (my son was ok after rolling his car about 3 times before it finally stopped). My son called me at 7:00 in the morning to pick him up from the ER, when we got back to his house we found out who had towed his car. My son and his roommate reached the tow lot before I did. (This was on a Sunday) The front door was open but there was no one in the office so my son called the number and someone answered and said that they would be there in about 15 minutes. When I arrived my son had already been there over 15 minutes and no one still had not showed up. My son was hungry so I told him I would wait there for someone to show up. Im looking through the gate trying to see all the damage to my sons car but its to far back I can not see much. Go walking around the building (which they are cameras everywhere) and finally a guy comes out of the front door. He informs us that we can not go look at the car that we would have to come back tomorrow when they are open. My son had requested just a few items from the car (the car was a total loss) the guy was super nice and retrieved all items my son had requested. Next day after my son got off of work he went to the lot to pay his tow bill and to let them know that they could just keep the car. They informed him that they did not want the car and he needed to take it with him. My son was going to get a trailer and get the car but they said he could not tow it off the lot his self. Another company could tow it off or they would tow it back to his house for him for an extra 80.00 (he had already paid for them to tow his car to the lot and then two day storage 300 and something dollars and now they want 80 more. So a total of 400 and something but he paid it all in full that day) so they said they would bring him his car in the morning because they were about to close for the day. My son had his roommate stay home and wait on them so she could tell them where to drop the car. Well they called him and told him that it would be the next day because they where so busy, this went on all week after he had already paid them in full!!! They FINALLY brought him his car that Friday. If someone pays you in full thats a customer you want to keep!!

Most unprofessional and dishonest company in my 10 years in the trucking industry. A semi truck trailer went off the the road and this company managed to cause double the damage to the trailer while trying to pull it out. Looks like chains were just slung around any part they could attach it to instead of properly using straps to not cause damage. The ICC bumper is completely mangled along with numerous spots on the frame from their aggressive tugging. The tractor had no damage and somehow they managed to rip off the passenger steps while pulling the trailer out. The owner of the towing company himself decided to then drive our equipment to his impound lot without authorization to operate our vehicle instead of towing the damaged trailer. The front axle of the trailer was not chained up correctly so all those tires were drug all the way to his facility and ruined. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!(update)Their response below is a standard response. I have reached out to them to correct this matter and the owner relayed a response that they were unable to pull the trailer out without damaging it and there is nothing they can do about it. Any professional towing company should have the expertise to extract damaged equipment without causing extensive further damage. If you cant do that then you should leave those jobs for the more experienced operators.

I had Broke down on 40 a week or so ago with a tractor trailer and I was told they would have someone with me as soon as possible. My wrecker arrived and the driver named James did an amazing job. He had me hooked up and ready to go within 30 mins. He was nice, courteous, professional and simply amazing.

We were in a wreck on Fathers day and had to have my vehicle towed. Kenny was friendly and very informative. I felt bad that he was called away from Family time but he was still upbeat and professional and friendly. Now we have to deal with the Insurance but so far this company is definitely a company we recommend!

Very rude people. Called the number by mistake and immediately hung up. Got an return call wanting to know why I hung up. Understandable. I explained and I had no use for a tow company and that I misdialed. The man said Well, be a f***** d*** about it and hung up. Rude.

Called for a tow truck because my girlfriend’s car wouldn’t start. John the tow truck driver chooses not to use the tow hooks or hook to the frame instead has the great idea to hook to the tie rod. The mechanic calls me and tells me it was just a dead battery however the tie rod needs to be replaced and they will need to do an alignment because the tow truck driver broke it. I call the office and they tell me the supervisor is going to the mechanic to look at it. They tell the mechanic they will pay for it but they wait hours before doing so. I cannot get my car until they pay so my girlfriend was out a day of work and I paid them $85 dollars to break her car. The supervisor she talked to didn’t seem to care at all and told her she is lucky they paid for it. I will be contacting the BBB on this place.

This company has hard working drivers. they are always helpful and respectful. the office may not be open 24/7, but the drivers are always on call. the respond within a reasonable amount of time. i would recommend them to anyone. Prices are reasonable. and trucks are clean.

Our engine seized up in lebanon. They were prompt in getting there and the driver Kenny, was polite and courteous and plesent to chat with. As a former wrecker driver myself, I would definently use them again when needed.

This business is not indeed a 24/7 towing business as their website advertises. This is false advertising.On 1/12, I called requesting a confirmation of this service for 01/13 and stated I would need to call them for a tow at 6:15 that next morning. I was told that while that was early, they would be able to accomodate me and in their words make it work.. However, upon calling on 01/13 at 6:15, I was told by a different person that their guys dont start work till after 7 a.m.While it is expected to have to wait for a tow truck over an hour, they shouldnt advertise availability for the work to be initiated 24/7.

Id review this company 0 stars if it were possible. They towed my wrecked vehicle and charged an outrageous $225 because the police were the ones to arrange the tow. I wouldnt have personally picked them but since I went straight to the hospital I had no choice. They then charged $35/day and when I was finally able to pick up on Saturday they said the office was closed Sat & Sun so I couldnt pick up, but I would still be charged the $35 each day whether they were opened or not. The staff is extremely hateful and the woman I spoke to at their Hwy. 109 location seemed to rejoice in the predicament I was in. Their plan is to make it too expensive to pick up your car when they can just salvage it themselves and make more money.

I was in a jam and they helped me out of it... the cost is what it is... they work for a living and the equipment isnt free.. i cant imagine how much they pay for insurance so, my bad on needing them but Im thankful they were there...

I was driving home from picking up my son from school and was already doing a few miles over the speed limit but obviously wasnt fast enough for one of the drivers from ITR who proceeded to fly past me and then cut me off almost hitting my car. I honked at the driver and he proceeded to role down his window and flipped me off and yelled something at me and which I could not make out. When I got home, I tried calling there to speak to a supervisor and whomever I spoke with (the person refused to give me their name) told me that maybe I was a bad driver and shouldnt be on the road. I think it should be the other way around. ITR should be out of busy and shouldnt be on the road and judging from all the other reviews on here, everyone should BEWARE and NOT use this company!!!! Also, great excuse with the lights. My grandfather has been in law enforcement for 17 years and FBI for 21 so I know all about the law and emergency lights but unfortunately there was no emergency lights on for me to give the driver the right away nor was there any emergency lights on for the driver to stick his hands out to be pointing at.

Went to pick my car up $300.. all windows were left down all night.. tire rod was jerked out. My car was not drivable.. they fixed th tire rod and I still had to pay the $300.. not to mention my A/C buttons and rear defrost and heating and cooling knobs are punched in and loose.. not sure why those were touched at all. Oh and they never once contacted me with an update on my car and when it would be ready or anything. I had to call multiple times. So unprofessional.. oh and the yellow paint that is on th windows has to be scraped with a blade. Talking about livid!! If anyone needs a tow call me!

They get it done but dont expect great service, the owner doesnt really care and theyll put you on hold for long wait times. Thats just who they are, no customer service skills and dont really care to enforce any! I use companies like this daily and they are as bad as the reviews read and dont seem to want to change.

A bunch of rude aggressive crooks!! Please dont call them if you need a tow. They are not only rude they are extremely aggressive. They towed it after I had already been in a wreck (very upset) asked them to tow it from the road to 50 yards away in a parking lot and they charged me $200 for this. If I could give it lower than 1 star I would. What a bunch of leeches, hitting people at there lowest.

I had This company ITR, pull me out of a deep ditch from being stuck from an unknown water line bust. I have a Nissan Altima which is very low to the ground. It was on Thanksgiving day. They were there in a timely manner, got my car out with no problem & charge a reasonable rate. The wrecker guy was very nice & considerate of not damaging my car.I have read some of the reviews on here & I cant really understand the derogatory remarks some have on this wrecker company as all companys primarily do the same duties. They are there when you desparately need them, the operators some of the time I assume are taking verbal abuse from the auto owner b/c they are upset they had to call them in the first place. The cost, ( It wasnt in the budget) but how many plan to have accidents? Its not the tow drivers fault!! The company has to charge their fees b/c of the overhead they have to pay in probably all types of insurance, maintenance, employees & what every it takes to operate a business. The tow operators, the average customer doesnt know what they have previously came off of, if there were accidents w/ deceased victims or hazardous spills, etc they do there best Im sure to conduct themselves in the best manner under the circumstances, doing their job. They cant always be happy happy happy!! A thought that came to mine, Do any of us go to the dentist, doctor or a professional & complain and write terrible comments because you had to wait for hours to see them, or because they werent friendly enough, because they damaged you by drawing blood by mistake or charged you to much money & that gave you the right to verbally call them a crook?I do not work for a tow company nor have I ever worked for one but I think some of you guys need to look at this in a different light! They are doing their job according to the guidelines of the State of TN. We all have to go by the law. Try to be a little more considerate to a Tow Driver Operator, Move into another lane when on interstate when they are working as you do Law Enforcement, they have families also to go home to. They are human & why cant we all just get along & respect each other under tuff circumstances. No one has ask me to write this, my heart just goes out to them as they dont get the recognition they deserve as the Police, EMT, Fire Dept. Any type of Emergency Management. This is what they are to us. An emergency when we need them.

I had my RV towed and the kid towing it had NO clue what he was doing! He told me Ive never done one of these before and had to call someone to help him out. I was told over the phone that they tow RVs and I have a very simple class C RV. He put a strap over the transmission to secure the RV and it broke a very expensive part on the transmission that cost me hundreds...beware!!! The RV would no longer run because of the damage to the transmission. They also charged me $100 more than what they quoted me, and when I asked about this they said, Well you were out in the middle of nowhere and we should have charged you more. Well, we were 1 mile from a very popular campground and they said they tow RVs all the time. Hmmmm...doesnt add up The owner was probably the rudest person Ive ever dealt with and has no idea how to run a business! Youd be better of pushing your car than using ITR to tow your vehicle! BEWARE!!!

I called them to get a quote on decking one truck the lady quoted me $450.00 I had to ask her twice to make sure. it usually only cost $100 to $250.00

Worst experience ever

Tennessee was in a Level 2 State Emergency due to ice and snow. Not only did Independent Towing and Recovery tow my vehicle with courtesy they were 1/2 hour earlier than they estimated. I have nothing, but positive remarks for these folks.

This place will damage your vehicle and they are the worst people to deal with.

Please, SAVE yourself. Do NOT call them, they have bad service and they are a rip off......
