This used to be my favorite place to shop, but they expect customers to wear a mask and yet allow their employees/volunteers to walk around without a mask and come up behind people, breathing on us as we shop.
Really like the store. We spend a lot of time browsing and have made many purchases here. Most of the quality is good. They go through their donations well. The main issue here, and many resale store of this type, ask almost new prices for items they received for free! I believe they would sell a lot more for their cause by lowering their prices.
Good place to hunt for random stuff. Profits go to charity so you cant beat that! Ive seen everything from pro-skis to lawnmowers here.
Yeah. Ah. Its for a good cause. I get it, I really do. But...$65 for a binder and 2 boxes of football cards. Come on. Theyre trying, they are. I just see a lot of legit junk and unrealistic expectations on the prices. Maybe its time to downsize to a smaller building? I volunteered here in 1994 and its nearly still the same. Thats cool that they are utilizing the upstairs, but that building is in bad shape.
Very friendly. Nice stuff
Love this place! Decent prices, always a tag sale that changes each week, and the guys at the register are super friendly and happy to help.
Everyone here was so nice and accommodating. Great cause! Helping men in recovery... And they had some wonderful things I Got a Brand New Pair of really cool pants for 10 bucks very nice
I appreciated being able to hire the guys to deliver my purchases locally.
Very friendly staff. I love supporting recovery.
Great prices and variety!
Id like to start off by saying Ive shopped here for years when looking for certain items and Ive never encountered a person like I did today. To say the least I was not pleased about my shopping experience. First he walked up and rudely dismissed the woman at the check stand, telling her to go ahead and take a break. He behaved like a know-it-all to me, trying to man-splain about an item he had offered a discount on. But when I asked what the actual price was going to be, he wouldnt or couldnt say until he rang it up. I tried explaining that I really wasnt sure I was interested until I knew what the price would actually be....aaannd he kept interrupting me.I finally just told him thanks for offering the discount, but no thank you. Then he was upset I didnt want it after all.I had found another item with a pretty high price. From looking at the tag I could tell it had been in the store for over 3 months. He wouldnt negotiate on the price. Fine. Ok. No problem. But Im sure the reason it was still in the store 3 months later was because the price was outrageously high for what it was. Once again I said no thank you.He continued to be snarky for the rest of the transactionOverall I am completely dissatisfied with my experience today. Which is unfortunate because I have had such pleasant days shopping here in the past.Maybe it was the time of day I went in. Normally I am there in the afternoon and today was in the morning.Well, whatever the case, maybe someone in charge over there reads this and has something to do or say about it...On a side note, I and my family donate all of our household items exclusively here. And I usually donate cash every time I make a purchase. The proceeds all go to a worthy cause. I wont let one bad experience turn me away from a great program. Maybe I just wont shop in the morning anymore....
I dont know what happened to this place but it went from being a great little thrift store months back to becoming not worth the 15 minute drive. I used to shop here a few times a week and regularly made the trip from Albany, spending hundreds of dollars. Now this place is regulated to being a once ever few months trip or when I just happen to be in town.Prices are absurd, there is half the selection and quality has dipped far too low. Sure the store LOOKS nicer but its completely offset by the confused pricing strategy and lack of anything worth buying that is not being priced like eBay.The manager needs to take a look at things and figure out a better method since this new style is going to do nothing but drive away repeat customers who used to be loyal.I was going to donate some nice stuff today after shopping but now that stuff is going elsewhere, to a store who wont throw it away or price gouge the folks who want to buy it.
Great prices. Found a great table made from a slice of a Tree. Beautiful
Its okay.
Today was the third time in just two months that I had large furniture items to donate and, as always, Jim Ewing and his helper, today it was Nick, were polite, efficient and friendly. They are certainly assets to your group! Kudos to all.
Love this store. Affordable, great items. Friendly service.
We always used to have a good experience dropping our off our stuff. This time we needed them to pick up two desks and two book shelves because we couldnt transport and were downswing.. Laura said yes and scheduled us, when the older gentlemen finally showed up at 5 pm, he said no. He dropped a bombshell on me. I was devastated due to the fact, I donated more than several thousand dollars in the last month. I believe he had a negative attitude because he showed up at closing instead of earlier in the day when I was told.If he just check with the Manager regarding us. Dont rely on the driver.Sincerely, Stacy
Was having a bit of a bad day. The workers there were cheerful and cracking jokes. Made my day better. Prices are very good there for what they are selling. I had a very plesant experience.
I went there to To buy a desk for $15 and was willing to donate a $500 recliner and they said they could pick up the recliner to sell it but they said it would cost me $50 to have the $15 desk delivered while they were coming to pick up the recliner anyways. For a Christian-based business that’s pretty underhanded .
Good thrift store but weird and unintelligent staff. Sometimes you score but sometimes they are a rip off. Weird religious vibe. I once murmured a profanity in excitement over a phonograph I saw at a cheap price and one of the longtime employees within earshot rudely commented to watch my mouth because youre in a Christian business. I am usually respectful and considerate when in public, but in a moment of excitement I said a phrase under my breath... this being the 21st century and all...
Always a good place for a bargain. The staff is friendly and helpful. I go every chance I get. Especially 50% off Senior Monday.
We came in about 15 mins before closing and upon walking in they said we are closed. But were only joking . At 555 they kept reminding us we had to go. At one point an employee told another guy to and turn off the lights up stairs where my friend was looking. In my experience in retail if they are in the store and buying give them a few mins to look it could have been a bigger sale.
Terrible experience donating. First we were turned away rudely for coming 10 minutes early. Older lady was very unfriendly and broke a glass door on one of my items, a cabinet, that they said they couldnt accept after I had already unloaded it. Since the item was broken by an employee, I tossed it in their garbage and was then screamed at for saying it was illegal to dump it there. We were shooed away without even a thank you for donating items of value. I will not be supporting this business in the future.
Always great people and great deals
This store is very clean, and well organized. Great bargains, too!
We had a pick up scheduled. We set it out the night before and people did take things during the night. Which was unfortunate. There was a really nice table left, box of 20 books, toys in a container, riding car, a coat, a game, a blanket. The truck slowed down and they glanced and kept going. I guess they must be very picky on what they take. If you are scheduling a pick up, I would suggest that you ask what they will take.
I love this store. Reasonable prices. Welcoming to everyone. Franky is amy favorite person to see at Teen Challenge.
They are very helpful when you ask where specific items are. Always have great deals!

Really nice ppl working there & helpful.
Friendly staff, interesting stuff, good prices
Very nice staff, varied, clean, fairly priced items
If you need furniture you should check it out. Lots of great items at great prices.
Prices are little high for used things even with sale prices. They could rotate more and have better selection if they were more reasonable.
Not greeted upon entering, or at ANY time during visit. But store is clean and organized.
This is the only place I will donate to, they actual have prices that low-income can afford. Also love shopping here LOL
