I needed warranty work done on my pickup. I left it with Gene Messer for 5 days after making an appointment with them to have the work completed. After 5 days I was still in queue to be DIAGNOSED.I took my pickup and called Smith Ford. I told them I needed to be able to do my pickup off the day it was to be looked at. They arranged for me to drop it off three days later.I took my pickup to them and two hours later it was diagnosed and in a bay being worked on. 4 days later they call and all the work is completed. 6/8/21 Negotiated a purchase on a 2019 vehicle $200 off advertised price. I was asked to sign a Buyers Order with the finance manager on this vehicle, shook hands, and left. 6/9/21 called my Salesman to have the Finance Mgr. call me to complete the wire of funds, but after about 30 min. Salesman called me to let me know they sold the vehicle today to someone else without his knowledge. After demanding someone from management call me, I got a call from a co-owner of this dealership. In this conversation I was told sorry its just the way the market is now, and there is nothing they can do. He did offer to find another vehicle of same model, and located one with 20K more miles, and history of major damage which was taken as an insult to the already bad situation. In my experience Smith South Plains ownership has no commitment or honesty in how they value, and treat customers. On 6/10 travelled to Dallas and purchased same 2019 model vehicle with 3000 less miles from Plano Audi. The experience was excellent, and easy. Completed all paperwork, funds wire, and drove vehicle home same day.

I generally do not trust car dealerships but I gained a lot of trust with Smith South Plains Ford. Michael was great to work with and trustworthy. I had to travel from El Paso to pick up the new truck and was able to do all negotiations by phone and review almost all paperwork before I arrived at the dealership, which made for a quick process when I arrived on a Saturday morning. They even offered to drive the new truck down to me and drive my old truck back up, if I had decided to do a trade-in. I definitely feel like I got not just the best deal in Texas, but in the country.

Just purchased a truck and havent had it a month. Its already messing up contacted the sales person to let him know about it he told me to bring it in and it will be taking care of. Took it in Thursday and supposedly it was a Battery Terminal Clamp that was causing the problem. I figured since the sales person told me it would be taking care of that everything would be covered but nope I had to pay for the repairs. I told the Service man that the sales person said it would be taking care of and he texted him to go back there n all he said was its not expensive at all just be glad its cheaper than what a battery what of cost. Paid and took the truck and still wasnt fixed.

Jacob did an incredible job! Im not the easiest guy to work with when buying a truck, but Jacob was honest and sincere with me...a man cant ask for more than that. The worst dealership in the world! Salesman never reply. I was waiting on a deal sheet for two days, bank approves my finances. Turns out they will sell a vehicle out from underneath you. Can’t to business with people like this. Salesman and manager try to turn it around on the customer to say it was there not the salesman or manager!! Never shop here. And then there response was “after I posted this review” that I didn’t put a deposit down. After speaking with Michael and the manger when they told me they sold it and they didn’t allow for deposits to be taken.. now they are saying I should have. Such a joke.

My brand new Avaitor was damaged when my husband who was driving had a medical emergency and passed out. We went in the ditch and tore out the underside of the car. After calling the ambulance and getting him on the way to the hospital I called the Lincoln link for a tow. The answer I got was in some distant place that would take too long. I called South Plains and explained my need- I was pretty shaken! The girl, I’m so sorry I don’t remember her name because she was amazing!) took care of it and had a local tow send right out to my location in no time. I went on to the hospital. Paul from the body shop called to let me know I needed to contact my insurance because of extensive damage as the rock I thought was a deer dead in the ditch! Long story short, the parts needed were unavailable due to COVID issues. My insurance paid for 30 days car rental, but at that point, there still were no parts. Paul arranged for a loaner car that I drove another 2 1/2 months. The car is perfect, they did an amazing job fixing the problems, even offering to try and trade cars with.me. I’m so glad I waited! I love my car, and I love my dealer!!!! From the buying experience, with Hunter, to the end of the what could have been a nightmare, Smith South Plains did everything possible to help us out! The guys were very helpful and my salesman Dakota was very Christian minded and willing to do what it took to get me the kingranch f350 I wanted and even personally came out and set it all up for me and helped me move all my belongings from my current f350 to my new one. As long as he is there in another year I will go and speak with him on my next f350 . I prefer a longbed truck and he didnt try to offer me anything else or anything extra that I didnt ask for. I have been in Levelland for a little over 3 years. I have used Smith South Plains Ford for all of my services on my Silverado. You don’t have to have a Ford. They give your Silverado the same attention and care as if it were their own personal vehicle. I purchased a new Silverado in Dallas last year and traded my old one. They had one question for me after pulling a car fax. Why I took my Chevrolet to a Ford dealership for service. I smiled because there is not a better Service Department than Smith South Plains Ford. I take my new Silverado Duramax to Smith too. They are awesome folks with top notch service and always gave me excellent service. I took my Silverado one time to the Chevrolet dealership in Levelland when I first arrived in town. I’ve never gave them another opportunity. It was a disappointment. Smith South Plains has taken care of both my Silverado’s ever since. They are beyond friendly, the guys are terrific and knowledgeable, they pay attention to detail, and they explain everything they covered and service performed. And than they thank you even though I drive a Chevrolet. That’s stellar service, that’s integrity, that’s trust. Every business should take lessons on customer service from these guys. Second down they were over the goal line.I first heard of them from Jerry Reynolds, “The Car Pro” on KFYO. They were not then, but are now the only recommended auto dealership in the Lubbock area. One thing that the wonderful people I worked with don’t know is that I was a “mystery shopper” at their dealership long before I knew they existed. They received high scores from even me.The Sykora family must still be doing it right. They took care of all my requests regarding financing and kept in touch every step of the way. They found the problem with my motor home and fixed it in a very reasonable time.Its not easy to find a place that will works on RVs, even though they are limited to about 30 foot RVs in their service bays.

I have purchased vehicles from Smith South Plains since 1988, including the patrol units used by the Sheriffs department I retired from. Nothing is ever 100 percent good or bad and have had a minor complaint once and awhile, but they are very rare. I only strayed to another dealer several years ago and, the next vehicle, we came back. We just purchased 2 new vehicles, One of which I got to order exactly like I wanted. Junior Valdez is an asset to the company,and Annette and Pat have always been very kind and helpful.
