This place is what you need!! They gave an estimate and when I picked my bike up is was exactly what I was expecting. They took the time to explain everything the were going to do and gave me a few things I might want to look out for in the coming months. Will be back for more work when needed!!!!
Well, at first I was impressed and had pocketed their business card for any work I may need done in the future. I had brought in a scooter that my fiancee had purchased for me on Amazon as a Christmas gift. I just wanted it looked over to make sure it was assembled correctly and functionally to avoid any issues I may experience in the future. What convinced me to get it looked at was when it showed up the gas tank was punctured but the manufactuer was quick to replace it. I had replaced the tank and it started and worked pretty well. I was told by this shop that the solenoid should be relocated, so I told them to go ahead and do it.It was only a little over $100 so I thought that was fair. The second time I rode the bike after taking it home, the battery was fried because there was an exposed wire that contacted with the chassis. I since sold the bike because I dont have the time or money to continue trying to keep it operational.I cannot be certain the shop is responsible for this occurence, but it worked before I took it here and had a small correction made, this led to bigger issues.
Wanted $85 for mount and balance per tire/rim already off bike......Price gouge to the max. I would hate to see what they charge for actual work
So very disappointed from the way this entire shop conducted business. I spent over $1400 on my 2012 KX250F with these guys to have a blown motor in the end & then Im the one to have gotten blamed! The Owner Didnt think twice before calling me saying it was a error on my behalf.I dropped off my motor and front forks originally. Then I picked up the motor and forks about 2 weeks later, their diagnosis was I needed new valves & springs, valves seats and a water pump seal kit. I told them I wanted THE ENTIRE MOTOR checked out and that’s all they said was needed! After getting home I realized they didnt release air in the forks properly so they werent rebounding all the way, (45 mins drive) so I had to take it all the way back for them to get the job done right.Of course the first thing I did was put oil, coolant, they put in a new oil filter, & a brand new air filter then after this ONLY 11.5 hours later on my new motor...poof its blown. So I took the entire bike back to them (they requested) instead of just the motor and they blame me for it not having any oil, when I literally keep a spare quart of oil for the bike in my truck AT ALL TIMES. Before every ride Id check the oil and they werent hearing it, either pay another $150 or pick it up! Oh & it better be within the next 5 days or Ill start charging storage fees!Mind you I NEVER ONCE gave them an attitude, talked rude or disrespectful. I never rushed them or got in the way, and I still got treated like I wasnt a good, paying in full, on time type of customer. Nor I did the owner try to ever resolve this big problem. I DID NOT feel anywhere near being family as Ive seen in other comments for this shop.I will never recommend this place to anyone which is a huge loss of their behalf.I started to wonder why there so many bikes in the lot and if the work was done right or rushed out the door, Ive posted some pictures below of the damage done, MIND you I paid them to check over my ENTIRE motor and they told me everything was fine other than the work that was done. If it was a loss of oil why isnt my piston heat burned and looks brand new? Nor does the crank cases have any signs of oil loss. My motor did not blow up from a loss of oil.As you can see from their response below, they’re not even trying to resolve this issue, more of just blaming me! How can an engine go 11.5 hours with no oil, IT CAN’T. Like you need me to tell you that! I have clear PROOF from pictures showing that oil was still in the bike WHEN I PERSONALLY TORE THE MOTOR DOWN MYSELF.YOU GUYS ARE A JOKE! I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW THE OWNER MIKE IS HANDLING THIS SITUATION. SHOWS HOW MUCH HE CARES FOR HIS CUSTOMERS. Aka THE PEOPLE THAT KEEP YOUR BUSINESS FLOWING.
Ryan helps you understand your motorcycle..
Ryan and Jeff helped immensely on my journey through Texas to California. I found Metric on Tuesday, informing them I was leaving for Cali Friday. I had my bike back Thursday.THANKS FELLAS!
So I brought my bike to this shop for the first time to have some aftermarket mirrors put on. I asked about how much and I was told it would take an hour. I dropped my bike off around 12:30. I swung by around 4:30 because I hadn’t heard anything. I was told it had not been started yet because, “a lift had not opened up.” Generally, installing mirrors does not require a lift. I think what the guy was trying to say was that they were busy doing other sh!t. That would have been nice to know before dropping my bike off. Then they closed at 6. They had my bike the entire following day and still didn’t get to it. I was told my bike was a blast to ride. That’s nice. I picked up my bike and rode home, no mirrors installed. The only reason I didn’t give this experience one star is because they seemed like nice guys; even if they ride instead of service your bike.
Bought a bike and it was not charging the battery called J and C cycles and he walked me though how to test the stator, the battery and the regulator all over the phone. Honesty goes a long way.
Horrible experience. I sent my bike to the shop to get the valves replaced, and they did everything wrong. First; when I got there the gentlemen who helped me, decided to tell me what was wrong with my bike and then proceeded to wheelie the bike in front of me and almost weeded it out in front of me. Second; they told me my repair would take 4 days, and it took almost two weeks! Finally; when I got the call my bike was done, it was promptly followed by them telling me they dropped my bike and that I was the one responsible for fixing it. I honestly have never been so upset over a mechanical repair before. As I was about to let this go I decided to go ahead and take my top end apart by myself after the fact and low and behold they didnt replace any gaskets or seals on my bike and I had to repair it again!! If the owner sees this I am more than happy to have my mechanic prove with photographic evidence that my seals were not replaced and his shopped used copper sealing agent(cheap) instead of the gaskets you are meant to use.DO NOT BRING YOUR BUSINESS HERE!!
Metric Motorsports is a very professional repair shop. They are the only shop that have worked on my bikes for 10 years.
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. To me the most important qualities for a reputable shop owner to have is accountability and honesty. You will find that here.
Brought my 1985 Honda Odyssey in to get sorted and tuned after sitting for 30+ years. Two stroke needing carb tuning. Friendly greeting from Ryan. Picked it up a few days later and it runs like new! Very reasonable prices. I’ll be recommending them to everyone. Thanks Ryan!!
Bought my bike from their neighbor so I naturally wanted Metric to service the it.Went in with my tire and they swapped it out for a good price. The folks are very cool and are easy to work/talk with which made it a pain free pleasant experience.Kate is awesome!Love the crew and recommend you see them for your next visit!
Jeff and the guys are phenomenal!! Great work great prices and great customer service. Would definitely recommend their work to others!
5 stars all around! Ryan and the rest of the staff are super helpful and knowledgeable! Weve taken both our bikes here for tuneups and maintenance and we couldnt be happier with the results!
Last year I was in need of new tires and brakes. Having an older 1995 Goldwing I was looking for a local shop who would put some tires and brakes on it for me. I looked on line and found Metric who had positive reviews so I thought I would give them a try. Jeff and Mike put on a set of Elite 4s and new brakes. Their service was great and their prices were fair. Fast forward to this year, I had a broken valve stem. There was only one place I was going to go and that was Metric. Again, great service and fair pricing. A week later I had a question and they knew I was about to go on a 3000 mile trip so they told me to swing by and they did a quick safety check free of charge. Now I can ride with confidence. I highly recommend Metric Motorsports.
Ive been in Texas for approximately a year. Metric Motorsports was the first shop I came across to service my bike and the service is and has always been OUTSTANDING ! The entire crew is very friendly, courteous but most importantly KNOWLEDGEABLE. The crew doesnt make you feel as though youre just coming in to get something fixed. I literally feel as though Im around life long friends, from the technicians all the way up to management. If youre looking for quick yet great work done to your bike this shop is beyond capable.
Will for sure be a return customer.
Sweet!
Great folks. Everyone there is very friendly and knowledgeable. Mike rocks. Have taken 3 bikes there and every time it has been a great experience. Affordable, fast and honest. They even rebuilt a rear brake caliper while I waited. It was getting close to closing time but they handled it. Much appreciated! They are a little out of the way for me, but I will take my work there whenever possible. Highly recommended.
Love this place.... they helped me out the morning before my ride to Houston from Dallas. Also gave me great riding tip and future and add-on for me bike. I trust them and my self with my bike only, I’ll keep coming back till I can’t ride anymore. Before I take any trip one twos they.... I’ll make sure they see my baby
I have a black 08 Harley Ultra Classic that was running terribly. I was told you need to take it to an experienced Dyno Tuner. Oddly, I called this shop and talked with Mike, who assured me he could tune my Harley. I am skeptical by nature of most mechanics, but I took a chance on Mike and he delivered. He didnt gouge me on price, kept his word and now my Harley runs great. I highly recommend this shop. All these guys are friendly and honest. From now on, my Harley goes to Mike for any future work. Its hard to find techs that you can really trust. ***Note- they are a little tucked away behind a strip building, but worth the search! **Also, some one came in and paid the ticket for me!! That was answered prayer for sure!!!
Jeff and mike did a great job! they fixed my Kawasaki fast and cost effectively. These guys tell you exactly which parts are still good and what actually needs to be repaired, unlike the dealer. This is my new bike shop here in the Dallas area. Go to these guys instead of the dealer and save yourself time and money.
I hardly ever give 5 stars, but this time it is in order. Got new tires, tuning, and a readjustment of my suspension on my Triumph Tunderbird. Mike did a fantastic job. Lucy kept in touch and I was never in the dark about what was getting done. The price was reasonable and they stuck to the estimate. They were very responsive to my requests and wishes. We will take our bikes to them for everything from now on.
Great prices and quality service. Very speedy turn around!
It alright friendly staff
Friendly staff and excellent service! They did a great job on our 4 wheeler. We will definitely use them again.
I was referred to David by people in my neighborhood. I was very pleased with the work he performed and the price he charged. We did have to take the car back under the warranty and was worried he would honor the warranty but HE DID! He even went above and beyond! Of our 3 cars only one is still under warranty. David is our now trusted and go to mechanic for everything that is not covered under our warranty! A++++++
Great place Ryan has great gear and they can fix anything if you have issues with your bike
Awesome experience, Ive only been riding for a year and dont know much mechanical wise. Had a problem with my clutch and brought it in. These guys explained to me in great detail what the problem was and order the new parts at a great cost. They were right on the money with the estimate. Sick ass local shop.
I bought 2 new tires and tubes from here and went riding the very next day and a tube popped. Apparently they forgot to put on new tape to cover the spokes to protect the tube. I could have been hurt or seriously injured. Im sorry but I can not recommend this place.
Mike really worked with me on payment and delivery during hard times (Harvey).... Very helpful and knowledgeable! Recommend greatly!?
Metric Motorsports is a great small business that is perfect for your motorcycle repai needs. They provide timely and complete repair service for your motorcycle and off road equipment. I have had nothing but good experiences dealing with the people who work there. Kate and Mike in the front office area are friendly and professional. They handle your motorcycle needs with the knowledge that the job will be done right the first time. Also, they remember their customers. Whether its six months or six days, they pay attention to their customers and are loyal. I recently had an incident where I was stranded by the highway, within half an hour, they had retrieved myself and my bike and brought it to the shop. It was repaired in the time promised and I was on the road in no time. Although they are not right on the highway, it is worth your while to pay them a visit for your motorcycle repair needs in the north DFW area.
If you take your bike any other place than metric motorsports....your waisting your time! Have gotten multiple tires here and got my fairings put on by them. It will be the only place I take my bike to get work done on. Big shout out Mike and his team there, I can not thank them enough for things they do. Rubber side down ladys and gents and if anything happens remember, metric motorsports!
Great group of guys with endless knowledge of bikes... Ive brought many bikes to them and they give them back to me how I expect them to be.. Inspect what you Except is my motto.... And they come through every time!!!Thanks Jeff!!!!
Great service at a great price! Purchased aftermarket fairings off eBay and some woodcraft cut sliders for my 2013 CBR600RR ABS model. Will be going back whenever I can settle on an exhaust! Will upload pics when i get home.
Brought my fz6 in for tires and chain, they had it done swiftly. Made me aware of other issues without being pushy at all. Will be returning.
Good staff great results with the work done on my trike. I was quite pleased with their prompt and accurate work. 🌍
Love Mike and Katie! Best customer service at this shop. Would recommend them to anyone!
I got a TaoTao with a 139QMB (GY6 50cc) and this guys are very experience and very willing to work on these engines in contrast to other shops in the area. I purchased every upgrade I could think of and brought it for them to install it. I got it back within a couple of days. #BBK Clutch springs and final gear drive. This moped is FAST now!
These guys are fantastic! They are efficient, honest, well-qualified, and affordable. I will continue to bring my business here!
Original review was good, the guys were nice... But then issues came up left and right. The first repair job was botched, busted again with 30mins of riding. so had to bring it back for a second time. Botched AGAIN. Shifter actually broke off due to such a poor wielding job, called them in a panic cause after riding it for 20minutes shifter broke, ignition wiring went bad and I was stuck in first gear, couldnt turn off my ATV, pulled the key started making a massively loud clicking noise, some smoke came from the engine so I had to turn it to on again and leave it on until my brother came out and detached the battery. I got minor help from them during that phone call and have received nothing since even after leaving a message that day to someone telling them to let Mike know what happened. I suggest looking elsewhere.
Do not go here! Every time I take my bike in they break something else so I have to keep coming back. First the battery went out then brakes werent working right then the throttle broke. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Awesome staff very knowledgeable did great with my bike Im telling you the customer service is OnPoint they treat you like family I will definitely definitely be a return customer
My fiancé and I always have a great experience going into metric motorsports. They have great prices and all the employees are friendly and honest with you.
Took my 1998 honda cbr 600f3 to get fixed they told me 3 cyclinder where bad i paid 1800 plus in cash to get motor rebuild the day i got the bike back it had the tail plactics broken from them dropping my freshly painted back they replaced the plastic and never paintes to match my bike i drove it to work and mind you i live and work 5 min from metric when i got home the bike was mixing oil and coolant i took it back and jeff said the water pump seal had gone bad i told him arent you a profesional why wouldnt you tell me to replace those item when you rebuild the engine we argue and i still paid another 200 to get a new water pump and seal got the bike back still doesnt run good i would run away from this place anyone who works in those shady shops back there are scum bags dont waste your time or money im talking about jeff and that creppy dude with the accent who smokes all the time
Bike was here longer than expected, but seems to be ok. Havent rode it yet but well see...i would come back again..
I called metric motorsports when I had realized that I had got in over my head on a handlebar installation. Mike answered the phone and said they would get me in no problem and with a great hourly rate ($65 less than most dealerships). Brought my bike down, met the staff, and left my bike with them. Ran into some speed bumps along the way, not their fault as I had ordered parts from another company, but they had patience with me and the situation. Finally got my bike back on a Saturday and it looked great. The next day I had some issues with the bike and started really looking it over, my fault for not doing this sooner, and noticed some scratches on my rear fender (2 to be exact). I was almost 100% positive they were not there when I dropped my bike off but I took pictures of it just to be sure and also noticed my bleeder caps on my front calipers were missing. Dropped my bike off again on Monday, they called later that afternoon and said it was fixed, my wiring problems were caused by loose battery terminal wires. Then they said well we didnt do anything with the battery so we dont know how that happened... Ok... Put my helmet on the back rest, gave it a quick glance, caliper covers were on, didnt notice anything unusual, hopped on and rode home. This was right before they closed.Parked the bike in my garage and left it at that. The weekend came around and I went to go clean it before a ride. Noticed a new scratch on the rear fender, made a mental note, compared my photo and went through the rest of the bike. I then noticed the plugs on my frame, the ones wire run THROUGH were missing. I even went to the local dealership to make sure theyre supposed to be there. Called Mike, he said hed look into it, brought up the scratches, he apologized, and said hed talk to the tech. I called them today to get some follow up, Mike said well the tech is here and hands him the phone. Tech says well I installed them so I dont know what happened to them. You drove off with the bike. I ask, you sure were talking about the same plugs, he describes them to me and again says he installed them and that I drove off with the bike. I felt this was just a bold face lie and that I should have gone over the bike with a microscope before I left, which trust me, after this experience I will be. My fault I guess right? I was so disappointed I decided it wasnt even worth bring up scratches and ended the callThese are plugs that have wires running through them and must be installed (into the bikes frame) before wires are run. They cant just vanish unless a) they were never installed or b) they werent installed, they were cut so the wires would fit and then placed into the frame.... I would have been happier with man I cant find them here, must have forgot them, and we tossed them. I wouldnt have even asked for them to be replaced as I know that would be labor intensive. The fact that I was told something that is just impossible to be true really left a bad taste in my mouth. Thats not even considering the scratches.I had planned on rating Metric Motorsports and giving them 5 stars but I got busy and hadnt been able to get around to it. Im glad I waited. I would give Mike 4 1/2 stars, and to be honest, hes the only reason theyre getting 3. Attention to detail just wasnt there, something I may have got had I paid $150 an hour. I truly wish them all the success but I will not be coming back, which seems theyre ok with as well. I have learned to take photos of the bike before taking it to a shop and to go through every little detail before taking it back, no matter if theyre about to close or how rushed for time you might be.
The guy at the front desk Mike was super creepy. They overcharged us for the work done and when we were riding home a bolt popped off the bike! Apparantly they didnt put the washer back on! These guys have no idea what they are doing!
They did great work, honest group will bring them any problems I have.
Fixed my Honda Rancher in less than 24 hours. Reasonable pricing and really nice people.
Quoted a price and that was the price I paid which is very rare for auto or motorcycle repair shops. Great work as well and it is done when they say it will be done.
To the dollar on their bid, super fast and friendly service.
I just called them for a Honda cbr1000rr seat recover. They said they would charge $275. Well.Thats FUNNY.
Great staff, good prices, super helpful!
Awesome people.
