Dr. Brecheen was extremely helpful and considerate! He listened to my past experiences with glasses and set me up with contact lenses in less than a week! He patiently assisted me in learning how to use the lenses and answered any questions I had. I would highly recommend him to everyone!

We are so thankful for Dr. Brecheen and staff! We looked into vision therapy for my daughter who was struggling to read. A former educator, I had never considered vision-related issues as a possible cause of her difficulties, especially since she has 2020 vision and could pass a standard eye test with flying colors. Dr. Brecheen, however, identified several issues that could be contributing to her struggles. After several months of therapy, the difference in her reading is night and day, as is her confidence. I highly recommend Brecheen Learning and vision!

Dr. Brecheen is Excellent! Taking the time to examine carefully and explain what hes doing and what everything means, he manages to keep up both a personable patter of conversation and also educate. His approach to vision correction is refreshing as well, offering information and eye exercises instead of glasses, which helped us understand our childrens behavior around reading.

Dr. Brecheen is in one word - AMAZING! My daughter struggled for years with reading in elementary school. We would take her to other eye doctors and no one found the problem. Our daughters eye did not track properly so reading was so difficult at best. She was enrolled in eye therapy and her grades went from a mostly C and some Bs student to a mostly A and one B student. He is caring and compassionate and very personable.Our whole family now go to Dr. Brecheen - his eye exams are the most thorough I have ever received. We will not go anywhere else. His staff is wonderful too!

Our family has used Brecheen Learning and Vision Center since about 1985. Their vision care and learning center is amazing. Our daughter was having trouble reading, after completing the program at Brecheen she was reading above level. She has now gone on to complete 2 undergraduate degrees and is now finishing her masters. The rest of the family uses Brecheen for all our vision needs. The staff is so great and caring they treat everyone like family.

My family of 5 has been going to Brecheen Learning and Vision Center for optometry since appx 2000. We have also received vision therapy and biofeedback at times for all 3 of our kids. Every experience we have had is positive! I cant imagine the struggles our kids would have had if we hadnt been doing this!! They are professional and knowledgeable and personable and efficient. We drive past many other offices to get there and it is worth it every time!

The whole staff was very friendly and Dr. B took his time to explain to me all of which he was testing. Anyone would feel comfortable with Dr. B he is just that friendly.

As a result of brain surgery, I suffer from nystagmus, and double-vision. These conditions make eye exams exhausting, and frustrating. Dr. Brecheen, I believe, understands this, and knows that I wont have the visual acuity of someone without these disabilities, so he is looking for the best result that I can give him, and I believe Ive achieved this. Do I still need readers? Yes. Nystagmus means its difficult to nail down the better correction. It doesnt mean that Dr. Brecheen is failing me at any level.

I highly recommend Dr. B and his team. They were the only ones to properly diagnose my daughters learning disability, pinpointing her sight problems that had gone undetected. They developed a customized plan to help her overcome and correct her issues and continually monitored and modified the process as needed. Thanks to Dr. B and team, she is not only confident in school but excelling in reading, writing and math.

I highly recommend Dr. Bracheen and his staff. The staff is warm, friendly, and responsive, and Dr. Bracheen is approachable, funny, and encouraging. Prior to finding Dr. B, our son had been through ten years of tutoring and testing, as we searched for an explanation for his school challenges. Dr. Bracheen diagnosed the cause and proposed an attainable treatment plan. Equally importantly, Dr. Bracheen shared his own personal story to which my son relates, and my son has hope for the first time in many years.

Dr. Brecheen saved my life. Literally. I recently came in because I had double-vision and my eye was drifting off into space. It had gotten quite severe over a 3 day period. He got me into his clinic quickly and spent over an hour with me attempting to diagnose the cause of my eye problem. After determining that my problem wasnt vision related, he encouraged me (strongly) to get myself to a doctor ASAP. Because of this intervention we were able to find out that I was actually having an MS flare up. Overall, Im a very healthy person (serious athlete who trains nearly every day). I would have never known that I had a serious problem had he not provided such thorough, honest care. Now I can get the treatment I need to STAY healthy AND I have a fantastic new OD. Dr B is the bees knees and Im eternally grateful to him.

Words cannot fully express how grateful we are to Dr. B and his amazing team of therapists for their work with our daughter over the past 6 months. Our daughter was mistakenly diagnosed with Alternating Intermittent Exotropia by our eye doctor last year, and we were given glasses to try to force her eyes into single focus. Surgery was presented as an ultimate solution - the intent to shorten one optic nerve to make her eyes align. After researching this and hearing how unsuccessful surgery is for Exotropia, I stumbled on vision therapy and then happened to hear an acquaintance mention Dr. Brecheen. After talking to Vicky in the office and then to Dr. B himself on the phone, we scheduled an appointment for a second opinion. Dr. Brecheen spent nearly 3 hours with us that first day, carefully testing extensively and then going over everything with me and answering my many questions. I learned that my daughter had been seeing everything double within a 5ft radius, but she didnt realize it because her brain had been compensating and trying to shut off her left eye. Suddenly SO MUCH was explained that we couldnt previously understand with our daughter. Dr. B diagnosed her with Convergence Insufficiency and told us he believed vision therapy could cure her vision issue, ending her double vision and opening up a whole new world for her. He said he thought she would take off like a rocket with her schoolwork once her vision issue was cleared up. This is exactly what happened. Our daughter just graduated from vision therapy a few weeks ago and is now seeing single vision and her visual tracking and processing has completely changed. Her reading comprehension and her writing speed vastly improved, as did her overall confidence and joy! She loves reading and never complains of fatigue anymore she reading or doing close work. Before she was most often frustrated but couldnt explain why, especially when it came to learning new things. Now we know it was all because her brain was working so hard to make sense of her two visual fields that were not working together. Just incredible that she went 8 years of her life and we never knew... Dr. B and the therapists are so great with all the kids, the entire experience was amazing. Cant recommend them highly enough to anyone considering vision therapy! Our daughter just got her STAAR test results today for the end of the year testing and we were blown away - she achieved a near perfect score. We know this would NEVER have been possible if it were not for Dr. B and all that our daughter accomplished in vision therapy. Her life has been forever changed. We drove from Fort Worth to Lewisville twice a week for 6 months and it was totally worth it. Brecheen Learning and Vision Center gets 5 million stars in our book!!
