Well I did have to go in 2 times but only because they needed more information than I brought with me. But they were open and friendly I found out that a few of them had many years of experience not only in lawn equipment but vehicles as well so as a whole probably 50 to 60 years of mechanical experience in this building. Was able to order the correct parts the first time at half the price I expected to pay. I will go there for all my parts and new machinery
I called Tim last saturday. I had a electrical problem on a zero turn, in 20 minutes i had it running over the phone... great customer service... the best ive seen...

Took my Toro push mower there because it wouldn’t start and it was under a year old. I didn’t purchase it from them but they still checked to see if it was covered under warranty (it wasn’t) and got it fixed and working again for me. Was a quick repair and I had it back in under a week.

Karla, the co- owner, went way over and above what I expected, helping me in a lawnmower jam. Sadly, the last few times I worked with NTFG, communication seemed less than what it had been before. Getting a return call on the simple status of a machine was rarely made.I know it’s time consuming for an employee to call, but a customer truly appreciates, and frankly expects, feedback on his equipment. Not today. Karla did great. She was relentless, trying to help a customer get what they needed. Do not go there the service is very bad. We bought a chainsaw and the same day it quit working, I took it back for them to check it they called me and said my chainsaw was bad. That I need to by a new one. They wanted to give me 141.39 to by a new one the saw was 449.99. I ask for my chainsaw back and they could not give it back they had it destroyed at a other location. But in the end I got my money back. But I will not ever beye any thing in that place again. Now I shop at ace hard wear or northern. They have stihl chin saws I go there.
Didnt visit the store in person. But the lady I spoke with was really nice And referred me to a parts store that may have the tire I needed. And what do you know after looking for 4 days that shop had my tire. Porters tires
Best service ever,! Brought my mower to get fixed and tuned up. They have it 90% complete and I was worried about the rain and how tall my grass was getting. They offered to loan me a mower, brought it to my house and mowed my back yard for me!! Best customer service in history!! I will never buy or have repairs done anyplace else!They do have top of the line equipment and amazing service!!
These people kept my husbands machine for over two weeks and never called us, until I decided to call and asked the status turns out they havent even checked it and this is not even peak season, finally they got to it and all it had was a belt that needed to be adjust and for that small tightening they charge us 1 hour labor how do you justify 1 hour of labor for something that literally took less then 1 minute to do? This ended up costing us over $100 dollars, DO NOT BRING YOUR BUSINESS TO THIS PLACE! NOT WORTH IT!

I took my lawn mower and two weeks went by and I never received any calls about my machine, what was the problem, and then my wife called to see the state of the machine and they didnt know how to give an explanation to my wife why They had not reviewed it to give us the estimate. Then the next day they only call to say your machine is ready. As they did nothing to just move a screw and therefore they charged an hour of work and according to checked the transmission but there was no sign that I checked it and I understand that it is charged for the knowledge and I recognize it but this time I recognize that they robbed me with the naked eye and worst of all they take advantage if you do not understand well or speak good English are racist. Do not come to this place if you are Hispanic They will steal you or they will take care of you badly.
The owner, Gene Stewart, picked up our zero-turn mower at our home and took it to this shop for service. He told us it would take 2-3 days, but we were skeptical since this is the busiest time of the year for lawn equipment repair. We were quoted approximately $300 in labor, plus parts, which would include oil and filter, air filter, fuel filter as well as the pick-up and delivery fee of $25. We were expecting a total bill of somewhere in the neighborhood of $425 - $450 if the mower bladed could be saved and resharpened.After just 2 days Gene called me to let me know our mower was ready and he would deliver it back to our home the following morning. He said the blades were not salvageable and had to be replaced. Three of the four tires would not hold air and had to be removed from the rims to have the rims and tire beads cleaned and reinstalled to properly seat and seal. I braced myself for a significant increase in the repair bill from my initial estimate. But Gene told me the total bill was just a hair over $300 including all of the expected and extra labor as well as the additional parts. I was relieved and grateful!It is a breath of fresh air for a company to come in on time and well under the estimated budget for services rendered. This type of honesty and fair business dealing has made me a customer of North Texas Lawn & Garden for life!
I would give North Texas Farm & Garden TEN stars if I could! Where Honda failed, Gene stepped up and set the standard of what customer service should be. For me, where to buy equipment and find service you can rely on is a very simple decision . . . North Texas Farm & Garden.My first purchase of any Honda product was a lawnmower for home use. Unfortunately, Honda’s highly publicized reputation for quality and reliability was not designed and built into my mower. The problems began with the rear wheels developing increasing resistance when the mower was pulled backwards, and progressed to the rear wheels intermittently locking up instead of freewheeling in reverse.I took the mower to North Texas Farm & Garden for pre-season maintenance and asked Gene to try to resolve the problem. He did and the mower worked fine . . . for awhile, however, the problem gradually returned. With steadfast determination, Gene brought Honda area reps into the picture to address the frustrating flaw.I did not purchase my mower from Gene. He did not have to go the “extra mile” with my issue. While I am disappointed with Honda quality, I am very impressed with the attention, support and commitment demonstrated by North Texas Farm & Garden.
Not impressed with the service, knowledge or high prices. location is terrible too. Gene is more interested in making the sale than listening to the customer and then making up excuses. My last visit I bought some parts and said thanks and Gene just blew me off. Mike with Smith farm was great and always appreciated the business. Keep it up gene and you might end up like lowrey‘s motor service! Don’t lose sleep over it but you won’t be able to earn my business again and I’ll spread the word to my friends.
Extremely helpful staff and despite plenty of negative reviews posted by others cant speak highly enough of North Texas Farm and Garden. I had two pieces of equipment break and they were both covered until Stihls warranty and repaired within a week (replacement parts needed to be ordered).
I had one of the best customer experiences ever today at North Texas Farm & Garden. I bought a mower yesterday, but I had trouble with it so I brought it back to the store today. The owner, Gene Stewart, was up front and helped me when I came in. I was leery of getting a new mower fixed so I asked if I could return it for another one instead. He agreed on the spot, no fuss no muss and I walked out a very happy customer. Its great to do business with someone of high integrity that values his customers. I highly recommend North Texas Farm & Garden.

This is my husbands favorite place to buy equipment for work. The staff is really nice and the owner is a very honest guy. I feel they sell you what you need and not what is the most expensive. They also fix equipment there, which they had our pole saw fixed the next day! Great customer service and products!!
Gene is awesome, I had a Husqvarna 48 riding mower that I had given up on. Gene picked it up before Christmas made no promises and returned with mower that was like new a few days after Christmas. It purred at idle and kicked butt at full throttle. Gene went out of his way to make this customer Happy.When Gene saw I was having back problems he even edged my entire front lawn. Nuff said.

Do NOT take anything to Smith Farm and Garden in Lewisville, Texas to be repaired. I drove 15 miles to this store to have my Mantis Tiller looked at because after 4 years it would not start. A week later they called and said it was repaired. They replaced the carburetor, air filter and installed the new fuel filter I had given them. They started it and said it “Ran fine”.Drove 15 miles back to pick it up, they started it and it ran. The next day tried to start, no good. Followed all of the directions in trying to start it and no go. Waited an hour thinking I might have flooded and tried again. Still no start. Called Smith Farm’s and they had no one to look at it and I would have to leave it again.Drive 15 miles to leave it when they said it was “Fixed” the first time, then 15 miles back after they fix it the second time. That a total of 90 miles at today’s gas prices. All the guy said when I called is that it was running when it left.What has happen to Customer Services and what has happen to Smith Farm & Garden. They use to be the best, now they just think they are the best.
I found NTF&G by word of mouth. They exceeded my expectations in knowledge, service, and professionalism. Nice line of top tier equipment. Reliable and friendly people. I cant say that about all shops.
I bought a honda commercial lawnmower. I was expecting it to be quick. Once I got home I tested the lawnmower speed. Really disappointed. I then went back the next day to ask for an exchange for a toro. I was advised that since I already used it (only like 10-20ft) that maybe I wasnt able to exchange. So I was charge another 100 dollar extra because supposedly it would be difficult for them to sell the lawnmower that I already use for like 10sec or soo. Anyways I got what I wanted but still cant believe I was charge another 100 bucks..
I called to ask if they could pick up my mower for service because I dont have a truck at the moment and they quoted me $90 round trip. Then the lady said you know, you can rent a trailer cheap at Home Depot and save yourself a bunch of money. I thought that was great customer service.
I bought a DR Power chipper/shredder and trimmer online from the manufacturer in CT. I had problems with both, DR Power referred me to N. TX Farm and Gardens for repairs. Turns out this shop is the largest distributor of DR Power in TX. The trimmer problem was a broken governor spring, that tech support in CT did not have in their checklist of possible problems. The chipper problem was operator error. Gene showed me how to properly use it, and sent me on my way. I will buy my DR Power products locally from now on. Super nice folks.
This guy Paul is a joke, I was there when he started ranting, cussing at everyone and acting like a big baby. I have used NTFG for over 15 years and had nothing but great customer service. Gene and his staff are TOP NOTCH and are always willing to do whatever it takes for the customer to leave happy. Gene offered to take the blower back and sell it for him but that was not good enough for him. Grow up Paul.
Bought two standon mowers and a Honda commercial

Took my nearly new push mower after it didnt start after a long Texas winter. They called back after a few days, informing me that it was bad fuel and the warranty wouldnt cover it. They said theyve replaced the fuel but it still wouldnt start. Their solution is to replace the carburetor for $120 since it was too gummed up. I paid $25 diagnostic fee and took it home.I bought a can of cleaner from AutoZone and after 20 min of random spraying inside the removed carburetor, the machine started on the first pull. It wasnt too gummed up after all and it took 20 min of unprofessional labor to fix it. Draw your own conclusions.

The Owner Gene Stewart is very dishonest. He thought I stole a Stihl tool from him. He held $1,100 that belonged to me for a month to try to put me in a bind then decided to give it to me a month later on top of that he takes $10 away from what he owed me. How humble he is for a Christian. Had to report him to the department of labor for doing such unlawful acts. Be cautious it could still be on going. To add on top of it he calls to harrass me. FYI Gene theres caller ID for Carla as well. Customers beware of this business. Theres a reason why theyre rating is low. Ive seen him yell and argue with customers over ridiculous things not a way treat customers. Sooner or later people will see the real Gene. Thank you for your report maybe youll do one on yourself. Dont be surprised if you get a fine from the department of labor.

IMO, what you see is NOT what you get here.DISHONEST. Poor understanding of needs. Poor ethics. Lack of professionalism. Poor communication.UTTER LACK OF CONCERN when I explained that my business had failed do to employee theft -- and I requested to return an obviously unused, their tags still on, they had all receipts, never added fuel, stored in office, $700 Stihl backpack sprayer -- the current model (no newer model has been developed/released by Stihl) is on their shelf. They refused to GIVE ME ANY CREDIT, THE OWNER EVEN REFUSED TO HONOR THE 20% RESTOCKING DEDUCTION OFFERED BY A NICE OFFICE EMPLOYEE/LADY.This was a shock to me as this business PRETENDS to be a good old boy customer service to small business. My opinion is that the own is a fraud in this regard (deceit, trickery).Why do business here when there are so many other fine Stihl, Honda, Toro, B&S dealers in this area?! -- which, I found out, offer daily prices much lower than NTF&G!
