Had yellow wrench light on 2010 Ford Explorer. Codes said random misfire. Changed plugs. Still wrench. Changed wires. Still wrench. Ken did some heavy research on Ford and found old post on issues with old displays causing false yellow wrenches.Note original code p00300 is gone and AutoZone reader says no codes so Ken did fix the codes.Need to decide if it is worth $500 for a rebuilt display.Very happy with Kens determination to fix an intermittent problem.Very impressed with all of his customers opinion of the shop.If you have an easy problem, go to Ken.If you have a tough problem, go to Ken.Also thx to Terry and Sam!

I bought a 1995 corvette and on the way home from the dealer it was smoking from a major oil leak at the intake manifold. I used repair pal to get an estimate and they recommended Libertyville Kar Care. they set up an appointment right away and scheduled a loaner car for me. the work was done fast and even done for less than originally Quoted. I feel that shows that this shop is honest and trustworthy. I will be taking my car there from now on. I will recommend them to everyone.

Dont waste your time

Unfortunately my warranty company CarChex has been terrible but Sam and Ken at Kar Care have been excellent at working with them, greatly appreciated!They have a shuttle service and will drop me off at work and pick me up after or if will take more than the day will get me a rental and cover the 1st day. These little things make a big difference!

Ken is a fair honest kind and knowledgeable car guy - I’ve trusted two companies fleets of vehicle to Kar Care for the last four years . They went above and beyond on my ford sprinter van with honesty in the diagnosis and warrantied a repair in the power steering line that they could have lied and charged me for . A step above the dealers with fiat pricing and professional service . This is the best place to take my cars .

Got a tire plugged there for around $20.... back November 2017....so I decided to take my car there for an estimate and diagnosis on an exhaust system issue and a vibration issue. They charged $74.50 for my diagnostic, didnt give me a print out of the estimate but, stated that a new muffler, catalytic converter and all piping for $1000 something or an alternate repair for $500 something... The vibration needed new engine mounts for $880 something or recommended the warrantied mounts for $1200 something..... My car is a 97 Camry with 60K miles.....and not valued at the cost of the two repairs.Took my car 3 blocks west and got a new flex pipe for $175 installed and exhaust is running well.....

Had some work done. completed in a timely manner. will go back for all maintenance/repair issues.

Ken and his team have always been fair and honest in my multiple experiences with them. They never try to sell me unnecessary repairs, they keep me in the loop with ongoing repairs and have never done work on my vehicles without first calling and being up front about the cost. I own a 2005 Honda Civic, and I plan on Kar Care keeping it on the road for many miles more. Ken and his team of mechanics replaced an aluminum oil pan and cap, and a right engine mount for a very reasonable price.

Recently I’ve been doubting my regular mechanic. I called Kar Care asking if they could verify the problems my car supppsedly has and asked about an oil change. They got me in immediately and verified my ex-mechanic was raking me over the coals; both in pricing and what needed to be done. I will definitely be back anytime my vehicle needs work!

I’d been dealing with car issues for over a week, waiting on another shop to get back to me about even looking at my car. This place finally got around to getting me approval for a rental, as is needed for my warranty to pay the rental cost, but they were giving me a car much smaller than mine. I was desperate to get answers because I was in a time crunch, needing to travel in a few days time. I called Libertyville Kar Car and they helped me out that same day by arranging a tow to bring my car from the other shop back to them—and they looked at my car by the end of that same day. Turns out some pretty significant repairs were needed, so they helped arrange me with a rental that actually met my family’s needs size-wise. From start to finish these guys were helpful and thorough. I felt like they valued my business and were people I could trust. Hopefully I won’t need any more repairs any time soon, but when I do, I’ll definitely be back!

I took the car for a fault in the gearbox/cluth, and at the time of the pet, noting was detectes, anyway,Kar ave me the peace of mind, that something happens, he would go to help me. I did not have to pay for his services. THANKS LIBERTYVILLE KAR CARE!

I asked for a high mileage oil change. I got that. But I also got an inspection I was charged $20 and didn’t ask for it. 😳 Charged over $70.

I highly recommend taking your car in if you need work done. I took a car I was going to potentially buy in there and the check up they did on the car was beyond anything I could have asked for.I wish I lived closer as I would take my car in there no doubt about it!

Switched from the dealership based in a recommendation from a friend. So far I am really pleased! They got the car in right away and charged me a lot less than the dealership quoted.

Hired to inspect a used 2008 Camry Hybrid and note any defects or maintenance required. The inspection report was detailed and was able to perform maintenance at a reasonable rate.

Top notch all around.

Do not go there to install BAIID device. i made mistake and it cost me a day at work and tow expenses . While installing device they run the cord between front door and car body. It caused device to not receiving info from a blower. Shame......on them.
