Would not recommend. My family had them out twice. Once to inspect two fireplaces Kerns installed/maintained in my family’s home for the previous owner and then again because one of the fireplaces they said was fine stopped working shortly after the inspection and the other fireplace smelled like gas was leaking. No resolution to the problem. My family was told they don’t have replacement parts for the broken fireplace but could sell them one just like it and the gas smell was normal. Well guess what. The gas smell was not normal. They had a gas leak!!!

Bought a gas stove insert for my parents from this company. The staff were nice during the first visit and subsequent visits to the store. The installation team was professional and arrived in the scheduled time. Every issue we have had with the stove were minor and to tell the truth, wouldnt have been issues at all if I had read the manual more closely before asking for help. Even then, the staff suggested what I should try before scheduling a tech to visit.... Saving me money. The only issue I have with them is the distance from moms house. There were other options closer to home but the reviews of those places scared me. I have no regrets dealing with Kerns.

My dad was pretty happy with their service.

They installed a new gas fireplace insert into my mothers home and removed the old Buck Stove for her. The 2 installers ( Chad & Nate) were very polite and friendly. Answered all of my 75yo mothers questions about the remote, install process, suggested practices to be able to safely enjoy the insert for years to come.I would highly recommend Kerns to anyone looking for his type of product.

Had to wait to for their checkto clear but I stand by my review. Was refunded but will not do business with again. Shady business. Gave him the chance to remove the completely fabricated story they wrote but he refused. Steer clear of this place. Guy has a chip on his shoulder. Maybe try real estate john?Dont call them for service. Charged $189 for a 5 minute service call. This company will not be in business much longer. Terrible customer service and way overpriced.

Kerns is all about sales and nearly nothing about service. When I asked what they would suggest I do about a propane leaking deck heater their salesman, Jim, said I cant answer that. I will not go into that store again. Im sure they are happy about that.

We got our gas logs from them and had them installed. Everything works great and installation was quick.

Beware! Go to Clean Sweep! The people at Kerns were unprofessional and rude with my Mother after they installed the wrong unit in her house. They only resolved the issue after receiving notice that they were being sued. My family has since delt with Clean Sweep and have been very pleased.

Gas log insert is very nice I got

Installation experience was a nightmare. Not sure what they are charging for. My builder had to come back in to notch a rafter so they could run the flue, said to call them when ready to set the gas logs, then wanted an additional $110 for that, was not part of the deal, they said they would pay the installer. Installer showed up, set gas logs, said the plumber and electrician would need to finish when set up was right under the floor. Had to go buy $10 of batteries for remote because he was out. Was warned off this company, should have listened. I gave them a chance to make it right, they totally muffed it. Not sure if it was their subcontractors fault, but decided to post this because it is the companys responsibility to police their workers. Stay far away from Kerns Fireplace!
