My test of any diner is always an order of Eggs over Corned Beef Hash. This was average. Coffee is also another good indicator, which was also average. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Prices are reasonable.Update to owners reply: Glad to see a business being responsive to customers reviews. I will definitely visit and try other menu items. I do understand that Eggs and Corned Beef Hash is a hard item to showcase but that is my standard item to compare. Continue to keep on the pulse of the business by hearing your customers. I wish you the best.
This was our first time here and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I am vegan, and they have a separate vegan menu with a ton of items to choose from. We were 7 people and ordered 7 different meals, and everything was delicious. My family had the coleslaw and said it was really creamy and delicious and the pickes were great too. We had great service and will most definitely eat here again.
I give this diner 5 stars because honestly I have not been disappointed yet with the food. I am not fully vegan but I go for both vegan and non vegan food and enjoy it every time. Staff has never been rude or mean to me or my friends and last time they even made us aware that they were very backed up and food might take a while and made sure we still wanted to order instead of just having us wait for food. Highly recommend trying their many various food options, both vegan and non vegan.
Excellent from every point of view. Clean, shiny wonderful food…. So much food. So delicious I had the omelette with mushrooms and cheddar. My husband loved the lox Benedict. So many choices. Love this place, you have to go at least once a month to try the shake of the month. I also have gone a couple times recently for breakfast (bottomless mimosas!) Food is reasonably priced and its a good place for groups during half-priced apps at night. The servers are attentive while its busy. You can expect your food fast (within reason) regardless of how many other people are there.Most memorable moment for me is a waitress there (wish I could remember her name) began bringing me leftover milkshake from my fiances, in a little glass topped and all. Really love that service, Im sure it isnt easy. Thank you 💕
Good food. Great service. A little pricy compared to what Im used to in Florida and having moved from NY 25 years ago. Most people wont be able to finish a stack of pancakes so consider a short stack!

Been going here for over a year for my vegan take out and their quality is slipping I used to get the vegan Buffalo burger and it used to be dripping with cheese and Buffalo sauce lately it’s hardly had any cheese sauce just enough to lightly dampen the bun I could have just gone to the supermarket and bought an impossible burger and did that my self. Vegan take out is few and far between on the island and I used to refer all my friends here now it just seems like they’ve gotten complacent and are taking advantage of the fact that not a lot of other places have what they have but let another place like The Diner Boys In Merrick open up around here and it’s lights out for this place. I gave 3 stars because they were good in the past but now it’s just trash

This diner is the best in town! The food is fresh, plentiful and the chef is tops! The atmosphere is very comfortable. It is extremely well maintained. Ordered food that was supposed to be delivered by 6:44… called a little after 7 to find out where my food was and if the driver was on their way. I was told that they were backed up with orders and he’s on his way. Okay fine. 7:38 rolls around.. close to an hour after my food should’ve been delivered and I call back. I was immediately issued a refund just so as soon as I hang up the phone the driver pulls up and drops off my food. He gets in the car then gets back out again and goes and takes the bag of food off the porch and heads back to his car..I should’ve gotten that food for free for the inconvenience. Not to mention that I was late for work waiting for food that I never got.This is the second time I’ve ordered food from here and will be my last. The first time I ordered food it was cold by the time it got here and I don’t live that far. When I think about it this time around it would’ve probably been cold for the amount of time I was waiting…

Usually one of my favorite Diners on the island until today I ordered a large Greek salad to go with extra dressing on the side mind you it was 14$ and some change without any toppings which is fine I don’t my paying top dollar If it is good which it was not total waste of money and no dressing was given on the side or on the salad very upsetting, not to mention the salad was iceberg lettuce with olives thrown on top a piece of pepper and two grape leaves I threw it out and honestly I won’t be back again too much good composition in the area for mediocre food

Very friendly staff, sat at counter got right in. 10 min plus wait for tables. No one else at counter. Set up quick, coffee right away, order in pretty quick. Easy 20 min wait for eggs, while 15(?) orders went to pick up.Nice selections on menu, will be back for sure.
Where to start... The milkshakes are phenomenal. The service is always good, the vegan options are incredible (not a vegan btw), the serving sizes are great especially compared to the price and the place is always busy but never packed so you get some privacy. The impossible chili tots are out of this world. For diner standards this place is top tier. I travel 40 mins just to come here and there are decent diners around me.
Great food. Went there late night And didnt realize we were the only ones left because they were closed. Never bothered us at all. I guess thats why we didnt know lol. Thanks guys sorry for staying so late.
I have not been back home to Long Island in over 17 years. I have not eaten at the Lindenhurst Diner in almost 30 years. I am so glad I stopped in. While the place was quiet and only a few customers, it was very clean and the Staff were very friendly. I ordered the Reuben and it was enormous!! The absolute BEST Reuben I ever had anywhere, even Germany!! It was a very large portion with a large portion of fries as well. I can eat..... and I could barely finish. Excellent pricing, service, location, and food!! 5-Stars!! Sorry no photos of my Reuben. I ate it too fast!!
Went there last night / early AM. The lady working the front was very nice, greeted us right away, and seated us. That was about the only positive. We waited almost 20 mins for the server to come over to finally take our order. That was after I had to get up and ask the hostess if there was more than one server working. Again she was very polite and informed me there were 2 people on and would have someone over to take our order. Had we not been starving and already about 30 mins in the place, we probably would have left.Finally the server comes over. It was as if he was annoyed to be there making money. I ordered a shake which was really good. I felt the sandwich I ordered, Brooklyns Finest was lacking in the meat department, but still a decent sandwich. I asked for the fries well done / crispy, which at this point is not an uncommon request. However they came out regular.Had it not been for the kindess of the hostess, this rating would have been a lot lower.

Got take out and the food was hot pretty good absolutely worth getting again and visiting I tried here 4 years ago when they first reopened it wasnt that good but now like Ive said good food quick turn out give it a try.
The shake was really good but that’s the only good thing about my visit here. The pancakes I ordered were okay, not award worthy in my opinion. The spinach pie seemed reheated and the crust wasn’t crispy or fresh at all. Definitely disappoint 2/3 award winning items I ordered were sub par and I didn’t bother trying the coffee cake. I wouldn’t go again, not worth going out of the way for.

Came here with my fiancé and brother for a special birthday meal. We chose this diner because it had such an appealing and enormous vegan selection, and we were not disappointed, especially in the vegan breakfast quesadilla (that cheese sauce!!) and the vegan 3 berry pancakes. The staff was really friendly and engaging, and we had a wonderful time. 5/5 Stars, well be back for that impossible meat gyro sometime very soon!
OMG Goodness!! Was going to take my dad here for breakfast but he couldn’t make it so I decided to get take out. I don’t normally do breakfast take out but I was really looking forward to breakfast.Holy Toledo it was excellent!! One flaw was the toast, whatever they use as ‘butter’ no good, next time plain toast. Everything Else was so freaking good!!Next I will have to try lunch take out, I have a feeling I won’t be disappointed. Thank you for such a yummy breakfast, it was needed!

Slow service from the young male waiter on a recent AFTERNOON=not during ANY meal rushes.**** The bus boy was better than the waiter so I tipped him also but I should Not have had to. I still gave the waiter slightly more because that is customary but it was with great reluctance on my part. I have been doing sit down & takeout here for 4 years but why would I go back when The Lindencrest is just down the street with better service???
First off their food is AMAZING!! Always so fresh and hot but such fast service I cannot say it enough. Everyone there are so super nice and bubbly! My girlfriend and I go to this diner constantly, it is our #1 all time favorite diner. They don’t just have a huge variety of foods to pick from but have delicious desserts as well! Trust us!! Just awful, everything we ordered was terrible tasting, we ate it only because we were starving and hate wasting food. But dont make our mistake, dont waste your money. We went 7/5/21 the service was terrible! I had to keep flagging down waiter, he was probably one of the worst waiters Ive ever had....onion rings were so greasy they were inedible, avocado Benedict was smothered in sauce it made the English muffin soggy, potatoes were tasteless, just awful. Never going there again!
Went to eat there with my sister enlaw and our kids, for Mothers day dinner. Spent $147.00. Food was good. We noticed that they gave 🌹to the white women who came in after us, but not us. Not cool at all!! So if your white, it will work for you, but not for a person of color!!!!

Diner looks sick from the out side at night! That is why I gave it a two star. Besides that it lands in my top 5 worst diners!Had eggs with home fries, bacon, and toast. I requested some Nutella for my toast and the waitress seemed extremely confused. I explained I enjoy putting Nutella on my eggs and I saw they have Nutella pancakes so they must have Nutella.After three attempts at brining me Nutella (no joke) I kept receiving chocolate syrup and caramel in plastic container. Did not bother to even lie and let me know theyre out of it!To top it off the owner who asked how my experience was, decided it was a good idea to yell at me and how he can bring me the jar of Nutella out from the back.Yeah good one pal! Taco bell breakfast is better at this point.

8t was my first time visiting. I had heard that the food was good from a friend. The place was very clean and the food wes good and fresh.Because it was Xmas, they had a fixed price menu. I ordered a turkey dinner that came w mashed potatoes and green beans. It tasted delicious. It came w rice pudding. That was good and fresh. I highly recommend this diner.
I am impressed with the family amosphere this diner has to offer. The waitstaff was very attentive. The hostess was polite and when leaving a smile and a pleasant Have a nice day. Was exchanged.Now for the food. I ordered the Bronx Tale Omelette it was very tasty and the portion could serve 2 people. But what surprised me was the homefries. They actually had some flavor to them. It wasnt just cut up potato which the surrounding diners have. And finally the coffee. They give you coffee in a nice size mug not a tea cup SMART!I will be returning again in the near future to try out their dinner menu.
Great diner with attentive service. They serve vegan burgers with vegan cheese for the cheapest price around. Also very happy to say that I was seriously impressed with the updated and improved vegan menu. The chickn is absolutely phenomenal- tastes incredibly real and full of flavor! The grilled cheese was a little underwhelming- I definitely like the cheeze sauce, but its not what I expected to be put in a sandwich. Also I strongly encourage this diner to serve the vegan tomato soup more often! Overall, everything was very satisfying! (Pictured: grilled cheese, chickn parmesan pasta, and buffalo chickn wrap).

I was here pre-covid and the service was terrible thought maybe after covid it got better but it did not. Waited over 40 minutes for the meal and it was if anything average. I love diners but this is not one I would go to again. Besides the service being extremely slow I ordered a Greek salad with grilled chicken. The grilled chicken was so hot that I ate a hot salad which is never a good thing. Sorry to say because I like to give local businesses my business

Why I am giving 2 stars-1 star is because they had a Great Waiter who I am sure was following whatever management wanted. The other star is because some of the vegan dishes we had were not bad. But the Chickn n waffles was not what I expected nor the vegan tacos really dry and bland. Went for Mothers Day with my sister-in-law but noticed women that were white received a flower except for us. The interesting part was some of the women came in after us. Not cool.Responding to your response:I am not sure if how I felt after leaving the diner will change even if I did receive a flower afterwards but I would hope no one else encounters the feeling of not feeling wanted or not feeling right enough for your establishment. I stated what I saw and even the response you provided on my google review did not answer how women who were white received flowers after we sat down, ate, and was on the way out. I would like to hope that someday we are not subjected to the color of our skin but treated equal as everyone else.

They are a great diner in general with friendly staff and good food. They also have a nice big vegan menu that they keep adding to (and for which the food is also delicious). I will go ahead and say this is probably the best restaurant on LI for vegans and non-vegans to eat together.

While the staff and service is very nice, the food - eh. The first time I went, my wife and I went because we were interested in the Vegan menu, and truly appreciate that they are the only LI diner to offer such an extensive, apps to desserts, menu for plant-based eaters.THANK YOU! I had the impossible meat (tacos), she a bean burger. Both pretty good. I also tried the cauliflower bite/wings which were DELICIOUS, and she the hummus platter. The hummus was delicious, but the platter was served with some pita chips and the regular, old, rounded, bite-sized Tostitos. I was shocked that they just popped open a bag of those infamous snacks and threw those on the side. Why not some carrots sticks, peppers, cucumbers, etc.? Make it a healthier vegan option not just fatty pita bread pieces and highly processed Tostito chips. I tried the diner again yesterday (6/18/21) with two friends, and they were so sadly disappointed. The burger buns were dry beyond consumption, and I felt like a dope for suggesting the place. It was after noon too, and when I asked for a baked potato instead of fries, they didnt have any. Again, really? I really wish theyd tweaked the menu a bit to make the vegan, plant-based options a little healthier, and all the suggestions I would advise dont alter the menu much, nor are they super expensive. Anyway, I dont think Ill be returning unless I really need a vegan fix thats not possible to get somewhere else (which it is at the International Delight Cafe in Bellmore). While I appreciate the effort, theres no reason for a bad burger bun (they sell those along with the tostitos in the store and make really good ones at that).

I had a pastrami sandwich and my friends had burgers. The pickle and Cole slaw was good and the Italian salad was free table food. They were nice. But overall I thought everything was average after having my main course. Lacked some oomph at the end. Nice interior and good service from our waitress.

The service and people were very good, but I thought the food was average. Not that it was bad but average. We both had burgers and both were slightly overcooked. My wife ordered medium rare and there was very little pink or red. I ordered medium and there was no pink at all. Place was very clean.

Went to the lindenhurst diner for our Thanksgiving dinner and wow, what a feast! Everything was delicious and plentiful. At $25.00 a platter I dont know how they made a profit! Plenty of Thanksgiving leftovers. The service was just as good ! We will definitely be going back!
