The team at this AAMCO location went above and beyond my expectations to get my vehicle ready for me to drive 1100 miles from Illinois to Florida just before some bad weather came to Chicago. They do quality work and really care for there customers. I really appreciate them.

On 10/7/2020 I took my truck in because there is something going on with the power steering, and Alex, one of the mechanics, told me my trans cooling pipes were very rusted and should be changed. I only went here because I could walk back to my shop. I requested that only Alex look at the truck because I do not trust the other mechanic, JJ, any more. Well, JJ supposedly looked at the truck and claims there is nothing wrong with it, even though there is fluid pouring out on to the ground. By the time I got to Firestone, about a mile away, there wasnt enough fluid left in the radiator for them to even take it for a test drive. Final bill from Firestone was $1500 to fix a multitude off issues that JJ ignored. Stay away from these people.4

AAMCO in Lisle ROCKS!! Nile was great to work with, he understands how to provide great customer service. Having to pay for unexpected repairs is never fun, but Nile took the time to explain how much the parts cost and the price of labor. I was kept in the loop regarding my transmission repair and I was pleasantly surprised that he did not try to sell me a new transmission. I took my car in for an oil change. $42 later, thats all I got. No fluid top offs, no tire inflation checks, nothing. I now say I used to take my car here. I have had other service done here in the past, Brakes, tie rods to name a couple, but now that they are a corporate store their prices have more than doubled. They do good work, but the service and front desk have totally dropped.

The manager I worked with is John Kennedy and professional. He was very knowledgeable about my transmission issues and provided excellent service. I am very satisfied with the treatment I received. My car was done in the timeline that he said it would be, and explained the process of what was wrong with the car. I am quite pleased with the condition of my car and I will bring my car back here if future service is needed.

I finally got to write my review. I needed a oil change desperately, so I could go get my emissions test done before 4/30. So, many places would not take me. But the nice guy who was at front desk at Amaco Transmission was outstanding. I asked him to look at my car first, and tell me if you can help with oil change. He said yes we can, you might have to sign a waiver but I’mSure we can. He, asked his technician, and they said they would do it. I was happy customer. And I would refer them to anyone. Ive gone to AAMCO in Lisle for my oil changes numerous times and they have always done an excellent job. The staff is very courteous, and they perform the oil change quickly and Ive never encountered a problem with the service. Their price for the oil change is very reasonable, much lower than what the car dealership charges and it is easy to get an appointment which will work with my schedule. Theyve even modernized the customer waiting room, providing TV and reading materials to help pass the time while I wait. Although I have not had any major work done on my car, I definately would recommend AAMCO in Lisle for your next oil change!

Went in for an oil change. Very friendly customer service was given by Nile. The price is much better than any other place in the area. Definitely recommend and will be a repeat customer.

My transmission was going out on my car and I just knew I couldn’t afford to pay it all at once. I was nervous that I would have to trade it in as is and start all over with financing a used car and having once again a car note. I took it to several places who all wanted to over charge and wanted the $ up front before they would order the new trans. Last resort before trading it in to a dealer, I took it to AAMCO Transmission, Kolt was very helpful and explained the financing options that were available. He was able to complete a full inspection on my vehicle for free!! Kolt replaced my transmission (brand new) brakes, rotors and my wheel axel. He was able to get me back on the road safely and efficiently in less than 2 days. He also showed me the parts he replaced and how corroded and worn out they all were. He kept me In the loop every step of they way. I never felt like I was being nickeled and dime like every other place I went to prior. I will never go to another mechanic and I probably won’t need to (besides oil changes) for a very long time. Kolt deserves a big raise or bonus. Thanks again AAMCO I will recommend this place to all my friends and family!!!

We had to pull over and hotel it as it was a Sunday and everything was closed.Monday 7:30A called 3 Chevy dealers and AAMCO. Nile was the only one who could get me in. He knew we were stuck and expedited our repair, tracking down a part for our older ‘99 Suburban.We were back on the road by 5PM, and it’s shifting like a champ.Highly recommend you give them a try.Thanks guys- enjoy the cold winter ;) just rubbing it in as I endured it for 50 some odd years..on to warmer climes.

My check engine light came on and I first took my car down the street to another mechanic who was saying i needed 950 dollars worth of work plus charged me 100 dollars to even look at it. This didnt sit right with me so I took it to Kolt at Aamco who not only did an entire car inspection for FREE, but charged me hundreds less than the first mechanic I went to. (Diehl). Kolt is a humble and knowledgeable guy that isnt trying to upsell you or rip you off. I trusted him and it was clear he knew what he was talking about. I felt good about his work after leaving his shop and I will most certainly be back if, God forbid, anything were to go wrong with my car again.

Kevin and the transmission repair technician were honest, helpful, and courteous. A test drive, diagnostic testing, and disassembly of my 2008 Hyundai Elantra transmission revealed that its 10 year old transmission needed either rebuilding or replacement due to a damaged hydraulic pump body. Kevin saved me between 900 and 1,200 dollars by suggesting that I buy a rebuilt transmission from a third party and have AAMCO install it instead of having my damaged transmission rebuilt. I took his suggestion and opted to buy an extended warranty from the same third party through AAMCO for about $250 of the money I had saved, in case the rebuilt replacement transmission had some kind of problem after installation.

Had a transmission leak and decided to take it ti the experts. Agreed to pay $800 for them to disassemble the trans and give me a quote on repairs. The total bill for a rebuild and three other small repairs was quoted at just over $3100. After 6 working days I had to call to find out the trans was not shifting right after the rebuild. Finally picked up the car 2 days later and the bill as $250 more than quoted and nobody could explain why. If you have money to burn, and want to pay for someones on the job training, then this is the shop for you.

After my long time mechanic drop the ball on identifying my noise problems I called Nile at Aamco. Tony evaluated the problems by doing a FREE inspection and explaining my options. He even brought me into the repair bay and showed me what was going on undernieth my truck! Nile kept me informed during repairs with specific info on costs. After keeping a mechanic after hours on a Saturday my truck was ready as promised. I am now driving a noise free ride and the security that I know its safe! Thanks to the Aamco Lisle Team for getting it done.

STAY AWAY!!Took my jeep in because the transmission was acting up on me. I told them what was going on, and all my research came up with the solenoid was the problem. I told them that. I spoke with one of the mechanics, and he even said yea it could very well be just the solenoid. I was told that it would be free to look at it.I get a call the next day saying that I needed to have the entire transmission rebuilt at a cost of $2,500. In the next breath the guy said he will buy my jeep off of me. I told him that I am not paying that, and I will be in to pick it up. He then told me the bill was $100. that he had to put some labor in to look at it.When I go to pick up my jeep the ABS light is on in it. I go in to tell them, and he tried to blame it on the cold weather. When I told him that the vehicle sits outside all the time, and has been in colder weather than what it was outside. His response was all we did was just drive it So what is it, did you put in labor in to look at the trans, or did you just drive it?When looked online I found rebuild kits for $120. so they wanted to charge me $2,380 for labor then?He jacked up the price thinking he is either going to scam me out of $2,500 or get me to sell my jeep to him. Not going to happen.I went to another mechanic and for $400 he replaced all the solenoids, spring, filter, and fluids. The Jeep runs perfect now. no issues.This aamco is full of scam artist trying to rip you off!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!

My experience was just okay dropped my car off to have work done left it there found out that everybody who came in that day who decided to stay at the facility and sit in the waiting had priority and got done first. Didnt get my car back to the next day if I knew that I would have sat in the waiting room the whole day and have my car worked on first as I was the first person to drop it off. Also car had to go back the second time.

After getting a quote of over $1,300 to repair the trans on my old Thunderbird, I went here.After the free look at my problem, they told me it was not a transmission problem, but jusy a vacuum hose issue.Totally fixed my problem AND did an oil change for $100.Great guys, and they know cars!

Not too many people nowadays that are good with customer service, but Nile was very professional and helpful. Also, I went in thinking I was going to pay an arm and a leg but it ends up a lot less, thats always a benefit.

John and his team has a builder onsite that was able to determine the Internal issues and fix those. Ive done well over 1k miles since the job and car runs flawlessly! I took my car in for an oil change last week only to discover I had a transmission leak. When I took my car into AAMCO, Lisle - Jon was very friendly, very helpful. The shop was down 2 mechanics, but they still accomodated my inspection. I scheduled a flush and some small seal repairs. They did not treat me like an typicl ignorant woman, and they were very personable!!!
