I felt extremely ripped off bc they failed to mention that if you dont return your uhaul on time that they would charge you for two days. i was three hours late and charged an extra $74. It was not explained well, Ive rented uahuls before and returned them after hours and it was no big deal. I called and customer service was they were extremely understanding and nice and worked with me. just tell them you want 24 hours or call if youre going to be late! yesterday i wrote a poor review and left one star but after dealing with customer service Im leaving 3.
Do not park your car here for storage! No cameras in the corner were they put the cars. Someone stole car parts from my car and if anything happens on their property it’s still on you to pay etc smh costing me over 3,000 bucks. You think your car is safe and sound but it isn’t and the company does nothing to help at all! No insurance for park cars not on camera sight either
Extremely helpful. I was a new trailer user, they spent the time to review the specifics and how to operate my vehicle with the extra large trailer. The rental was so easy by this team. I would recommend this location to anyone.
I dont leave reviews unless I feel like Ive been treated poorly. The drop off experience at this UHAUL location was very undesirable. As a minority Asian American, it feels like discrimination. As a relocating training doctor to the Little Rock area during an ongoing COVID19 pandemic, it feels like further insult to injury.The issue involved whether I filled the gas tank of the 15 rental truck to the appropriate level at my drop off. My partner and I picked the truck up with the fuel gauge slightly above the half-way mark, and we filled the tank up to more than the half-way mark before dropping it off. We were very careful and cognizant of UHAULs equipment, even buying insurance protection. When we arrived at this location, the UHAUL agent stated that we had not fill the gas tank up to the 9/16th mark even though the fuel gauge indicator was slightly past the half-way mark. There are not even 8 or 16 hash marks on the fuel gauge on this truck. He told us we could pay 5x extra for a fuel charge or go back and fill it up a smidgen more to the 9/16th mark.Out of principle, I had to drive it to the nearest gas station to fill it up to this imaginary 9/16th mark and took it back to the UHAUL location. Of course, they added on an extra mileage charge, but I feared they were going to add on an extra day rental charge because I got it back at 9:01 AM instead of 9:00 AM due to extra hassle of 2 refuelings.Lets not even talk about the undue stress of scheduling this UHAUL 2-3 days in advance only to get it within the last minute of the scheduled reservation.Customer service needs improvement, at least to this imaginary 9/16th mark as well.

Hey U-Haul! Y’all hiring? Because you could definitely use some extra help, at this location AND the Tulane Ave location in New Orleans where I rented a trailer twice. Every time I’ve gone into either location, there has been only one employee at the counter, even though there are 3 registers for helping customers, causing my quick trip to turn into an hour-long process, even when I’ve checked in and paid ahead of time online. Y’all could also really use some telephone receptionists, as every single time I’ve called, the wait time on hold has been AT LEAST 15-20 minutes. There are lots of people out of work right now that would be glad to get a job at U-Haul. Despite being under-staffed, all of the employees I have interacted with have been friendly, helpful & courteous.
They called me the night before I’m supposed to move to tell me they don’t have any trucks available (which I reserved days before) and I either have to wait three hours for a truck or switch to a cargo van. They also called me so late that everyone else was closed so I couldn’t even call around to other truck rentals to try and get another truck.
This U haul center is the most misleading place.....they charge you for things ...just to get your money....they didnt have zero stars ....they dont even deserve one star......if anyone is thinking about using the u haul on kanis.....please use another one ....RUN RUN RUN from U haul on kanis road....
Do not trust this location if you travel from out of town. Weve had a trailer stolen from our hotel. After they contacted us about turning it in and we werent supposed to turn it in there. But return back with us and they mysteriously recovered it the day we left after renting another one. And never informed us and want a police report.
Drive to Sherwood. This place is chaotic. The manager needs to go.
One of the better uhaul places, rent a truck, get a truck. This location does have more trucks then others . Call first to check if they have your size truck if you need 1 quickly. If not they will get you the size you need by using the online reservation.
In person my experience was great but the phone service is awful. I’ve called 15 or 16 times since last night and they are not answering the phone and when automated services answer it gives me a busy signal?Just drive down there and talk to a person.
I ordered a trailer hitch from Uhaul over (8) days ago for our vacation to Florida tomorrow - paid in advance. They called me this morning to say the hitch is back ordered?!?!? Why does it take eight days to tell me a part is back ordered? This is the 21st century not 1980? Thanks for ruining our vacation by making us scramble to find another way to get our trailer down to Florida. EXTREMELY unreliable!! Someone dropped the ball in Uhaul and the Customer Pays For It...
CC info stolen and manager didnt care.I only used my CC (I keep it in case of emergency) at this location and the staff claimed they needed multiple copies of my Drivers license & also took pictures on their cell phones. Not 2 days after I returned the truck my CC was used to purchase video game consoles at Walmart through online purchases. I was able to immediately call and cancel my card, but when I spoke to the manager there after I reported it to police, he didnt care at all.
Extremely unimpressed with this hub. Quoted one price. Arrived $50 more. Didn’t use all our miles... no refund. Said we used more miles then we did even though I wrote down exact mileage but they were unable to verify my numbers minutes from time I exited truck as it was “ already moved”. Whole experience left me not ever going back
Angela & the rest of the staff went above and beyond to help me with information on what I needed as well as helped me load up my vehicle even though it was raining. They were incredibly kind & so very helpful over the phone as well as in person. Id definitely recommend this place if you are needing boxes or to rent a U-Haul. The store is well stocked & they have a great website too.
I rent trailers from U-haul on a regular basis and have used this location on several occasions. Id first like to say that the manager, Angela, is exceptional. She is sharp, caring, and will consistently go out of her way to help. There are other very nice and competent employees there as well. However, you should know that every so often you will get a very rude person with a terrible attitude, which is why I only gave this location three stars for this review. That said, if Angela or a couple of others wait on you it will be a great experience but there is at least one employee working there that will test your patience for sure due to her shamelessly rude attitude.
I would rate this U-Haul a zero if I could. I had the worst experience at the U-Haul on Kanis Road, Little Rock, AR. They gave us the wrong truck, and would not take responsibility for their error. They realized their mistake when Angela called, and asked me for our truck number. When I tried to contact her back about this issue, I was on hold for over 15 minutes before someone answered the phone, at which time they indicated to me that I needed to speak to someone else in customer service. Well, no one ever came back to the phone after another grueling 15 minutes or more.When we finally made it to the Kanis location to turn the truck back in, rather than working it out with us, they proceeded to say everything was our fault, and then overcharged us on the ticket because they could not figure out how to fix the issue they created in the first place. I dont feel we should have to pay for their mistake.The male manager was argumentative, and not at all cooperative. I felt he, and his staff were totally unprofessional. The employees at this location need to be retrained on professionalism, and quality customer service.I am highly disappointed, and extremely dissatisfied with the quality of service that I received, so I cannot in good faith recommend this U-Haul to anyone, because I will no longer rent from them.
Do business at your own risk! The “owner” is VERY rude with a very unprofessional attitude. She babysits in the store, it’s dusty, & unorganized. MODERN STORAGE is new in gown & offer a FREE moving truck if you use their storage facilities. Very professional, up to date and actually friendly with customers who choose to do business with them. I DO NOT recommend this uhaul company. It’s sad how that lady talks to people.

I entered the store no greeting i approached counter...no greeting...i had to say hello only to get a dry ass hello by Teresa who didnt even give any type of eye contact she was counting her drawer must have been quitting time still dosent excuse anything i stood there for a few more minutes and the gentlemen finally told me they were changing drawers and it would be a moment... At the end of the day they need a lesson on customer relations you speak to customers when they enter your your business you make them feel like they are welcome and appreciated this bunch of employees did NOT!!!!
This trip with U-Haul was the worst experience Ive ever had moving. Ive even used this location several times and this was just terrible. I reserved a truck over 2 weeks in advance to be picked up at 7 am Saturday for a move to Texas. Scheduled my entire move around this pick up time. Friday morning before i was supposed to pick up the truck, I got a call saying that I would have to use the North Little Rock location and I had to pick it up at 1 pm, 6 hours later than i needed it. Annoying, but not the end of the world.Saturday I call about 12:30 to make sure the truck is ready for me to pick up and Im told they didnt even have a truck for me. No trucks that day or the next day, Sunday. The next truck available was MONDAY. That was it. No one said they would try to help me fix the situation, no apology nothing. Just well let you know if something becomes available. Im moving to Texas. Ive got work Monday. I dont have time just to wait to hear back. It would have been nice if someone said they would try to figure something out and keep me in the loop.No one even offered to help find a new truck, any size truck. When i called the reservation hotline, the only option presented to me was for me to drive 2 hours to pick up a truck in another city. When I told them I couldnt do that their response was basically, tough luck. Not even, well keep looking. Finally I called the North Little Rock location again and spoke with Tony. Tony was excellent. This rating would be ZERO if not for Tony. He gave me an apology, showed some empathy, and then proceeded to check with every single location in the area, dealers included, to make sure there wasnt a single truck I could use.Finally, Tony found me a truck, bigger than I needed, but certainly acceptable. At that point, I was 9 hours behind schedule and just needed a truck. Its infuriating that I based 5 peoples entire trips, including several flights, off of that assumption that I would receive a truck at the time and place I reserved it.Seriously, if it wasnt for Tony, this whole weekend would have been an enormous waste of time and money and this review would be 1/5. You da man Tony.

I had a trailer hitch installed on a small SUV. So far as I know they did a good job of installing it, but I havent hauled anything with it yet and assume the wiring was properly installed. I had a box of items in the back. I did not know it was necessary to access the interior to install the wiring. The guy just dumped the box of items all over the back. Also, I made the reservation online selecting from the menu which generated a total. After the installation, the total was the same, but I paid more somehow because I didnt get the $10 wiring warranty which I had selected.
I was closer to the Colonel Glenn store, i did my registration there. I had to put on a hitch to my Suv at the Kanis location. So i had the hitch put on a week before i went out of state. After it was put on by Kanis location, the following week i picked up the trailer i was using at colonel glenn store. I told them i was going to leave at 3am sat morning. Picked up trailer pluged in lights and they did not work. They had me switch trailers and again did not work. Then on the 3rd attempt. And last trailer, they said to take back to kanis and have them look at it. They called and let them know i was coming there. Had to wait almost 2 hours to have them look at it, then after about 1 1/2 hours they asked if i could leave in daylight so i would not need lights. I said i still need brake lights. I told them you put hitch on last week so i can leave on time. He said i dont know what he did, so he did the whole thing over, and were getting mad at me, he wanted me to take it with no lights. Will not use again.

The girl in the front took my credit card information on the phone and made reservation for me, two days later i received a phone call say im not booked. I was confused, called them 3 times and they counldnt know whats wrong after 30 minutes. So i had to drive there and talk to them. Oh~ guess what, they act like it is not their fault and they said i dont know who answered the phone and took your card information, but you are not in the system. As i was trying to make a new reservation, the lady was not willing to help the new girl. And she look at me very unfriendly, she was rude. with all that rude attitude, no wonder why this place only got 3.4 star on google. DO NOT COME HERE
My experience I just had at this place today was pretty horrible I highly doubt if I will be back to this Uhual let alone any uhual after dealing with this. ALLISON ZUSPAN has the worst customer service skills I’ve ever seen she walks around as if the customers owe her, don’t forget you need customers to stay in business. It all started when I was returning my uhaul, or maybe it started before then when I first picked up the uhual I sensed she had a attitude in her demeanor at he beginning but I didn’t pay it any mind because our interaction was brief.But lets begin with my experience, I only needed a uhual truck for 24hrs but the day before I was schedule to return the truck I called and ask what would be my fee if I had to return the uhual truck 1hr late. I ask this because I have no problem with paying a late fee. But She stated I would have to pay for another day. I’m like wow if I’m late I will have to pay for a whole other 24hrs (at the rate of $77 a day) she responds yes you will with an attitude. I didn’t understand this and with this being on my mind I am only hoping I’m not 1hr or 2 minutes late because this lady will definitely charge me for this. So the next day comes and I happen to be 1hr late as I expected I did all I could but I still was 1hr late so I get there and try to tell her my situation and try to come to an agreement of me possibly paying a late fee or something instead of another 24hrs for a truck that I won’t have. She wasn’t having it she’s responds no you’re going to pay for another 24hrs I had to inconvenience 2 customers because of you where not here. (Inconvenience 2 customers... oh I’m not a customer anymore I don’t matter lol what about atleast conveniencing 1 customer) but no I’m not viewed as a customer at this point I guess because I’ve already paid she has my card info and contract is already signed so I don’t matter anymore. Speaking of contract while trying to come to an agreement with her she says “go look at your contract, if you’re 1hr late you’re getting charged for another day!” I didn’t want to go back and look at a contract it wasn’t about that it was about having common curtoursy.Other things to note about this incident when I pulled up with the truck while returning before I could even walk in the door to speak with a uhaul rep she screams you can’t park there park over there. (I was parked next to the other uhuals) I moved the uhual truck and parked under the garage area as requested.When I go in wait in line to to speak to a agent to return the keys and check the vehicle back in. She comes inside and not screaming this time she was pretty loud in a rude manner and says “you have to remove all your belongings out of the front of the vehicle.”Mam I know this I am returning the keys first (I didn’t say this but this is what I was thinking.)My response “I planned on returning the keys first and then getting my things when I get in my personal vehicle” her response “I’ll take the keys”We eventually went back and forth for some time and I came to the conclusion if I have to pay for another 24hrs I will keep this uhual truck myself for 22hrs and then return it and that is exactly what I did.Just horrible this is too much to have to go through with a simple service being offered. Customer service goes along way I rent from uhual often for one of my business uses but I will do everything in my power to not have to go back to this location again. She’s horrible. Step it up please!!!!!!!!

This was my first time using this location and i had a great over all experience. I went in very late on friday night with no reservation and they were able to get me in a truck just like i needed. I initially thought i would only need it for 24 hours but the next day i realized i was going to go over i started to worry and called them. They were very helpful and told me not to worry and that they would just put me down for another day. I delivered it after hours on a Sunday night and called the next morning to check and make sure it was all ok. The woman on the phone was again very helpful and polite. Ill definitely be using them again if needed.
I tried to call to ask if they could fill my propane tank, but the phone won’t let you through. So I went to this place they said they’re equipment was broken but sent me to another location. The other location had propane but no one on site would pump it. Avoid these businesses.

Nightmare. We had an in-depth discussion in front of the person who we got our truck from discussing that there is a drop off location right by our house. We are from out of town and it wasnt feasible to drive all the way back. We took the truck to the location on Maps that was right by our house, but they are no longer a Uhaul. Went to 2 other locations nearby, both showed hours online stating that they were open. Neither was open. Went to a 4th location who was open and they advised us that they were going to charge us $200 because we werent returning the truck to the store we rented it from. Well, thats a joke. So we drove all the way back into town to drop it off at the original store. We called the store on our way there and the same lady who we got the truck from answered. We told her about our little adventure and she said, Ill talk to you when you get here! and hung up. When we got there she told us she was the assistant manager and her manager will be back in the morning. Well see how that goes.
The people were all extremely rude and could give proper directions on what you were to do. The old black man even argued with me that there was only one U-haul truck on the lot and why couldnt I see it( among the 30 or so that were out front.)
Very friendly lady at the front desk. This past Saturday morning, the line to pick up a truck moved a little slowly, but overall not that bad.
Very unprofessional asst. manager Yuhera(?) Dixon. After having to listen to her breathe into the phone and hold external conversations she was not only unable to help but was contradictory about WHY she was unable to help . . .smh
I reserved a truck from this office over a month in advance, and a few hours before I was scheduled to pick it up, they called and told me that my reservation had been cancelled. They said that if I still wanted a truck in that size, then I would have to drive to another city to get it. The lady I spoke with wasnt sympathetic or apologetic at all. In fact, she acted like I shouldve expected this to happen. I had to fight them to get my deposit back, too. Terrible service, and I will never try them again.

I had gotten a u-haul hitch 10 years ago at another location. I had problems with the wiring recently and this location kept the lifetime warranty promise and fixed the worn out wiring issue free of charge.
