Ace is like all other buildind stores right now..not much stock..stores are hit and miss right now..if one store doesnt have it..go to another that does

What happened to the Hispanic guy that use to work in the shop? He always took care of things right! The repair shop has definitely gone way downhill!

8/19/20- needed a replacement shop light fixture for the garage. Shopped local first. Ace had what I needed at a very reasonable price. Customer service was friendly and efficient. Sometimes it pays to avoid the big box placed.

My parents gifted us a Propane Fire Pit for Christmas. We picked it up in the store and upon assembly realized it was defective. My husband returned it today only to be told they dont do returns on the spot he had to leave it and they would do all the returns either tonight or tomorrow and my fathers credit card would then be refunded. My husband several times demanded a receipt to which he was told, I wrote on your original receipt that it needs to be canceled. He again said were not canceling the order we are returning it, and would like a refund receipt. She said she would probably get to it tomorrow and would take his number down and call him when its done. This is absurd. We are heading out of town so we had no choice but to take her word with a 30 day return policy it would be beyond the return period if we waited! If its not refunded tomorrow we will be contacting corporate.

Love this location soooo much!!! Great sales associates and awesome customer service. Bryan specifically I hope is at the store whenever I shop there. Hes always been extremely knowledgable on pretty much everything and I strongly suggest to try to hunt him down of you can.

Guys in the chainsaw repair shop out back don’t know what they are doing. They can talk a good game but really don’t know how to repair a chainsaw. I ended up going to buda and had my STIHL chainsaw repaired.

Alice voice about a block away and every time that I need something always find someone that can help me and if I can talk to it correctly for a DIY Alchemy hints on how to do it I love this place should visit it and keep Lockhart Inn Commerce here at home.

Went in to buy a STIHL chainsaw and bring in a repair. the gentleman seemed like he knew what he was talking about but ultimately was full of it. Didn’t know how to repair my year old STIHL chainsaw. I left it and 4 days later I stopped by and he claimed it had low compression. I took it to San Marcos and they told me it was fine just a bad fuel line and fixed it that same day. I tried to stay local but It was a big waste of time. Go to San Marcos or Austin.

One of the female cast years older Hispanic woman heavy set was upset because it was so many people doing returns as if she was giving the money out of her pocket

Way over priced

I purchased a new Stihl trimmer fs131r. Nothing came with it. No booklet. NOTHING. No adjustment tools. I asked for a blade kit and was given a plastic sleeve washer. I’m not impressed with the service I was given for the amount of money I spent. Now I have to drive 16 miles to take my chances of them correcting the issue or not. I thought I’d support local but I should have gone to a real Stihl dealership.Update: I went back and was given another “incomplete “ blade kit without the washer or blade guard and told that is how they are selling them now. They had no clue what the plastic sleeve I was given the first time even went to. So I came back home and put the blade on. Within 15 minutes the blade was loose. I called Stihl and explained everything and they told me to stop using the trimmer and to take it back and I was told that was not the correct kit I was sold. They are going to contact me after they get in touch with ace to correct the dangerous situation.

This store always has friendly service. I do my best to spend my money here rather than the big box store.

A really great small town hardware store. You can get almost anything there to fix almost anything. Pat is the resident expert.

The guy with the beard that works out back is useless. Doesn’t know what he is talking about. Couldn’t even fix my 3 year old echo trimmer. They need to get rid of this guy.

This stores echo department is terrible. The sales people are not very good. I will be taking my business elsewhere.
