Wanted a wax on my car. Had had a fender repaired and he said he couldnt wax that part of the car. That was the part I wanted protected but otherwise I was pleased.
Great experience.
One of the best mechanics around! I trust him completely with all my cars.
Great service always at a great priceIve been going to PAL for at least 5 years and got things fixed right the first time.Brads a great guy who makes you feel like family, and will always go the extra mile to make sure youre happy when you leave.
Do not trust this mechanic. My girlfriends car broke down in front of this shop. It had leaking transmission cooler lines it was a pretty easy fix but I did not want to be bothered with fixing the lines on the side of the road or try to attempt to drive the vehicle home and risk running the transmission dry and causing more damage to the car.So I drove the car the half of a mile up to this shop and it was a huge mistake. He never called me to authorize the job or give me a price quote. My girlfriend called a few times during the day and know one was picking up the phone. Finally she got somebody to answer the phone around noon but this person had no automotive knowledge or had any clue what was going on with our car.So I called and spoke with the person around 2 pm she said they ordered the parts and our car would be done by the end of the day ok fine. So when I go to pick the car up he hands me a laundry list of things the car needed.I authorized repairs for the transmission leak the day prior but it is still standard procedure to call the customer with a estimate before you order any parts and if he would have called me he may have gotten more work out of me but that is becides the point. He left myself and my girlfriend worrying about our car all day with no phone call. He gave me a poor excuse of they were dealer parts, they took all day to arrive and he was way to busy. I know when you order dealer parts they come with new hose clamps for the rubber hose he only changed the small section of the metal line and never bothered to replace the rubber hoses or hose clamps that connect the metal lines to the hoses. In my opinion if you replace the metal line you would also replace the metal spring clamp that is at the end of my metal line. This was a very back yard mechanic repair. The repair was very expensive and know one called me all day to update me about anything. I work as a mechanic and no shop I have ever worked at has ever operated this way. I am a municipal fleet mechanic and we are not allowed to fix our own cars. Like I said before I didn’t want to be bothered with fixing my car on the side of the road and it was a huge mistake bringing our car to this repair facility. The owner said I had a torque mount bolt missing causing this concern. This is a big time safety concern and I asked the owner/mechanic why he could not replace the bolt and he said he was to busy. But he was not to busy to put a gallon of coolant in my car and charge me for coolant I had sitting in the front seat of my car. It was not a concern I had and nothing I authorized. When I got my car back it made a huge klunk noise when you put it in reverse and in drive. This condition was not present when I brought it in there. I really do not believe someone would take such a important bolt out but I cannot come up with any logical reason why there is a big noise when you put it in gear. Especially when the noise was not present when i dropped the cars off.Any good repair facility would not allow this car to leave except on a tow truck but he had no problem with my girlfriend driving the car away and she was very scared. When we got home I went to Home Depot and bought a 10” bolt with a 10mm diameter and put a nut on it and everything is fine now. The whole process took about 2 mins to install the nut and bolt combo. Any shop probably has something like this laying around their shop or in this case my bolt was probably on the guys tool cart because he was mad that I was upset that he never called to get conformation from me to approve the job and tell me the price before he started. Any repair facility runs like this.I would stay far far away from this shop. I am very dissatisfied with the work he did and how he let me drive away in a unsafe car. Thank you for nothing pal automotive I will definitely tow my car home if I am ever in this predicament again! He charged me 112 a hr and said my transmission was run dry and this was also false. I know how to check fluid level of my transmission!GO THERE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!
Always good to deal with and honest. Up front about repairs and cost before they start charging you. I drive the few extra miles to take my vehicles.
