Brought my Camry in for standard service light stuff, and they did great fixing what was needed for reasonable prices.What really made me smile, though, was as I came out to my car this morning and noticed the plastic fender that had broken loose over the years was suddenly not hanging loose anymore! It’s purely cosmetic and not something I felt worth spending money on to fix, but whoever worked on my car was nice enough to attempt to glue, then just bolt the piece back into place. True, probably an easy fix but it was very nice of them to take the time since that wasn’t why I brought my car in. It’s simple kindnesses like these that make me want to keep coming into specific businesses. Thanks Lakewood!!!

This place is great. They are very professional, organized and reasonably priced. They diagnosed the issue I was having, gave me an apt to bring it in and had it done when they said they would. There were no surprises and they treated me right. I highly recommend taking your vehicle to Lakewood if you need work.

I bought a charger from the gas station there and it broke immediately.

Needed to get my pickup checked out with 75,000 miles since I havent taken it in shop for any work for years. They checked it out completely and even though I suggested things to be done, they said no need to and clean bill of health from brakes to starter. Charge was for the check only. Im sure the dealer would have wanted to do some work!

I took my Suburban in to have the AC recharged. My appointment was at 11:00 a.m. They started on time and finished in about an hour. When we brought our Suburban here the first time, they informed us that we had a small freon leak. Since we have an older vehicle, Bill suggested that it would be less expensive to just recharge the AC every year than to pay the cost to fix it. We appreciated his honesty and the guys do great work!

Dont bother making an appointment through their website. Fortunately I called before my appointment only to find out that it meant nothing. I am only glad that I didnt waste my time driving there.

Absolutely outstanding! Repaired my truck that had a broken ignition cylinder, in record time! Ive been to other mechanics in the area who were good, but tend to charge more. Lakewood Auto provided high quality repair, at a very reasonable price. I am also a USMC veteran, and received a 10% discount Id only on repair but on parts. I have already begun to recommend them to everyone I know.

This place used to be really good. Now there are times when you state the problem. They charge a high diagnostic fee, then they proceed to repair the problem. After stating the problem is fixed, the noise or problem is still there. When you take the car back, they will state its something else. I get charge again for another repair. Why am I paying again when it wasnt fixed correctly the first time. If it is a new problem why was it doing or making the same noise as when I came in the first time.

My wife was driving up to Sacramento from the bay and her check engine light came on. She was toed to Lakewood and the issue was promptly resolved and saved us money. The owner also let my wife pump milk for our 3 month in his office! Amazing service and highly recommended.

I love this place! My husband and his whole family come here. We had issues with one of our cars. We had a hard time figuring out what was wrong with it. And thankfully they took the time to help us figure out what the issues was.

I just wanted to share my experience I had with this business. I bout a used SUV and not even 20 hours later I was dropping it off to have my brakes done. Long story short. Even though there was some misunderstandings somewhere the guys at Lakewood auto repair did the brakes even though it wasnt their fault. They would rather have your business later on than lose your business forever.. they truly are an honest company. I wanted to say thank you again guys! You will never truly know how much it meant to me..

Had to get problem fixed to pass smog. I didnt have any time, they were swamped but directed me to great little Mexican restaurant for lunch. Ate, came back, car was repaired for very nominal fee. Got car smoged, went to AAA, got new tags same afternoon. Thanks to this very Professional and Curtious shop I missed no work.

I live in Stockton, but work in Lodi. When I needed mechanical work done to my car I decided to Google repair shops in Lodi and found Lakewood Auto on here (Google). I decided to go to them because of their 5 star rating, and let me tell you they do not disappoint. They were fast, friendly and their prices are fair. I was in and out in an hour (on my lunch brake) and they fixed my problem fast. Definitely would recommend, and in the future I will definitely be a returning customer.

I had them replace the alternator on my 2003 Nissan Xterra. They were extremely fast (they had it done within one day) and were very kind about the ordeal. Most friendly and easy shop I have ever been to and will be going back for any future repairs.

I wasn’t going to post a review. I was going to cut my losses, and move forward. However. The blatant disregard for the care of my car has me compelled to share my experience.In June, I upgraded my car. So I decided I needed to fix my old car, and sell it. I called Lakewood Auto Repair. I asked if they worked on Mercedes, which they replied that they did. I then asked if they were familiar with the Airmatic system, which they also replied that they were. I made an appointment and brought my car down, pretty optimistically because of the reviews here.Anyway, I had my car read prior to taking it in, I knew what codes it was bringing up. And I knew the basics of the situation. After they had diagnosed my car. They then told me that it needed a new compressor, which was an $800 fix. Which I’m not concerned with, had that been the problem. But that didn’t clear the codes. So at this point, I’m understandably frustrated. They then proceed to tell me that there are multiple leaks that could be heard in the two front Air Struts, which were relatively new. (The struts release some air pressure when the car is shut off, which is what they heard) At this point, I knew they weren’t familiar with the airmatic system. So then they wanted to replace my front air struts, and the rears. When all were recently repaired. Finally I had had enough, and I went to pick up my car.We went in there, and we weren’t happy. The front desk manager offered to take off the new compressor, and replace it with the old one. At that point, I didn’t want them working on my car any longer so I took the car home.The owner called afterward, which I thought was thoughtful, until he refused to listen to anything I had to say. I know about the cars I buy, and had I had the room or equipment, I would’ve done the repair myself. So he then continued to give me his excuse, with no knowledge of my car, without listening to what I had to say. So I dismissed him.I took the car to Mercedes-Benz of Stockton, and I walked away pleasantly surprised, they replaced the one problem strut, gave me a discount, fixed it in a timely manner, and made sure I was happy.As for the way Lakewood left my car. The entire interior is covered in grease spots. The steering wheel was completely sticky. And the worst part, someone had completely busted the passenger door pull on the interior. I found a bunch of pieces of broken plastic all over the floor, and the handle was just slapped onto the door. I’m having to pay for an additional repair for that.They may be good for domestics, but they weren’t good for, or to my Mercedes.I posted this just to share my experience, and so that people can be aware of the bad as well as the glowing reviews here.If you drive German, you may want to consider elsewhere.UPDATE: The car is currently at Mercedes-Benz of Stockton. And the compressor Lakewood installed, while new, was installed incorrectly. So I’m having to have the dealer also reinstall the compressor.
