Harbor freight is the magical place where it seems like the Home Depot and the dollar store had a baby. I love it. Although they discontinued the 20% off coupon theyve had since ... forever and the free items, the prices still cant be beat. While I do hope beyond hope that said coupons/items will come back, I cant really whine about good tools at rock bottom prices.

Awesome place. My second home. When it opened, I never thought I would shop there. But they got so many things for the tradesmen for an excellent price as well! And they have a very liberal and generous return policy on top of their already cheap tools! Shop here first- then Home Depot

Very helpful and friendly staff. Very clean store. Also all the merchandise is well stocked and very well organized. I shop there anytime I am in the area and need stuff. Fun place to shop. They have serious stuff and fun items.

The staff inthe Lompoc Harbor Freight are always helpful and provides top-notch service.

Upon arriving at the Lompoc Store I see a neatly arranged set-up of tools that are the featured bargains this day, week & month.I’m also greeeted by a smiling(I think) cashier who’s busily cashing out a current customer. I was told by her to feel free to look around and I do! This type of store generally is considered a “mans” “toy store”.But us women Diy’ers immemsly enjoy it too! The employees are quite congenial and always wanting to help.unlike another very large box store here in Lompoc where the employees run from the very sight of an individual as they enter the store!Harbor Freight May have tools that aren’t the quality of Milwaukee or Ryobi, but their customer service is second to none!!

Really clean and everything well stacked, service was actually really great they were all really helpful and knowledgeable af their tools.They didnt had a battery I need it but didnt hesitate to point me to another store to find it most people just tell u we dont have and thats it but not here.Will really recommend this place I know Ill comw bacl.

It is, as you already know, not a high quality tool store. However, if you are a cheap skate as I am, it is helluv good place to shop. And, their knowledge on tools or equipment matches the store.

I travel for work all over NorthAmerica, Im a mobile mechanic for a large civil contractor. HF is a weekly stop in my travels for miscellaneous dodads and nicnacks. I have been to well over a 100 different HF stores across the US, this is by far the cleanest, best laid out, well organized, friendliest and helpful store Ive been to to date of writing this review. Definitely recommend this store, the staff are super helpful

Had to make a trade for a bigger generator. The only 3 people there were some cholos who probably just got stoned, but I got what I needed.

Todd the supervisor was very knowledgeable and helpful to me today. Great store! They need electric shopping carts for disabled customers though; if theyd supply those, there would be no end to the shopping that my neighbor and I would be doing in there, and there are a lot of other people who cant access this store because there are no carts for them. Great store otherwise. I just couldnt stay very long because I couldnt stand in one place long enough to really shop and enjoy things and buy them.

Store is badass. Coupons need to be a little clearer.

I spent over 45 dollars because I was told that the only thing that will work with what you have at home is not been able to get for two years now so you need to get this and that and I dont know if it is in that one and no we can open it and look to see if there is one of them you must pay for it and then you can look and see if they is one and they is one of them and I have been working here for about 20 years now and I know that it will cut thought that you want to cut so a little more than a hour I find out that first it didnt work for any of the things that I was told it,would and it did work on what I already had and then it was cutting time and less than 10 minutes every one of them had no more teeth on them and I was only cutting a piece of wood 1/8 of a inches at the most thickest part of the wood and

Did not have advertised Thunderbolt Edge AAA batteries in stock. It was why i went there today. Picked up a couple tools i can use but am disappointed abouy those silly batteries.Staff was great as always, friendly and easy going. This is a huge reason i shop at our local HF... Great staff!

This Harbor Freight outsmells them all!! Great hardware store smell and ambiance! General overall good range of tools and supplies. Decent prices and good hours of operation. A visit to this store is never a waste of time.

My home away from home

Quality of most tools is very low. However, most of the usable supplies are fine and very cheap. Example, electrical heat shrink was 16$ at Home Depot for a small box. Harbour Freight had a larger box for 4.50$. Just inspect anything before and after you buy it and keep the receipt.

Helpfully and have what I needed

Always have great sales on something here. I usually get something once a month and Ive not been disappointed with any aspect of the inventory ever.

Excellent selection of cheap tools. I disagree with people saying that everything from here are of subpar quality. While it may be true of some items, there are a number of items that either outprice big name brands with even better quality control.

Its a store dedicated to tools and outdoor stuff, so of course it has a lot of products, way more than Walmart. Its also a real brick-and-mortar store, so that way you can see exactly what it is that youre getting. You can also bring it home the same day and no shipping delays or charges, or damage in shipment.Every time I go into the store and Lompoc, this store is always clean, everythings neat and tidy and put away. The staff is always helpful. One time I even got a staff member to pick up items for me in the store off from my shopping list when my legs were hurting too much to walk anymore.

Stood at a register ten minutes and no employee was around to check me out. I saw multiple employees with a single customer in another aisle on my way to find someone. They all went to a register together with this customer. I stood there hoping one of them would help me so I could go. I stood there another 5 minutes. I decided to leave my stuff at the register and leave.

I like harbor freight tools overall. They offer tools at very resonable prices (the quality of the tools is hobbyist not professional). There is one thing to remember when heading to there they are a tool store, not a supplies store. The best example I can think of is they offer all sorts of painting tools (i.e. air sprayers, brushes), but they dont sale supplies (i.e. paint, paint thinner). If you keep that in mind you will not go there and be diaappointed they dont carry what you came for. I also wanted to say get the application and sign up for coupons (i always get at least 20%off of one thing and a free item). I have not signed up for the paid membership because i dont buy tools that often.
