I was traveling from upstate to meet a client & arrived to Long Beach an hour early, so I asked for a recommendation for a diner where I could grab a breakfast. They recommended this diner. As I parked, another car pulled up very close to mine and the guy got out of the car & started cursing me for parking too close to the line, which I didn’t realize (there were plenty of spaces at that moment). I didn’t say anything & moved the car after he went in the restaurant. He was a friend of the restaurant. I went in and politely asked for a table. There were SEVERAL empty tables & empty booths. The waitress tried to seat me at a very small table in the middle of the restaurant & then gave me a hard time when I asked for a booth. To put it bluntly she was arrogant & mean. After a few minutes she relented & said ‘you can sit there FOR NOW’ - basically warning me that she could kick me out of the booth at anytime! I was relieved to get a booth because I was hungry & very tired from my trip. I told her I wanted to run to the restroom before I sat down. As I walked towards the restroom I saw one of their male cooks exit the woman’s restroom! As he walked back to the kitchen he gestured that I could go in there. When I did, I saw he didn’t flush the toilet! Probably didn’t wash his hands either! I walked out & told another waitress sitting alone what happened & that it’s disgusting - especially from someone working in the kitchen. She just stared at me. I walked out & grabbed bfast at Burger King a block away - which was better, cleaner, had plenty of parking, & a NICE staff. I wasn’t going to post a review of this diner but my friend convinced me to share my experience. Especially during a pandemic when hygiene is more important than ever. I gave them one star because based on my experience, I couldn’t give them less.

Great food, Good service.Unfortunately........I really thought the sign on the door was very distasteful and offensive.Unvaccinated need to wear a mask....Respectfully Im sure everybody agrees we need not get segregated. And we agree everybodys sovereign to their own body. And nobody should instruct anybody to do such a thing... Ill leave it there.[Do everybody a favor and Toss it]

Good solid diner, menu is huge, but not overwhelmingWaitress were fast and accurateBut the hide selling point is big food, and free pickels and Cole slaw, thats still a thing here, sweetAlso fun and busy feeling

Been coming to this diner since I was a kid, one of the best on Long Island.

This is such a great place. We had a large group two days in a row. They accommodated us without any problem. The woman who seated us (might be the owner?) Was so fantastic! The waitresses and waiters. Busboys etc. The refills on water and coffee kept coming without having to ask. The food is great. I had the lumberjack with blueberry pancakes. Perfect pancakes with that tiny crisp and fluffy and delicious. Then the next day the mexicana omelet. My sister had the stuffed french toast and she loved it. two children ordered pancakes to share (which they devoured) and the waitress split the order without even asking so they each had a plate and no fuss over who got the bigger pancake.

You love cinnamon as much as I do, you have to try these cinnamon pancakes they are delicious.

I like being able to have breakfast eggs with home fries anytime of day or night and these were good. The service here is good as well.

I’m a huge breakfast fan. Being in a band for so long, we also frequented our fair share of diners over the years. This place is definitely a Long Island staple so I don’t need to substantiate it...but I will. Hands down I can tell you, this is the BEST French toast I have ever eaten. The staff are great, it fills up pretty quick but can hold a lot of people. Cool spot on Main Street means great location for fueling up and then going to do other errands. It’s also not too far from the beach either. Love love love this place.

I was in the area and looking for a diner, thankful I chose to go to Laurel’s Diner. DELICIOUS food, we both had hash&eggs, easily the best corned beef hash we’ve ever had. Yummy home fries too. Huge portions and fairly priced.

My family and I love this place it was my second time and my family’s first time at laurel diner. The workers are kind and respectful. It took a couple of minutes for the food. I would recommend the French toast. My family loved it.

Take a minute to gaze into the cinnamon swirl of the Cinnabun Pancakes 🤤. Food here is delicious, staff is always friendly, and service is prompt. And again, look at those pancakes.

Great place, eaten here twice in two days, and loved everything we had, sorry we can not return, as home is calling and we must return to Texas, but thank you for the great service and food. I will dream of that Ruben sandwich for years to come. And you can be sure if our travels brings us this way again I will be back.

A little dissatisfied with the food, burger was way overcooked and dry. There was no flavor to it. Milkshake was fine, mozzarella were fine.Waitress was pleasant and prompt. Ate with 3 others they all agreed the burger was lacking flavor

The web says they close 10PM Sundays but they like to get out early and regularly close at 9PM with no notice until people show up.

I adore this spot! They have first-rate dishes, their menu is rich, The cook in that spot is a real pro, I enjoy very much tasting all their dishes. The dishes are consistently fresh and tasty, the service towards the clients is good. I often go to this place and I was never unhappy. I highly recommend it.

Favorite place in town! Although sometimes a wait, food is always spot on and the service is hard to beat. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a good meal.

Its everything you want from a diner, the reason I gave it five stars though was due to the foods quality and portion size.Im going to keep my review short, but as far as diners go, this one is definitely worth visiting over others even in a 30 minute drive vicinity. Thus, 5 stars.

Our group of 8 had breakfast here during the 4th of July weekend. Very nice staffs and great food selection! Eggs benedict, Leos omelet, and Belgian waffles were pretty good. Thanks for a great service!

I had: Cherry Lime Rikki; Orange Juice; Lemonade; Carving Board Eggs w/ Pastrami & side of bacon.Some of the best diner beverages I’ve had, across the board. All delicate and light with no gross artificial flavor noted. I at least expected it in the orange juice, but it wasn’t there. The Pastrami had fine fatty marbling, not overly fried or greasy. Eggs (sunny side up) were perfect. Home fries were 10/10, not mushy, well seasoned and with a crispy top.If you’re in Long Beach, go here. You’re not going to find a better breakfast.

As far as diners go this is one of the best. The portions are huge, very well prepared and tasty. The breakfast is sublime. The staff know everybody because there are so many repeat customers.

Love this place every time we go there. Very tasty food at rational pricing. Served by a welcoming staff in a clean, bright environment. The place is scrupulously clean. The toilet is clean, well maintained and kept fully stocked. Nothing fancy here - just great neighborhood American food (cuisine). Give this a try - you will not be disappointed.

Thank goodness for the diner. I havent been in Long Beach for 3 months because of the pandemic. We went back there and boy did I miss it. I have not had anything I did not like in the diner. This is the only diner in town i would ever go to. Chicken Soup, Reubens, Burgers, Onion Rings, Greek Salad, Half of Roasted Chicken and the meat loaf. And there breakfast is awesome. I just love that place and so will you.

I was in the area going to a event and wanted to grab a bite to eat with my family. I googled best place to eat around me and the Laurel Diner came up. I was hesitant to go because I usually think that people fluff up reviews. Plus I am not from the area and dont know anything about Long Beach. Taking a leap of faith we decided to give it a try. The first thing I noticed as soon as we walked in was that, we were automatically greeted by a hostess and as every employee passed us they greeted us as well. We were seated promptly, I mean we literally walked in and were seated within 30 seconds. What left an impression was that when we got to the table it was already set. Service from this point on was nothing short of amazing. Looking over the menu I was left speechless. The menu reminded me of the old school diners I grew up with but with the added menu of a modern day diner and high end restaurant. I couldnt believe all the choices they offered which kind of made it hard because everything sounded so delicious. We went on and ordered some appetizers and our main courses and eagerly waited for the food to come out. Living in New York and eating at many diners I automatically assumed that the appetizers were frozen and pre-made from a box like many other diners do. Boy was I wrong!! This place actually make their food from fresh ingredients and not frozen. My family has been in the food business for over 20 years and I know when something is frozen and something is fresh. Every different appetizer we ordered and consumed was flavorful and delicious. It far surpassed what I was expecting. Everyone at the table ordered a different meal and every plate that came out was enough to feed 2 people. The portions were huge. When they were bringing out the kids meals I thought they made a mistake because the portions were so big. As soon as a took a bite of my food (I had one of the fish specials of the day) my immediate reaction was that of disbelief. You dont expect to get seafood as fresh and well prepared as this dish was from a diner. Did I mention that I live by City Island, so I frequently eat at some of the best seafood restaurants in NY. We were all in disbelief on everything from the presentation but especially from the freshness and delicious flavors of all the food we were served. No review or words can explain what a culinary gem this place turned out to be. The talk of the entire table was literally about how amazing the food was and that we would definitely take the 45 minute drive to go again. Very few places that Ive eaten at have left such an impression that I would actually go out of my way to go eat again. The Laurel Diner is definitely on my list of best diners I have ever eaten at. I hardly ever leave reviews but this place blew my mind at how everything from the service, the food and even the prices were on point. I would recommend this place to everybody I know. If you ask me, youve never eaten at a diner until you have experienced the Laurel Diner. Definitely go there and try it for yourself. You will thank me later. And dont even get me started on the desserts that are all made in-house. Enough talking, just go there and experience it for yourself. Do it and I guarantee that from your first bite the only thing your mind will be saying to you is WOW !!!

Best burger Ive had outside of my home or in a Manhattan steakhouse in more than a decade, and awesome service and waiter too! My teen daughter had the chicken nuggets about which she couldnt believe how good and fresh they were - and likewise the fries were fresh and were perfect. The coleslaw and pickles were put on the table like in a Jewish deli and were delish. It was certainly a very welcoming and nice touch. Place was immaculate.

Chicken parm was one of the best Ive ever had. It had 3 massive delicious chicken cutlets on top of a mound of pasta with tasty melted cheese on top. It fed 3 of us. The burger was also delicious, as mentioned in other reviews. Price is right, incredible value here for the quality. Deep menu, super fast service.
