I recently unloaded a complete PS2 and a bunch on decent games and accessories and they offered me $30 bucks cash lol I only agreed because I wanted to unload it. Keep in mind that I used to sell on EBay and I know what I could of got for everything. I DO NOT recommend selling your games to them unless it is an emergency. Sell your games at a yard sale or online; these guys will not give you a fair price for your old games.

Wonderful place to buy games. They have new and used games, a lot of retro games and consoles and they even have some DVDs at a good price. Staff is always extremely helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend coming here.

Place sold me a bootleg PS4 controller. I spent $70 on something that doesn’t work. Please do not give this dude your money, he will not sell you legit merch and especially not at a reasonable price.

This retro game store is amazing, not to mention its located in the city of Long Beach (which is one great city)! It sells a variety of games, DVDs, and Blu-rays, and they also sell anime on DVD (and Blu-ray) as well as games that were released only in different countries (like Japan and Europe for instance) but never in the U.S.! Would definitely love to come back to this retro game store again, which is why I had to get a business card for it! Highly recommend it! I would definitely love it if they lower the prices of the games that they sell. Other than that, I still love this store nonetheless! 🎮🕹🤘😌😊😄😎👍🤙❤💛❤💛💗💕💞💯

This was a nice place to be, found it while searching for local game shops and decided to check it out. Went to trade in some games (which I have to admit I feel they shouldve been worth more than what they were giving me) and buy a GameCube controller and the one I bought stopped working in a few days. Went back to the place to return it and unfortunately I couldnt do so as their was no evidence it didnt work and my only option was a buy back. I decided to just buy an official one in the end since I knew they were the best and they were nice enough to discount $5 off of my purchase for the inconvenience. Honestly a great place to buy gaming stuff old and new, they even get new releases 2 WEEKS BEFORE THEY COME OUT. Although they are a little pricey and if youre looking to trade in games then Id say either look for another place or sell them yourself.

Large selection of games at fair prices. I was however turned off by an employee that had a foul mouth than told me that language was all over the place and my kids will hear it no matter what.

They couldnt have been more helpful. The clerk even looked up an adapter I needed on Amazon for me. I dont live close by but I will make the drive to support these folks.

Honestly don’t do business here, if you have the misfortune of leaving a game or or hardware they will probably sell it without telling you that you left it like they did to me.

Great shop! Most all the games are in the original box with books. They have a huge selection older gen games like PS1/2 and GameCube/N64 and earlier. Staff is friendly and helpful. They happily answered all my 7 year old sons questions.

Herny answered every question I asked with no problem and had every answer I needed! 10/10 service!!

This place is a wonderful place to get games at a wonderful price that wont break your bank account. The employees here are amazing and helpful and they know about every product in the store. There return policy cannot be beat and they always are happy to see yea when your walk-in the door.

Great place to pick up old school games and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I bought a Nintendo 64 from here and paid only 60 bucks for the console, all the connections and one controller. Initially the console didnt work, however when i brought it back in the staff helped me troubleshoot the console and even switched it out for another console. Some games can be pricey but at least you know you get 30 days to return any broken games

Very good selection of games from major platforms. Some prices are above market value, but for some of items, theyre priced right at market value. My only cons are that some items are not priced, this is because these sellers are penny pinching and scared to lose money on daily market fluxes. If you cant price it, odds are that the consumer can find it cheaper online. Go here if you need something now, otherwise shop elsewhere. They also told me they would sell me a ps2 slim version for $40. Only problem was one wasnt in stock. When it became available the price became $70.

Ive been going to this place for years since they moved from their original location on Spring and Palo Verde. The staff is super helpful when you ask them questions and about their inventory. If they do not have what youre looking for in stock, theyll actually hold onto your number and phone you the very second the product arrives. The same goes for any new games that are being released. I choose this place over other game dealerships because of the feeling of acknowledgement that the staff sends your way whenever you visit.

I found other review of this place a bit unrealistic. Of course online is always cheaper, and at storefronts more expensive. thats the price you pay for an immediate selection without waiting for shipping, in person browsing ability, and customer service. So if you want the new game for cheap, I mean, yeah, do it online!! But if youre looking for unique used games or retro titles that cant be found elsewhere, this is an awesome place!

My previous review was a 1 star because I bought a controller that never really worked and when I went to return it, the guy said they could only exchange it. He said if I had further problems, I would need to take it up with the manufacturer. I did in fact have problems with the 2nd controller so I felt pretty helpless because the manufacturer told me to send it to them in China (would cost me easily $25 to do this). Luckily, when I called GamePlay today, a different person answered and when I told her of my situation, said she would let me return it. I was able to leave straight away and get my money back. I like supporting small businesses when they treat their customers with respect. I will continue to buy video games here when I know I wont need to return them. Not going to take a chance on hardware ever again though.

Gameplay has become my new favorite game store, I have been there several times and every time I go there I am always greeted by the staff in the nicest manner, they dont try and rip you off like other game stores, and they have a far better collection of games and movies that are perfectly priced

If youre looking for a ready selection of available old games from all consoles, this is a good place. I found Diablo 1 for PC on CD here, which was neat. For newer games, you could check here to see if they have games at a lower price than GameStop, but the layout of newer games isnt as clean.

Its pretty dead store they overprice games that are scratched. You can find a game online for 6 dollars while they charge about 14 for it. They have a nice selection but again you can find everything cheaper elsewhere. Even the games that they have gamestop sells them cheaper. There isnt anything great. Gamestop at least has specials and things going on. This store seems it cant afford to make any business model move because people barely go to buy them stuff. The few times I went its always 1 customer who comes and goes because they realized everything is being overcharged. Maybe there was a time this store was good but those days are over.

Employees arent helpful. They will always tell you to leave your number with them an they will let you know when they get new games in but they never do actually call, on top of that they wont hold anything for any reason, Ive called every week for the past month or two an every time I have to leave my name an number again. Employees are just rude an ridiculous.

Thought I hit a gold mine when I found out about this store, very disappointed. I purchased three video games and tested them at home two ended up not working. I showed up the next day to return them hoping they’d remember me (which they did) but said no refund or exchange could be done because I didn’t have a receipt (which they never provided). They told me I could try to contact the owner but he’s never in store when I called. Tried going through better business bureau and they didn’t care to reply. Simply awful customer service they’d rather lose a customer than return $30 or exchange?? Do not recommend most likely will get scammed the prices are way overpriced too!! Better off buying at swap meets, OfferUp, or online.

This is a cool little store. They have used games and DVDs, as well as new games. They take pre-orders for new games, and are usually a few dollars cheaper than the big-box stores.

Great place for old and vintage video game aficionados. Great selection of N64, PS1, Dreamcast and NES games. Great deals on new releases as well. Big dvd section with great deals (6 used dvds for $20) and an increasing blu ray section. One of the few mom/pop style game & movie stores that still exists. The employees there are very respectful, kind and have great knowledge of video games and movies. Overall, I highly recommend this store.

Went there to sell my ps2 lot and they lied over the phone about how much I would make for the system alone and after I traded everything in I didnt get a receipt went back and asked for one and said I had to ask for one earliet to be printed out when all businesses are required to give receipts out bad service all around
