This is an upscale organic grocery and has a sit down deli section. The entire place is clean and well organized. I had a pastrami sandwich for lunch. It was not oily. There is free water self serve style at one end of the deli. There was also a meat loaf sandwich as lunch special. $11 for a sandwich.

Any time I can go walking distance from my house to get good fresh stuff! Definitely a plus! Veggie and vegan friendly! Staff is super friendly!

Where to start...you could spend a good hour just looking at all the healthy, vegeterian, vegan, gluten free options Kress carries in their little market. Their Deli has the healthy organic options that fast food places try to offer and more. Hilda carefully selects every single thing she brings in her kitchen and market. Very happy to know this place is here. Friday nights tacos are awsome. All the neighbors come out and hang out, its very family oriented. Nice place to chill and meet people. Every third Friday they have live entertainment. Great meet up place.

Love this place. My favorite salad is the Apple Walnut Chicken Salad. They make the best salmon sandwich. If you have a sweet tooth, then you can just walk to their Market area and pickup a chocolate. During these uncertain times with staying home. I make sure I order my lunch from this place and help the business with my grain of sand.

Love this place. There a reason why the locals are so in love with Kress Market. They care. They are happy to help. The products are top quality and even though its a small, quaint market, Ive always found what Ive needed.

I dont know the name of the sandwich, but it was all veggies and it was delicious. Ive never had shredded carrots on a sandwich before but now its a regular addition. Please update your hours. 3rd time I have tried to call to place an order and no one answers the phone at 10:20AM. I have even sat outside waiting for an employee to show up 10:45AM. Food is really good, I order for lunch meetings. It would make it so much easier to be able to place a phone order and not have to wait. Would have given Kress Market a 4 or 5 star review for food if not for the frustration of not knowing if/when they will be open.

This place has a small restaurant attached. They make good sandwiches and the potato salad is really good. They are a little high priced but the quality is good. Turkey sandwich with potato salad will come out to about eleven dollars. Service is really quick and you can sit inside or outside.

Its an average corner grocery and deli shop. The people are nice. I had a sad excuse for a pastrami sandwich. The bread was average tasted cheap. The pastrami was cheap and lacked flavor. To mask the lack of flavor the sandwich was drowning in mustard. The potato salad that came with the sandwich was the worst Ive ever had in my life! They were just boiled potatos covered in yellow slime. Not mustard because it was clear all the mustard was wasted on the sandwich. Wasted $15 for a mustard sandwich and yellow slime potatoesIt is very cute corner market with nice people, which is convenient for the people that live around that block, but the food sucks. By the looks of it this place suppresses poor reviews rather make improvements. They tried to bury my picture because is had critical comments.

A small market where you can get food. Today I went for canned goods and I was ablenyo find what I needed they wont have everything as they are a smaller store but an alternative to the stores near by. They have a small selection of vegetarian/vegan items that you would see at Sprouts.

There was a small selection of organic items, which was expected, this wasnt the issue. Out of any establishment I have been to, this was some of the worst service I have ever recieved. I understand there is a deli that needs to be ran but when Im asked if Im ready and before I have a chance to answer yes I get walked out on and left standing while she goes to help someone else isnt right. I wont be returning and I will be sure to tell everyone I know not to go here. I dont ever leave reviews, this was so bad I created an account to leave this review. Thank you.

I come here for tacos and beer on Fridays. The tacos are great and you can get a sculpin and 3 tacos for $13. Yum!

Kress Market is part of HOPA, the historic Old Pine Avenue and it fits in perfectly. They focus on organic produce and hard to find items including beer, wine and top shelf liquor. The attached deli has the perfect Long Beach balance of the old and the new; the old being the one on one, remember your name, go out of their way to be great service and the new being fresh, healthy, unique food.

I had a brief visit to the Kress Market on my way to the Friday Farmers Market in Downtown Long Beach. I have to say that I didnt enjoy my visit to the store. The selection of grocery is very limited, which is fine, but the service couldve been much more pleasant. The lady at check-out couldve been more polite. I didnt buy any hot food, so I cannot comment on that. My review is purely based on my interaction with the staff and my purchase of the dried goods.

Kress Market is really a gem on Pine Ave in DTLB. Its got both a bodega-size grocery market stocked with high quality, often healthy products, as well as an adjacent cafe with some great coffee and sandwiches.The market side of the operation is nice, the selection might not be incredible but what they do have is always high quality. Not to mention they have some beer in to coolers and lots of organic options. The Cafe is also quite nice, with sandwiches, salads and plenty of treats it is a nice place to grab a small bite and sit on Pine. On top of all that the folks working here are some of the nicest you will meet, so it just feels good to support this business. Two Thumbs-Up!

This mini market is great, especially when there is no market around offering vegan items. Its a bit over priced but the convenience compensates for that. When I go to a place and spend money I assume that said place will get my order right. Not se mo here..they gave me an undercook sandwich. When I told them that I didnt want another...they couldnt Care Less. Said to them, a bit of pasta salad to go would be good. They said NO. I LEFT AND WILL NEVER BE BACK. WASTED 12.00 DOLLARS

I ordered their chicken sandwich on a croissant it was absolutely delicious I also had a mango smoothie it was so fresh and tasted really good during lunch I came back and had fresh carrot juice it was so yummy the employees were very nice I tried the soup it was a little bit cold but extremely flavorful

Live around the corner from Kress Market and absolutely love the food and the staff! I am vegetarian and they offer quite a nice selection of all of the staples I need (Earth Balance, Vegenaise, Almond milk, etc.) - also, their Tempeh lunch sandwich is absolutely amazing! Highly recommended for both the quality of food, and for the amazing service. I have a smile on my face every time I go in :)
