So I reserved a 15 truck online a couple days prior. When the time came I arrived to this location and honestly thought I was at the wrong place because all I could see was storage units!But if you go inside the office, they will assist you and retrieve the truck from the back and pull it up front. Sheila was quite cordial along with the younger fellow. I was on my way in no time, great experience!

Cannot call there to ask a question until the Manager gets her word in. She needed to take a minute to let me Say why I called before giving me a attitudinal rundown of my situation. If you are to call customer service number from the contract, maybe they should put it on there for after hour support. It’s as if they had no concept of what it’s like to have moved for over eight hours only to have technical difficulty with their check in process. I will never ever go back to Longwood U-Haul again. Manager needs to revisit her customer service skills.
I did have a good experience with the truck and all but when I came to pick the U-Haul truck up, the “manager” was self checking me out on his cell phone and clicked and pressed extra fees on my pickup. I did tell the manager about this charge and he never responded back to me. Over all I was close to $300 with my whole trip… Terrible overpriced service that I was never reimbursed.
Workers were very nice. This place generally doesnt have trucks; you have to book online in order to pick up a truck from this location.
Ms.Sheila was AMAZING! If I could give her a million stars I would. From the time I walked into her store to the time I walked out, I felt important. I was given nothing less than perfect service. Ms. Sheila made me very comfortable and she was very detailed with explaining the gate access, the way I would have to drive up to my storage (it’s in a tight spot in a corner) and she also help me out with a pad lock. We had a heart to heart moment in the office and I really appreciated the listening ear. I’d also like to mention that she loaned me her charger because my phone died. Not to mention that the office smelled wonderful. She is such a kind person! Thanks for everything Ms. Sheila!!!
To say this center is amazing is not enough. Sheila Weich, the Storage Manager, is truly a walking miracle for my daughter and I. To add some background, my home was destroyed in Lynn Haven by Hurricane Michael’s direct path of destruction and I lost so much from that storm, from my job to a lot of my property and valuables and my FEMA application unapproved. Evacuated myself and my daughter in my small car and made it to my parents in Orlando. Got a call a week later stating that I had some of my daughter’s things saved and some of my items still safe and had to pick it up or risk losing it forever. After finding no trucks at all over there to save money and not currently able to find work, I was forced borrow money to rent here and go up and back down. The financial costs of that was staggering but Sheila was so helpful and she helped ensure that I was not further burdened by so many financial costs even further and allowed myself and my daughter to not be broken down by this experience so badly. With her support, she found different ways to really promote the caring message of her company that she promotes heavily for in supporting those in transit in their lives, even those displaced by natural disasters. Sheila showed exemplary kindness and an amazing message that the human nature to help others exist in this world personally still and the caring backing with her company, U-Haul. She showed great joy in being able to provide service with a caring company and I don’t don’t know how I could ever repay her kindness.
It was ok. I had hoped to pick up my moving truck closer to home. However they were very helpful here.
Sheila is rude and unprofessional. We won’t be returning to this location because of her specifically. She decided it would be a good idea to tell us how she felt our move should go/how we should have handled moving with a 15 foot truck, despite me being 7 months pregnant and my husband basically having to move everything by himself. I am really looking forward to talking with her supervisor about her remarks on the phone to me. Maybe she’ll actually face real repercussions for her actions this time, since apparently a bunch of negative reviews calling her out by name aren’t enough.
Very happy with the rental, staff and overall experience. All of the policies and procedures were made clear upfront.Sheila and the rest of the staff were very helpful. Ill certainly be using them again for my future rental needs.

The guy at the desk was very helpful. Only needed to rent an appliance dolly. It was fast, easy and affordable(comparing to Home Depot which it was 50% more expensive, and, for only a fraction of the rental time)

Ending Experience Was HorribleThe process in the beginning with getting the U-Haul wasn’t bad, it was easy and they were very nice. Until, I call and had a problem with them charging an extra $ 20.00 for them to process paperwork after I drop off the vehicle after hours. I had until 10:30am the next day, in which they got the vehicle overnight. They ended charging extra $20.00 for not completing the check-out procedure on my phone. In which I explain to the representative I wasn’t able to complete due to phone was dead, for me moving literally all day! When I spoke with representative, she wasn’t not trying to be understanding at all, that I wasn’t able to complete it on my phone. I guess, $20 was more important to them then satisfying the customer. Im WILL NOT RECOMMEND this one at all! I should use the one I had before, the one on 598 W Hwy 436, Altamonte Springs, 32714

Dishonest alertOur address and a family members name was used to rent a uhaul from our current home address in 2017 which occurred in a 400 bill. We just learned of this issue today. (2020)I ordered a uhaul in (2019) using the same address and it was released to me no problem.Since my family members name was connected to a 400.00(2017) balance they didn’t release the uhaul to him even though it was a fraudulent charge.Since his name was under the 400.00 contract. His father which is helping him move decided to do it under his name. They turned him down saying the 400.00 balance is connected to the address.My question to uhaul.Why could I rent a Uhaul in 2019 using the same address?It doesn’t have anything to do with the address if so I also would of been declined in 2019.The associate made the call and lied. I bet they can go to a different uhaul and get one under a different name/same address.I would never trust them with my information or money.
Sheila is a complete scam artist and will overcharge you and say you brought the truck back a day after you did to charge you more money then argue with you about it. Totally unprofessional and crazy. 0/10 would NOT recommend

I have been using this location for a few years now. Not because of location (terrible!) or convenience (most inconvenient set up Ive encountered), but because of their lovely customer service. Unfortunately, their customer service has gotten terrible within the last year, and Im about to transfer locations or even companies. Shelia was always the sweetest, but the customer service people I have ran into the last few times Ive come to my unit have been terrible. (Rude, dont acknowledge your presence and just plain unpleasant.) Sad to go, but its about to happen. The location just isnt worth it.
If it wasnt for the understanding staff who I dropped off the truck with, Id be giving less credit to this location. The initial signing of agreement needed an adjustment. After the adjustment was made the drop off time was changed 4 hours earlier. Glad the staff worked with me and did not charge a late fee! Thank you for your kindness.

Located om c.r.427 aka ronald Reagan boulevard. Its location is convenient to where i live in Altamonte springs. They usually havevthe right size truck available when you meed it. They are definitely wired into the digital age.
I wouldn’t dare recommend this place to anyone. They forced me into insurance that I knew from the beginning was optional and overcharged me $80 as they recommended I dropped off at a location closer to where I was going versus where I picked up, although they didn’t advise me there was a charge for that and I ended up dropping off in longwood anyways.Then, once I found this out. Longwood answers and no one will speak to me they all forward me to customer service in which I held for 28 mins, someone answered and hung up.You got me today uhaul, but never again. 🙃🤷🏼♀️
Everything seemed great at first. Then we got our truck. First, make the reservation online and not through the office. I called to make a reservation and actually upgrade my original online reservation. They did it. When I went into the office to pay, they were charging me almost $120 more than original. When I looked over the invoice before I paid, I noticed they were supposed to charge me $30 for the dolly for the 3 days I would have it. They had me on the reservation for 4 days and tried charging me $30 per day totaling $120. So I was being charged $30 more for a truck for an extra day I did not request and they were trying to charge me an additional $90 for a dolly that was only supposed to cost $30.Second is the false advertising. hey say its a 15 truck and you get the extra 3 Moms Attic. This is not even close to true. Its actually a 12 truck and you get a 3 Moms Attic and they advertise it as a 15 truck. If you actually go with Penske or Budget, a 15 Truck is a 15 Truck. Not 12. Then to add to it the driver door wouldnt shut all the way. It would literally be cracked open the entire time while driving and everything.Now we move onto the issue of the alignment. The alignment was horrible. To drive straight the wheel had to be turned ever so slightly to the right. Then while driving straight, the truck would just suddenly veer to the right. You would have to instantly correct it back to the left or risk going off the road.Then and finally, the fuel charges. I returned the truck to the same location and filled it up only 6 miles away. The truck supposedly gets 8 miles to the gallon and so I thought it would be fine. Well I checked the fuel before dropping the keys in the after hours box and it was actually above where it was when I got it. Sure enough, I got charged for extra mileage which I knew about and expected, but then when I looked at my receipt for it, they also charged me for 5 gallons of fuel at $4.50 per gallon. Upon calling the customer service, they told me that is what the location is reporting so there is nothing they could do. I asked for proof. I wanted them to show me a picture of the fuel gauge either where it was at now or where it was when they accepted the truck in the morning. They said they couldnt because they re-rented the truck already.

I have used U Haul for every single one of my moves. Unfortunately thats a lot. Every time I call them they are less and less customer friendly. Their customer service is absolutely the worst I have had to deal with. Its funny how you jack your rates and want to take as much as you can and not give a single thing back!!!! You really ought to be ashamed.

They tried to pin a dent that was on the truck on me. I refused to pay what was asked until they reviewed the tape because they kept insisting that it was my fault. After a few minutes of CCTV viewing I was able to leave without payment. Hhmmm so no apologies for accusing me of denting the truck but it was good for me to leave.

Worst parking lot ever. One of their spaces are taken by a u-box and there are three left, that are taken. Not to mention there was a 14 truck (or 16 as Ive heard they call it now) in the lot trying to back out and almost hit my car because there is little to no space.
