I was in town visiting my daughter and noticed the front guard under my car was hanging down, and I still needed to drive home. I called Lorton Auto Service who was close by, and the shop owner told me to come by and hell look at it for me, mind you, the shop was closing soon. When we got there, he took the car right away, in ten minutes he fixed it for me. He was very reasonably priced too. If I lived there I would definitely use them for all my auto services. And my daughter, who lives there, said she would start using them.

The staff at Lorton Auto is friendly, honest and trusting. They help the customer understand whats going on with their vehicle and explains the ins and outs of the cars possible issues so the customer has an idea of whats going on. They let the customer know what is urgently needed for the car and what can be done in the future. They do not force repairs on the customer and talks it out with them. They are also accommodating, I called to make an appointment for a tire patch and John (manager) said I could come over and get it done. 20 minutes later, Im getting help with one of the workers and they did it for me quick and free of charge. Ive been coming here to get oil changes and get different repairs done on other cars in my family. I will always come here for car work or car advice. They deserve 10 stars out of 5, theyre great, never had a bad experience and dont think I ever will. Keep up the great work!!

Really, really good and honest shop. Great people and great communication. In the past month, I’ve dealt with a lot of car issues, and by extension have faced a lot of people lying to me, overcharging me, or not taking me seriously. It’s really disheartening to face when already stressed about cars. This shop is not like this- they are respectful and treat you as their own. I went to get a quote on an oil leak and some related items, and was given a list of some items wrong and how they compare to the actual value of my car. I got upfront answers, was not patronized, had a really timely appointment, and really appreciate the care they gave my car. Thank you!

I came here for a problem with our van. They were able to look at my car first thing the next morning, and when they couldnt replicate the problem I noticed, they asked me to come in and work with the mechanic, Kevin, to try and locate the issue. Before doing any repairs they wanted to make sure they were solving the right problem. Turns out it was something extremely minor and they didnt even charge me. Going somewhere else or a dealership would have cost me hundreds of dollars and likely would have not actually fixed the issue. Thanks Kevin and Rick for working with me to find and fix the issue!! Will come here for all of my future auto work!!

I came in for an estimate for an exhaust and I was expecting some outrageous price, however it wasnt. And to my surprise John was able to squeeze me in without hesitation, or any issue. He was very polite and kind and that is exactly the service that everyone likes. The waiting area was nice, clean and accommodating. I will definitely be visiting this shop again.

John B. is the best! He took the time to accurately diagnosed an issue with the main frame of my car that 3 other shops were unable to diagnose or diagnosed improperly. As a woman who is not very knowledgeable about mechanic services, I’ve never felt taken advantage of at Lorton Auto. On more than one occasion John has taken the time to explain which repairs were needed immediately and which ones could wait until I could afford them. The quality of customer service he provides is far above any other car shop I’ve experienced. I currently live in fairfax but drive all the way to Lorton Auto because the quality of service is worth it.

Took my 2014 Jeep Wrangler JK (V6 / 3.6L), 73.000 miles, in for repairs. John addressed the issues with me in detail and explained the cost estimate. I’m well-versed in vehicle maintenance; John was honest and accurate with the needed repairs.Maintenance- The Oil Cooler Housing Unit was replaced, both valve covers, intake manifold gaskets, spark plugs, PCV Valve, engine coolant, oil changed, and a couple other small things. All added up to ~ 4K.From start to finish, this experience was top notch, no issues, on time and the repairs were done correctly.I highly recommend this establishment for vehicle maintenance.

Friendly staff. Showed up for an oil change, they said that I need an appointment. I was tempted to go somewhere else, but I live close by and just agreed and made 2 appointments for both cars we own. Returned to get our first car serviced and everything went smooth, Cristian made a few recommendations and wasnt pushy. Feeling good, I returned with a 2nd car for an oil change. Everything went well, mechanic came out and talked to me about an air filter. Told him to just change the filter to save me time because I had other things to do. The mechanic told me John would let me know what the cost is for oil change and air filter and they would be done shortly. After John got off the phone, he told Its $59. I assumed that was the cost of my oil change and air filter. About 45 minutes later, I was being told my charges came to $123 for a $39.99 oil change and an air filter. When I asked for what the charges were, he said the air filter was $59. I was confused and Johns defense was I said it was $59. I didnt want to get into an argument over a misunderstanding. I felt taken care of until a miscommunication with John. I was never told they didnt have the filter in stock, I was pressed for time and had to leave. I couldnt wait for a filter to be brought in even if they paid me to wait for it. 3 stars because I do believe the people there arent bad and I felt taken care of, but lack of communication from John in that situation made it awkward for me. I was more shocked than upset and it seemed John was more upset than apologetic. In the end, John removed the air filter and didnt charge me for it. I want to come back because they are close to my home, but Im not sure if I want to deal with the awkwardness after that situation. I think if you just ask the obvious questions and assume nothing, youll probably have a good experience there.

This is my go to place for anything my car needs! I had to being my car in for engine light. John noticed I needed to do my inspection too and offered to add the service. Anticipation of my needs ✅! Scheduling was very easy and they have always been accommodating. Everyone was very polite and knowledgeable. Beyond service, the waiting area was clean and comfortable.

Bought a new car and took it to a different place that was gonna charge me for $3000. I was surprised to see how much things needed to be done and decided to have Lorton Auto take a second look. This is the place to take your vehicle period. In life you need a good doctor, a good bartender and a good mechanic. This is the good mechanic....hands down. They are honest, available, will work to find the issue with your car and will be level with you on the price to fix it. They are not the cheapest but no where near expensive.....they have a fully qualified and highly trained staff that are damn good at their jobs and it shows. John is no nonsense about running the place so dont try to BS him or the lady with the bird......you will never have a sob story they have not heard and you will get zero play. And yes I said bird.....there is one in the waiting area....but mostly sitting on her shoulder. If you are nice...the bird will climb your arm and camp out.......so awesome. Trust me......these are your mechanics - all makes and models both foreign and domestic. Recommend you call ahead for an appointment to avoid a long wait.

This place is awesome. I love this place. They are so nice and it is very clean. The do not try to beat you out of your money. They will tell you the truth and give you the best suggestion. They plugged my tire for free which was unexpected. I really appreciate them doing that being as though my car was a week old straight off the lot. I just got off of the Auto Train and had a flat tire that required being fixed. I called them, they were very friendly on the phone. Took the car right over, they looked at it immediately. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. All of the staff were very friendly. Also, for a business where everyone worked on cars they were all very clean and neat. The shop was busy but very organized. I would definitely recommend them and if I lived there I would certainly use them for general maintenance and body work..

I called because I had a nail in my tire and the manager was very helpful. He told me to bring my car in and he will look at it. Once I arrived he told me that there was a 70% chance that my tire could be saved. He was able to plug my tire, which prevented me from having to buy a new one.It was done free of charge and I really appreciate it! I just left John and the guys at Lorton Auto Service Center extremely happy with their quality of service and an extra $444 in my wallet. After the stealership quoted me $669 for my front brake pads & rotors, and another $399 for my rear brake pads & rotors I knew I could find a place that could do the work for a lot cheaper. And Lorton Auto Service Center was just the place! After I purchased the parts on my own, I called everywhere to see if any shops would allow me to bring them in and I just pay the labor. They all said no, thats until I talked to John on Friday afternoon. Not only did he say yes, he asked me when I wanted to bring the car in. I was pleasantly shocked by his reply. I brought the car in Monday morning and by noon I was out the door. Their quality of work is phenomenal! I recently had my car serviced with Lorton Auto Service for the first time and I couldnt be more pleased. One of the technicians actually stopped on the side of the road to help me with an overheating car. Once the issues were diagnosed, updates were provided as appropriate and the repairs were done within the estimated time . I took my 2012 Acura in for routine service and a Virginia safety inspection on 9 Oct. 2018. I expected it to be 2 to 3 hours, so I took a lot of reading material. The ambiance in the waiting room is quite pleasant and is a nice place to read. Unfortunately, I didnt get as much reading done as I expected because I was out of there in under 2 hours. Actually I was quite pleased! Also the bill for services was very reasonable!

This place is quick, honest and just downright kind. I had a slow leak and they repaired and had me back on the road within half an hour. They could have upcharged me for god knows what as I know nothing about my car, but they were approachable and great!

I had a screw in my tire, so at around 11am I went looking to get it fixed. I stopped at two places but they couldnt fit me in for at least a couple of hours. I headed back to work and happened to see Lorton Auto Service, I am so happy I did. Theresa got my vehicle in and Juan was done in less than 15 minutes and they did it for free! Lorton Auto Service did a great job on my truck. I took it to Lorton Auto after 4 different dealerships kept my truck for 4 months and charged me tons of money just to return it in the same condition. Lorton Auto figured out the problem in 1 day. It ended up being a simple fix and their pricing is reasonable. They are honest and reliable.

My car broke down while traveling cross country. I called Lorton Auto Service and explained my situation and need to get repairs done today. They responded no problem bring it in. Upon arrival they quickly got to work. They discovered a broken bracket that caused my serpentine belt failure and were able to licate a bracket and get me back on the road in short order. I have a Mercedes and if you are like me you dont just take your car to any shop without doing research. I was very happy to find this shop for multiple reasons, skilled professional mechanics, customer service is wonderful and best of all pricing. I have visited this location twice, once for a simple maintenance service but this second time was for an electrical problem which was driving me crazy ! Gabe the owner was very knowledgeable and assured me that he had the best diagnostic mechanics and completely put me at ease that they could tackle this problem for me. I was very pleased that within a few hours they had found a short and had my vehicle repaired in no time. Overall this shop is great and really cares about there customers and taking care of them, convenient, and priced right.

I brought my car in for a second opinion because I didnt trust the feedback I got from the first shop I tried. The staff here was very friendly and took the time before and after I brought my car in to explain everything they were going to do/did to the car. They provided me with a quote when I left, but they were upfront about the urgency of the issues (there was no pressure to make a decision immediately or upsell me on services like the other shop). I really appreciated their straightforward approach.

I had a squealing issue with my car and they did the repair in a timely manner and even took additional time to write up estimates for additional issues with my vehicle to be completed at a different time. I have been going to Lorton Auto for over a year now on recommendation of my parents. The firs time I went, I had arrived near the end of their work day. An employee came out to greet me and asked how he could help. I expected to tell him what I needed and make an appointment; instead, he offered to go ahead and do it right then. Every time I have gone since then, they have provided excellent service, and they have never pushed for replacement of parts that were not needed yet just to make a buck. They pride themselves on quality work, and good customer service. Just recently I had gone in to see if they could determine what was causing a squealing noise when I drove and low speeds. Not only did they find the issue (which wasnt anything complex), they made the small fix free of charge. Finding a good mechanic is always difficult, but I would recommend Lorton Auto to anyone.

I bought a Group-on to get my tires aligned at Lorton Auto Service Center on our Sienna mini-van and I made an appointment to have it done about a month ago. I deliberately scheduled it for the earliest appointment time, 8 a.m. I arrived on time and the mechanics took my car right in and aligned the tires. They did a very professional job and I it was finished in about 45 minutes. Great job!

Excellent customer service. HONEST. Brought my van in to be inspected, believing I needed new tires. Lorton Auto told me my tires were fine for another year. Will be using them exclusively from now on. Fast service, very convenient to schedule on the internet.

Brought my BMW to get a oil change and it was fast, clean, Great customer service. Looked my car over and recomended front brakes. Brought me out themselves to show me my brakes. Definitely will be back to get them done. If your new intown this is definitely the shop to go to.

Good service, friendly people. They offered me free shuttle.Came here for the oil change and rotation/balancing. They do not allow you bring your own parts.But the big no is for the quality of the parts. After 5 months of normal usage (about 5000 miles) the oil filter was broken and falls inside. This never happens before when I using my own oil filters.

The customer service was above and beyond. The staff are remarkably friendly and knowledgeable, very personable! They serviced my car with quick precision and guided me through what maintenance was needed for my vehicle. Will definitely return!

They did a great job when I was in a pinch with a car that I was worried had a big issue. I like how they gave me suggestions on things they noticed about the car while they were fixing the problem. I know that mechanics may usually do this, but they were really great at explaining the rationale for the suggestions. I also liked that he was not high-pressure when he was telling me the suggestions, very matter of fact and gave me a written estimate that I could come back when I am ready. Will definitely be coming back here in the future!
