This is the second time that my husband I have done business with Solo Flooring. The short feedback is “don’t hesitate, they are amazing.”José is not just an expert on everyday flooring needs, but he absolutely worked with us in an out-of-the-box solution. My husband and I are long-term DIYers, but the custom shower pan we created was a horror. José came over and looked at all of our construction, specifically the pan. We discussed the problem, he took photos and measurements, and he asked about the materials we used to make sure he had all the information he needed to help us. José always has a smile, knows his stuff, has a great sense of humor, and customer service is clearly a priority with this company. Anyway, we were given 2 comprehensive quotes to include possible problems could have found, both of which were great and affordable. In 2016 we needed some help fixing the wood floors in our home and his team did a great job so it there was no question when I was buying a condo who I wanted to do my floors. Jose made suggestions on what the best option would be for us and made the whole process as smooth as possible and the job was done in our time frame. I was almost considering going with a cheaper quote but I went against it because I trusted Jose and knew that I would be taking care of based on the original job he did for us. We are so happy with the results!

Solo Flooring did a fantastic job putting a new floor in our 90+ year old home we use as the Guadalupe Free Clinic, now in our 16th year. Due to the age of the building and the numerous additions we’ve made to convert the house into a clinic, the floors weren’t very level. However, the guys were able to use a flexible cement mixture before laying the floor which made our floors as level as possible. They then installed vinyl plank perfectly. You can’t even find a seam between planks. The floors are beautiful, comfortable on our feet and heavy duty, able to withstand heavy traffic. The guys did the job quickly and efficiently in two days. The did a great job moving and returning all the furniture and records. They cleaned up both inside and out so you can’t even tell they were there. I especially appreciated that they coordinated with me through the entire process. I highly recommend them for your flooring needs!

I would highly recommend Jose and his team at Solo flooring. We had existing carpet replaced, new hard wood flooring placed and LVP flooring done in the downstairs. This was a large project and they completed it in one week!! Jose came by and answered all of our questions which we had many before starting this project. Very Professional Up Front; Then, Its Nothing But ExcusesThe sales and estimation process was very professional - punctual and thorough. I contracted for $10,000 in flooring and stair renovation.The team showed up on time, but with an unclear, inaccurate understanding of the scope of the work contracted - they did not know they were supposed to replace floors in the closets in the room. Had to call the owner to get this cleared up; the crews command of English was very poor. To their credit, this matter was cleared up relatively quickly.They started and performed one third of the work contracted within the time we agreed upon. Then took off for two weeks, and past the agreed upon completion time because the flooring materials werent available, yet. I asked the owner why they agreed to do the work before the end of the month if they werent going to be able to start the second part of the work until the middle of the next month, his response was that they had started on time and he had no control over the material delivery date.They left without reinstalling the stair handrails after carpeting the stairs. I asked the owner why they didnt reinstall the handrails. He said he hadnt understood I wanted the handrails reinstalled after the stairs were carpeted. He hadnt included it in the price, but would do it for an additional charge. Hadnt understood I wanted handrails re-installed on the stairs?One month later the caulk seal is coming away from the toilet - the one they reinstalled during the flooring. He sent someone over to reapply caulk. Another month, and the caulk is coming away, again. This time, I see its because the toilet was reinstalled too loose and is rocking on the floor. I contact the owner to reinstall the toilet, this time more securely, so it wont rock. It wasnt rocking before they reinstalled it. Thats not our problem, is the response, You need to call a plumber.I selected this company because of the reviews and up front, they appear very professional and competent. Since the work was begun its been nothing but excuses and problems and all sorts of reasons why they cant do the work correctly, do the work on time, or fix something they fouled up.Dont contract this company unless you have the time to keep a very close eye on them while theyre doing the work, time is NOT of the essence, and you have time to demand re-work or a good lawyer.

A friend recommended Solo to us. They installed T & G hardwood flooring in our four bedrooms and a small area in the family room. This area required flooring to be interlaced with existing flooring. Solo was able to match the existing floor perfectly.They also installed tile at the basement entrance and in front of the upstairs fireplace. From the first piece of flooring to the last piece of tile to be installed- their work was flawless. This company exceeded our expectations. Their customer service was extraordinary and I would recommend them for any size job.

This company used as a sub contractor by my insurance company. Wasnt impressed by the products or the customer service by the owner but I felt I had no choice at the time. Recently replaced the upstairs carpeting by a different company that I am extremely pleased and satisfied with. The main level and basement will be forthcoming. Solo has forever lost my business.

Unfortunately, we have had to use the services of Solo Flooring on three separate occasions due to water damage to our flooring, both carpet and hardwood. MOST FORTUNATELY, we couldnt be happier with the EXCELLENT service and quality of workmanship provided by Solo Flooring team. Jose Lopez was always accommodating with our schedules when arranging for estimates and product review. His estimates for repair were prompt, very reasonable, and always accepted without question by our insurance company when applicable. His install staff was always on time, courteous, mindful of other activities (e.g. other repair crews), fast, and always left the work/repair area clean. Their workmanship has been superb and Jose ALWAYS ensures customer satisfaction. All of our flooring has been replaced so I hope I don’t need the services of Solo Flooring anytime soon however I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to everyone I know that is looking for quality, value, and most importantly satisfaction in a flooring company.

I had a complicated wood flooring project including matching a poorly stained floor to our existing red oak floors and installing new floors in a powder room, closet and kitchen to also match the existing floors. I was pretty nervous about getting a good match because other floor refinishers that I spoke to werent very confident. Jose of Solo Flooring was very willing to do a test match before we proceeded with the project and his team were able to sand a test area and create a test match within the first hour. They then proceeded to enclose the space they were working with plastic to keep any dust to a minimum through the rest of the house and they also use a very low dust sanding system.The two man crew, Mario and Alberto, are artists. Very meticulous and efficient at their work. They did demolition on the existing ceramic tile in the kitchen and started laying new wood in the powder room and closet right away once they had removed baseboards. They were also able to do a number of board repairs in the dining room - I cant even tell where they were repaired. There was sanding and handscraping multiple times to get a smooth and even finish on existing and new wood. I would absolutely recommend Jose, his team and Solo Flooring for your flooring needs and plan to hire them again to refinish my existing floors. Everyone was very easy to work with, listened to my concerns prior to the job, cleaned each day and finished the job on time.

They refinished our main level hardwood floors and replaced the carpeting throughout our upstairs, and we are very pleased with the results.I was most impressed with the level of communication and customer service. All my questions were answered promptly, I knew exactly what to expect at every point, and I never had a hard time getting a response to emails or calls. The price quoted included everything up front, so there were no surprises or add-ons at the end. There were no hard sells or pressure AT ALL. On the contrary, I felt like they just wanted to make sure we got exactly what we wanted (and we did!). When I had an additional request later in the process, it was accommodated immediately. Potential changes (such as a backordered item that might have delayed the schedule, but ended up coming in on time) were communicated in advance. The work was done exactly on the schedule provided, and we received a follow-up email after it was completed to make sure we were satisfied. Our whole house looks beautiful, and I would absolutely use Solo Flooring again!

Stay away! This company takes no accountability and its owner, Jose, is exceptionally difficult to work with. Solo flooring was used by our contractor after the flooding of our basement. Jose turned out to be VERY difficult to work with. The carpet was not installed as we desired and Jose charged us additional money to come out and correct his companies oversight. After a few months, the carpet began to unravel and Jose blamed the our kids, our vacuum, and even a dog we do not own. We were not trying to blame anyone, we just wanted a remedy. Eventually, due to Joses continual inaction, I was forced to contact our contractor who spoke with Mohawk carpets and began our claim. Mohawk decided their carpet was faulty and provided us with new carpet. Solo flooring again installed the carpet and once completed we found a broken lamp and the closet doors of a bedroom were improperly installed. When contacted, Jose, again refused to accept accountability, began to argue with me and instantly became very defensive. When his lack of accountability throughout the entire process was brought to his attention, Jose continues to argue, attacked us, the customer, and even took credit for us getting new carpet saying it would not have happened without him!!! The contractor could not believe Joses response nor his behavior and had to come to our house to fix Solo Floorings damage. Do not use this company.

Solo flooring- Jose (owner) and all his crews did an outstanding job thruout the whole process of redoing all the floors on the lower level of our house in Wessynton, VA. From helping us discern what would meet a number of needs, then redoing the sub floors, installing Congoleum tiles, all hand grouted in a beautiful pattern ..to the result that is stunning, comfortable and practical...we are 100% pleased.Its a terrific job, that we love, but as important we felt thruout that we were treated ..like family... because all those involved simply wanted to do thier best for us in a very personal way. Unusual, for sure, and the reason they are coming back to install carpeting.
