It is a wonderful shop, great service and great neighborhood. The bread is great! Hands down delicious. We sampled some bread while there! They do have samples! But I bought 2 loaves, a sourdough and a whole sandwich loaf, and paid $19. It didn’t sink In Until I got home. I am not sure if this was a mistake or the normal price. So I am taking a star away on pricing for now. I will go back for sandwiches, which seem to be well priced.

Seriously excellent customer service. They went out of their way to hand me my iced and hot drinks as soon as they were made, warmed up my cinnamon roll, and gave me extra frosting. I would give them 10 stars if I could! Thank you all.

Ive taken a liking to this place. I initially didnt know it was a chain. The bread tastes so fresh, the staff take such pride in their service, and the coffee and signature butters and soups are so delicious, Id expected this to be a mom and pop. With that being said, hail to the Lorton salad which comes with delicious chicken salad, fresh, sliced tomatoes, roasted pecans, with a choice of dressing. Hail to the ham, egg, and cheese on jalapeño cheddar. I shall return.

The place was great, nice location with indoor and outdoor tables. The service was great as well as food and coffee. Definitely recommended. You should try it out.

I was super impressed when I walked inside. This was the first time I had heard about this place, I had googled it. The menu had a good selection and everything looks so good.I got a Southwest Panini and it was amazing. The baked goods selection made it really hard to pick just one. And all the different types of breads was impressive. Im looking forward to going back next time Im in the area!

I really love this place. They have such amazing salads, sandwiches, soups, everything. My husband loves the Lorton Salad with egg. Their egg salad sandwich is also amazing. So is their breakfast. Really, anything you get there is delicious. Their fresh break is also delicious. Their crab soup is my favorite when they have it. They also have a bread pantry for families struggling during COVID. I just love this place and supporting it. The enitr staff is always friendly too.

Ive eaten here before and enjoyed my sandwich and the bread I bought. This last visit, the coffee wasnt very hot, tasted stale and what I thought was a scone was more like a muffin top. The staff is as friendly and helpful as usual so the good service will bring me back, just not for the coffee.

What a great surprise. This little coffee shop/bakery has wonderful sandwiches. I decided to try the veggie sandwich after visiting a cardiologist around the corner. I love vegetables and I thought I might give it a try.The bread was superb. Whole grain with seeds(you can really see them there), american cheese and a whole variety of vegetables, all in with a succulent sun-dried tomato spread.I havent have a great sandwich like this in a long time. I cant imagine how the other options of sandwiches might taste, but with the aroma of fresh pressed panini all over the store, you wont regret to try all of them here.I am telling you, this place is a gem. Wow, bread is amazing! A great selection of artisan breads and a friendly staff. You can tell they put lots of love and passion into what they do. Their coffee is also awesome, and they have lots of locally roasted beans to buy for home brewing.Just make sure you get there early. They sell out of their favorites quickly.

Worth the drive from Spotsylvania. Got the apple crunch bread to take home and got a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch as well as the tuna melt. Everything fresh and yummy worth trying!

Sandwiches are awful, and salads overpriced for what they are. Grilled cheese came soggy and cold and they use some white sauce/paste thats horribly salty on their sandwiches. Couldnt really make out the taste over the saltiness of the that white sauce/paste. The cheese is badly distributed that it just oozed out of one side and the other side had nothing. We had it redone without the white sauce/paste and still it came out soggy. My son wouldnt eat it. Ordered Mediterranean salad, and roasted eggplants are actually tiny dehydrated eggplants. 8.95 for a salad like that is overpriced. Staff needs better training on making sandwiches and serving customers.

The inside is closed off because of the pandimic but it seems big enough to still be able to socially distance inside. The outdoor area has way too many flys so its hard to enjoy a meal there. Is best to take your food, hop in your car and go. The food is okay, nothing to write home about.

Great store for getting great bread and baked goods with all natural ingredients no preservatives, no pesticides, no artificial colors and every ingredient is sourced meticulously and its made the old fashioned way with wholesome ingredients in fact this is the only bread that people with sensitive allergies can eat! And thats a fact because one of my friends can only eat this bread and no other. So it makes me feel good that your getting a wholesome nutritious bread!! They have many varieties of bread to choose from daily. I love it and thats why I keep coming back! And if you dont believe it they have a counter where they will cut you a slice with your choice of butter that you can try yourself before you buy!! You wont be disappointed!!

Yummy and a nice place to study if you can get a table. Everything is delicious. I just found it a few weeks ago, but Ive been back several times since then because its so good.They do make one group of orders at a time, so if there are a bunch of people ahead of you, it may take a bit of time, but the personal attention they give each order makes it extra delicious.

Disappointing experience. Have stopped in a couple of other times, but probably won’t again. It took 20 minutes to put together two cold sandwiches—not busy but only one person working—and then messed up our order and we ended up having to throw an entire sandwich away. Waste of time and money unfortunately!

I have been here many times. The quality(natural and cleverly combined) and tastes of the food has never left me disappointed. I gave a 4th star just for the food. The prices run higher than expected. I paid just over $20 for soup, sandwich, and a dessert bar. Another thing that can be improved is the training and management of the staff. Many of them do not seem knowledgeable about the products and communication appears to be a challenge in processing orders to completion.

Service can get quirky here: got your usual mix of kids home from college and one really distracted manager. Other than that, this rating is purely on food bc their bread is fresh and sandwiches are super tasty with their spreads, their seasonal varieties are consistently well-themed. Coffee is also a hit or miss depending on who is making it.

Great Harvest sells Frontier Soups & they are delicious -especially the corn chowder. The special for January was a free pack of rolls with the purchase of each soup mix. Great deal! I bought several. Also picked up a loaf of honey whole wheat bread for sandwiches.

I hadnt been in about a year but decided to give it another try. Physically theyve changed so front counter is now facing the door and you can see all the way to the back, which I like. Tried the chicken salad on whole wheat two times and its a tasty sandwich, chock full of taste! Big sandwich on fresh bread. Definitely recommend. Oh, and staff is friendly and helpful.

Ive been to many best cafe places but this truly makes the name. I tried it for the first time and my taste buds screamed for everything on the menu. Their sandwiches, spreads and fresh bread is a MUST HAVE. Whats even better about this place is that their food is prepared with healthy organic ingredients. They truly live up to their quote healthy never tasted so good.

I love Great Harvest. It is near the place that I work so I am always here. I had a tried a bunch of their things, but by far my favourite combination to order from them is the Groovy Grilled Cheese sandwich along with a nice cool Iced coffee.Like any sandwich place the cheese and ingredients are crisp and delicious however, the main selling point for the great harvest has to be the freshness of their bread. There is a certain kind of taste to bread when it is fresh off the oven and I dont know if they bake every order they have in this place, but somehow they are able to keep the freshness of the bread intact.

Just stopped by and picked up some old fashion white bread! Looks really good. But would love to see some hard crust type breads such as ciabatta. Will deffinatly be back !🍞🍞

First impressions are very important, the place seems extremely nice, I order a simple latte, after 15 mins of waiting, I realized that not one person was near the coffee machine, they completely forgot about my order! I had to get back in line-and asked them to please make my coffee, they forgot about my order!!I was offered a large coffee for the inconvenience and that was nice, but I had already paid for a large one anyways, maybe the second time around I will have a better experience! This is such a nice location and they seem to be nice, a bit forgetful but nice

Not sure what happened. Went there on a Saturday, late morning. The place was empty. A special needs young man was manning the counter. I asked for a breakfast sandwich and coffee. Not only the young man was unable to charge me with a debit card, he gave me the coffee and never placed my order... There were 3 ladies at the open concept kitchen babbling away who didnt even notice a customer was at their store. I could literally had picked up anything from the counters and left. The young man was completely self absorbed, no eye contact, kept walking back and forth. I waited long enough to know nothing would be done about my order and left.

Conveniently located, great sandwiches and great service. Also have some locally homemade whole foods products for sale, like syrup! Yummy!

Staff was pretty nice but the place was absolutely filthy. Dead flies in the corners of certain tables and bad aromas surrounding comfortable chairs and the tables are sticky. Im not even sure they clean the place! There are so many dead flies, it might as well be a cemetery.

This place is so cute, the music is great and the atmosphere is great to meet with friends. The staff is very friendly and helpful which really adds to the experience. Ive had the high quality loose leaf earl grey tea, egg and cheese sandwich, cinnamon roll with icing and their cinnamon swirl bread and it all tasted delicious. They are reasonably priced and the outdoor seating makes this place very desirable. They make everything fresh, sell bread loaves, shortbread bars, granola bars, soup kits, cookies and they sell at farmers markets so its just an awesome place to go with an array of offerings.

Really great coffee and customer service when I visited this day. Being pretty hungry this breakfast sandwich hit the spot. It might have been a touch too salty as other reviewers mentioned, but just to be clear, it didnt stop me from finishing the entire thing..

The scones here are to die for. Its hard not to eat every baked good in the case, especially with the baked bread smell wafting through the place. Decent coffee and a quaint atmosphere. Perfect for a morning date with my lady.

I ordered a Bacon Egg and Cheese for breakfast and couldnt finish half of it because it had a strong taste of garlic in it. Dont really want garlic breathe on my way to work. Couldnt believe it was $8 too.

I can handle food taking longer than it should due to a crowd. I can handle them forgetting part of our order and delivering the other half wrong. This happens and, when dealt with nicely and with a sincere apology, I walk away fine. But to treat customers with disdain and annoyance when we try to get our order right, it truly leaves you dumbfounded. UNREAL lack of customer service and downright manners.

This is the best spot around to get a real sandwich. Unfortunately it’s very unreliable. Many occasions it’s been closed either due to very short hours (10-3 on Sundays) or just simply closed with no rational or warning (Google says it’s open). The staff that’s working there is also hit or miss. Sometimes it’s a wonderful experience with a delicious sandwich. Other times you’ll order the same thing and it’s very different/messy. Great place with a lot of potential but needs to step it up on training and availability.

The sandwiches here are divine. There may be a subway nextdoor, but dont let that fool you. This is the real fresh sandwich place.

The slowest service and even slower with the cdc guidelines

There was some kind of ice machine issue that caused a massive puddle at the door. There was one employee working food. Nothing was prepped for serving customers at 8am. The espresso machine was broken. It looked like the store had not been cleaned that morning since there were old coffee spills/stains on all of the tables. The coffee self prep area with sugar and creamer was a mess. None of the panini presses were on/hot so it took 25min to get a breakfast sandwich. All of this, and there wasnt a manager owner in sight. If this were my place and I was having these kinds of issues in the morning, I would be there sorting it out instead if leaving to a single employee. Overall, this seemed like an extremely poorly managed place. I will not return again.

We enjoyed a special evening out to dinner with our daughter. The special Christmas Eve meal was wonderful. Highly recommend this restaurant!

This has become my favorite lunch spot! Sandwiches are always fresh and never disappoint. Service is always quick. Staff is friendly and always happy to make recommendations. Ive tried the Southwestern Chipotle Turkey, Tuscan Chicken, Cheddar Tuna Melt and the Cubano. All so delicious! Only pitfall is I usually walk out with a cookie, pastry, loaf of bread or fresh granola as well!

I always get their Chix Salad on Garlic Cheddar Bread have it toasted & add cheddar.....its beyond amazing! They use seasoned pecans which makes it soooo flavorful and its literally nothing by chunks of chicken. A very hearty and delicious sandwich! Highly recommend it!Their double cinnamon chip bread is a must for your weekend French toast fix!Ive never had a baked good here that wasnt scrumptious!!Enjoy!

I have had two breakfast sandwiches here on separate occasions. The eggs seem to be pre-made, similar to dunkin donuts, and they use an overbearing garlic spread on them - stay away. The coffee is good and their scones are delicous. Service has always been good but I did witness what l believe to be the shift manager treating some of the employees terribly during one visit.

Bread and atmosphere unexciting.

The kitchen was terrible. It took 45 minutes to get our order and they got it wrong. They blamed it on a broken printer, and being understaffed. They had four people working. Ive worked busier kitchens using handwritten tickets, the same amount of staff, and more complex dishes. Its not hard to make a salad. They were poorly run.

Delicious grilled cheese sangwich, but the tuna melt was alright. Overall just an OK place if you want to stray from your regular food spot.

Average sandwich. Good coffee.
