This was my first time here, hopefully not my last. The smoked salmon crepe was just phenomenal!! The cream cheese filled crepe with smoked salmon and topped with capers just hit the spot! The french teas are sooo good too! The macaroons were delicious!! Service was friendly and speedy. This is a must of you are in the area and have a craving for French cuisine.
What an awesome lunch!! Free Cafe Americano and a fabulous ham and swiss crepes!! My daughter had the smoked salmon crepes. The presentation was incredibly artistic. We also got a sleeve of 12 macrons and two matcha frappuchinos. Oh and another daughter folded an origami dinosaur while we waited for our food 🤣
Hmm… could just be the menu items we ordered but nothing we got was tasty. Blueberry cheesecake did not have a good texture, and all 6 of our macaroons were overly sweet and did not taste like their advertised flavors (green tea macaroon tasted 100% like chocolate).I liked the store itself, though. Super cute and even had a little store to buy items. Service was also super friendly. I would dine in again, just to see if other menu items are better.
Hands down my favorite place in Los Alamos. The macaroons are amazing, the crepes are wonderful, almond croissants are to die for. But the true star of this place is the amazing cakes that they make! 😍 Their customer service is absolutely amazing, everyone there is so friendly and nice. Coffee is good. A little expensive, but you get MORE than what you pay for
The ordering process was confusing and disoriented since you have to order at the end of the counter but have to back up and go between other customers in line to pick your pastries. The French macarons were very cute but expensive compared to other places. There was a wide variety of flavors and they were tasty.
Love this place. Try the crepes, they are delish.
I was a little skeptical of a French bakery/restaurant in such a small town but I am so happy I stopped by. The place was packed and for good reason! I just had tea, a croissant, and ordered a box of macarons - all were fantastic. I wish I could visit here more often so I could try all of the crepe and tea options! There were a ton of specialty products for sale too. Its such a cute shot and worth a stop for breakfast, lunch, or just a coffee date.
Its a cute restaurant and atmosphere. Owner is really nice. Food is good. Try the crepes!
Delightful food, accommodating & efficient staff, laid back atmosphere-- great breakfast spot!
Love everything these guys make! Delicious, quick and delicious!
What a gem this place is! Went in for the macarons, stayed for the relaxing atmosphere and cool grocery items imported from France. Any jam, jelly, candies, crackers, etc (even duck fat!) that you can think of, youll find here arranged onto attractive shelves, making shopping a fun discovery process. The macarons were lovely, especially the lavender. I left on a cloud of contentment.
A little pricy but very high quality and nice atmosphere. If possible, I would have given a 4.5 as the whole reason we came to this restaurant was for a tiered breakfast that was shown on the website...it included various breakfast items and tea for $30 for two people. Apparently the website lied. The staff said they arent serving this during Covid for some reason, so that was super disappointing. BUT, what we ordered was fantastic! Crepes, tea, croissant and macarons were all amazing enough that Fleur de Lys still deserves a 5 star review. Would definitely return ESPECIALLY if they bring back the tiered breakfast for two.
SUCH yummy crepes and fancy pastries / lattes. friendly staff and really fun french grocery items. only downside is it felt quite pricey! but good for a special treat.
Super good french place, I enjoy their french sandwiches and sweets. The coffee is also really good. Its grocery section has some amount of stuff that is not offered in the rest of the town. Its atmosphere is great for chatting.
Tasty tiramisu cake. Great place for a sweet tooth and a cozy gathering place
Great coffee. 👍best croissants, great staff 👍very busy with people enjoying Sunday morning fare which means the place is great with food and service and popular.
Almost TOO delicious. Dangerously tasty, unless you have the metabolism of a hummingbird (or my husband). I have never had a more tender croissant or toothsome, flavorful crepe. The smoked salmon crepe was HUGE and worth every penny. Quiches were savory and light (even though we reheated them incorrectly). Complimentary Americano tasted delightful, like smart energy. Cant wait to try the rest of the menu! Fair value, friendly, safe, and sanitary service and pick up. So stay local and order here for your next meal or treat - help keep this hometown gem open so I can keep eating here! Wont you give them a try?
Sooooo many choices!!! Love this place for morning tea (they have coffee too) and for lunch!
Quaint and cozy French café and grocery near downtown Los Alamos that not only has amazing pastries and food (almond croissants and crepes!) but also offers a wide variety of French and other European groceries and goods -- ideal for any foodie in your life. Convenient online ordering system and local delivery options are also available. They also serve free espresso, and have delicious coffees and teas. Their unique crepe-making station allows you to see them making your order, a fun element while you browse the rest of the store.
The lattes hit the spot and the bakery items could be straight from Paris.
Great crepes and a relaxing atmosphere.
This place is fantastic, best place in town for crepes, coffee, tarts, and French nostalgia. Great place for little gifts too, especially edible ones. To address other reviews, we bring our three kids all the time and they watch them make crepes, but yes, it’s Paris-style-cafe seating, which makes for a cozy experience! Since covid, we get food to go and what a treat to eat a fresh crepe in a park. To address the person who gave it two stars, (well I noticed they gave chili works one star, so well maybe chili works is a bit of a local love that some just don’t understand)—so yeah, I’m gonna go ahead and say their FDL food has been fresh and fantastic every time I had it!
Great chocolate croissants!! Some of the best Ive ever had
I know its strange not having mexican food in new Mexico, but this place is simply excellent. Im not usually the fan of crepes but bre and ham was delicious. Coffee was great too!
Baguette w butter and ham! Like a trip to the French countryside. Nice assortment of preserves and to go snacks made this a perfect stop.
The crepes are very good, highly recommend it.
This is a fun unique place to shop eat and shop. There is a small boutique which can keep one entertained while waiting. They sell both sweet and salty crepes and you really cant go wrong with any of their choices. This is not a good place to go if you have a group larger than 2-3 people. We had a group of 5 people and they dont have a table that would seat that many and most of the tables are round so you cant really pull them together. It should also be noted that this restaurant is not children friendly so would not consider taking a family here. When you order here you pay at the cash register and they will bring your food out to you once you sit down. This was not very obvious when we first walked in. Overall delicious food with a great environment I would definitely recommend it.
Just tried a sampling of what they have on offer -SandwichQuicheDessertThe sandwich was a lot smaller than depicted in the marketing images. The bread was old and stale and tasteless. The pâté tasted about the same. The quiche was overcooked, dry and completely unseasoned. The dessert looked and tasted like it had been made the week before.Nothing fresh. Old stale tasteless food prepared and served without care. This place needs a visit from Ramsay. It feels like the people running it have given up.Not impressed.
Whether dine in or takeout Fleur de Lys is the best.
One of the very best treats in Northern NM. Deliveries and pickups have been right on time, food is hot, portions are generous and the green chile is perfect. Really appreciate the biodegradable packaging as well. New items on the menu - cant wait to try them!
You know the best thing about being retired twice, your brown-eyed girl being retired and being empty nesters? Spontaneity often enters your life once again! On a whim, we stopped by the Fleur de Lys to check out their menu items for a late lunch this Thursday afternoon. We had the breakfast for 2 tower special and got to savor the sweet and savory delicacies this offering combined. It was most excellent! We plan to head back and sample the crepes next time! What a pleasant dining surprise to find in the Atomic City! Its not fast food and thats alright! Turn your phone off and enjoy the moment. Hopefully, with that special someone! The staff are friendly and very attentive! Enjoy this time and the culinary treasures they create....youll be glad you did!
Cozy, friendly, and DELICIOUS! Chocolate mousse pie(?) gets two thumbs up from me, and the one bite I saved for my honey garnered an enthusiastic oh wow, thats really good! Also enjoyed a cold sandwich on croissant (flaky and delicious!) Pesto was incredible, plus lettuce, tomato and cheese, plus I added ham. Delish!Covid- friendly practices in place as well- thanks Fleur de Lys! Well be back to try crepes soon :)
Finding a great weekend breakfast spot in Los Alamos NM is not easy; Im happy that we have Fleur de Lys!They are conveniently located in the downtown area, in a neat little building which serves as a store and a restaurant as well. Not necessarily a 100% authentic French place, but still, their atmosphere and menu make you feel like youre in Europe. Their crapes are delicious, and all the sweet desert options you can get are worth a try. The free espresso is a nice little touch.Give it a try!
Delicious. Fresh, flavorful, friendly.
Very very good!! Reasonably priced and the food is very good. Best breakfast in town. I stopped by on my way out of town and will be sure to come back next time im in New Mexico!!
Id have loved to have had time to sit down and enjoy Fleur de Lys, but on my quick visit, I just got an almond croissant and two lemon macrons. All were delicious, the macrons especially so.Perhaps someday they could put a ramp in instead of just stairs.~~~~~~~~~~After the reply (see below)Ah! Thanks! Next time, I will know.
We love this place! And they’ve done a great job with keeping us supplied with crepes and croissants even during corona-times.
Very cute! Wonderful crepes and pastries. The people here are very nice and the atmosphere is lovely. Really enjoyable place to have tea and macarons with a friend. Check out the combos! Make sure you check the hours, the schedule is a little funky. (Closed on Tuesday)
My husband and I went to this restaurant on our honeymoon. We were craving their food and coffee so we made an impromptu two and a half hour drive to visit this weekend. Even though we made it there only twenty minutes before closing, the staff were very kind and helpful. The food and coffee were delicious as usual.
Macroons were very nice.
THE BEST!!! I loved this place for many many reasons. The tasty French treats, the coffee was amazing, the atmosphere was very welcoming and cozy, the service.....have not seeing big smiles like I did here in a very long time. The whole experience was just amazing! If I lived near this gem then I would be going there everyday. Too bad Im 1,500 miles away but this is the type of place I will travel for (and because I love New Mexico too :))
The food was just delightful, and the atmosphere is just right. I also appreciate the imported goods. Ill definitely be coming back!
Theyve done the best job of any restaraunt in town at making the Covid-19 Era bearable. Excellent sandwitches and pastries, and their almond croissants are to die for.
Fun to discover this French cafe while exploring Los Alamos. Tasty sandwich and light orange blossom herbal tea, served in a real tea cup. Fast service Plenty of space. Would love to see plugs for the laptop bar and later hours.
We decide to try this place out on Christmas Eve. The place is really nice and has that small cafe feel. Not the most kid friendly place but is still great. We all ordered different crepes and they were all great! Definitely will be coming back (Maybe without the kids).
Been here several times now and the food is always good. The crepes, pastries, sandwiches are all very good. I also really like their croissants and various coffees. Next time in I am going to pick up groceries and try a new recipe at home. The ambience is nice as well. Its like you left LA and get a break from your day. Glad we have such a great place to go in town!
The coffee is delicious! Most of the food is too sweet for me and there are few gluten-free choices, but if you have a sweet tooth it is a good place to go. They have free Americana and Expresso coffee with your food. They make the crepes on site and have both sweet and savory. A nice place to stop for a coffee break or a treat.
Amazing pastries and crepes. A gem of Los Alamos. Theyve been delivering food and groceries during COVID and getting boxes of Macarons and French groceries at our door has been a really lovely treat.
I ordered an Americano and crepes. They were DELICIOUS. I have some serious food allergies, which they were able to accommodate. Great service, great food, great location, great atmosphere. I will definitely be back!
Free espresso coffee (really!) and wonderful French pastries and crepes. Cozy atmosphere. Very interesting french products display, including wonderful cheese.
The food here is absolutely PHENOMENAL! The staff is always super friendly and helpful. My favorites are the artichoke/turkey/Swiss Cheese crepe, the macaroons, the chai tea latte, the double shot lattes, the cream puffs, marscapone cream tart, the fruit tart, and the chocolate croissants. I had never ordered from here until the pandemic started and now I order regularly. The chai is absolutely wonderful and the double shot lattes give me that energy boost I need for rough mornings.I also think the online ordering app is very well made. Whoever made it did a great job.I will say that the lattes are REAL lattes and not very sweet. If you like your drinks sweet I would suggest the Original Chai tea latte. I enjoy a chocolate croissant to go with my drink when I order. There was one instance when I ordered a croissant sandwich but since the option was not available through the website I added special instructions of what to add to the croissant and that I would pay the extra charge when I arrived to pick it up. The girls ended up taking the cost out of the tip and told me not to worry about paying extra. It is a small thing, but that showed me the staff cares about their customers and so I like to tip extra because of that. The items are a bit pricey, but I think it is worth every penny and also if you can’t afford the food then you shouldn’t be ordering out.Fleur de Lys also sells extra items. I have bought several jars of preserves from here which are really good. The strawberry violet and coco passion and peach vanilla preserves are delicious.
This place is super cool. You get stuff here you cant get anywhere else. If youre on a budget didnt even come close to the door. The macarons are insanely good, and priced accordingly. You can actually get duck liver thats edible here. In addition to have pretty good lunches, for the lab crowd
We love this sweet little shop! It’s so nice to have fresh gluten free treats available, and everything is always esquisit. The owners and staff are so kind and welcoming to me and my children. We are so lucky to have such an authentic lovely place in our town. My favorites are the cold brew coffee and the pear almond cake!
Best place in town by far! Starbucks holds nothing on this place! The owner Marcel is a wonderful accommodating business owner that goes above and beyond for his customers! This place is a must go if you havent been! Best sweets and espresso, teas ect in town!!!!
They catered the Chamber of Commerce breakfast meeting this morning. It was wonderful! They served two kinds of Quiche, a tower of Macarons, Fresh baguettes with butter and jam, Croissants...and more! Everything was delicious and set up professionally. I have not been to the location yet, but I cant wait to go and get more of what I had this morning! I highly recommend them to cater your next meeting.
We had a breakfast this morning. everything was so delicious. I never been in France, but The atmosphere at the Fleur De Lys makes me feel as we are there. :)
Absolutely perfect. Every time
We come here every time we visit our friends in Los Alamos. Great macarons, crepes and sandwiches. Cute decorations and a cozy environment with a fancy selection of items in their shop.
I just ordered a beautiful lemon curd cake for my daughters 14th birthday! I had the great pleasure of doing so with the owner, so kind, courteous and I’m thrilled we have this amazing place and wonderful people here in my town!C’est Magnifique!!
Always great place to enjoy a cup of coffee or yummy pastry, crepe, or quiche. And for Los Alamos the atmosphere is great.
Fleur de Lys is a wonderful place. While crepes are not particularly challenging to make, they do an excellent job of adding delicious fillings. We had two crepes, one with Nutella (and added strawberries) that was amazing. The presentation was beautiful, with several thinly sliced strawberries and powdered sugar on top and a generous amount of Nutella and more strawberries inside. The other was ham, cheese, and green chili, all in excellent proportions. To drink we had a chai latte and a mocha latte, both delicious. Portions arent huge, but the food is very well made. On the way out we picked up several macrons and a couple croissants. The macrons are very pricey, but when you consider how much work goes into making them, theyre worth it, although definitely a special treat. There are half a dozen or so tables to sit at in various places around the shop, giving it a very Parisian atmosphere, it at least what the average American would imagine that to be.
Its a great little shop, full of expensive fine French foodstuffs. The teas are very good, and they have a lot of fine French grocery items. I have not eaten there myself, but friends did like the crepes.
Authentic French grocery, great crepes, sandwiches and pastries
Little food island in a food desert. The food is simple and limited, but all done extremely well. Also a French specialty food shop so you can take home some great cheese, soups or condiments. Lovely owners are engaged in daily operations.
This place is amazing! I love their crepes, pastries, coffee and macarons! The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The owners are lovely and go the extra mile to make everyone feel welcome!
Where to start? The best baguettes, croissants, salami and cheese I’ve had since moving back to the states from Europe. Was thrilled to see the tasty packaged waffles I grew to love. Grab a cup of Jasmine tea, a pastry and sit back and enjoy!
Authentic French. The croissants are the real thing. The sandwiches and crepes are good. I hear the quiche is tasty. My daughter loves the macarons.
Love this place! One of my favorite establishments in town! All the food I have had there is amazing! I am always made to feel welcome as well! I highly recommend going and trying a ham and Swiss crepe if you haven’t already, top notch!P.s. the macarons are out of this world!
Best pastries around!
Been here multiple times and have never been served anything but great food. Their quiche, crepes, and sandwiches are all excellent, and their desserts are nothing short of perfect. My only wish is that they had a broader menu. I know its just supposed to be reminiscent of a French cafe, but I would love it if the owners/chefs opened up a full blown restaurant or switched up the menu so I could try other dishes. This is the one consistently excellent place to eat up on the hill. Also the staff is always really friendly.
A French taste in New Mexico, who would believe it? Great place to have almond croissants, crepes, macarons, learn French and drink FREE coffee!!! Can it get better? Yes!! Because they always surprise us by getting better!!
Best cutest little French cafe ever, the macarons and pastries are fantastic. Plus they started doing free coffee Fridays! And how could I forget about their little store filled with French and European snacks, soaps, and stuff. Highly recommend this place!
Delicious savory crepe and Americano, great ambience, a pleasant place to relax and work for a couple hours over lunch.
We had the most amazing cheese tray, macarons, and hot drinks. Plus we bought unique and wonderful gifts to share with friends. The staff is attentive and accommodating. A wonderful experience overall!
Excellent service! Excellent pastries and drinks! And lots of wonderful choices of French cookies, drinks, escargots, condiments, etc to take home.
Great food, atmosphere and specialty food shop. Macaroons in many flavors. Great gifts!!
Great service and wonderful food. Had lunch today. My picky 4 year old ate every bit.
Awesome owners with awesome staff! This is one local eatery that has been consistently good even with the Pandemic. One thing especially nice for people who cant always get out is that they will continue local delivery! Yay!Support small businesses, and Support local can both be checked off by eating and shopping here!Locally owned and operated French bistro and store with beautiful pastries, espresso bar, light lunches, tea, and several seats inside as well as one small table outside the front door.
Always a good stop. Superb crèpes, delicious pastries, and refreshing beverages. Attentive staff and a unique inventory of cheeses and French sundries.
Excellent baguette, macaroon is ok
Delicious quiche, authentic crepes, free coffee, and great service -- all you need to brighten your Sunday morning.
Great coffee and the crepes were as good as Paris. Cool French market too.
Great coffee and a fun place to hangout. The vegetarian sandwich is yum!
Solid French pâtisserie with New York prices. Croissants and lemon tart are absolutely divine. Genuinely good, just expensive.
This may be the best French bakery I have ever been to and they have specially grocery items. We are lucky to have them in town.
Great little french shop and restaurant ... Their crepes are unusual!
Very good french food with good service. Definitely one of the best in Los Alamos.
Such a variety of crepes! If you like sweet, try the Nutella. If you like savory the ham and swiss is excellent. And the Americanos are no charge!
Cest magnifique. Amazing food...amazing coffee and tea. And got to pick up some grocery items I have not seen since living in France.
