This place is the best. Great prices and selection. All the little trinkets and Joann fabric stuff is all on the lower level when you walk in so you can just breeze past all that garbage and walk up to the top level to all the actual art supplies. Super friendly staff and parking is sometimes virtually nonexistent, good luck!

This place is pretty great, an artist playground and novices wonderland. Its actually a lot bigger than you first imagine at first glance from outside. Its two levels and hard to focus because they carry so many art supplies. I needed acrylic paint, specifically skin tones and found plenty. Will absolutely return!

Has the serious stuff as well as fun stuff for the hobbyist. Knowledgeable staff. Love this place— hanging out here takes you back to the days of good old non-franchise specialty shops.

Ive been coming here for all my art supply needs for years now. I used to have trouble looking for angelus shoe paint and now thanks to arts & craftsman supply Im finally able to restock easily. Great art supply shop very well organized and the workers are super friendly the manager even hooked me up a few times with markers pen and pencils! Ive also won prizes before. Thank you guys for the great work! You are truly appreciated.

Very well stocked, I wish I knew of this place earlier! Felt like a kind of dodgy neighborhood but it was easy to see how connected the staff were with the community, even saw them helping a guy look for his phone out front. Cashiers were so polite! Ended up buying more than I came in for (well, it IS an art store) and felt the prices were pretty normal - Im used to shopping in San Francisco/Berkeley for art supplies so I am aware of what the marked up numbers would be for the same items. Definitely will stop by again next time I am in the area.

I had to buy spray paint made by Montana shopped around several sign supplier nearby and nobody had it in stock until somebody mentioned artist & Craftsman supply low and behold they had exactly what I needed and saved the day! Nicolette was kind enough to put the spray cans on hold

By far the best place in the Los Angeles area to buy art supplies. As a sculptor of all types of stone, I visited at least a dozen stores in search of stone. This is the only business that carries marble, soapstone and various other types of rocks to carve. Great selection of paints, brushes and tools of creation. Senior and student discounts available. Only drawback is limited parking.

Yesterday, I walk-in for the first time. They have everything you need. I was looking for a mechanical pencil & refills and they helped me find the right refills for my taste. They have a great collection of arts supplies and more. Love the collection of handmade Craft paper. Staff was great and helpful. I will definitely coming back again for more.

Great selection, really helpful staff! I could wander in there for days checking out all the cool things I never realized I needed. If you are tight on cash, tho, check around first. I can usually do better on price, but the distance Id have to drive for the savings often doesnt make it worth it. All in all, its one of the best art stores in the city!

My go-to art supply store. I mostly prefer this shop to Blick. They have a great variety of legitimate art brand paper, pens, paint, and raw supplies as well. I also have fun browsing the lower section which is mostly just toys and fun stuff. Theres a student discount too. To be honest, I sometimes just browse the whole store for fun! Parking is available in the alley, or street parking can be found if you drive around.

Super helpful staff, amazingly thorough and varied selection, definitely swinging back by on my way out of town for a couple of gifts. Pretty reasonable prices even compared to retail-hell discount chain stores, but also much nicer quality tools and materials. *crazy* cool materials like washi paper, etc. If youre artsy/crafty and need a nice break in your day, just stop by and browse, or if you have a specific project in mind, I cant imagine they wouldnt be able to set you up with exactly what you need, from paint to adhesives to drawing and drafting tools.

Great place to find art supplies

Ive been here twice already and have gotten so many great deals (and the sheer amount of supplies and brands in this store is amazing)! Art supplies are so, so expensive, and as a poor art student this place was paradise!Ive spent a lot already, but I would have spent FAR more if I went to anywhere else. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable, and always there to help. If I didnt live so far away this would be my #1 shopping place, and Ill try to come here whenever I can.

Very few complete art stores around. This is great in selections, qualities, and completeness. Price is OK. Know what you are buying, the workers many not know all the products in store well enough. Like my inks were not for fountain pen but they said it will work. Not their fault, but they should say they dont know if not sure.

Second time I went in the store. Wanted to exchange some papers for a different color, not knowing that papers are NON-return/exchangeable. But the clerk let me do it anyway. He was nice and helpful. I would go back every time. Thank you, Blick. You guys rock.

Very quiet. I love this place, prices are similar to a Michaels so i dont have issues with pricing. Anything you need is easily found here in their well organized aisles. I come here for soap making supplies. From molds to pigments, they have all you need in this place. Always support your local businesses!

Favorite art store. Staff is always helpful. This is where I get most of my supplies. Lots of spray paint and wood panels and some arts and crafts stuff as well for kids.

Very nice place, you can find everything you need for any artistic project! The employees are very helpful even though its well known that most people who work at art stores have no clue about materials and supplies, this place is the exception! The only downside is the parking and location, sometimes its very inconvenient and even impossible to find a spot, besides that everything else is just perfect.

They actually had some great sales, a ton of a mixture of art and craft supplies-many of which had good sales and prices. Happy they exist and will come again-wouldnt mind a member or rewards program if its a possibility :)

I went in to buy etching cream. Was very happy they had it. Paid over $20 for it. To find out when I wanted to use it. Someone had used it before me. They sold me a used item. Sucks!!! Not happy at all. Who does that?

Great place to pick up some taxing Art supplies on the fly. Be prepared to cut your shopping in half if not 3rds. 3-4 brand selection for Beginners and Professionals. The Clerks know what they are talking about. I guess you can park in the Alley way to the left of the store. The LA ICA is almost next door.

Its easy to miss from 7th. It looks pretty shabby on the outside, too. I had a hard time figuring out if it was the actual place I was going to. It was. You open the doors and its magical.
